Scrambled eggs w/fresh wild porcini mushrooms and Gruyère cheese; herb roasted potatoes and an AMAZING BISCUIT!!!

Road trip! Always a great start with a great cafe! I had the special which was wild, foraged porcini mushrooms, scrambled eggs and Gruyère cheese, an amazing homemade biscuit, and herbed roasted potatoes. Coffee was excellent as well! They had a BIG party that morning, so it was a bit of a wait BUT the food was well worth it! I only gave 4 stars because of the wait...but it was an unusually large party. Sat outside under the covered sidewalk dining area and enjoyed watching the comings and goings of the locals as they arrived for breakfast. If you are in Dunsmuir...scope it out!!!

They keep bringing it everyday! I love that Chef Rob changes up the menu and offers specials that never disappoint. As they have become more popular they have handled the service challenges well. They have the a great beverage service with nonstop refills and to go option every time you leave. Very cool vibe with live music and special dinner nights. Love this place !

This was the chicken fried steak. It was perfect. even the toast was delicious

This restaurant has seriously upped its game. And it's open for breakfast and lunch on Mondays while most other places in town are closed. A local couple owns an operates this gem. Sometimes they have special events like on Mother's Day.

The server greeted us upon arrival and sat us in a booth. The coffee was brewed fresh and tasted delicious. Nice strong cup of Peet's coffee! I orders the special and my partner order a classic breakfast. They make two kinds of sour dough whole wheat bread on house and it tastes fresh.

The Cornerstone Cafe is my favorite restaurant. All the food is handcrafted with such care and attention to detail. The staff are some of the kindest and most incredible people I've ever met. Dunsmuir is truly lucky to have them.

Prices are high and the service friendly but our food was very slow to arrive. Food was just OK. Better choices in town. Won't be back.

When will this cafe be reopening? I was really looking forward to trying the eggs benny after reading all the amazing reviews, but was so sad to see it was temporarily closed when we drove up for breakfast :(

We were welcomed by Lindsey and a couple regular customers. It's a cute little place with a small, but mighty selection of wines personally picked out by the owners. I loved to hear how they travel around California and Oregon looking for new wine options. I was able to sip before committing, which is always appreciated. My husband is more of a beer drinker, and again a small selection, but nice choices for those non wine drinkers. If you need a pick me up, they also had locally roasted coffee. They do have some little snacks as well. We had such a nice experience that we went back the next day. Lindsey gave us some great recommendations for trails and for a nice dinner in Mt. Shasta. We ended up using most of her recommendations - all which were great! If you are looking for great wine and service, this is definitely the spot. We will definitely be back if we are in the area again!

So we thought we'd have breakfast there before we headed out. The atmosphere is very hip, but that's about it. The mocha was decent, but not awesome. The Americano, the same. My wife got the Monkey Bread because it looked the moistest of the pastries (they all looked very dry). Even heated, it was dry. I ordered the breakfast sandwich, which is one of the more popular menu items. It was very average. And mine got mixed up with another order, so I had to go ask for it. My wife was waiting to eat her pastry until my order came so we could actually eat breakfast together, so her already-dry monkey bread was no longer warm. All in all a very average experience. Not awful, but not great.
