    Hot and Sour soup
    John B.

Found this place for a last minute lunch stop, when our planned lunch turned out to be closed for a private party. Glad we opted for this place, outstanding experience. Staff was great, very friendly and welcoming, and all orders came out efficiently. Food definitely showed care in preparation, not just in quality and taste, but also in the careful presentation. I opted for the Hot and Sour soup, which had a nice heat level, and a generous amount of ingredients. Tried to get a good picture, you could probably make a meal off the large size. Got the Spicy Ninja roll, was really tasty, with a superior blend of components to make the perfect bite. The nigiri sushi I got along with it, the Hamachi and Unagi, were very good, could probably make myself sick just eating endless plates of those. Hop Queen got Moo Goo Gai Pan, as they have a good Chinese selection to back up the sushi bar. That and her miso soup, with spring rolls, took care of her meals for the rest of the day. Ample parking out front, easy in and out (not all places in Georgetown are as accessible), Highly recommended!

We found ourselves in the area so I looked up and found this place for lunch because they had lunch specials where you can get two rolls for $11 or three for $15 with soup and good bento box offers. The rolls are more simple but we were wowed by the quality of the fish and the amount of sashimi in the role. Truly the perfect fish to rice ratio! The ambience is quiet and calm and the service was friendly. Good place for a quality, no frills sushi meal.

Good quality sushi, great services, good value. Quiet and cozy sushi shop with lots of parking. Great prices compared to other sushi in the area and no sacrifice for quality.

Think of a dive bar.... Hole in the wall taco shop... usually they're pretty good sometimes the best. Well, this place... definitely a dive and wasn't the best. The service sucked... attitude was like I owed her something (other than the payment) We had a couple rolls and some veggie tempura. It was horrible. Doughy uncooked and sear your tongue hot. The rolls were subpar looks like they have a great selection but it's the same thing over and over with a different type of fish.... Flavor was on a scale of 1-10... solid 3. Ambiance was like pretty much.... Dive bar quality .... Not a fave .... Sorry

Sushi is always delicious and service is always quick and great. Husband loves their Hot and Sour soup. They have kids meals for the kiddos.

First time here for all of us! Party of 3, Thursday at 7:15pm. Seated immediately. Service was friendly and fast. I really liked the cucumber salad, it was in a sweet vinegar sauce. The house salad with ginger dressing was fresh and had great flavor. I ordered the Philadelphia role and they added jalapeno and spicy mayo per my request! It was really good! Overall, I am really happy we happened to find this spot just down the road from my house. There is such a large selection of sushi as well as other menu items. I will be back again and again, especially for the cucumbers :)

Update: my sister and I have been back each Saturday since my review. The service just keeps getting better and the sushi is ALWAYS amazing!!!!!! I really didn't think I could find good sushi in Georgetown! I have! Don't miss out on this awesome place! It's in a strip mall and that almost guarantees great food! IYKYK!

A little restaurant located in a strip center on Austin Ave. I noticed it as I was leaving my hair salon & decided to give it a try. I ordered a Philly Roll, Sweet Potato roll & a crunchy roll. All were great! The sweet potato roll was unusual and very tasty! I would order it again! Clean, Good service & my glass was kept full. I'll be back!

That said, I've never had better or fresher tasting sushi and sashimi so they could have a porcupine serve me and I'd be ok with it! My favorite is the Hamachi and the Lotus Float (this is the Chef's creation you wont find anywhere else!) appetizers are amazing, and the edamame is top notch. Why did it take so long, I have no clue? We specifically came to this location to get the lunch Bento box specials. Bento box The Bento box lunch specials here are fully customizable (based upon a set list of items of course), which is nice as you can get as you can really have it your way (written in the B.K. theme song tone). We both elected to get the sushi, teriyaki chicken and salmon respectively. The lunch special bento boxes also come with standard white rice, a small salad with sesame dressing and miso soup. The beto boxes are truly filling for their size which I acredit to the rice from both the sushi and the portion that comes with the lunch. The teriyaki was perfectly balanced as it wasn't too salty which was perfect as when it tastes overwhelmingly savory, masking other flavors like sweetness and garlic. Conversely, the miso soup was a bit too salty for my liking. Sometimes the saltiness in miso soup can vary depending on the type and amount of miso paste used. I didnt think to tell the staff that I required something lower in sodium which is my fault. We also ordered another sushi role that was made with crispy salmon, jalapeno, spicy mayo, Sriracha and seaweed. The sushi role was crunchy and had a nice kick of flavor. Paired with wasabi, this role was an explosive flavor bomb. The service coupled with the food, vaule for quanity of food and service make this an ideal luch spot for fresh sushi. #supportlocal

For roughly $60 the wife was full and we had roughly 6 dishes and one cocktail (I was still slightly hungry). Think of it as more of a tapas style ordering. Soft shelled crab - My absolute favorite and by far the best dish! Crispy from the breading, soft shell and subtle crab taste, and to top it off the fried egg adds some creaminess from the yolk. Not greasy at all due to the way it's fried. And who doesn't like a little microgreen to add some freshness to it?! It could likely use a little more salt, and this particular time the yolk was a overcooked. Sushi Tacos - 2nd favorite! You get two, and frankly I prefer not sharing these (although my wife forced me to). It's such a unique dish. Each taco is palm sized. They take a yummy piece of laver (seaweed), coat one side and deep fry it to make a nice hard shell taco casing. Then they fill it with sushi rice, top it with plentiful tuna, add a slice of avocado, and top it with micro greens. Refreshing, light (once you squeeze the tiny lime on top), slightly filling due to the rice, and absolutely delicious. Takoyaki - I'm not a fan, but the wife is. For me it's a texture thing. Even when visiting Japan I didn't enjoy this dish. Honestly though I do think it deserves far more bonito flakes, as the dish is meant to look alive from the waving flakes. Honestly we love this place so much, I always get engrossed in the food so much I forget to take pics. The overall ambience is chill and refined, albeit no white tableclothes, but it acts like it should have them.
