Oh, where do I start?! I just graduated from Corsa Invisalign! My journey began in late May of 2023, and now that my treatment is complete, it feels bittersweet--but my goodness, I am incredibly thankful and so happy with my SMILE! =D I wasn't always confident when smiling. I was referred by a family doctor to Dr. Corsa. I came in for free consultation and was helped by a lady who was very nice and sweet. The following appointment I came in to do paperwork with the finance coordinator Van and noticed on the contract that the estimated insurance amount was listed as N/A (Why ask for my insurance coverage when you didn't plan to add it into the contract so that was odd) . I told Van that I would like to know the exact insurance coverage amount as I thought should be a standard practice for any dental offices to confirm all the financial details with the patient and have everything clearly stated in the contract. I was told that the insurance company could cover up roughly to $3,000 (no confirmation on the exact amount). I restated and asked if this could be verified so that I would know the exact amount and was told they will verify this and get back to me. During my initial scans for records, I repeatedly asked for the insurance coverage and was rushed into signing the contract before fully understanding the financial details. Under pressure, I paid the $500 deposit upfront and asked the finance coordinator if I could pay the remaining deposit later which they agreed. After a few days without any update from the dental office regarding insurance coverage, I called the following week to ask whether they had checked with my insurance. The front desk assistant told me they have not yet done so. The following week I received a bad news and my financial situation changed due to an ill family member. I immediately emailed the office to inform them that I needed to pause the treatment due to personal reason. They acknowledged my request and did not mention any cancellation policy or penalties in the response. However, the following week, I received a text message from the office asking to schedule the appointment for aligners, which confused me because I was under the impression that the treatment had already been stopped based on their confirmation email. Couple weeks went by and I was charged for the first month of treatment. I reached out to the dental office and they informed me that the charge was a mistake and that it will be refunded. The finance coordinator Van called back and I explained to her that I had confirmed a month ago to stop the treatment and asked about the charge. She mentioned that it was the first payment and that she does not have access to the email I sent to pause the treatment so she was not aware of it . WHY AM I RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MISCOMMUNICATION OF THE DENTAL OFFICE WHEN I HAVE CLEARLY INFORMED THEM A MONTH AGO TO STOP THE TREATMENT. I explained to Van due to recent financial changes I will not move forward with the treatment. She then said to terminate the treatment I would be responsible for a total of $2,550 (lab fee $1,700. X-ray $250, and records of 600). Not only they are seeking to keep the downpayment plus the first payment but an additional $1,686.75 with a total of $2,550 of my hard earned money for doing absolutely nothing. I asked Van if this was the final amount, and she said it was only an estimate again leaving the financial details unclear. I then request to please confirm the amount with Dr. Corsa, and they responded via email with a contract to sign for early termination of treatment (when no treatment has been done) and seeking for the full amount of $2,550. I followed up and ask if I could get a breakdown of all the charges and was told: "The fees you requested do not have a breakdown as they are fees for the treatment that applies to every patient and does not require breakdown". I did two scans that cost $250, and signed paper work THAT COST $600???? If the lab fee was $1,700 and records were processed, why can't they provide a breakdown???? I asked and was immediately rejected for the refund of the down payment and the first payment. To me, the entire process was unclear and unprofessional I was randomly charged for treatment I never received, and suddenly responsible for all other add-on charges. This dental office was not honest nor transparent with any financial details from the beginning. If you choose to come here be cautious and do not give them any money upfront. I would never trust a dental office that treats patients as transactions and I don't know how anyone could feel good working in that kind of environment. read more

Update: Dr. Corsa has since revised his Yelp response. While the updated version is more polished, it differs significantly from his initial reply and appears aimed at reputation management rather than addressing the facts of my case. For clarification: - Only 2 of my 5 emails were ever answered. Critical questions, including why no final scan was performed before declaring my last aligner a permanent retainer, remain unaddressed. - In his replies, it was clear he failed to review retainer options, costs, or alternatives with me during treatment. He also minimized the retainer acknowledgment form I was pressured to sign, despite its false documentation that a retainer had been provided, brushing it off as "pretty generic." - The option of a Vivera retainer was only offered after my case was closed and after I had already raised complaints, further evidence that this was not part of my treatment planning or collaborative care. - My complete dental records were never provided within the 15 calendar days required by California law. I have filed a 61-page formal complaint with the Dental Board of California. I will not be updating or engaging further here, as this matter is now in the Board's hands. read more

