Service was fast and friendly. However, the food today was underwhelming. I eat sweet potato fries a lot and I love them. However, today they were almost tasteless. You'd think sweet potatoes would always taste pretty much the same, but apparently not. The coconut shrimp would have been tasty, but the oil they were cooked in was old. I really hated the sauce that came with them--it tasted like red pepper and vinegar, which doesn't go with coconut shrimp. I feel bad to have to share how awful the food was because the staff was so friendly and the live music was great. They both get 5 stars and are the reason I gave them a 2 and not a 1. But we fell for the fake "elite" (bought by Yelp) reviews and wasted money on a poor experience so that's never a fun or fair thing to go through. The food was low quality, processed, cheap grade everything, just not up to par. The desserts we had come from a supplier and were filled with so much artificial stuff that I had insomnia from the level of sugar, and odd reactions to chemicals. My mouth and tongue were swollen all night, and I had tingling in my limbs. This usually happens with MSG but I wouldn't think there was MSG in what I ate. Maybe the burger? But then it might've tasted good and it didn't. Anyway it was very unpleasant especially while on vacation. Atmosphere was very unexpected and odd. There was a white (indoor) picket fence separating the dining room from the hallway to bathrooms or pro shop, the register was a counter with convenience store type things for sale in the glass display, and there was a rounder of fashion jewelry randomly in the middle of the dining room. Once inside the dining room we could see fridge cases of cold drinks, I guess for a quick grab off the golf course? But the convenience store type fridges were, again, in the middle of the dining room. The lighting was all fluorescent and super bright like a mall store or a police station or a classroom, not at all like a restaurant. Very very off-putting and strange, the whole experience. This place is in major need of an overhaul from the dining room to the kitchen--food and decor have not been updated since 1982! I know it is a haven for locals who probably prefer an escape from tourists, but for how well the Authority is fixing up everything on the island, it just seems out of place in terms of quality. I can rattle off a dozen amazing restaurants in Brunswick and nearby whose food deserves the exposure and platform of Jekyll Island, but the chefs/owners don't have the means to be on the island. This place is so undeserving of the chance to reach tourist dollars. I think it's high time the Authority found a way to give the far more talented (mostly black-owned) casual eateries in Brunswick an opportunity to grow their business and delight people with better food here! read more

Best service I've had in years even at fancy restaurants. We arrived with a lot of kids and two families eating & didn't expect much (knowing we brought a crew:). The server somehow kept our families straight without even asking who belonged to who. She was so attentive and when our steaks were overcooked, it was all taken care of so quickly and efficiently. Will definitely skip Tortuga Jacks (our usual ) for this place the next time we take the family to Jekyll! Great service, good food & had a great time. My best friend and I went to Jekyll for a girls trip and we kept asking our hotel staff what their favorite restaurants were...Tribuzios was a constant theme so we rode our bikes over for brunch!! We split the avocado toast and the Belgian waffle. The avocado was hard and firm, we were unable to cut it, and our waitress kindly removed the dish. We then chose the crawfish biscuit and gravy...what a silver lining! It was FANTASTIC!!! Neither of us had ever had anything quite like it. The flavor was so unique and we both loved it!! I tried this golf-course restaurant after a recommendation, it was pretty good. I was starving for lunch so their blackened mahi sandwich sounded good. The bun was toasted nicely and the fish was high quality. My side was their "homemade mac and cheese". I thought the portion was small, the mac was decently good but not outstanding. I was disappointed from the time I was seated. The host was giving us a feeling like she didn't won't to be bothered. I had corn beef hash, eggs over easy, grits, and a biscuit. The hash really tasted like it was from a can. The biscuit was not fresh. Probably originally frozen. The grits didn't have any salt (I understand many people like them with sugar). We like to go to family owned restaurants and we very surprised how excellent the food and service was. My wife ordered the shrimp scampi. The shrimp were fresh and the sauce was outstanding. I order half dozen of raw oysters that were excellent. In addition, I had a half rack of their ribs. The sauce was the right amount of sweetness. This is a hidden gem. They care about the food they present and the staff is helpful and personable. I have never had fried shrimp as good as they prepare it here. Oysters were plump and creamy and delicious. This is a regular "must" whenever we come back to Jekyll. Live this place. read more

The Seapak Coconut Shrimp, Walmart Crab Legs, and the Calamari was definitely from the frozen box at Walmart as well. All the food we ate had no flavor and tasted terrible. Half of it was burnt!!!! If that doesn't push you away then the service will. The waiters didn't know anything! We were telling her how many sides the meal comes with & then she ended up forgetting them. If I could rate this a 0 I would. We walked in for a 20 minute wait, which wasn't bad, but it only got worse from there. We ordered a dozen raw oysters and calamri for our appetizers, the oysters were muddy and no flavor, the calamari was fine but obviously frozen. The prime ribeye was fine nothing to brag about, probably the best thing on the table. Next the crab legs, they were probably boiled in toilet water, plain, and for $80!?!? They came with cole slaw that was hot, who has heard of hot cole slaw?No thank you! One of the specials was a New York Strip which was ordered rare, anyway it came looking like it was boiled and and looked like a hamburger patty. I had the Malibu Mahi Mahi which tasted like nothing and pretty much raw squash. Then the coconut shrimp was burnt and the batter was Seapak. I ordered the Belgian waffle, turkey sausage, scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese. The waffle is NOT Belgian. It tasted like it was pulled from a deep freezer and popped into a toaster to cook, same with the turkey sausage. The eggs were runny, sloppy, and tasted awful. This place is a hot mess. My wife called them at noontime yesterday and wanted to make sure they were open because the last time we went they were closed on a Saturday. The woman she spoke with said they were going to be open and they also had live music outside 6-9 pm. We invited friends to go with us. Travelled 40 miles paid the $8 fee to get on the island and got to the restaurant only to find the doors locked. There was a sign inside the door which read " Sorry for any inconvenience but dinner tonight is canceled. The guy who runs this place is not easy to get along with even with the membership on Jekyll Island. Seems to be the way the JIA is running things these days. Stay away from here. read more

I don't quite know what happened here. Ate a delicious and perfectly cooked meal last night. My burger was spot on medium and dining companions Rueben was toasty and flavorful. Our server Blaze was friendly and attentive. If we had reviewed last night would have been four stars. Came back for a second meal and wow was completely a different dining experience. My mahi sandwich was ordered blackened. It arrived over cooked so I doused it with some salad dressing and ate it. I was super hungry. Dining companion based on my choice last night opted for the burger. First one arrived basically like a dark lump of coal. Asked to have it remade. Was burnt even more. Seemed like the chef pressed down on the grill to cook it fast but it was a total disaster. Manager came around this time and when he was told this wasn't appropriate he said apathetically " well, we grill our burgers". It was taken off the check as it was inedible.
