A typical brewery with an outdoor style restaurant. Wished they actually closed off the restaurant to the outdoors as there were some flies and AC would have been nice. But overall good experience. Love that they sell merch even for dogs. Tried a bunch of their beers that I enjoyed. Food was decent, but not the most memorable. I guess what you might expect from a brewery. Great service even though my family just did a walk in for a late night dinner. Again, just wish the restaurant was actually closed off, especially during summer. Im sure during the cooler months, it will feel great to have the fresh air. But overall, will certainly be back. Mainly for the beers
Food was good and plenty of it. Wide variety of beer in tap and drink selection. Portions were good sized. The pretzel was delicious with tons of dipping sauce provided. My grilled fish tacos were very tasty and flavorful. The pizza was great. We didn't feel rushed and we were very well taken care of and checked on by our server. She was fast at refills and very friendly. Overall a great experience while visiting Coronado Island.
Great place for a drink and bite to eat. Great atmosphere. After a long day of walking around and seeing the sights we stopped in for a beer and appetizer. The bartender was super friendly and nice. She made everything awesome for us. Have us samples and attended to our refills! Thank you.
Coronado Brewing Company is a MUST on your list of places to visit if you find yourself on Coronado Island. The location is walking distance from the Naval Air Station and if you decide to drive there is a lot of free parking in the streets behind it. I always try to make a stop in while I visit and their beer never disappoints! The bar staff is extremely friendly and they make a lot of great suggestions. I normally just come for their beer but the food looks great too! They sell merchandise and enjoying a pint at their bar never disappoints!
Ambiance was very inviting. They have television screens throughout the. Loved the open aired seating. The bathrooms were very clean. Food was great. Their service was on point. I liked that their prices were reasonable.
I am completely appalled at the take out on arrival. The pictures speak for themselves. I ordered a bbq burger, cheese on the side, with coleslaw as a side. On arrival, opened container and what do you know? No side; bbq burger tiny! This is not a $20 dollar meal! I am disgusted at this epic failure. Never again.
Went here on a Saturday afternoon. Parking is tough, we got lucky to find parking in the back. The food is good for it being a brewpub. The service was good as well. The brewpub and the gift shop was quaint. Overall I would definitely come back the beer was definitely really good.
One of my longtime buddies invited me to join him and several of our other lifelong friends to eat dinner, hang out, and watch our Padres at Coronado Brewing Company, which he had been wanting to check out. This was my first time dining at Coronado Brewing and besides having a blast with my buddies, my son and nephew joined us for blessed quality family time. My buddies are into breweries and drinking flights of the breweries' craft beer, so I know why my best friend of more than 5 decades chose this restaurant. I enjoyed my first time here because of the yummy food, having an excuse to visit Coronado, and our young Asian waitress Drea provided friendly and outstanding customer service. Coronado Brewing is located in beautiful, coastal Coronado, CA. It can be found on the far north end of Orange Avenue. The easiest way to get there would be to take the Coronado Bay Bridge or you can drive the Silver Strand. The restaurant is a short walk from Nicky Rottens, several steps from Saiko Sushi, it's just down from Coronado Hardware and Fire Station Venue, it's across from the Coronado Southern Baptist Church, and it's directly across from a market. Parking could be challenging because it's street parking, but Coronado is a safe neighborhood, so a short walk shouldn't be a problem. It's a popular eatery, which means you might have to wait to be seated. As you enter Coronado Brewing, you'll see how spacious it is with booth seating, bartop seating, and tabletop seating. There are framed pics of florals, booths decorated with coastal fauna, decorative lighting, ceiling fans, and a brick fire pit. I didn't think there were enough televisions to cheer on our Padres. Our waitress Drea was stellar, she had a vibrant personality, and she provided notable customer service. Unlike my buddies, I couldn't tell you the difference between craft beer or store bought beer, but my pals are craft beer aficionados. I can tell that my buddies really enjoyed the flights of craft beer they ordered from Coronado Brewing. If you're like my buddies, then I recommend you try out this restaurant. I joined my friends to catch up with them, support our Padres, bond with my family, and to try Coronado Brewing's food. Looking at their menu, pricing is