We have a wedding in Knotts Island NC on the 7th of October…read more We emailed this company in JUNE to see if they would be able to deliver to our venue address since they are the closest ice trailer company we found around Currituck County, and they confirmed they could in fact deliver to our venue. So we then proceeded to contract their services after confirmation, June 30th. On October 3rd my fiancé called to confirm time of trailer drop off and they said "Oh we canceled that contract a week ago there was miscommunication we don't deliver there." OUR WEDDING IS IN 4 DAYS. This is a completely outdoor wedding venue, the refreshments were dependent on this delivery. Not only did we not receive any communication of cancelation, when we basically begged for them to make an exception and they said "there's no money in it for us to travel out there, we canceled it you'll get a refund." Every other ice company is booked since its Columbus day weekend not to mention, even if they did actually contact us they waited until the absolute last minute to cancel the contracted service therefore giving us no time to find a replacement. Now we have to result to filling coolers with ice for our wedding and hoping not only that we have enough ice for our guests, but that it stays cold. It wasn't until my fiancé got off the phone that we got an email of the cancelation and refund being issued. It is clear that this company only cares about the bottom line, and has no accountability for when they make a mistake even if it can potentially screw one of the biggest days of someone's life. They had no empathy of the situation, and only cared about the money they made. Absolutely appalled by this company. I would never recommend this OBX Easy Ice off the shear fact that they have no accountability and if they are callus enough to not care to make things right for someone's wedding day, I could only imagine they don't give a shit about any other event they get contracted for. If I could do 0 stars I would. You will see in the photos attached we contracted them in June and the issues a refund October 3rd, and the address they agreed to service.
