We ordered the egg roll special they had along with combo meat with broccoli and General Tsao.It was still warm when I got home (definitely a nice plus). Good flavor and good amount of veggies. My daughter got the beef yellow curry and said it was the best curry she has ever had. I agree it was delicious, but too spicy for this gringo to have more than a couple of bites. I had the fried rice with shrimp, duck, and pork. It was delicious. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. We live 30 mins away, but would definitely make the drive to come back here. read more

Food is edible but not great. It is extremely inconsistent. Portions are small relative to the cost. Horrible customer service. If you are still eating at 2:01 when the are ready to close, they will tell you to box it up and get the rest to go. I originally posted this as a Google review. Their response was even more disappointing! My experience LITERALLY HAPPENED! To make matters worse, they blatantly lied in their response. Absolutely no attempt to make things right. They are arrogant in their approach to business because of the size of the market that they are in. I have never seen a business respond with a total lie! I am literally shocked by the lack of integrity! read more

I had the Thai Chicken and my wife the Brown Sauce with chicken. The veggies were super fresh and prepared just right. Portions were large and we ended up boxing and taking home our leftovers! a small nice space inside. got my food out fairly quickly, within 20 minutes (i ordered online and picked up). woman at the front was kind. personally tho.. the food didn't have much flavor. i got the sesame chicken with fried rice (chicken was where i was expecting more flavor but did not get.. rice was good, but it's just rice lol). i expected good flavors based on the reviews . but maybe it's just me ‍. however, won't be coming back nor recommend but again - that's my personal opinion! read more

They need to learn about service. We got to the door and held it open for two young girls and a father. They ask him first how many people. He said 7 and they were not there. They proceeded to push tables together and then ask us we stated 2. They then told us they did not have a table. Two issues, if you are at the door before another customer you should be served first. Second, if the entire party is not there it is bad form to tell the party that shows up to wait an extended period of time. As well it appeared they had family sitting at a table just talking. They could have sat in the lobby area to open that table. We will let people know the service is lowest in Taylor. Poor form folks. read more

The crispy pork is crispy, but also soft once you hit the meat. It is a good choice for those who don't like only crispy skin, or only meat. It's the best of both worlds. The pad Thai is nicely moist without being too soggy. It's sticky at most. Once you mix it with the bean sprouts, it comes out perfect. I also recommend their Thai tea! I get one every time and it isn't overly creamy. The music is pretty loud if there aren't a lot of people in the restaurant, but it's not too bad. The service is always amazing since I believe the owners are always at the restaurant.

We had walked past it a few times in the past and had been wanting to try it out. The restaurant is small and non-assuming, but don't let that fool you. We opted for lunch with a couple friends and were not disappointed. Our server Mack greeted us as we arrived and quickly got us seated with menus and waters. I had heard that the Kao Soi was supposed to be really good, so I opted for that. My wife had her usual Pad Thai with chicken, our friends had Pad Krapow with pork and chicken Basil Fried Rice. Living in Thailand for 6 years as a kid, I pretty much know good Thai food, and I can tell you that all 4 dishes hit the mark. I tried tastes from all 4 dishes. The Pad Thai was served with crushed peanuts and a big slice of lime and was very flavorful, had the right amount of sauce, but probably could have used just a tad less sugar and a few more pieces of meat. The Basil Fried Rice was delicious. It had that "wok-fired" street food taste and was served with some sliced cucumber and a slice of lime. The only thing I would change is to leave the broccoli out. You don't typically see that in Thailand. The Pad Krapow had a spot-on taste associated with good Pad Krapow and did not disappoint. The only suggestion is to be sure and order it with a fried egg to make it more authentic. Last but certainly not least was my Kao Soi. Only recently becoming more popular here in the US, it is an egg noodle curry soup dish that originates from northern Thailand. I have had Kao Soi in restaurants in Chiang Mai, and I can tell you that JaiWai hit every mark with this one! Most impressive was the plate of condiments. It included a lime wedge for a little acidity to help brighten the flavor of the broth, chopped shallots for some freshness, and pickled mustard greens that really make a difference! They are tart and crunchy and help counter the richness of the broth, a component that's very important in Thai cuisine. And lastly, fried chili flakes. This is optional for those who want to add some heat to their bowl, but for me it is mandatory. I like my Thai food hot and spicy. The only suggestion I have for the Kao Soi is maybe top it with slightly less fried noodles. They were welcome, but just a tad difficult to mix them into the soup because of the amount. Mack did an amazing job serving us. He was very friendly and took the time to confirm our orders. So I highly recommend JaiWai and we will be making it our go to Thai place in Georgetown. I wouldn't recommend it unless the cup size is increased or the price is decreased. So overall, it's a bit pricey. The menu was also a little confusing. We checked online prior to coming and they had a lot of stuff but when at the restaurant, there were only a few items listed which caught us off guard. We actually ended up ordering the wrong item (firecracker shrimp when we actually wanted dynamite shrimp, ultimately it worked out cuz it was delicious but the problem still stands). So those are the only cons I can think off. Other than that, The place was fantastic. Did not think Hutto would have a place of this caliber. It was nice and crispy-I just wasn't in the mood for it) it was easy to remove, and the steak itself was cooked properly, there was cream gravy to go over it, and I ate it with my canned Mushrooms on the side. My Baked Potato was on the small side, but it was delicious and all the logical condiments like shredded cheese, sour cream, & butter were all included (in little cups) so I could use what and how much of those I wanted. It also came with a slice of Texas Toast and a Side Salad, which was freshly chopped lettuce with bacon, and croutons, and had the blue cheese dressing I had ordered on the side. Even without the breading on the meat, I was full before I ever made it to the Texas toast. I focused on the chicken fried steak, the gravy and the baked potato. It was all very good. Not sure why, but I didn't care for the mushrooms too much , I knew they would be canned, but they had a little bit of a tinny flavor so I ate a couple of those, but then left the rest. The blue cheese dressing was great, not sure if it was homemade, but there were small chunks of blue cheese evident, which I appreciated. Because I had filled up on my steak and potato I only ate about a third of the salad. The only thing I missed was the woman who was our server last time I went with my grandsons -as she was very pleasant and nice to talk to! I'm very grateful they were open on the Fourth of July weekend and even more grateful that Toast was able to deliver it to me out at my son's house-which I consider to be in the boonies -but then a lot of Taylor /Coupland area is! Looks like this is going to be my go to place if I need some good home cooking out that way!! If you haven't been it's worth the drive!!!

