I actually feel bad for expecting this place to be bad after reading all these reviews. We came in on a Tuesday at around 3pm Everything we ordered was delicious. Ribeye Steak was great! 9/10 (only because I asked for medium and it was more of a medium well closer to well done) Came with mashed potatoes so yummmy and taste homemade And what looked like canned green beans but they were also super tasty like butter and garlic. I heard this place was a pretty good spot to try. I wanted to love it, but the delayed service and long waits tarnished my view. The food was delicious, but the overall experience was lackluster. I order a Blackened salmon Ceasar salad, a bunch of lettuce and chunks of tasteless salmon. The dressing for the supposed Ceasar salad was served on the side, this was no Ceasar salad. Initially I asked our waiter about sandwiches and burgers, the waiter said they don't have them, this is despite the fact that on their online menu they list them on the menu, THIS IS A BAIT AND SWITCH PRACTICE. AN UNETHICAL PRACTICE TO MAKE YOU ORDER MORE EXPENSIVE DISH. Flying out from ATL airport on a business trip, we decided to overnight at the DRURY INN. Next door is Malone's Steak & Seafood restaurant and we decided to eat dinner there. The food was very good and the service was great. We give a big shout out to our server Lanaia. She was helpful, attentive and made our experience a wonderful evening. We looked at each other and said, "If we were hiring, we'd hire her." On your visit there ask for her. De-rick, the manager, came by and chatted with us as well. After arriving at the airport I grabbed lunch here before heading to my hotel. The environment is casual and welcoming. I sat in the bar area and was warmly greeted and assisted by Michelle. I ordered the catfish dinner but she told me about the shrimp and catfish special so I went with that. It didn't take long for my food to come out and it was piping hot. The catfish and shrimp were well seasoned and very fresh. The portions were good. There were 2 large filets, 5 shrimp and a decent amount of fries. This was one of the worst dining experiences I ever had. I wish I would've listened to my first mind and left. We sat for 15-20mins and had to give dirty looks before someone came over to ask about drinks. Once we ordered and it was only appetizers it took over an hour and although the server was apologetic it didn't make up for the inconvenience. Then were told it was being boxed up because at that point we were ready to go we had an early flight and needed to rest that to 30 mins or more even after we paid. Just as i for up to all for my money back she brought the food but the food was not hot like it had been sitting and barely lukewarm and the portion was not what was told to us and on top of that one dish wasn't even put in. My bill was $31 for $10 worth of food that was presented terribly even for takeout which it wasn't supposed to be. Never again...... read more

Malone's Steak & Seafood on December 15th, 2025 My friend and I decided to dine at Malone's Steak & Seafood on Friday, December 15th. It wasn't my first time here, but it was for my friend, who had eaten here before. I started with the Stuffed Shrimp appetizer. Gulf shrimp stuffed with crabmeat and baked to perfection. They were delicious, and I really enjoyed them. I also had a margarita, which was strong and refreshing. For my entrée, I went with the bourbon salmon, served with mashed potatoes and green beans. The salmon was tasty, though I forgot to request that it be cooked a little longer since I prefer my salmon well done. The mashed potatoes were clearly homemade, which I loved, and the green beans were solid, though nothing too exciting. The ambiance at Malone's is really nice. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, as well as bar seating, and I believe they even have an upstairs area. It's a great spot for a casual yet enjoyable meal. As for service, everything went smoothly. There were two bartenders handling the entire bar, and they worked seamlessly together, making the process of ordering and receiving drinks fast and efficient with minimal wait time. Overall, I had a great experience, and I'd definitely return. I'll probably try something different next time, but I was happy with my choices this visit. read more

Owner contacted me and wanted to make my visit right. Unfortunately I am not in the ATL area. This incident below was being looked into and hopefully servers will be coached for larger parties going forward! I'm giving it 3 1/2 Malone's would not be my top choice for dinner with a large party if I was in the ATL for another visit. The vibe is a sports bar that has a dingy feel to it. Yet, it would be a cool place to grab a few drinks and dinner with friends. We had a large group and the service was subpar. Knowing you have a large group for a business dinner, there will be an adequate tip. Service should have shown as such. We were asked to bus our own tables when we finished up our appetizers. "Stack all your dishes and place them at the edge of the table". No, that would be your job to collect all dirty dishes. It was the same thing at the end of our meal. I ordered the twin filet tenderloin with a medium rare temperature. One of the two were overcooked. First off, once our food was dropped off, we didn't see our server again until our meal was complete. So I enjoyed only half of my meal as the steak was so over done it was stringy. The food was Not good , not bad. Somewhere in the middle. It's a large restaurant with plenty of seating. It's near the airport so it is fairly busy. Prices are a little high for the quality of food. I do think it is a decent place to sit at the bar to grab a drink and watch a game after work or waiting to go to the airport. read more

