Such a nice free thing to do in the city of Corona. The first museum we entered was the history of Corona. Explore the early beginnings of Corona from 1914. You can see schools, firefighter uniforms, racing, agriculture and even a small convenience store. The woman that works there was so sweet and welcoming. She offered us fruit on our way out. Next we went to see the train museum. It was so detailed and cute. Keep an eye out for the parts that move. There's a spot to step up on for the littlest to take a closer look. My toddler was still too small to see so I was carrying her around and a kind man brought out a stepping stool for her to stand up on. Last we went into the barn to see the horse and carriage. We enjoyed the sun outside in the garden and read some books. Overall we had a wonderful time and I was so grateful for everyone's hospitality. read more

Pretty little area with options to rent for events. I went over on a Saturday in January to get a "lay of the land" in researching a venue for our wedding next year. I didn't ask anyone "in charge" for info but, visited the art museum building and enjoyed speaking with the folks gathered to look at the art and chat. Enjoyed my time walking the grounds. I just don't know if the rules they have in place will work in our budget as the rental fee is a bit steep and doesn't even include chairs for a wedding ceremony at the gazebo lawn area. It also seems steep to have to secure one of their security people to serve a champagne toast. Those are logistics for our particular needs that don't effect this park as a whole. Not even from the city of Corona, but was poking around google maps and saw this as a place of interest so decided to pay it a visit before 2pm and was pleasantly surprised by the historic keepsakes of the location with the history of the lemons and citrus farming to relics of pharmacy and doctor's notes my gf enjoying looking at. My inner child was thrilled and amazed by catching the train enthusiast display they were putting on in a different building showing riverside county and all it's history as well as some notable locations such as north park which I may visit in the future. I had a great time talking with one of the seniors who was very knowledgeable about all the little moving parts of the build and it was just fun as an adult to admire the tiny details hobbyist have for the craft! I wish I could give this venue no stars. Whatever you do, do NOT get married here. Terri is the event coordinator that works with brides, yet she should not be in this position. At the start, she was great, but then, the Saturday prior to my wedding, she decided to ruin everything. She not only lies about everything, does not stick to the contract, but then the day off decided to ruin even more of my wedding. I have all the texts and documents to show how unprofessional she truly is, and yet she did not stick to her word or the contract, when showed her own words and writing. Please do yourself a favor and AVOID this place. She will ruin your day and be a complete jerk to your guest. Thankfully my family and guest made my wedding the best and I got to marry my best friend, because terri did everything she could to ruin everything else. So I hope she was happy at the end of MY wedding. read more

Ms. Cindi Taylor surely made our experience unforgettable in one of the worst of ways. She is an absolutely vile representation of this Museum and it is a real shame. We booked a senior photo shoot session online on April 20th, and agreed on May 15th being the date that worked best for us & our hired photographer, and were emailed a receipt. As we drove onto the venue at 6pm, we noticed that there was an event going on. Before going onto the property I decided to go speak to whomever was in the office of 'Park Manager' rather than intrude on whatever event was happening. I politely let her know that we had booked these photos a month ago, before she brushed me off saying "well that is not going to happen." From the moment I stepped into that room, Cindi made it very clear she was a deplorable, shameful, and dishonorable representation of the City of Corona & the Heritage Museum. When I let Cindi know the way she was speaking to me was unkind, she said "you're right," and got up before almost grabbing me by the arm and forcefully opening the door before slamming it right in my face. When my mom, sister, and I went in a second time to show her the receipt with our confirmed date and booking, she had let the manager, Ted Taylor know and that "it just won't happen today." Mr. Taylor did not offer an explanation or resolution. And my sister heard Cindi call me a bitch, after confronting her about that, she said "well she is one." What is astonishing to me is the manner in which Cindi conducted herself, as if she were above me, and she was in authority, she was unapologetic and laughed in our faces. Nobody should ever feel they can treat others the way Cindi treated me, my sister, and mother. The lasting memory of a milestone occasion of graduating high school will forever be tainted by how Cindi conducted herself. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid giving any form of donation to this museum as there has been no correspondence from anyone who works there about the awful experience I had. I honestly feel so bad for Ms. Taylor and that she feels the need to project how sad and miserable she must be onto others. read more

