    Blackened shrimp po boy

We enjoyed a dinner here while vacationing on Jekyll Island. I really wanted some fried fresh Georgia shrimp and having just missed the love shack nearby as they closed at six on Monday, we tried out Corridor Z instead. We sat on their patio space overlooking the dunes and palm trees and it's a nice setting. We had a good and polite waitress and I had a mai tai from the bar- strong! I got the fried shrimp with grits and Mac and cheese- everything was good but I would say across the board, an increase in salt would hurt nothing. A little bit pricey as most venues on Jekyll Island are- but we enjoyed our meal and especially the very nice setting.

We had shrimp and grits, shrimp on skewers, and a mahi sandwich. All were very good. Desserts were also good. Staff was very nice and helpful. Open air room with outdoor seating.

Decent experience but not one that's gonna stay with me forever. We ate out on the back patio. It was a decent ambiance with the breeze from the beach nearby and palm trees swaying. The service was friendly and quick. My sandwich was okay. Seemed a bit skimpy and didn't blow me away. It is all way overpriced for what is being served. $3 for my soda. $3 for my kid's orange juice. Ridiculous. The mac and cheese was good with the scallion topping but not the best I've ever had. Worth trying if you're in the mood, but probably not a repeat experience.

Smoked Fish Dip (a daily special) was excellent!! Our server was very friendly and pretty efficienThe ambiance was great - not busy at 7:30-8:00ish. The outdoor porch was very nice. We wanted to love it all but unfortunately that's where it stops. Dropped in for a dinner on a Friday evening after checking into the campground in our motorhome. Thoroughly enjoyed fish dip. Had 2 different mixed drinks - neither were good. The server recommended shrimp (or scallops) over a lemon basil risotto. My husband had the scallops and they were good. My shrimp were too chewy/overcooked. Risotto was way too salty and overcooked. Would probably go back just for fish dip, but not offered every day on regular menu.

We were looking for a restaurant near the water and we ended up here. It was a beautiful day, so we sat outside on the covered patio. Bad idea as the no-see-ums were out in full force. I decided to have the wild Georgia shrimp with sides. The shrimp were the best part of the plate. Lightly battered and tasty. The Mac and cheese had very over cooked pasta, and sat in a pool of butter (not in a good way). The baked beans were ok but not as ok after a few bites. The hush puppies were terribly over cooked. I also had the Pepino de Margarita. It came with a tajin rim-it did not say that in the description and it was not a good addition. There were muddled cucumbers in the drink and they clogged the tiny straw that was provided for the drink. The staff was friendly. Maybe on a different day or different time, this place may be better.

We didn't have reservations so we had to wait about half an hour. The restaurant was largely empty but the wait was due to labor shortage. We had a great view of the dunes once we sat down. I had the shrimp po boy and it was quite good. Nothing special but it was good. Service was very good.

I put corridor Z on our Jekyll island list of potentials and we were thrilled to find out that it was 200 steps from our hotel! The service was fantastic! I believe our servers name was Jana, and if I spelled that wrong & got it mixed up then I apologize. She's been with the company for a long time and her dedication to customer service is apparent. She was proficient and proactive! We started with some fun cocktails, my gf got the spicy mint marg & I had the banana mudslide slushie. Both of them were fantastic. The marg was light and crisp & mine was hearty without being too heavy! My friend chose the fish tacos & I selected the shrimp poboy. The tacos were so fresh and absolutely delicious. Paired perfectly with the spicy marg! The poboy was equally as delicious with the perfect amount of blackened seasoning. We will absolutely return during our next Jekyll getaway!

Probably the most consistently good food on the island. I don't think I've had anything bad here. The service here is great once someone pays attention to you! (I've almost walked out twice after sitting for an actual full 10 minutes without someone even offering water or acknowledging that I'm there after I've been seated.)

tried the crab cake sandwich here with Mac and cheese. the sandwich was good but I felt like I needed to put a lot of the sauce on top to get more flavor. the Mac and cheese was a little different than normal Mac and had green onions on it. I also tried the hush puppies that had a nice sweet crispy crust to them

Delicious food. Went for lunch and got the smash burger and fries. The burger was very flavorful. The fries were perfectly fried and seasoned. Ate outside on their porch area with nice views of the dunes and palm trees. Table was pretty sticky. Overall enjoyed our experience.

Nice location right next to the beach, but food mediocre. Burger with mac and cheese side dish disappointing.

