Unique flavors, but AMAZING staff! A cool, different, ice cream shop with some new flavors I've never tried. The staff were so amazing and patient for us first-timers! Super cool mural on the wall too! The only downside was that we found a pretty long hair in our ice cream toward the bottom almost as if it was already in the cup rather than falling into it. The location is in the Cape Henry Plaza shopping center located on the southeast corner of Shore Drive & Great Neck Roads. Parking is plentiful. The interior has only a few tables. So at busy times it's choose your flavor & go. But that doesn't have any effect on the popularity of the spot at night, especially during tourist season. Daytime is an easier time to get inside. But who can resist an after dinner treat when dining at one of the nearby restaurants. My favorite flavor is Blueberry Goat Cheese. Yes Virginia, it is a great combination. Phenomenal ice cream tucked away in a strip mall! It has a really fun and bright ambiance and you order at the counter as soon as you walk in. Plenty of parking out front. We ordered a flight which has 4 small cups to pick your own variety. We ordered the goat cheese and blueberry swirl, vanilla, mint chip and non dairy chocolate. This place was extremely busy, but turned customers over really quickly. You may not get a seat inside, but you could always grab the vibe and head to the beach over at First Landing and watch the waves, and maybe a sunset. (Mine didn't make it that long.....) The inside has a lot of cute local decor. It smells wonderful of fresh waffle cones (they are constantly making fresh cones per order!) And the ice cream... omg! My boyfriend loves to get the goat cheese and blueberry ice cream. This one is really interesting!! It has a savory and sweet flavor. I haven't had goat cheese besides in this, and I would compare it to brie. Definitely goes great with the blueberry. I love to get the cookies and cream. There are always nice big chunks of cookie. This is how its done!! I have also gotten butter pecan! I wish it had a little more pecans in it, but it's still delicious. This has been my go-to when ice cream cravings kick in and it has never let me down! Blue Cow has 12 Classic Flavors that have been available every time I've gone but an additional 6-8 Featured Flavors that go on rotation throughout the year. So far I have tried their Cake Batter, Oreo, Double-fold Vanilla, Goat Cheese Blueberry Swirl and Chocolate Brownie...I'd have them all over and over again - 10/10! This last visit, I tried the Triple Berry Crisp and ohhhhh myyy, it was DELICIOUS!! If only I could convince them to make it a "Classic"! Also appreciated their on-going efforts at keeping everyone safe in times of the coronavirus! There is a sign outside reminding everyone to don a mask and to enter the store in groups, allowing for only two parties inside at a time. The crew is wearing masks and gloves at all times and changing gloves when ringing you up. I must also extend an additional thank you to the crew that was on this past weekend, the evening of October 3rd. After issues with their credit card system despite trying to run the charge twice and waiting for several minutes, we were offered our ice cream on the house instead of having us wait any longer.