My daughter wanted a quaint little wedding in a garden. And thought this place would be perfect. We came to the venue two months before the wedding to look at the property and make sure it would be a good fit for her wedding. When we were there, it was slightly overgrown and we were told that it would be cleaned up, raked, and all the flowers should be trimmed back prior to the wedding. *Three days before the wedding when we came to do our walk-through, there were still some overgrown things as well as enough leaves to make several piles. Not just a few. (The leaves were so bad that they got stuck in the bride dress while walking down the aisle. ) The bridal suite was requested to be cooled off since the heat index was high for the day. When we arrived the air was on but not blowing cool air. When we looked at the filters we were shocked to see an 1/2 of thick black debris. We of course cleaned these immediately and resulted in cool air flow. Then when the bride went to use the restroom,she found over 15 spiders and webs in the bathroom (that we had to kill and dispose of they were everywhere on the mirror in the sink on the toilet). It was so disgusting. The rugs and the couch had stains. That were so bad that we ended up going and getting towels out of our car to place on the couch, so that the bride could sit in her white dress and not get dirty. The stains were on both sides of the couch cushions so they had already been flipped previously. It takes with only a little bit of effort, every few months, clean the rugs and clean the couch. If the cottage is used, it should be at least cleaned after each service. The whole cottage was a total gross mess. We were given five trash cans with garbage bags that were provided by Corona Heritage Park, but even though they provided the trash cans that we would be paying for an additional trash service for them to be removed from the property. All garbage was placed in the trash cans at the location that they left him for us so that's where we figured they wanted us to leave it but it ended up costing me a $60 fee for them to remove their own garbage cans. But the most disrespectful part of all of this, the lady who was in charge of the park, stayed for the entire service in with the guests...totally fine but She posted pictures of my daughters wedding and ceremony before my daughter even had a chance to look at any of her own pictures. Again, my daughter had NOT seen or posted a single picture on Facebook, Instagram or TikTok, of her own wedding before this lady posted a picture promoting their venue. It was posted within hours of the ceremony!! This venue was also infested with thousands and thousands of mosquitoes and gnats. We were not informed that there were any issues with bugs. We had to run to a pharmacy and get bug spray for our guests because they were being eaten alive. Again this is an outdoor venue and I understand that..but we are paying for a service to be provided for us and if that means you need to spray for bugs and clean carpets, and do all of those things then that's what should be done to run your business properly. I was also informed that within five business days of the ceremony I would receive my deposit check back in the mail. When I hadn't received it by day eight, I contacted the park, I was informed that their accounts have been compromised, and everything had been placed on a hold. I was informed that a new check would be issued and I should receive it in the next few days. That's something you should relay if there's an issue that impacts your clients, Right?!?When I received the check, I deposited it immediately. I was then contacted the following day by the Park asking me if I had deposited the check or not. ANOTHER ISSUE WITH THE REFUND???They informed me that their mailbox had been been compromised and they were having to cancel all the checks that they had issued. So then I sat and waited another five days to make sure that my bank didn't deny the check because they had another issue on their end. Total mess! read more

Corona has struggled to honor what is left of the historical homes and businesses that were at the core of a great little Sunkist-influenced town since it was founded in 1886. The city was designed around "The Circle", aka Grand Blvd. (a once famous, one mile raceway in 1913, 1914 and 1916). For me, as an owner of one of the historical homes that sits on that circle, it is difficult to understand what motivated the city decision makers to tear down and replace. It has completely lost it's old town character and is now a mish-mash of incongruities. But now, I need to get off my soapbox and gratefully thank the faithful residents who see it my way and unselfishly volunteered their time to memorialize this little town by saving some of the old Foothill Farms buildings and turning them into a small park and museum south of town. And that recognition extends to our small but mighty Historical Society that saved many historical homes from being torn down in the name of progress, by finding people willing to purchase and move them to new lots. They have saved and stored in boxes the entire turn-of-the-century Victoria Hotel that was scheduled for destruction in favor of a B of A parking lot that now graces that spot. Lacking money to rebuild, it's parts still sit quietly waiting for the millions of $$$ needed in funds. Sad but inspirational. The museum is small, with antiquities, pictures, period clothing, all lovingly donated by Corona families. There is a small gift shop, and an antique shop next door. The classes that Dennis Y speaks of, are an added bonus that draws our community together. It is a welcoming spot with a warm feeling. Mature trees, nostalgic gardens, inviting structures, a model railroad, a quiet place to see and appreciate how much life has changed in the past 100 years. Please come and visit. read more

