When service blows your mind and you get stuck for words. It's happening right now. With Purim festivities in the air and me leaving things to last minute, I didn't know what to expect when returning to Liquors Galore for nice arrangements. Of course the store was bustling with last minute humans like me, but even with everything going on, an employee at the store was so kind, patient and understanding when helping me out. He really listened to my description of what I am looking for. I managed to get the most beautiful pieces they had left and I know the people I will give them to are going to love them. They have arrangements ranging from low prices to expensive so they can serve the best purpose for different people. Also a great selection of awesome liquor on sale weekly. I just simply can't get over how amazing the service is. I will definitely be returning next year for my Purim arrangements.

The place has a large variety of products and the prices are not bad, where it suffers is that there is not a great wine selection, and as I am not a wine connosseur, no one in the shop could reccomend anything except to point out where the Malbec was hidden when I asked for it. I guess the area is not big for wine drinkers, and it does have a good selection of liquor, just that for a place of its size (and the inside still seems cramped) it has that "order your liquor quick from the guy behind the bulletproof glass and get the hell out quick" vibe, than an open and welcoming place that it really could be.

Also, make an effort to greet a customer who greets you. There are lots of in-jokes behind the counter and it sometimes feels like I'm interrupting when I make a purchase. I've had bad experiences with several wines, a couple just super sour with nothing else going on, and one noticeably off (to the point where the wines were undrinkable, and literally went down the drain). Either the buyer has an odd palate or somehow the wines are being stored badly prior to display. Otherwise, the selection is standard rather than discerning. Other stores have a more inspiring range of choice.

Unfortunately you cannot get it in Canada, so when we went to the US in the summer of 2022, I was determined to purchase a couple of bottles. We didn't have any luck in DC or Baltimore, but I figured surely it would be available in New York, and every time I saw a liquor store I'd go in, but I couldn't find it anywhere. However, while in Brooklyn we came across Brooklyn Wine Co so we went in and to our surprise, they sold Blade and Bow! And at $49.95, it was cheaper than at the distillery in Louisville ($63)! So when my husband and I went back to New York over Christmas, going back to Brooklyn Wine Co, even though it was out of our way, was a priority. Because we had only a limited number of days we could venture into Brooklyn (we couldn't go to Brooklyn on days we had a show booked, for example) and I didn't want to turn up and they were out of stock, I contacted them ahead of time asking if there was a chance they would run out of stock, and if so, offered to pre-pay. The owner responded saying that they regularly stock Blade and Bow, but if they were running low, they would put some aside for me, and no need to pre-pay. When we arrived on December 28th, they had plenty of Blade and Bow in stock, but due to the ridiculous custom rules, we could only purchase three bottles. In addition to being one of the few liquor stores that stocks Blade and Bow, the customer service was great. One of the employees offered to go into the stock room to see if he could find a bottle with a specific number that we needed to complete our collection. (There are little plastic keys hanging from the bottles, numbered one to five, and if you get all five and go back to the distillery, you get a golden cup.) Unfortunately we couldn't get the number we needed to complete the set (#5), but the employee was able to help us find another that we needed. Even though we went to Brooklyn Wine Co for a specific product, they have a great selection of wines and spirits, and I will definitely go back if I am ever in New York.