We have been here 3 times since February 14th, 2025. This is by far the best Chinese restaurant, food & service in Taylor, TX. Don't pass by this hidden gem. We've been in the area due to my husband's job for 1 1/2 years & just found this place. That's sad! Please go, you won't be sorry. We have not had one single issue with any part of this restaurant. We have tried the egg rolls, crab rangoons, bbq pork fried rice, chicken lomain, Chicken Moo Goo Gai Pan, General Tso's Chicken & Shrimp, Ginger chicken, sesame chicken & Egg Foo Young. We had walked past it a few times in the past and had been wanting to try it out. The restaurant is small and non-assuming, but don't let that fool you. We opted for lunch with a couple friends and were not disappointed. Our server Mack greeted us as we arrived and quickly got us seated with menus and waters. I had heard that the Kao Soi was supposed to be really good, so I opted for that. My wife had her usual Pad Thai with chicken, our friends had Pad Krapow with pork and chicken Basil Fried Rice. Living in Thailand for 6 years as a kid, I pretty much know good Thai food, and I can tell you that all 4 dishes hit the mark. I tried tastes from all 4 dishes. The Pad Thai was served with crushed peanuts and a big slice of lime and was very flavorful, had the right amount of sauce, but probably could have used just a tad less sugar and a few more pieces of meat. The Basil Fried Rice was delicious. It had that "wok-fired" street food taste and was served with some sliced cucumber and a slice of lime. The only thing I would change is to leave the broccoli out. You don't typically see that in Thailand. The Pad Krapow had a spot-on taste associated with good Pad Krapow and did not disappoint. The only suggestion is to be sure and order it with a fried egg to make it more authentic. Last but certainly not least was my Kao Soi. Only recently becoming more popular here in the US, it is an egg noodle curry soup dish that originates from northern Thailand. I have had Kao Soi in restaurants in Chiang Mai, and I can tell you that JaiWai hit every mark with this one! Most impressive was the plate of condiments. It included a lime wedge for a little acidity to help brighten the flavor of the broth, chopped shallots for some freshness, and pickled mustard greens that really make a difference! They are tart and crunchy and help counter the richness of the broth, a component that's very important in Thai cuisine. And lastly, fried chili flakes. This is optional for those who want to add some heat to their bowl, but for me it is mandatory. I like my Thai food hot and spicy. The only suggestion I have for the Kao Soi is maybe top it with slightly less fried noodles. They were welcome, but just a tad difficult to mix them into the soup because of the amount. Mack did an amazing job serving us. He was very friendly and took the time to confirm our orders. So I highly recommend JaiWai and we will be making it our go to Thai place in Georgetown. Do yourself a favor and give them a try! Ambiance - 9/10 Service - 10/10 Food - 10/10 Overall - 10/10
