Bay City is the go-to spot before I head over to Petco for the Padres game. The rooftop is a nice spot to enjoy good food and drinks with friends - the view isn't so bad either :)

My favorite part was the outdoor seating. Stunning. Lots of gatherings. Lots of peeps. Had fun with my hubby. Check them out! Sidenote the non-alc beer wasn't my FAV. I would go with a mocktail upstairs FYI. Enjoy! Thank ya!

Bay City Nachos - really enjoyed the rooftop!

My family likes stopping by here whenever we visit Gaslamp because it's dog-friendly with good service and delicious beers. We've always sat downstairs because of events upstairs but we finally got to check out the rooftop on our last visit which was nice because it's a big, open space. Their happy hour & daily specials seem like a good deal, especially on weekdays!

It's a shame 10-stars isn't an option! I wanted to come here because I love beer and I read it was kid-friendly and thought there was an outside fenced-in area, but I was mistaken. The bartender was totally cool and didn't seem bothered that we had a toddler. We sat out on the front patio since the rooftop was closed. Our expectations were meh but wow- the beer was phenomenal, and the bartender had great suggestions. We ordered a pizza since we knew our toddler would eat that- the pizza was pretty good! I wish I asked for the bartender's name because he was exceptional. My husband and I haven't had service like that in a long time. He served us at the table, which he didn't have to, made great beer suggestions and great conversation. We are so happy we went! While I wouldn't say it's "kid-friendly", you could bring yours if they stay at your table (it's small) and like the food they serve (no kid's menu).

Stopped by for a quick beer and loved several of their beers. The flavors are clean and crisp and yummy. Will was very helpful with descriptions and recommendations, and let us taste a few of their options. We wound up purchasing several 4-packs to take home and share with friends and family. The ambiance was relaxed and welcoming, and the service was great. We'll definitely be returning next time we're in San Diego.

Easily my favorite brewery during my San Diego trip. The people were cool, awesome staff- shout out to Will, and the beer was fantastic. There IPAs were spot on from Cold to Hazy. If you're looking at this review, don't skip out.

A Mexican Inspired Amber Lager from Bay City Brewing!

Indulged myself with some beer from Bay City Brewing! Steve and I had their Peninsula Lager which we liked very much! This was a fine Vienna style Lager which is perfect to enjoy during the summer due to it's light bodied nature and the aftertaste of clean and crispness within the flavor profile. Other flavor elements to find with this beer are maltiness and sweetness. The sweet aspect isn't anything too in your face which doesn't make the beer taste too sugary which is a good thing. It's more of a natural sweetness which makes it pleasing to the palette while sitting and unwinding out in the sunshine.

Be sure to check out their weekly specials. Our favorite nights are Tuesdays for $15 pizza and pint. This is an amazing deal as most pizzas are closer to $20 plus a beer! Wing night when wings are half off! How can you go wrong?? The nachos are delish as well as BLT sliders. When the rooftop is open go up there for some great views.

Had an enjoyable time at Bay City Brewery's Gaslamp location. There's a couple spots on the outside, some bar spots inside, and a lot on the roof. The inside is maybe slightly dark. The lower level is potentially minimal in appearance. The rooftop is much more inviting but doesn't have great views due to walls / buildings surrounding. The manager and workers were fun and had easy service. BAY CITY IPA - very good, tradition JUCCI GANG - hazy cuts the double COCO ONO - really fun, fruity. Don't know if I could drink a full pour myself. RON MURKUNDY Hazy IPA - smooth not much aftertaste PENINSULA LAGER Vienna Lager - not as dark as a Vienna octoberfest HIGHLY LIKELY Cold IPA 6.0% - one of the best cold ipas I've had SERPENTINE PINEAPPLE Cider - couldn't drink it. Not gre MURKY MUCHACHO IPA - somewhat wheaty /malty

Wandered in as was super close to our hotel and really enjoyed the beer and the vibe of the place. Brandon our server was super helpful and friendly. Just has a pretzel (warning they are super hot!) as a snack , but all the other food looked good.

We chose happy hour since they have such a great HH menu! Everything looked good on the regular menu as well, but we went with the HH food and kids' meals. We enjoyed two orders of the cauliflower, the cheese pizza, and the smash burger with fries--all of them were so well done! Our kids wanted the mac and cheese with fruit (which came with fresh blueberries and blackberries), and my one year old had that plus a side of snap peas and carrots. Both kids loved their food and even had enough left over for dinner the following day. We also tried the "Kiwi Be Friends" drink, which was delicious! Service was fantastic. Amelia was upbeat, attentive, and even checked in with us before happy hour ended to see if we wanted to order anything else. I was so grateful for the friendly reminder! I completely see why it's called a beer garden--it is beautiful. I loved the decor, the greenery, and the covered patio with turf, picnic tables, fans, and both table and ceiling heaters. The furniture and the bar... I loved it all! The designer really took their time and did a wonderful job planning it out. As a quick heads-up on the layout, the bathrooms are gender-neutral. It's an open room with about six private stalls and shared sinks, featuring red/green indicators near the doorknobs to tell you if a stall is occupied or vacant. I am for sure coming back for the regular menu soon!

It was such a comfortable atmosphere for networking. The staff was incredibly friendly and didn't feel judging at all which you can get when you go to a place that sells crafty beers. Such a warm and inviting atmosphere both inside and outside. And in talking to the staff, you discover that they are happy to be working there as they are well treated. Well, I'm not really a beer drinker an IPA was recommended to me which I thoroughly enjoyed. The gentleman behind the bar took the time despite how busy they were, to get to know my taste to match a beer to me. So not only was the event good but I wouldn't hesitate to have an event here or meet with business colleagues in the future. Also a great place for a date. Yeah it's just a good place overall. Maybe next time I'd venture to try some of the food. The only challenge I have on the way I understand isn't typically a challenge was finding parking.
