Solid spot for Thai!…read more Everything was great -- textures and flavors on point. Loved that they had a selection of crispy pork belly dishes. Got the #48 (crispy pork belly with Chinese broccoli). It was tasty as take-out and I'm sure it's even better on the spot. Chinese broccoli was cooked perfectly. Also tried the crispy wings which were yummy as well. Finally, my husband's Pad Thai was excellent (perfectly flavored, with nicely crisped tofu). Noticed a lot of vegetarian options here, if that's your thing. Definitely recommend!

My husband and I come here whenever we can because he loves the pad Thai. I like the Tom Kha soup,…read morebut everything I've tried so far has been good. The food comes with some hot pepper powder, pickled jalapeños, and sambal sauce on the side if you ask for hot sauce. If you have a higher spice tolerance, you can ask for fresh Thai chili on the side instead! Our usual order is usually the pad Thai and garlic crispy pork with cilantro sauce! The crispy pork is crispy, but also soft once you hit the meat. It is a good choice for those who don't like only crispy skin, or only meat. It's the best of both worlds. The pad Thai is nicely moist without being too soggy. It's sticky at most. Once you mix it with the bean sprouts, it comes out perfect. I also recommend their Thai tea! I get one every time and it isn't overly creamy. The music is pretty loud if there aren't a lot of people in the restaurant, but it's not too bad. The service is always amazing since I believe the owners are always at the restaurant.

The restaurant is well situated, clean and not overly noisy. This is one restaurant I hope to visit for years to come. Thank you Thai Spoon!!! Tried DA's Thai Cuisine for pickup and had a little bit of a mixed experience…read more First things first -- the place itself is nice, clean, and the staff is personable. No complaints there. Ordering and pickup were smooth. Now let's talk food. The deep-fried egg rolls (stuffed with carrots, cabbage, and clear bean noodles, served with sweet and sour sauce) were really good. Crispy, hot, and flavorful. Solid start. The steamed dumplings? Now those were the star of the show. Made with pork, shrimp, crab meat, green onions, and carrots -- and served with their special sauce. That sauce paired perfectly with the dumplings. Balanced, flavorful, and just worked. Out of everything we ordered, this was the clear home run. I also ordered what I believed to be the Thai papaya salad. From what I can tell comparing ingredients, I did receive the Thai-style version (shredded papaya, garlic, fish sauce, tomatoes, lime juice, palm sugar, topped with peanuts). Unfortunately, I was not impressed. I've had papaya salad at other Thai spots where the peanuts are roasted and really incorporated into the dish. Here, it felt like the peanuts were just tossed in at the end. The overall flavor just didn't come together, and I wouldn't order that again. My husband had the Thai fried rice (his second time ordering it), and he thoroughly enjoys it -- so that's a win on his side. For me, out of the egg rolls, papaya salad, and steamed dumplings -- the dumplings were the only real standout. Would I go back? Probably not. But that's just my experience -- don't let me be the deciding factor. Give it a try and see what hits for you.

After having a bad experience a couple months ago at Sorn Thai down the street (read my review) we…read moredecided to check out JaiWai. We had walked past it a few times in the past and had been wanting to try it out. The restaurant is small and non-assuming, but don't let that fool you. We opted for lunch with a couple friends and were not disappointed. Our server Mack greeted us as we arrived and quickly got us seated with menus and waters. I had heard that the Kao Soi was supposed to be really good, so I opted for that. My wife had her usual Pad Thai with chicken, our friends had Pad Krapow with pork and chicken Basil Fried Rice. Living in Thailand for 6 years as a kid, I pretty much know good Thai food, and I can tell you that all 4 dishes hit the mark. I tried tastes from all 4 dishes. The Pad Thai was served with crushed peanuts and a big slice of lime and was very flavorful, had the right amount of sauce, but probably could have used just a tad less sugar and a few more pieces of meat. The Basil Fried Rice was delicious. It had that "wok-fired" street food taste and was served with some sliced cucumber and a slice of lime. The only thing I would change is to leave the broccoli out. You don't typically see that in Thailand. The Pad Krapow had a spot-on taste associated with good Pad Krapow and did not disappoint. The only suggestion is to be sure and order it with a fried egg to make it more authentic. Last but certainly not least was my Kao Soi. Only recently becoming more popular here in the US, it is an egg noodle curry soup dish that originates from northern Thailand. I have had Kao Soi in restaurants in Chiang Mai, and I can tell you that JaiWai hit every mark with this one! Most impressive was the plate of condiments. It included a lime wedge for a little acidity to help brighten the flavor of the broth, chopped shallots for some freshness, and pickled mustard greens that really make a difference! They are tart and crunchy and help counter the richness of the broth, a component that's very important in Thai cuisine. And lastly, fried chili flakes. This is optional for those who want to add some heat to their bowl, but for me it is mandatory. I like my Thai food hot and spicy. The only suggestion I have for the Kao Soi is maybe top it with slightly less fried noodles. They were welcome, but just a tad difficult to mix them into the soup because of the amount. Mack did an amazing job serving us. He was very friendly and took the time to confirm our orders. So I highly recommend JaiWai and we will be making it our go to Thai place in Georgetown. Do yourself a favor and give them a try! Ambiance - 9/10 Service - 10/10 Food - 10/10 Overall - 10/10

We had the yellow curry with tofu, pad Thai with tofu, and the papaya salad -- all were delicious. One thing worth mentioning: we ordered spice level 1 out of 5, and it still had a solid kick. Definitely enough heat to keep you reaching for the next bite without being overwhelming. They also brought out complimentary egg rolls and wontons as appetizers, which was a nice surprise and a great way to start the meal. The restaurant itself is very casual with a simple, no-frills atmosphere that seems mainly focused on to-go orders rather than dine-in ambiance. That said, the food and friendly service were definitely the stars of the experience. Overall, really enjoyable dinner and I'm looking forward to coming back.

The inside was vey inviting and tastefully decorated. We had the Beef Bulgogi Bao, this was really yummy. The bao was soft and delightful. The beef had a sweet bulgogi glaze that worked really well with it. The rest of the toppings added a nice balance without overpowering the meat. My only wish was that it was 4 baos and not two since they are so small. The highlight was the Firecracker Shrimp. Be warned this is not a spicy dish like you might think from the name. The crispy shrimp was crunchy and not soggy at all, it felt pretty clean and not greasy. It came with salad, rice and a spicy soy sauce and it was just so good. With 12 shrimp, it's definitely shareable between 2 people. Lastly we had the Vietnamese iced coffee which was $6. It tasted like Ovaltine and was mostly ice with just a few sips. I wouldn't recommend it unless the cup size is increased or the price is decreased. So overall, it's a bit pricey. The menu was also a little confusing. We checked online prior to coming and they had a lot of stuff but when at the restaurant, there were only a few items listed which caught us off guard. We actually ended up ordering the wrong item (firecracker shrimp when we actually wanted dynamite shrimp, ultimately it worked out cuz it was delicious but the problem still stands). So those are the only cons I can think off. Other than that, The place was fantastic. Did not think Hutto would have a place of this caliber. We will be back to try the rest of the items, it all looked so good. Definitely will be a repeat customer. 4.5 stars rounded up for now.
