I had never been there before but heard good things and they were close to my work so I thought why not try them. I dropped my car off to them and shortly after I got a friendly call telling me what was wrong and what my options were. The price was very reasonable. When I went to pick up my car the owner and his wife were sitting at the front desk and were very friendly. I left my wallet in my car and she saw it when she moved my car and put it in the glove box just to be safe. We had a short conversation that felt like I had known them for years. We've been going here for about two years now, after hearing high praises about Skinner's from long-time locals. having first brought our older pickup in for inspection, we returned after purchasing an older Suzuki. Skinner's has now repaired both vehicles and we've had no problems. In fact, we were pleased with the warranty that came with the front struts replacement on the Suzuki (we knew the struts were needed before we bought it.) A year later, we just had them replace the alternator- again, we were given a nice warranty. The attention given to us as customers so far has been as good as it gets! No one likes having to get their car repaired. It's stressful and inconvenient. At Skinners they are not only very knowledgable but very accommodating. I had dropped off my car to get some repairs and was very happy that they were able to offer me the shop loaner car which saved me the hassle of figuring out how to get to work. They kept me up to date with the progress of my repair via phone call; text and email so I knew what was going on every step of the way. They are trustworthy, fair and just very nice people. Skinner's Automotive is by far the best shop around. The service is just absolutely incredible, the front desk is clean and inviting (most auto shops that I've been to are quite the opposite). They don't push anything down your throat and are very honest with what can wait to be fixed on your car and what needs to be fixed immediately. They extremely fast and knowledgeable. The best place in all of Delaware county to go for car repairs. John and Melissa are two of the nicest people you ever want to meet. They have been taking care of our cars for almost 20 years. I've taken my car there twice before. Both times the repairs/services were done for a reasonable price and within a reasonable amount of time. The people that work there have always been really nice too. Last time I was there, it was for a state inspection and they emailed me a full report on the results of the inspection which was really helpful. I brought my car there because my engine light came on. I made an appt online, and received a confirmation a little while later. The day of the appt i was greeted warmly, and was asked a few questions about my car. They did a full check and diagnostic, and made sure my car was ready for the winter.
