Bethany and Wasatch Canine Camp are amazing! We needed their help with our two female boxers, Harley and Bella. We had Bella since she was a puppy and got Harley a year later, they were both around the same age. After about a year or so after we got Harley, she started getting really aggressive with Bella and attacking her. We looked online for a trainer to come in and help so we didn't have to keep the dogs completely separated all the time. Bethany came over and helped us to better understand how our dogs were acting-she was awesome and so knowledgeable! With her advice, we put them on a feeding schedule (which helped a ton!), we took away the toys and only played with them one at a time to reduce guarding, she helped us understand which cues to look for so we could anticipate their fighting and how to properly react to them. Bethany also suggested that we take them to her socialization classes on Saturdays, which helped SO much! Our dogs were awesome at the classes and it gave them both a good training exercise with others dogs and how to behave. The transformation was incredible and our house became less stressful! Unfortunately, our beloved Harley was diagnosed with cancer and laid to rest the following year (which we believe was part of the reason she was a little crankier than usual). She will always leave a hole in our hearts and we really appreciate what Bethany did to help us better understand her. We recently got a new puppy, Obie, who is 9 months old and started taking him to socialization classes and can't wait to seem him become an awesome dog with help of Bethany and Wasatch Canine Camp! read more

We got in way over our heads with a HIGHLY energetic Springer Spaniel/Border Collie puppy. We had read all the books so we thought we knew what we were doing. But this dog... yikes. We started in the group obedience class when he was 4 months old and the schedule she put him on was a huge life saver. We later took the group e-touch class and it literally changed our lives. Bethany is an amazing trainer and she is knowledgeable about all aspects of dog behavior. She is always available to answer my questions and help in any way she can, even for her group class (lower paying) clients. We took our puppy, Natasha to Wasatch Canine Camp for the puppy training program when she was almost four months and we have seen so many improvements. Bethany will talk to you about the problems you are encountering and give you suggestions on how to correct the bad behavior. These are things that you can't get from a book because everyone's situation is different. When we started going, Natasha basically knew sit and a couple other things. Now she knows down, stay, wait, and place. She is now five months and can actually sit in place for longer than 10 seconds (that's a long time in puppy time!). Wasatch Canine Camp is absolutely incredible. The biggest complaint I've seen is that it is pricey... while that is true, they make your payments worthwhile. (If you can't afford it, that doesn't make it a bad place to train your dog.) My fiance and I were super invested in getting our 6 month old German Shepherd, Griz, to be as obedient as possible. I read the reviews for WCC completely transforming your dog, but I didn't believe it could happen to Griz... yet it DID! Life with him is SO much more enjoyable. I still have to keep him in check, but he's so much more wiling to listen to me. We did the 4 week obedience program, but I'm sure their shorter programs are just as awesome. read more

We decided to add a Bernese Mountain Dog to our family and we were so excited to find Wasatch Canine Camps! I have used WCC training twice with great results. The first time we did just a 2 week training camp to help my pup with bite inhibition and general attitude adjustment. (She was constantly going after the kids and biting and tackling them!). When I picked her up after two weeks she was a different dog! We are currently in the process of some more advanced training with her now and I am already seeing amazing results. We take our one dog Luke to social class every week and it has worked wonders on him. He used to be aggressive towards other dogs but with training from group obedience class, as well as a safe place for him to be himself, he is now much better behaved and doesn't fight or even nip any dogs. He's much more friendly! We are excited to have him and our other dog, Lilly, stay with Bethany while we go on vacation. I trust that they'll have a great time with Bethany and her pack! Bethany thoroughly understands canine behavior, and can pick up on subtle signals that many average trainers miss. She handles everything from puppy behavior to severe aggression, and shows skill and confidence with any behavioral issue. Her Pack to Basics class is a blast and incredibly safe. Great customer service! These guys now what they are doing AND are good to you and your dog. They will help you for years afterward too if issues spring up again. We have had three dogs go through their programs and they are worth every penny. If you are going to spend so much money on a puppy, why not be willing to spend some money on training it so you can keep that puppy without going nuts?? read more

I took my 11 month old yellow lab to Bethany and Wasatch Canine social classes. He is responding beautifully to both the new techniques as well as enjoying the social time with the other large breed dogs. He is so exhausted after the social class and is making life at home much more enjoyable. I would recommend this to everyone with a dog or puppy. I took my puppy to see Bethany for her basic puppy training sessions. It was well worth the money and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Another bonus is that she hosts a dog socialization class on Saturdays where dogs can meet in a well structured environment. Because of Bethany my dog is well trained and well socialized. I took my Doberman to Wasatch Canine Camp for there basic obedience/CGC class. It was amazing to see the improvement in his obedience but also his reaction to other people and dogs. I also attended there weekly social class and have seen how much good this class is for dogs. read more

WCC's programs cover everything including obedience, socialization, nutrition, distractions, and things to help the general well-being of the dog. This program was wonderful in that I feel like it trained me to be a good owner at least as much as it trained my dog. read more