One of my relatives had an event at this location. The place is beautiful! My review is solely based on customer services and the catering company they suggested. We don't understand how this place has management who are not polite, without any professionalism. We had a wedding rehearsal scheduled and barely went over for a few minutes and this lady comes out yelling and pushing us out. The catering service they suggested ran over an hour late with the food, my sister had ordered rice pilaf and while waiting for the food to be served they came to inform us that something had gone wrong with the rice. They served mashed potatoes from an instant mashed potatoes product, the vegetables from frozen carrots, cauliflower and carrots mix. How can a catering company not know how to served fresh veggies? When they served the food it was cold. The lady managing the Catering was yelling I professionally to a young man while we were waiting for the salad . Again, the place is beautiful! Went to see this as a potential venue for our wedding. Venue grounds have a lot of potential; really liked the rustic feel and close to our family. Great outdoorsy feel without going to far. Although venue has potential, I felt as if the decisions were being made for us. Because of the staff's "fifteen years experience" working there we were being told how things "ran" there. The onsite coordinator (Cindy) kept making comments on how low budgets weddings typically worked; mind you WE NEVER MENTIONED OUR BUDGET. We were told to have our "large family" be advised to help to keep costs lower; WE HAD NOT MENTIONED GUEST COUNT! I truly did not feel comfortable after being there 5-10 minutes. We also did not like the pricing for the all inclusive packages. The costs were ridiculous. The options for providing my own vendors was not supported by Cindy. She "highly recommends" HER vendors and wouldn't want to see others. Overall venue has great potential for events. Would really recommend for people whom are willing to hire and outside coordinator or have more patience than I do or be okay with Cindy calling your wedding HER WEDDING. I had my wedding here on June 13th and up until the rehearsal I had nothing but great things to say. We booked well in advance giving us plenty of time to pay for everything. This place is super affordable and still under the radar with regards to wedding venues in the corona area, which is why we went with it. The outdoor vibe with the tea lights above the dance floor gave us the beautiful backyard feel we wanted! We met with vendors a couple times before the big day and still everything was great. The day of the rehearsal (2 days before the wedding) we get there and the gorgeous lemon groves they advertise so much have mounds and mounds of dirt everywhere. You couldn't even go inside them because it was so dusty! On top of that, they clearly did some tree trimming and large branches were everywhere!! I went over to the office with my coordinator to ask Cindy if it would be cleaned up on time. Her response was that there is always work being done there and it "should" be cleaned up. Very nonchalant for having bragged so much about their lemon groves. Thank God I hired a coordinator and thank God she brought a shovel the day of the wedding because it in fact was not cleaned up. It was actually worse. The intent was to do our first look inside the groves. Well our photographers went over to scope it out, came to me, and pointed at their shoes and pants.... FULL OF DUST. They highly suggested we not go in there otherwise my dress would have been ruined before the ceremony even started. We opted to set up right outside of them so at least you can see the groves in the background. The rest of the night was absolutely flawless. Hiring my coordinator was the best thing I ever did! She did absolutely everything and kept me out of the loop on all things happening before the wedding. She shoveled dirt and picked up tons of branches and never told me until after the wedding! I love her for that! According to Cindy, it was quite a messy wedding, even though we came by early the next morning and it was fine. $100 was taken off our deposit for a clean up fee. Sounds like a rip off to me, but we didn't feel like fighting it. Best night of our lives that went pretty much flawless! 3 stars are for the venue its self. It's beautiful and easy because you can bring in all your own vendors, including alcohol! I bet Cindy would have been more understanding about the mounds of dirt and tree branches if she had been the coordinator, but oh well! read more

My children and I really enjoyed the small museum at Corona Heritage Park. There was a lot of information about Corona and the industries that helped shape it's early years. The docent of the museum was on her lunch hour while we were there, I was a little disappointed that no one was around to answer questions about Heritage Park. We also visited the antique store in the parking lot, Good Cents Vintage & Thrift. The owner of the store was very friendly and told me that there are different functions throughout the year at Heritage Park. I look forward to learning more about those. The antique store was very clean and had a wide variety of vintage and antique items. Overall it was a fun afternoon adventure for my children and myself. read more

