We were very happy to find this place on our recent visit to Colorado Springs. They had about 8 roasts available from light, medium and dark. We loved that they had beans of each roast available for viewing in jars so we could see them! We tried two different roasts, pour overs, and came home with a bag of medium roast beans from Mexico - a Chapias. They had some muffins available go with the coffee. We chatted for a while with the owner and really enjoyed the coffee talk. The restrooms were clean and there was plenty of seating inside. We'll be back. read more

First timer! So content I chose this place for me and my cousins to visit before heading to Pike's Peak. We've gone to two different coffee shops during our stay in Colorado before coming here. Let's just say we wouldn't have minded coming to Corter Coffee Roasters every day instead of the other coffee shops we went to. The manager, LIANA, is the most pleasant person we've met on this trip. First of all, all our drinks (caramel latte's and chai latte) were BOMB. I had to tell myself to not chug my latte because it was so good. She shared places that we should visit considering we are not from here. This helped so much because a lot of our plans fell through. First, let's talk about the coffee. We are not easily impressed with coffee shops since we roast our own beans. That being said, the coffee here is impressive. They roast onsite and the pulled shots are smooth and full bodied. I got a mocha latte, and it was topped with blue whipped cream- a nod to earth referred to as a pale blue dot- a nice touch! The whole menu has scientific references, and it's fun to look around at the related decor. The staff here are also very knowledgeable and friendly- this place has it all. Okay, Corter Coffee Roasters is a whole vibe. Stopped in while visiting Colorado Springs and I'm already planning my next trip back. We got the a spring special which was a thin mint shaken espresso. Yes, it's as good as it sounds! And we also got the Red Dwarf with dark chocolate and raspberry. Both were light iced, both were fire. Next visit I'm going in for the Concentrated Dark Matter. The staff? Super friendly and chill. The place has a cozy, creative energy, plus they sell cute stickers and fun little extras. You can tell they care about fun. First time coming here and was not disappointed at all. I got the Carmel Sagan and my wife got a matcha with raspberry flavor and they both were so good! The lady taking orders was very sweet and nice. It's a nice and quiet place as well so if you need to do work or just relax it's the perfect environment. 10/10 I will be visiting again. read more

Formerly under the name of Inertia Coffee is now known as Corter Coffee Roasters. The signage outside will say Corter Coffee Roasters but on Yelp, you'll find it as Inertia Coffee. As you open the door upon entering, you get a nice woof of coffee smell because they roast their own coffee here. The concept here is super cute and scientific. If you stay there, your coffee will be served out of a beaker. This was our second coffee stop in one day so this time I got an iced decaf honey lavender latte. Even though it's decaf, it still had the strong bold flavors and reminded me of Vietnamese coffee. It was even topped with a hint of lavender color whip cream! read more

Located in an unassuming strip mall, Corter Coffee is rather nondescript on the outside. Upon entering, you are greeted with a homely, comfy space perfect for gathering or working. However, what deserves attention are burlap bags upon bags of green coffee and roaster behind the counter. This, people, is what sets Corter apart from its peers: freshly own-roasted coffee beans directly to your coffee cup. They offer two different single origin coffees on tap, with multitude others available as pour over or French press. The space is really conducive to meeting with a friend, getting work done, or just reading alone. They have some pastries and treat available for purchase. You can purchase roasted coffee beans. I was looking for a coffee place that isn't a chain to try after my 5am workout and found this one on yelp. I walked in and it was not busy at all but they had just been open for maybe 30 mins. The one lady behind the counter, wasn't the friendliest but wasn't rude. I had to figure out where the menu is at and after looking for it for a few moments the lady finally told me it was behind me so if you've never been here, look for the menu behind you. I am a huge nerd and lover of all things science, so when my dad told me he drove by a new coffee shop I should check out, I googled Corter Coffee Roasters immediately, and went 5 minutes later! All their drinks have super cool and sciencey names, my favorite is the Caramel Sagan, which comes topped with their super fluffy blue dyed whipped cream! You can actually taste sea salt in this latte and it amplifies the flavor so much! I also got a custom creation which was a cold brew with maple pancake and butterscotch flavored syrups! Their cold brew is really strong, and they were super nice about letting me try it out with the amount of cream and flavoring to make sure it was to my liking! They always dress up the drinks so beautifully and it's honestly such an amazing experience everytning because you can tell how much the baristas and owners love what they do! read more

I commuted down to Colorado Springs from Denver for work for two weeks of this month. I was planning on trying several different coffee places, but after I came upon Inertia Coffee on day 2, it was Inertia Coffee every day after that. I chose Inertia because they roast their own coffee. I kept coming back for three reasons. 1: coffee was great. Had the cold brew every morning and was not disappointed. 2: service was great. After coming for only one morning, staff the next day remembered what I ordered. Staff were also consistently friendly/kind to everyone who came in, not just regulars/locals. 3. Adorable science fiction themed stuff. Cute signs, funny illustrations, etc. Loved it. I bought a pound to take back to Denver with me--look forward to trying it.