reasonable and they serve the following: Pub Favorites, Tacos, Burgers & Sandwiches, Salads, Wood-Fired Pizzas, Main Courses, and Desserts. I had eaten a filling lunch, so I wasn't too hungry, but I did share a Nachos Borrachos, Fish & Chips, Meat Lover's Pizza, MooTime Ice Cream Cake, and a Brownie Sundae. The nachos borrachos were satisfying with its carnitas pulled pork over fresh tortilla chips, finger licking delish with its jalapeño beer-cheese, and just a tasty starter. I shared the fish and chips with my son, which had a tasty batter and I enjoyed the accompanying garlic fries. The meat lover's pizza had a good amount of protein, but I thought the crust could have been more firm. The ice cream cake and brownie sundae are must orders because they were decadent, there was an abundant amount of chocolate, and they were rich in flavor. I had a blessed time experiencing Coronado Brewing Company for the first time with some of my closest friends and my family. I really enjoyed what I ate, but I definitely need to experience their other entrees the next time we visit.
Stopped by late Saturday afternoon with a party of six. There was about a 25-30 minute wait, which wasn't bad for the weekend. Once inside, the space is large and open with plenty of seating. Our server, David, was friendly, attentive, and did a great job keeping everything running smoothly. The food was very good and came out quickly after we ordered. The location is a big highlight--just steps from Coronado Beach and super close to the ferry, making it an easy and convenient spot to grab food and drinks. Overall, a great experience with good food, solid service, and an unbeatable location
This is one of my go-to spots when ever I'm in San Diego! The dos is always on point and the beer is always delicious! Don't be afraid to venture out and try new things here. You can't go wrong with anything here.
My husband and I went on a Tuesday afternoon and sat on the patio outside with our dogs. We love visiting this casual brewery whenever we take a trip to San Diego. The drinks, food, and service is all top notch! Gavin was our waiter and was very friendly and personable. The restaurant is very clean. We ordered the crispy fish tacos and bbq pulled pork sandwich. The portion sizes are good. You can also purchase a six pack of beer to go.
I already came here twice. First time, I got the fish and chips. Second time, I had their pub burger. The fish was just okay. It was dry and not fresh and tastes like something they probably get from their distributor. The fries had a seasoning mix I liked, but the texture was mediocre. On the other hand, I thought the burger was really good, so that's what I should've ordered the first time instead of listening to their 20% off recommendation. The bun was thick and hearty, with a very slightly crisp to it. The meat had great flavor, and the veggies were nice as well. Overall, somewhat better than the burger I had at Nicky Rottens. The vibes here were also better, and this is taking into account that I tend to like quiet places. Nicky Rottens is clearly losing business to this joint, so I should prefer the ambience there. But in addition to simply being quieter, something about the open seating and lighting makes it feel disconcerting rather than relaxing. Look at me reviewing a different restaurant in the review of one restaurant. Lol
Whenever we vacation in San Diego, we always hit Coronado and the brewing company. We usually don't have any trouble parking and you can dine al fresco, but outdoor seating is limited! We managed to get there for happy hour, so the beers were good and cheap.
We came here on a busy Sunday. The energy was chaotic and getting a table took a long time. We were quoted 30 min, but it took over 40 min to get our table. The waiting area was nonexistent which made things even more chaotic. They had wonderful beers. The highlight was the pretzel - an absolute must!! The dips were amazing. When on Coronado Island, visiting their brewery is a must. I came by on Tuesday afternoon, and it was busy inside. I waited to be seated and was assisted right away. I ordered one of their beers on tap: Orange Avenue Wheat Ale brewed with orange and honey 5.2%. This is one of their iconic popular beers and an award-winning brew. Stays as a classic in their books. I highly recommend this beer if you are indecisive of what to order from. 5/5 To eat I decided to order an appetizer: Islander Ahi Poke (Ahi tuna in a poke marinade with cucumber & avocado over seaweed slaw. Finished with wasabi aioli, sesame seeds & micro greens) Served with wonton crisps Very unique way to enjoy poke sitting over seaweed slaw. But it is refreshing and flavorful overall. Paired up well with my Orange Avenue Beer. This location offers indoor seating as well as some outdoor seating. A bar with TV displays that include fans watching the Padres play on the screen. Atmosphere was very lively and groups were there to hang out and have a good time. read more