Their site manager/wedding coordinator, Cindy, is the sweetest woman and truly goes out of her way to make your day special. We had looked for an outdoor venue all around Riverside County, and they were all sub-par, too expensive, and didn't allow many guests. This location is gorgeous, allows up to 300 guests, provides lighting, has an adorable cottage for the bride to find sanctuary and get ready, has very flexible hours, and has a beautiful old-Corona historical feel. We had our wedding here last month and so glad we picked this venue. Everyone told is it was beautiful and our photos showed that. Our photographer was part of the package, really fun and patient with my crazy relatives. The pictures made us look like celebs. Every part of the packages were more complete than other venues, and for way less. I'd call Cindi off and on for months working out ideas and details. Her help and suggestions made it better than I thought it could be. Her experience made it run like clockwork, as did the DJ. Most DJs want to be the center of attention. This one made our music like our own personal soundtrack. It all moved smooth and we were the stars. Cindi's florist worked with me until it was just my style and even the officiant was incredible. I have to say my family really likes their food and we all liked Cindi's. Everyone commented on how amazing it was along with their whole crew. I feel so lucky we found this cute place. Also if you are a train enthusiast you will like their model train exhibit but make sure you get an official guide the first and third sat. I had a very unfortunate experience at heritage park that I needed to share so that others would beware. I had my 1 year old's birthday pics scheduled here with an independent photographer at the beginning of September. When we arrived my photog advised me she hadnt been able to reserve the location as the park's online reservation system had been down and she had tried calling several times without resolution. We started photos and shortly thereafter an employee (owner??) approached us screaming to get out or he would call the cops. He was 40-50, over 6 ft tall and SCREAMING and cursing at me, my 1 year old child and our young petite female photographer. My photographer attempted to explain her many attempts to reserve the location and even tried to show the failed email attempt on her phone. He refused to listen and kept yelling, screaming and cursing in the photographers face. By this point my child was screaming, terrified, and both the photog and I were in tears at this man's behavior and threatening demeanor. We left and went to Mt Gate. Now i completely understand this is private property. However the way this man handled this situation was appalling!!! To behave that way to 2 women and in front of a child was horrific. I must urge anyone reading this to not give this location your business. The employee (or owner?) was completely unprofessional and obviously unable to carry an adult conversation. My child took an hour to calm down because of this man's demeanor and I felt horribly for how the photographer was treated. It was sad all around and how disappointing that because of this man's representation I feel the need to never give this beautiful park my business again. I just got married here on April 26th. It is really such a beautiful place. The buildings give it a rustic feel and the greenery is gorgeous. They are VERY reasonably priced and accommodate a large crowd. Cindy, the wedding coordinator, was so kind and SO HELPFUL! She answered any questions I had any time I texted her. She also was able to suggest vendors who she knew! I would suggest this place to anyone who is looking to have an outdoor wedding. read more

My family and I came to this park because we heard from a friend about this place being a " hidden gem" as an artist colony. Before heading over, I saw the impressive website because there was a section for the artists in residence. I was hoping we would have a chance to see some of the studios open. The only ones open was ceramics and wood shop. The rest were closed ( this includes the museum). Hmmm? We notice the hours read 10 am to 2 pm. We came on a Wednesday right around 2:30 pm and I wondered where in their mind did they open museums for only 4 hours? If it were not for the two studios that were open, I would have called this a complete bust! The lady in the ceramics area was nice enough to look around as she worked. The best tour was in the wood shop. We stayed for part of a class lecture. Denis entertained my family by bringing out hand shaver planes to let my wife and I to try. I didn't think they have wood classes like this anymore. We wish we could have seen more of the other studios. The ones we didn't see was glassblowing, photography, art education and the arts house. read more

