We have been to Coronado Brewing several times and have always enjoyed the food & beverages. We had the Pilsner which was light & refreshing. The Cobb salad is always tasty Others had the Carnitas tacos and gave them high marks We beet the crowds by coming a little earlier this time which I highly recommend if you want to get in & out faster and it's less noisy. No big parking lot so keep that in mind. Street parking can be hard to find on busy weekends. Both pet & kid friendly.

Random Saturday afternoon drink and snack

I bought their beer many times from the grocery stores, but never been to their brewery before. My girlfriend and I were in the neighborhood so decided to drop by for a Saturday afternoon drink and snack. The place is spacious with indoor and outdoor seatings. The bartenders and servers are attentive and friendly. Their beer and food selections are great. We will definitely come back to try out more of their menu items.

Was in the area, and stopped by for a quick beer. Place is really great and the beer is good! Didn't get food, but next time I will!

This is my neighborhood brewery. Came here on a Sunday after pickleball. I ordered a flight. My husband got a pint. We shared the chicken Caesar salad and shared the turkey wrap with chips. The Caesar was delicious! You could taste the anchovies! Plenty of salad/dressing/cheese/croutons. The wrap was hearty. Food came out promptly. Nothing out of the ordinary with service and friendliness. The Padre game was on so my husband was happy! lol

Love this brewery. The parking is NOT the best, and we did have to walk a ways to get here, but it was worth it. The set up is nice, they have an inside area with some cool merch, nice bartender, a look at the actual brewery set up, and then an outside area that is shaded. There are the big fridges just full of beer, which of course we purchased. It was a nice trip to see the actual brewery since we were in the area.

This place is a great go to for beers and great bar food. They have TVs if you want to watch sports and also a huge outdoor a patio area. A good place to check out for pizza and apps

Great selection of beers and constantly rotating new taps. Love the big pretzel and the pizzas I've had in the past were great. Not a huge fan of these nachos, however, probably my fault for ordering nachos at a brewery when I literally live in a city with Mexican food spots at every corner. Love the patio and atmosphere at this location.

The very refreshing Salty Crew Blonde Ale from Coronado Brewing!

Went to another Coronado Brewing location and Steve and I liked the beer experience we had here more than previously. It was more of our beer choice than anything else. The beer we had at this location was the Salty Crew. This was a very nice blonde that we had. The flavor highlights is clean, crisp and bready. The beer is also very light bodied and refreshing to enjoy and Steve and myself both found it to be a pleasant experience!

3.5 stars The service and the beer here were both phenomenal! We liked every beer in our flight and would've ordered a full pour of any of them! We tried the black ipa, a hibiscus blonde, the watermelon sour and the watermelon and strawberry cider. The food was the disappointing factor. My shrimp tacos were a bit bland and the tortillas left a lot to be desired. The pizza tasted very similar to sbarros food court pizza. We might have caught them on an off day, so we would come back to try different food items. At the very least we will definitely be back for the beer!

Came on a weekend, surprisingly I found parking easily on the street. The beer is good as always. We ordered a small Butcher shop and pepperoni pizza, as well as artichoke dip. The Artichoke dip came with nicely warmed pita slices as well as tortilla chips. It was cheesy and had a nice flavor and also a large amount. I found myself putting a lot of dip of each piece because if I put the normal amount I'd probably run out of chips and pita before the dip. I ended up using the pizza crust which was also great. The pizza was very good, light and spongy crust with just the right amount of crunch to it. The small was a good size for 1 person. It leans more toward Napolitano style pizza but not as wet which is always my complaint. Probably Napolitano style pizza but not a traditional domed pizza oven. The Butcher shop came topped with pepperoni, sausage and ham which provided lots of flavor. I think they could open a stand alone pizza shop with this type of pizza. Its been awhile since I've been here. The brewing area is now closed off from the bar area. There is both seating inside and out. Dogs are still allowed but only in the outdoor area (state law) the problem is that if you have a dog, you can only order food or beer inside, so be sure you come with someone who can watch your dog or order for your. They should come up with a way to order food or drinks from outside, maybe an iPad to place orders outside and note your table number on your order. There were also canned or bottled beer for purchase in refrigerators if you wanted to take some home with you.

Ask the Community - Coronado Brewing

Does the Knoxville St. Location have close access to the Blue Line Trolley stop (Tecolate stop) ? Can it be approached via walking across Street from trolley stop?

Yes. It's right across the street.

Do you have to be 21 to eat here?

You do not, we are family friendly.

    Is this near Coronado beach?

No this location is not in Coronado but there is a second location on the Coronado island.

Do you have Wifi? Do you have any private rooms or ability to reserve a large table for 8? We want to do our fantasy football draft here.

Yes Wi-Fi, place was massive could easily find a table for 8. I'm not sure about reserving a private room but maybe.

When will your hours extend beyond 8pm closing?

We now close at 9, but the kitchen closes at 8, just an FYI.

Do you guys have the spectrum sports net (TWSN) channel as part of your television package? Trying to catch the Laker games.

Hello, we have Dish network, and a basic cable package. So if it’s on basic cable we can show it. But if it’s in a “Season pass” type of package, we do not. Hope this helps. Thanks. M

How much is it for the sampler of beers?

Good morning, you get 5 4oz tasters for $15, you get a card to fill out and choose your own beer adventure.

Did they finished their dog friendly patio yet?

Hello, yes the patio is finished and waiting for you to come enjoy a beer with your furry friend.

Does this establishment offer wifi to it's customers?