Some things are forever, like the Monday Evening Adobada Tacos Special Happy on the Stella-Friendly patio. Neighbors pass by on their way to Boney's or walk home from the vet. Simple food, classic suds, catching the familiar easy hometown vibe. Happy. read more
So many beer choices and they were all very good. Our favorite was the orange wit. Sat at the bar and had quite a few beers and shared a cheese pizza. The pizza was really good too. Service was slow but she had a lot to do and very little help so she did her best. read more

Located in a nice area and the structure itself is beautiful. Good amount of seating inside and the staff is very friendly. I ordered a crisp cider, which was great, and the nachos borrachos, which was okay. The spinach artichoke dip my mom ordered was really good, though! The street tacos were also okay, not a fan of the flour tortillas and the fish tacos were super fishy tasting. I know they're fish tacos, but normally they don't taste super fishy. Also not as crisp as we would've liked them. What was pretty good was the meat lovers pizza. Suuuuper cheesy and awesome cheese pull. read more
This review is just regarding the bar and the drinks. I did not try any of the food. The bar can be a lively atmosphere with strangers talking to one another and the service is excellent. Their beers, ciders, and seltzers can be mixed and matched which was interesting. So there is something for everyone. I liked the fruity cedar and the orange seltzer. read more

Been to this place a number of times but haven't written up a review until now. We were celebrating the retirement of the LT and promotion of a coworker. Our group of at least 15 people were seated immediately and the service was friendly and patient (especially with the large group we had). Festivities started and we placed our orders. I had the Islander Ahi Poke (ahi Tuna, poke marinade, with cucumber and avocado over seaweed slaw with Wasabi aioli, micro greens and wonton crisps). Washed down with a Cool Beans Coffee Stout. I'm honestly very surprised at this restaurant! The food is really good! The drinks are very yummy and they have a little bit of everything if you're into sweet drinks or more bitter, you will be able to find something on the menu. The place is really big and spacious. It gets very very hot in there though so if you run hot make sure to bring layers. The service was really good! read more

We had a nice time at this brewery last night. Can't believe we forgot to take a photo of the beer flight we had, but we had the following: Razzle Dazzle, Weekend Vibes, Nado and the Nado Dark. All we recommend. The Razzle Dazzle was a raspberry sour, but it wasn't overly harsh (not too sour). Highly recommend. Our server was great, the food came out quick. We shared the Nachos Borrachos which had carnitas and this amazing jalapeño beer cheese! It was divine!! It was topped with sliced pickled vegetables! So damn good!! read more

Walked in at 11am to a pretty good size amount of staff and patrons. Bar was full. We were sat immediately by a smiling woman. Our waitress was quick to get our beer order, weekend vibes and salty crew blonde. Food is Grilled fish tacos and Fried fish tacos with side salad and tots. Both were delicious, beer is good as well . The location is right on the strip with plenty of seating. read more

This was a treat! Sat at the bar midday Wed and enjoyed 3 beers: Aloha Warrior IPA, Pacific Chill Pils and Scenic Route black IPA. Great draft beers drank onsite. Had a 12" pepperoni pizza as well, pretty good. Good local crowd had lively conversations on an 83° February day. read more

This place feels more fun each time I visit! I like to go early in the day when there is no wait for tables. The staff is outstanding and the menu is really pretty great. This time I shared nachos & french fries with my friend. We sampled some of the beer options and challenged each other to learn more about hoppy taste in different IPA's. Last time we enjoyed cheeseburgers and fries, and that was so good I wanted to come back again! Looking forward to my next visit. Will be enjoying my souvenir glass at home! read more

When I was there, limited in back by parking lot...maybe 2-3 small tables.

We have in the past, but currently we do not. However, our location in Imperial Beach serves breakfast Saturday & Sunday from 8-11:30am every week

Is it OK if I come straight from the beach in a bathing suit and coverup?
I would yes, as long as you aren't sandy.. it's a casual place, my GF and I came during a bike ride, sweaty and needing a beer and weren't turned away..
Is this location dog friendly?
No, it's basically a restaurant with an attached bar
Is there a patio? Dog friendly?
Went today thinking they were pet friendly and they are not! If you are ok eating in the patio area and your dog on the outside of the gate your ok...It was too warm and in the sun for our dog so we left.