It was perfect whether I was eating alone or with other people. The atmosphere was warm, friendly, and comfortable, and it really did feel like stepping into a cozy Irish pub. The servers were wonderful, the bartender was great, and everyone around us seemed happy. The food was fantastic. I had the steak and cheese hoagie, and it was made with real steak. The peppers and onions were absolutely amazing, and the whole sandwich was one of the best I have ever had. I also had the shrimp and grits, and they were the best I have ever had--ever. They were savory, rich, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. You can tell the chef cares deeply about both quality and presentation. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and generous without being overdone. One of my friends had the drunken chicken salad, and it was marinated and cooked perfectly. I saw several dishes come out while I was there, and I never heard one complaint from anyone. The desserts were also incredible. The butter cake was rich, had a beautiful texture, and was drizzled with raspberry sauce. I also tried the bread pudding after hearing people talk about it, and while the presentation surprised me at first because it was cut into little cubes, the taste was absolutely wonderful. I only got one picture, of my shrimp and bread, because everything else disappeared before we remembered to take photos. That probably says it all. There are a lot of places to eat on Jekyll Island, but Wee Pub is absolutely worth it. It is right across from the convention center on the corner, and I would go back in a heartbeat.

I recommend trying the side of grits with gravy if you want the taste of the shrimp and grits without the much bigger cost for the shrimp. I loved the flavors of everything. Because the restaurant is downtown there is plenty of free street parking spaces right outside the door. There is a bar, with bar seating, The other seating consisted of normal table with hard back chairs, and couches that ran down the side of the wall with tables, and hard back chairs on the other side. Overall, the service was adequate, not good, and certainly not great, but good enough not to stop us from enjoying our night out. I started with what was supposed to be a cup of Tomato Bisque but received and paid for a bowl. Somewhat my fault for not realizing that my serving and what I paid for was large and more expensive than the cup I ordered. With that said, I thought the flavor of the bisque served with, Garlic Buttered Crostini, and grated Smoked Gouda was outstanding. The temperature could have been a bit warmer, but again the flavor was sport on. The wife and I split a very large bowl of PEI Mussels. The Mussels were served in a white wine broth with Shallots, Garlic, Roasted Tomatoes, and Bacon. Honestly, I could and did finish the broth off as a soup. There were quite a few Mussels that did not open, but the bowl was so large, we wouldn't have eaten them anyway. The wife's main dish was the Pan Seared Sea Scallops, with peach and bacon risotto, and fresh Spinach. The dish was finished with an amazing Bourbon Peach Brown Butter Reduction. The scallops were large, the Risotto was great, but the brown butter reduction was the absolute star of the dish. For my main dish I had the Curried Lamb Lollipops, served over Cilantro Basmati Rice, and roasted Tomatoes with an excellent curry sauce. The chops were of good size and cooked to perfection. And please don't even get me started on the fired Garlic Butter Paratha which is some of the best bread I have ever had. My mistake was ordering a side of the Peach and Bacon Risotto similar to what was served with the scallop dish. Without the Bourbon Peach Brown Butter Reduction however, the risotto ate a little dry and had little to no peach flavor. I finished my meal with a bourbon , Mascarpone, bread pudding, which was amazing. The dish was loaded with bourbon which both my wife and I agreed was not completely cooked off. Great dish to finish an outstanding meal. Even with a few minor missteps, the overall flavor of the dishes were so good, I still must give it an overall 5.

My experience is that many places just don't deliver the quality expected and I'm often disappointed. I'll have to say, Woodside delivered! This place is clearly elevated, elegant, and the food is prepared with culinary skill. From the moment we stepped inside, I could tell the atmosphere was classy and quaint. We were greeted by our server Buddy and the bartender. My instincts were that this was going to be good. I was still cautious. Buddy seated us appropriately and brought us menus and filtered water. We both started with coffee and to my surprise Buddy brought a large urn of French press coffee, whole cream and sugar cubes, I absolutely love French Press coffee but rarely see it. I make it at home but on occasion see it offered in a restaurant. Definitely a step above. We looked at the brunch menu and found it hard to decide as there were so many interesting selections that I wanted to try. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict and I ordered the Croque Madame. As I deliberated, Buddy suggested that I'd stick with my first impression and that I would not be disappointed. I thought it was very classy the way he presented that and it makes sense that sometimes one should go with their first instinct, rather than wonder if they made the right choice later. Again, there were just so many things I wanted to try. When our meals came out, we were both pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste. This was not ordinary breakfast, but I had a good price point for what you get. It was really about the same cost as most breakfast places on the island, but such higher quality and sophistication. I can honestly say this was the best brunch experience I've had in many years and we've frequent a lot of places. The Croque was so tasty, complex and abundant and even the french fries were excellent. My wife's Benedict was also very special as it was rich, fresh, and absolutely clear it was prepared by a chef. The Latkas were a tasty complement. Overall, this was an outstanding experience and I just didn't want to leave. I can't wait to return for dinner to experience it. I believe the menu changes daily and I would definitely recommend Woodside as an elevated dining experience. I am happy to rate this a true 5.0 as it is the best food I've had in the Brunswick/SSI area over the past 6 months. Buddy was great and clearly understands service etiquette. Thanks so much for helping us enjoy a truly nice experience.