Hello, yes it does. Upon your arrival, the customer WiFi password will be given to you. Thank you, hope we see you soon. M

    Is this establishment dog friendly?

100% yes. This patio was built for dogs, kids, babies, sunning, tanning, day drinking, sun tanning, good times, bad times, you name it. Bring the dogs (and your leash), there are water bowls and wall mounted dog leash snap-ins to keep your doggo…

Hello! Am I allowed to bring outside food? I know there is a food menu but just thinking ahead for family members with food allergies but still want to partake with beer tastings! Thanks in advance! :)

Good afternoon, unfortunately we have our own kitchen, so outside food is not allowed. I apologize. Thanks, hope to see you soon. We will do our best to accommodate to the allergies. M

When are they going to finish the pet patio? We would like to bring our dog.

Good afternoon, to be completely honest I do not have a hard timeline of the patio. BUT, we did get the project approved last week and are making the steps towards breaking ground as soon a possible. Please feel free to email me for updates at…

With upstairs/downstairs seating, trivia on Thursday's, and being pup friendly, this place is a true gem. The food is affordable and delicious. Lots of vegetarian options for tacos, along with some sides like chips + guac. They have a great drink selection and one of my girlfriend's fave is some apricot bevvy that is just the perfect summer unwind drink! I have to give a special shoutout to Gavin for going above and beyond the last visit. I brought my dog and asked the gentleman at the front if they have unseasoned meat that I can give the pup. He said they had unseasoned chicken so I got a side. We went upstairs for seating and shortly after got our food. The chicken however, was definitely seasoned. Definitely not giving that to a dog. We checked back with the server upstairs (which was Gavin) who immediately told us that yes, it's definitely seasoned. Since I ordered food, I decided to try and finish my avocado taco (delish!), before going downstairs to sort things. In this time Gavin had gone out of his way to get some unseasoned carne asada and brought a healthy portion of it, remembered our table and brought it to us. My girlfriend spoke to him, I hadn't so for him to not only find us upstairs (no number) but he corrected the confusion/mistake. Needless to say, my dog was also very pleased! The vibes are casual. It is a touristy restaurant, so seating can get tricky, but we managed to find spots on the patio. You order at the bar counter, receive a table number, and then they bring the food to you. Chips and Guac (3/5): Plenty of guac, but a little flavorless and could use more limes or salt. Mahi Tostada (3.5/5): Fresh raw cuts of mahi were minced on top of a crispy thin tostada, but again, a little plain and could be accompanied with a lime or a light green sauce. Crispy Shrimp Taco (4/5): A heavy shrimp taco! I wasn't expecting the shrimp to be wrapped in what looked like an egg roll wrap. It was very crunchy and juicy. Although again, needed some sauce for the taco as they did not provide us any. Fish and Chips (3.5/5): Not as crispy as I would have liked, and the tartar sauce had a lot of tangy dill flavor, which was a little much for me. The fries that came with it were truffle flavored, which was a unique twist! I thought the food was quite average, but they did have more unique options I have not seen before! Come for the views during sunset, but I'd keep the food limited here and probably enjoy the drinks more.

The servers were attentive and checked in on us frequently. The food is typical American bar fare. Smash burgers and sandwiches were popular choices. I opted for the poke bowl, which was reasonably priced. However, I might go for the poke nachos next time. The poke bowl had a lot of onions, and the sauce was a bit teriyaki-like. My friends enjoyed the burgers, smash burgers, and French fries. The portion sizes were perfect for individual servings. They have a kid's menu on the kids' coloring page, and they provide crayons for the kids. I also tried their kombuchas, which are around ABV 6%. I tried the dragon fruit kombucha, which had an amazing pink-purple color and smelled like dragon fruit. It wasn't overly sweet and had low carbonation. I recommend asking the servers for recommendations to suit your taste. The indoor space is cooler and spacious, making it great for gatherings. There were many family and friend gatherings here. You can grab a drink and let the kids run around. I also appreciate that they accept reservations on OpenTable, which is perfect for planning large group gatherings. We were seated in a shaded area with plenty of space around us, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and unhurried--perfect for actually enjoying good food and conversation. A huge part of what made our visit so memorable was our server, Carina. She struck that rare balance of being genuinely warm and personable while also staying incredibly attentive. She was outgoing without being overwhelming, kind in a way that felt natural, and had a great sense of humor that made us feel instantly at ease. Carina was also very knowledgeable about the menu and offered helpful suggestions without any pressure. She checked in at just the right moments and made sure we had everything we needed, all while keeping the vibe light and fun. You can tell she really cares about creating a good experience, and it shows. For food, I ordered the smash burger with onions and lettuce served in a corn tortilla, along with a side of jicama. The burger itself was flavorful and satisfying, with flavorful juiciness you want from a smash burger. The onions added a nice savory depth, while the lettuce gave it a fresh crunch that balanced everything out. Serving it in a corn tortilla was a great twist--it made the whole dish feel a bit lighter while still being super filling, and added a subtle, warm corn flavor that tied everything together really well. The jicama on the side was crisp, refreshing, and slightly sweet--an ideal contrast to the richness of the burger. My friend went with a salad and an IPA, and both were a hit. The salad looked fresh and well put together, and they couldn't stop talking about how good it tasted. The IPA paired perfectly--cold, crisp, and exactly what you'd want alongside a light but flavorful meal. Overall, everything just worked--the food, the atmosphere, and especially the service. Carina really elevated the experience and made us feel taken care of in a way that's hard to come by. I'll definitely be back.