It took about 40 minutes for room temperature food to come out. I had the buffalo chicken fingers and they were soggy and cold. The fries were hot but just mid in taste. I'm not sure if it was a one off but my drink was delicious and I could taste the alcohol. They gave us free soup or salad for the wait which was nice but the server was not apologetic about it at all. If I ever returned it would be for drinks and maybe the southwest egg rolls. read more

We came into Atlanta for one day to attend an event and went here for dinner. It took over 15 minutes to have someone come to the table to take our drinks, we waiting over an hour for our food and had to ask when it would be available and finally the food was cold and not the right order. I'm a few weeks late with is review but had to share my first visit to Malone's as it did not disappoint! Malone's offers a solid steakhouse experience that hits all the right notes without being overly pretentious or overpriced. The ambiance is classic and comfortable with dim lighting and a nice vibe. The menu is pretty diverse, with plenty of meats, pastas, and seafood to choose from, so you're bound to find something you'll love! Since I was flying solo, I grabbed a seat at the bar. My server was super nice and clearly knew her stuff. She mixed up an awesome blueberry lemon-drop martini that I couldn't get enough of! I've got to shout out the stuffed shrimp appetizer--cooked to perfection, tender, and stuffed with delicious crab. Yum! For my main, I went with Malone's Pasta, which came with blackened shrimp and chicken, sautéed mushrooms, and broccoli over linguini in a creamy pesto sauce. It was delicious, even though I asked for no mushrooms (not a fan!). My only tiny complaint was that the chicken and shrimp sat on top of the pasta instead of getting tossed in the pesto sauce, but hey, it was still full of flavor and packed a bit more spice than I expected, so thankful I had a cold glass of water nearby! This restaurant was recommended by Dinah who works at the front desk of the hotel that I was staying at. Guests of the hotel also receive 10% off at Malone's. I walked from the hotel which is a short jaunt. Upon entering, you can feel the energy of the place. I was warmly greeted and attended to quickly. I sat at the open bar area. I ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs with a side of french fries. Hands down the best ribs I've ever had. The 1/2 rack is substantial and filling. The bbq sauce was delicious, not too sweet, not too tangy-just right!!! The meat was so soft and tasty. I'm surprised that I ate the whole thing. My family and I are staying in Atlanta for the night before we fly out to NY tomorrow. We wanted a good meal at a steakhouse. We looked up steakhouse and many of the ones first listed were mucho dinero. We finally scrolled to Malone's. All of our nice clothes are packed up. We were looking pretty casual so we wanted a venue that was casual too. Arriving at Malone's, I didn't know how I was going to feel about the place. There were staff members out front hanging out. The building looked pretty run down. It wasn't the best first impression. We walked in and were instantly greeted by several people. We did make a reservation but it wasn't needed. It was early enough that it was still kinda slow. We were sat at a table next to the big windows. We checked out our dinner menu while our server situation was being worked on. Our server was given a table and she had barely made it into work. The hostess grabbed our drink order and when our server finally arrived she dropped them off to us. After looking over the menu, we all finally ordered dinner. My husband started off with a side ceaser salad. For our main course I got grilled shrimp and my husband got a ribeye. The sides are already predetermined for you. They don't want you to change your sides. It's good they are pretty common things. It would have been awful to be served something you're not interested in eating. I appreciate how hot our plates were. It kept our food that much hotter from the kitchen to our table. My grilled shrimp looked fabulous! I got 10 chunky pieces of shrimp. They were grilled perfectly. They also gave me a generous side of rice pilaf. The rice was fluffy and buttery. The green beans were fresh! I like that they removed the stems off the green beans. It's amazing how many restaurants serve green beans with the stem on them still. I didn't leave one green bean on my plate. My husband's steak was juicy and tender. It was more cooked than he would have liked but since it was so tender he didn't mind. I love the char on the steak, it's my favorite. His mashed potatoes were tasty! Creamy, buttery and flavorful! Sha'Daria did a fantastic job taking care of us tonight. She has a beautiful soul and I'm happy she took care of us. We got to end our trip with a great meal! If we are ever back in the Atlanta area, it's just common sense to eat here again. I don't know much about Atlanta but I am smart enough to figure out this restaurant must be the same owner as the restaurant I tried the last time I visited here, Louisiana Bistreaux. Here, they say the seafood and steaks are their signature items. Steaks are aged, Midwestern choice or higher beef. Their most expensive steak is 41.99, so I'm guessing it's mostly choice. I selected the 14oz ribeye with mashed potatoes and I subbed my green beans for broccoli. The steak was okay, but nothing really impressive. The mashed potatoes are chunky and seemed homemade. The green beans were decent. My colleague loves his meal, but I think the Louisiana Bistreaux was actually better food, even though Malone's has some similar dishes and sells them for less. read more

