I drop my car off to get worked on for disc brakes repair. I met the owner and very moment I talk to him. He had a shitty attitude and give the impression that he was pressed for time and didn't really want to do the work. However, we set it up and when I returned His Tone & Demeanor was like a Juvenile Delinquent. I asked him if he had a warranty for the work. I that in case something went wrong and had to bring it back. He he said that he has been doing this work for about 30 years. He also said that he's owned the business for six years. I told him that six years in the business world is very little time. In all my years dealing with Mechanics I've never met someone with such a negative attitude and sarcastic tone. This incident occurred on February 20 2023, at about 1548 hrs. I suggest that if this person can't handle the pressure of his work, and expresses himself this way he has no business doing this kind of job or career where he displays that temperament. I highly suggest that all patrons locate another source for all mechanical work in the immediate area. This person is not an example of what it means to be involved in automobile mechanical, Service or repairs. With this kind of attitude I predict that he won't be in business long. If I ever show up at his place of business again it won't go well for him. I suggest he learns to practice humility and a philosophy that is more conducive to long term success. Good luck though cause he's going to need it If he plans to be successful. In my experience he presents himself as as a Convict. Believe me I once supervised numerous caseloads under my work as a Correctional Counselor and a State of California Parole Agent for nearly 30 years. I contacted Edgar, the owner, and we set a date for me to have my car checked out. Edgar charged me a very fair price to repair my car and even saved all the old parts to show how bad they were. Later when I needed another repair he was very honest about what the cat needed and let me know I may want to sell it. He gave me a detailed list of what the car needed to run well again and didn't charge me at all. With the document he gave me I was able to sell my 750 on Offer Up of all places. I needed to address a noise & made an appointment at CarMax on my app. Turns out that you can't make a service appointment on the app. Found out when I arrived my appointment was for buying a car . I would never recommend anyone here even for an oil change. Teach your mechanics done customer service. No one deserves this treatment. At the end of January I was leaving Corona to head to my job in San Diego and my car was making a really scary noise in the engine area. (Sorry for the lack of detailed description, I'm not a car person!) I started my drive and the noise started to get louder and louder, it sounded like I had a flat..but it was coming from my engine. ANYWAYS, long story short I needed a quick fix ASAP, since I didn't know what was wrong! Called around a few car shops and Team Car Care answered right away, I told them my issue and said to bring it right in. Turns out it was my power steering belt that was about to go out and they gave me a reasonable estimate. Hersch was very nice and didn't take advantage of my lack of knowledge in cars. He told me a number of problems that were wrong, but assured me they weren't pressing issues and to take my time with getting them fixed. The power steering belt and pulley system took about 6 hours which I thought was great, considering the belt was not visible from just popping open the hood. Definitely recommend. Edgar and team went through the fuel system starting the the fuel pump and then moving to the fuel intake system. After nothing was found he moved to the computer system. He eventually had to replace the computer. My 07' runs better than ever. This is the 3rd time he has helped me with doing a fantastic job and not gouging me with costs. DO NOT COME HERE for CarMax repair, he will eventually tell you the truth, after complete aggravation and then it's too late to pick up your car! His only excuse was "I have 20 cars in every day, how do you expect me to work on your car specifically?" Whoa. That's not what was I was asking. I just thought he'd give me more than... "yes, we confirmed the noises" after having it all day!!!! Duh. I specifically used this place because CarMax has them listed as alternative places for warranty repair and we needed a place that works on "Jaguars". Edgar knew that I already had a "confirmed" noise under the car from CarMax (he had the paperwork!!) and they were unable to find because they are not "Jag" guys. The driver's window squeaks too. I was NOT asking him to "confirm" my problems, you could hear them instantly, I was asking him to FIX them please, I'm under full warranty! He had my car ALL DAY without one courtesy call!! I had to call him at 5:30. He then told me that he confirmed the noises and that I would be responsible for all take down and replacement if he could not find the problem. Why on Earth wasn't he upfront about that??? I would not have wasted my time and taken it back to CarMax. And, if you respond here Edgar, let me assure readers, he was NOT truthful about it, He did NOT tell me that upfront. He said he would have to get approval first, which is obvious. Subsequently, he did NOT do his 31 point (or whatever it was, as he PROMISED he would do at the beginning). I completely and totally am aware that noises are not easy, but why did he even bother taking my car in on appointment, if he could not take the time to work on my car and give it the attention that I expected from a professional repair place.