January 2025 update: I've graduated to night time only use! Excited to see the progress and it will be nice to only have the Invisalign at night after wearing them 24/7 for over a year. The staff were great about explaining the options once my passive aligners are worn out and how much Vivera costs. It's 30% stronger than regular Invisalign retainers. My experience at Corsa Orthodontics was extremely disappointing. It became immediately clear that Dr. Corsa does not have the expertise to handle complex adult orthodontic cases. Instead of acknowledging his limitations professionally, he dismissed my concerns in minutes, told me my case was 'too complicated,' and that 'we are stuck'. He provided no treatment options, no explanation, and not even a referral to someone qualified. A competent provider refers patients to specialists when a case is outside their scope. He did not. Other orthodontists I consulted afterward explained my situation in detail and confirmed that treatment is absolutely possible -- just not with someone lacking advanced training or experience. If you have anything beyond simple, routine orthodontic needs, I would strongly recommend going elsewhere. This practice is not equipped for complex cases, and patients deserve better than being dismissed without guidance. read more

Dr. Corsa and his crew are truly amazing. Each and every time we arrive for a visit we are greeted with warm smiles and never had to wait more than a few minutes to be seen. I have to say I was very skeptical when Dr. Corsa offered Invisalign as an option for treatment for my 9 yr old. In some ways, I think he had more confidence in my little one than I did. However, after his conversation with my daughter and his assessment of her dental hygiene and her maturity, we all agreed to move forward with Invisalign. Also, to note, I had no idea that a class II malocclusion could be corrected with an Invisalign. We set forth on a journey to correct misaligned teeth, crowding, front top gap and the malocclusion. All that was miraculously and meticulously addressed with just Invisalign! No expander. No braces. No pulling teeth. I am overly impressed. Being a health care professional myself, I was very impressed by how he treated my daughter. So many health care providers when treating children often refer to the parents and ask most of the questions and give explanations to the parents. He truly communicated so clearly and on such an appropriate level of understanding that my daughter was able to navigate her treatment. I was there for support. I am a firm believer in being an advocate for yourself. Teaching my daughter how to take action and be a critical thinker is vital. On our last visit, Dr. Corsa explained the next stages of treatment and shared that it was time to remove 6 or so attachments. My daughter was not excited about having them removed and Dr. Corsa heard her, sensed her apprehension and explained that they eventually need to be removed. They agreed that it could wait until her next visit. My daughter was so happy she had time to process a situation that brings her some fear. Dr. Corsa's kind demeanor and empowering my daughter to make a decisions that suited her at that moment in time speaks volumes to me. I also would like to express how impressed I am with the organization and cleanliness of the facility. It is spotless, high tech, modern and organized. It has such a great vibe/energy. We are nearing the end of phase 1 of treatment. Our daughter is so pleased with her teeth and her jaw alignment and is looking forward to a break from changing out her trays each week to a nightly retainer. I was poor so I previously decided to do budget Invisalign with a different dentist. That was a mistake. Although ClearCorrect lined up some of my teeth; - many were still twisted - my bite was offset - they shaved off the sides of my teeth - they stopped treatment before all my teeth were properly line So yeah. I ended up having redo things. I did Invisalign with Corsa Orthodontics. Dr. Corsa elucidated these issues to me and fixed them. So yeah, I'm a happy trooper. I recommend skipping budgeting Invisalign and going straight to actual Invisalign with Dr. Corsa. He and his team knows what they're doing. And it'll be cheaper than doing Invisalign twice read more

D DAY was yesterday for me! After two years without eating elote on the cob, my teeth were finally free from the discomfort of adult braces. From the beginning 'til the end, I was satisfied by the services doctor Corsa and his team provided; From the initial consult, the adjustments, and the de-bonding, I was truly satisfied. I was a good girl and never did break anything coz I actually paid for my adult braces (not mom or pop) so that motivated me to not effed up HAHAHA. GREAT SMILE is expensive (if you're one of the unlucky ones to be blessed with crooked teeth) yet is such one of the best investments you can give to yourself. I went in for my consultation which the website says is Free. I had the scan for Invisalign and an xray. A nice man, I cant remember his name, helped me with the paperwork to get started. I needed to get my current dentist to sign over his invisalign license so Dr. Corsa could review it and then create a plan for me. I signed some documents, one of them was a deposit for treatment WHICH COULD NOT BE STARTED UNTIL MY CURRENT DENTIST SIGNED OVER THE INVISALIGN LICENSE. Never was I told the deposit was non refundable. A week later I received some bad news and my financial position changed. I told the office I waned to cancel treatment and asked for a refund. During this week the office also deducted one month fee from my bank account - treatment was not started! The office told me my deposit was non refundable. This dental office is shady and not transparent. Be very careful if you choose to go here for anything and make sure you don't give them any money up front. A couple of weeks later the man who did my intake called to tell me that the doctor graciously decided to give me back $1000.00 of my $1500.00 and also the first month fee. I asked what about the other $500.00? HE said it was for xrays and other non specific things - which was supposed to be covered in the free consultation. So when they finally where going to mail me the refund check they only want to give me back $907.71. So they want to keep $1000.00 of my hard earned money for doing nothing. Absolutely nothing. Dr. Corsa is a crook. I don't know how any can feel good about working for him. read more