Beware of the verbally abusive manager! We are a homeschool family and came to the museum for what we hoped would be a fun impromptu field trip with the family on my birthday. We unknowingly arrived close to closing time about 1:30p. My 6 year old and I visited the museum while my husband and preteen daughter examined the map outside. The manager immediately came out and began questioning them as to why they were there in an accusing tone. They thought it was strange but dismissed it and began to try to figure out where to start looking around. When my son and I came out of the museum, we realized we couldn't look at some of the buildings since they appeared to already be closed so we started to walk toward a cute little "brides" house on the grounds when the angry manager accosted us by rudely shoving a piece of paper into my husbands face, accusing us of being here for a photo shoot. When we said we were just here with our family to look around, he very angrily called us liars in front of my children and stormed off. Now, I had been looking at their website earlier that day for directions and saw all the warnings saying photographers need a permit so I had already called and explained we were coming for a visit and asked if it was okay for us to take pictures while we were here. On the phone, this very same manager had said taking casual pics of my family during our visit was fine. Apparently, because I had a nice camera and wasn't only using my cell phone to take pictures of our outing, this manager classified us as a professional photographer and felt it okay to make assumptions about us, verbally attack us, and completely ruin our family outing for my birthday. Not one to let someone walk all over me, before we left, I went into his office to tell him how inappropriate his behavior was and tell him that I didn't appreciate him attacking us, especially in front of our children. That's when his anger turned to arrogance and he made a comment to the effect that I was just another angry professional photographer. I then ended up speaking to the president of the museum who half heartedly apologized and said that I need to understand that he behaved this way because they have a problem with professional photographers. I told her that regardless of what he thought, he should have asked questions instead of jumping to conclusions. Besides, when is it ever okay to treat someone like this? I even explained that this very same manager had told me earlier over the phone that we could take pics. Her response was that they saw someone earlier that day and thought she was the homeschooler that had called so he was justified in the way he behaved toward us. Apparently, the manager has anger issues and doesn't deal very well with the public. Make a visit with your family at your own risk! At the very least, know that you are only allowed to document your family's visit if you use your cell phone to take a picture. What a horrible experience! read more

We had our wedding at Corona Heritage Park and Museum this past November 2015. When I first stumbled across the Event Center's page, I had to pinch myself and thought it had to be too good to be true. Their packages are awesome and VERY budget friendly. Even their highest end package was more reasonable than most wedding packages at other venues. Cindi loves her job and it shows! A few days before the wedding she called me, totally bummed that the drought had caused much of the grass to die off. She went out of her way to order an aisle runner to be sure that the ceremony area still looked beautiful. I honestly didn't even notice the grass the day-of because the staff did such a phenomenal job. My only complaint about the whole day was that it was very cold... but what should I expect the last Saturday in November to be? A cold front came in just in time for the wedding date in the middle of a beautiful month. Even this Cindi checked in on with me and encouraged me to bring in heaters. She had some for rent or suggested I have family bring some in to save money. Cindi also handles the food catering. The food was delicious! We went with the Tri-Tip, Lemon Pepper Chicken, Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans. The food was above and beyond your typical buffet wedding food and there was plenty of it! No guest went hungry that night. My husband is diabetic and Cindi went out of her way again to ensure we had a small sugar free cake for him! Because we went with the package, we used all of the vendors that came with it and I could not have been happier with the group! AAA florist did a gorgeous job on our flowers, especially the bouquets! I had a request for a specific type of thistle and they made sure to incorporate it. Gary was our DJ, but he was so much more than that! He knows exactly what he is doing! I had several songs I wanted for our ceremony, including times when I wanted some started and ended within the song. Gary completely got my vision and executed it PERFECTLY! He takes time to understand your music preferences and does his best to bring your style to the big day. We had many guests approach us and tell us how great the music was. Gary was not just the DJ, he was the one who kept the night moving. I've encountered some pretty self-absorbed DJs who think its their night to take the stage. Gary just kept everything flowing. You didn't really notice he was there, only that everything seemed to keep moving smoothly and that there were some great jams to go along with it. Our photographer was Rosanna Hanson, and let me tell you, this woman is amazing! Even if you decide to go with a different venue, definitely check out Rosanna. She is super professional and even easier to work with. She has a great eye for the tiniest details and got some amazing shots. My mom is a hard woman to please and she was blown away with the stunning photos! I can't wait to put together our wedding album with her. She is definitely our family photographer from here on out. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding day or wedding planning experience. I am so happy and thankful for the amazing and loving group of people who helped make it smooth process and beautiful, perfect day THANK YOU! read more
