At my next appointment, the assistant was very gentle placing my Invisalign attachments and explained every step as she went. I was excited to start treatment here due to all the amazing 5 star reviews. When I made an appointment for a consultation, I was under the impression that it was going to be an in person consult with the doctor. When I arrived to my appointment, it turns out it was going to be a consult with the treatment coordinator, Connie. They did not inform me of this before or during my appointment. During the consult, I had informed Connie of my concerns and what I would like to see fixed. I currently have braces on and have been with my ortho for 4 years and not seeing the results that I want. As a result, I have stopped treatments and requested a full refund, and I was looking to transfer my case over. Connie examined my teeth and took a few pictures with a camera. She then left the room to show the photos to the doctor. She comes back in a few minutes later to tell me that the doctor is too busy with his patients and is not able to meet with me. At this point, I was extremely disappointed. She informs me the treatment would take about 12 months. When I asked questions regarding what type of treatment would be used, she stated that I would first have to remove my brackets with my prev ortho and come back for another assessment. She also stated I could have my brackets removed in office for an extra fee. She gave me a quote and stated payments would start next office visit with the doctor. I was a little concerned and confused after the consult as I was expecting a meeting with the doctor. I had so many questions. So I decided to contact the office again to request a consult with the doctor. Connie gives me a call back and I informed her I would like to meet with the doctor. It felt like she was reluctant to schedule the appointment. She said things like, " the doctor is going to ask, well, what does she want to discuss?" "he's going to say, I wish the braces were off" "well, if she doesn't want to wear rubber bands, then why is she here?" "you can send me the questions and I can forward them to him". I'm sure she wasn't trying to be rude, but the conversation made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I felt like she was trying to speak on behalf of the doctor and meeting with me would simply be a waste of his time. TBH, I felt like I was begging and I'm a little offended. I thought it was common to meet with the doctor before starting a medial procedure. I don't understand why she was making it so difficult. I didn't have any issues with the front desk staff, they were friendly. After correcting my posture my bite was feeling a bit off so I started looking into orthodontists to see if they could help. After asking around, a lot of my friends and family were recommending Corsa Ortho, saying Dr C there is very honest, reliable and has steady hands. Add to that, nothing but 5 stars on Yelp so the due diligence was simple. Called them up, spoke to Diane who was super professional on the phone and made sure I knew of their Covid policy and other details. We set up a consultation for a couple days later. Day of the appointment, the address is easy to find. The team there is very warm and welcoming. Heather helped me through the paperwork which was surprisingly minimal. The office is clean and brightly lit, Covid protocols are strictly enforced so I felt very safe during my visit. Dr C was every bit as described. It's nice seeing Columbia and Harvard degrees on the walls, bit hoity-toity, but gives a sense of old school professionalism and reliability. Because of the change in my bite, I was thinking I would need braces and a lot of work. But after a quick checkup, Dr C is basically telling me my teeth and bite are fine and I don't need any braces. He said I was overthinking it and if anything, retainers - to keep my teeth aligned - was all I needed. I went with his suggestion. Got impressions of my upper and lower teeth, went out for lunch and some shopping and by the time I was back the retainers were all ready. Great experience. Recently moved to the bay and decided to get invisalign after my new insurance started covering it. After reviewing multiple orthos in South Bay, I found that Dr. Corsa to be the best qualified. He went to Harvard for dental school and did his doctoral residency at Columbia University. The office was very clean with all the latest technical equipment. Dr. Corsa is very hands on and explained how the invisalign trays work as well as showing me via the computer how my teeth would correct over time. His staff and techs were also very nice and knowledgeable. My insurance was accepted and his staff was very open on how much out of the pocket costs would be owed by me which I found very beneficial. I don't think I've ever been excited to go to the orthodontist, but strangely I love my visits at Corsa. The office coordinator lady is so sweet, and super helpful, she made this (what I thought would be out of my budget) treatment very affordable. I had braces for years, then a permanent retainer, I few years ago I decided to get it removed. MISTAKE !!! My bottom teeth moved all around.