We are from out of town and I specifically wanted a grilled burger and we read online they had three or four kinds but we come in and I'm told they're not on the dinner menu? I look over at the table next to us and they had ordered multiple burgers. :-( Made me extra sad and jealous since burgers are my favorite. I ordered the sirloin and it was half gristle...inedible. I left over half of it on the plate. Couldn't even tell what cut of steak it was. Southwest egg rolls were room temperature inside. I could tell these have been thawed and re frozen multiple times. Never ever place a to-go order from them! We've dined inside the restaurant several times and never had any issues with service. Food is always good but every time we place a to-go order either through their website (which directs you to DoorDash even though you are picking it up) or by calling them directly, there's always an issue. The first time we called in a pickup order a few months ago, we arrived at the restaurant 10 minutes after they said it would be ready since we were at the airport waiting to be shuttled to our car. Imagine our frustration when we arrived and were told that they didn't have our order! After the bartender went to the kitchen to double check, she confirmed that they DID in fact prepare and package our order. After she called the manager over, he discovered that another server gave our food order to the wrong customer. They offered to remake our order but said it would take 25 minutes to prepare! Since we had just arrive home from a long flight and thankfully hadn't paid for the order, we said 'no thanks' and left. That was strike one! Tonight was the final straw! I placed an order on their website (like I often do at their sister restaurant Louisiana Bistreaux). The website routes you to DoorDash for pickup orders and you pay for the order. I received text messages from DoorDash stating that my order would be ready at 6:40pm and even sent a text message saying the order was ready to be picked up. I arrive only for the bartenders to tell me they have no order for my name! They told me the kitchen was really busy and would be working on it soon. I placed my order at 6:15pm and it was now after 7:00pm. I kept my cool and waited another 20 minutes because the restaurant was busy for a weeknight, but still no food or update on my order! I finally asked for the manager and a full refund. The manager said he couldn't give me one and I needed to go through DoorDash. The DoorDash support phone number provided via my order confirmation was the restaurant's! The manager offered to prepare my order but stated it would take another 12-15 minutes!! Wait.. was it never requested and still needed to be cooked?! I asked again for a refund and then my order finally appeared. This place is clearly poorly managed which is a shame because the food is pretty good. But I don't ever want to deal with this kind of service ever again. read more

Our waitress was really nice and we put our orders in after looking through the menu. Had quite a few different options to choose from. Everything we order came out hot and delicious. Conveniently located near the ATL Airport on the corner of Virginia Ave. & Toffie Terr. We had a long flight layover and a friendly hotel shuttle driver recommended Malone's for an appetizing lunch. As appetizer, we had a cup of 'Baked Potato Soup' and 'Smoked Gouda Cheese Grits'. Definitely the best grits I've ever tasted! As entree, we had their 'Malone's Pasta' and the 'Ultimate Cheeseburger'. Everything tasted amazing with a good presentation. I wish I lived near to enjoy this restaurant. And I definitely would come again the mashed potatoes were perfect and broccoli I got the bourbon cheesecake with chocolate cake in it and it was delicious. Also, the service was great as well. A first experience, I will start with the bartender. He was very nice and attentive. This place has a pretty big menu. We saw catfish delivered to a neighbor, it looked terrific. He also said it was great! We then ordered a few snacks to share...chicken sausage gumbo with an order garlic knots, southwestern egg rolls, buffalo wings, and fries. The gumbo and the egg rolls were way too spicy to enjoy. The wings were very small and bland or just overall meh . The garlic knots and fries were both edible and ok but not a sufficient meal. The bartender was nice and provided attentive service. Unfortunately, the kitchen staff was not feeling work the day after Thanksgiving which is a big travel holiday. We ordered a pasta plate, a chicken & mashed potatoes plate, and garlic knots. The restaurant itself wasn't packed at all, so I'm not entirely sure why we were left alone with no update from our waitress on our food, no apology for how long we waited, and in general, it doesn't take almost an hour to get pasta and chicken. So if you are coming here expecting to eat right away, definitely not the place! Food: The presentation from both plates was very eye appealing. I ordered the "Malone's Pasta" plate which comes with deliciously sautéed shrimp and chicken, mushrooms, and of course the creamy pasta in a garlicky, buttery, pesto sauce. It was DELICIOUS. The chicken was delicious, mashed potatoes were perfect, and the green beans were actually really, really good! Usually green beans have this weird bitter taste, but these were definitely cooked and seasoned right. The garlic knots were a huge let down. Never getting them again. They were semi stale, very greasy, very salty, and couldn't even taste the butter at all. It tasted like a deep-fried, salty donut. My boyfriend liked them, but he loves salty things. I gave them all to him. Overall, the food was a solid 4/5. The ambiance about a 3/5. The service and food wait time about a 2/5. That brings me to an overall 3/5 stars.
