Painting is such a fun activity to have for any kind of event and I highly recommend hiring Corporate to Canvas. I'm an event planner and Kimball is every planner's perfect vendor to work with. She's professional, super responsive, friendly and my guests loved her and regardless of skill level, each painter had a great time with her lead! Also worth noting, my client wanted a wine and painting activity for her husband's birthday party and she accommodated us even though we weren't a corporate event.

Our work team building activity was a huge hit thanks to Kimball at Corporate to Canvas! She responded quickly to my question and asked about the background of the team and made suggestions for us. Ultimately we went with painting pet portraits which was a HUGE hit with everyone! I highly recommend Kimball, she is truly talented, kind, and takes pride in what she delivers to her customers. Amazing experience!

    Kimball's gorgeous custom design.

I heard about Kimball from my boyfriend who had done a fun team bonding paint day at work with her. I'd been struggling to think of ways to raise money for my Make-a-Wish Trailblaze Challenge fundraiser so when he noticed she does fundraisers he gave her my info. Kimball reached out to me (which was pretty awesome already, I'm sure I would've procrastinated otherwise) and we talked about what I was looking for and where I'd like to do the event. Kimball is organized and easy to work with. She made event planning a breeze! She even offered to look into venues for me. Kimball offered to do a custom painting to match our hiking theme, and we settled on a mountain sunset. She came up with a gorgeous painting lesson based on a photo I'd sent her, and somehow managed to teach it in steps we could follow! She was all set up by the time I arrived at the venue, and has her whole set up and tear down process perfected so we didn't need to do a thing. Kimball is a fun and relaxed teacher and she came around to offer advice as we painted. She even helped me finish up part of my painting when I had to step aside to announce winners for my raffle! I highly recommend going to Kimball for your fundraiser. The way she has blended her past work experience to create this company is so inspirational, and she truly excels in her profession! Thanks for everything, Kimball!

Kimball is the best combination of professionalism and creativity, perfect for a corporate event. She loves creating and sharing art with people, and she makes it easy and approachable in a corporate setting. She went above and beyond for our member event, working jointly with us to design a unique event tailored to our group's specific needs, and gathering and preparing custom paint colors for each participant. Throughout the planning process, the event, and in the following days, Kimball was great at staying in touch, sending details and needed documents, and even sharing photos from the event. We highly recommend Corporate to Canvas!

    Rumi loves it too!

I LOVED the Paint With Me Online Class. I'm not an artist at all, but Kimball Willson helped me move out of my comfort zone and have a lot of laughs along the way. I highly recommend her classes. My puppy, Rumi, loved it, too!

Pottery Painting at The Hot Spot in Liberty Station…read more We took our team of 15 to do pottery painting and it pains me to say that for groups, it was a bit of a let down. I've been here before with a friend and I'd say this location/company does better with smaller groups and not larger groups. I pre-booked our reservation and when we arrived, they had our large table with the paper on it with most things needed except paper towels. The seats felt really close together even with fitting all 15 of us so some had to sit on other tables since it's pretty crammed. For groups over 6 (I believe it was), they charge a 15% service charge and I completely understand and am happy to pay it if a decent experience is provided but it was basically self-service so I'm wondering what should have been included. The employee introduced herself who was "assigned to us" and handed out the cards to put paint on and added our pottery selections to her notepad. That was the extent of her help. I ended up going around to our table asking if anyone needed paper towels (since they weren't provided) or more paint. If our table was a small group, I could see that not being necessary but we were a large group who was paying a premium. The employee didn't come back to check on us as it got close to finishing. I went up to get ready to check out and find out where everyone needs to bring over their pottery and the employee remembered that people should write their initials with a special pencil. It was a bit disorganized and I had higher expectations with what we were paying. Is the service fee just for the extra paper on the tables because the other groups/individuals who didn't "get someone assigned to them" got the same level of service our group did. Our reservation was in the early afternoon and with this July heat, it did get hot. The shop had doors and windows open but 1 small fan in the corner of the room that didn't make much of an impact. I'd suggest more fans because this place makes great margins for what they offer. Overall, I wouldn't suggest this place for a group activity over 6 people. The service isn't worth it for the service fee. You're better off to have the group go in as individuals unfortunately.

The teacher/host was friendly, had good painting tips and guidance, and was very enthusiastic with his work. And dang it, painting is hard! This time it was Starry Night in San Diego. But I went off on a tangent and added a AT-AT, Death Star, Klingon Bird of Prey, a USS Enterprise, Star Destroyer, a Borg Cube, and an Ion Cannon, but no one seems to see that, doh! Unlike the 1st Grade, the teacher did not scold me or give me a "F" for not following instructions. IRONY: We paid $30, but it does not include wine, you still have to buy wine(or whatever) at the venue. Luckily it was still Happy Hour, so I got a beer for only $4. I might have subtracted a star it if it was more expensive, but since they call themselves "Wine and Paint" they should at least include a crappy plastic cup of Charles Shaw or Tisdale. Right? I still had a great time, so I'm going to let that slide... Note: I'm not a single guy, but if you are, this good place to meet girls...the class comprised of about 25 girls, me, and a very bored looking guy dragged here by girlfriend.
