    Spring strawberries

I really loved this farmers market. It has everything you need for produce to get you thru the week. The options are limited which is totally fine, every stand has a specialty and they do it really well. Beautiful spring strawberries and great oranges. I personally feel the produce was well priced for the quality, and the convenience, parking, and no crowds make it a go-to for me.

Tiny little farmers market near the ferry landing in Coronado. Vendors are nice but there aren't enough of them! I bought some delicious almonds in assorted flavors and the almond guy said I can order them online. Produce looks good but as I said before, not enough vendors for a beautiful space like this!!

    Location of FM

I'd like to go today. It's small and not much local stuff this time of year. Location is prime though. Might have just picked wrong last time.

This is maybe the smallest farmers market I've ever been to. I know, I know...size shouldn't matter, but when it comes to farmers markets, it does. I like having options and looking, touching, smelling and tasting everything. There were probably only 7 or 8 vendors total with 2 or 3 of them selling very similar goods (i.e. 3 different booths selling corn, and 3 selling flowers). Having said that, the vendors were nice and the quality of produce was good. The location is a plus. It's on the east side of the Old Ferry Shopping Center parking lot so it's a nice area to take a walk along the water or through the boutique shops before or after your quick jaunt through the farmers market.

Not a farmers market, a small circle of 6 stands in a place that charges for you to park. Waste of an afternoon

It's not like the Hillcrest market, where one goes to see and be seen (I love it too!) and that's just fine with me.

Wow!! Now THIS is a top-notch Farmers Market (and I consider myself to be a Farmers Market…read moreconnoisseur). If you can get over the fact that parking is a nightmare (tip: get there early and use the free parking lot at the DMV) you'll love every second of your time here. We got there around 9:30am and were lucky enough to snag a spot at the aforementioned lot - about a 5 minute walk from the start of the market. From there, we took about 2 hours to fully explore, including a quick stop at a cute and affordably-priced vintage stop right off the vendors' booths. There is a huge variety of goods, mostly consumables with a few jewelry and handmade goods worked in. The vast majority of consumables booths had samples. I tried balsamic vinegars, loads of dips, some fresh fruit and tomatoes, bread, tempeh, you name it. I wasn't even hungry for lunch after going! If you aren't keen on samples, there are lots of prepared food booths for a full meal. Prices are reasonable. I bought a delicious Mediterranean 3 layer dip for $6 and my brother got a massive focaccia loaf for $10. The vendors were very friendly and helpful. Many (most?) also had business cards with shipping info if you're like me and have a full suitcase already. I would consider this market a must-visit if you find yourself in San Diego on a Sunday. Loved it!

[Parking]: Difficult parking situation, but I got really lucky and found a street parking spot near the intersection of Cleveland Ave and Richmond St at 9 AM. Apparently visitors can park for free at the DMV parking lot (3960 Normal St), but the lot fills up quickly so come early. According to the website, visitors can also park at the United States Postal Service parking lot at 3911 Cleveland Ave. [Amenities & vendors]: The farmers market does not accept EBT. The market takes up about three large blocks and visitors can find produce, gifts, arts and crafts, flowers, clothing, etc. Not many fruit stands offer samples, but other non-fruit food vendors do provide free samples. The market also has a solid food court including one vendor selling coconut pancakes (Coconut & Co. Thai Fusion). The coconut pancakes (aka khanom krok - $4 for 8 pieces) reminded me of the sticky rice from mango sticky rice and these pancakes were actually quite good. [Conclusion]: Our party only ended up staying for 30 minutes, but overall this is a great farmers market for anyone who's looking for solid one-stop food options and not necessarily looking for a produce-focused farmers market.

This year most of the vendors stayed away. We decided to get crepes from a place called La Creperie because it was one of the only choices. The man was extremely nice. But I was surprised to see that he was using a blow torch on the crepes instead of sautéing things first. My savory crêpe with eggs cheese and mushrooms was essentially like a quesadilla and the mushrooms weren't really cooked. Did it eat very much of it because it was not that savory. The dessert crepe we got was a little better. But I would not come to this booth again. Looking forward to coming another time when there are more of the vendors I like here!

We loved the live music as well. Very enjoyable. Saw kids and dogs enjoying themselves, which is always such a great vibe! Our favorite place was "El Reaper Hot Chicken"! My pre-teen had the hot Cheetos fried chicken over fries. She absolutely loved it. Her Dad is a professional Chef, so she knows good food. I had the ghost pepper chicken, and be warned that it is HOT!!! Their chicken itself is so well seasoned and juicy. Almost all places don't season their fried chicken enough. It was nice to have something incredibly tasty for a change! The word needs to get out there, because this place could be such a hot spot to hang out at on weekends! Highly recommend checking it out!!!

I was incredibly impressed by the various businesses that popped up here to make this market, especially the prepared food foods, and food trucks. Almost everything was represented and seemingly done really well, but I caught my eye had to be the Hawaiian specialties and the grilled skewers. Unfortunately, I had just eaten and wasn't in the mood for a bite, but I was totally tempted to try it anyways. There was a nice little selection of produce, but I also love seeing all of the local makers and packaged goods that work for sale. I ended up enjoying the chili, crisp and other chili based condiment that were made by a local lady and I also really love the San Diego Pepper Company, and purchase their hot sauce to take home as well. Point Loma in San Diego you are super lucky to have this little market in your community and you can't beat the location next to liberty market and all the great food and drink and shopping to be had there. I made almost an entire day out of wandering around this whole area and it was the farmers market got it all started.
