I recently had the pleasure of working with Chelsea Powles at Mastria Hyundai of Plymouth, and I…read morecan't recommend her enough! From the moment I walked in, Chelsea greeted me with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm that made the whole car-buying process feel effortless and enjoyable. She took the time to really listen to what I was looking for whether it was fuel efficiency, tech features, or family-friendly space and guided me through their impressive inventory without any pressure. What stood out most was her deep knowledge of the Hyundai lineup. She explained everything from the advanced safety systems to the warranty details in a way that was clear and easy to understand, even for someone like me who's not a car expert. We test-drove a few models, and she pointed out little things I wouldn't have noticed, like the intuitive infotainment setup and smooth handling. In the end, I drove off in a brand-new Tucson that fits my lifestyle perfectly, and the financing was a breeze thanks to her coordination with the team. If you're in the market for a Hyundai in the Plymouth area, do yourself a favor and ask for Chelsea. She's professional, patient, and truly cares about getting you the right vehicle. Five stars all the way Mastria Hyundai is lucky to have her!

A few weeks ago, I visited this dealership to inquire about Hyundai Santa Fe…read more Since the numbers didn't work for us, we left. Over the next several weeks, the dealership repeatedly called and texted both me and my wife, trying to convince us to move forward with the purchase. We continued to explain that the vehicle was simply outside our budget. Then today they called and agreed to the price I had been asking for from the beginning. Sales person Lia told us there was a "special discount today only" and that if we came in at noon, we had a deal. So my wife and I gave up part of a beautiful Saturday and drove to the dealership expecting to finalize the purchase. Instead, we sat waiting for 20-30 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. When our salesperson, Lia, finally came out, she informed us that she could not honor the deal we had been promised. The numbers she presented were nowhere close to the agreed-upon amount. She then attempted to sell us a lower-value vehicle for less but still more money than the deal we had supposedly reached. This was an incredibly unprofessional way to conduct business. A business should honor the commitments it makes to customers. Instead, they wasted our time, failed to honor the terms they used to get us into the dealership, and let us walk out with barely an apology.

Whether by ignorance, carelessness or intent, they led me down a path that was not what I wanted. When I understood that I was not getting correct information and insisted on what I had asked for all along, I was pressured and penalized for their mistakes by being charged exorbitantly. Best Chrysler Jeep Dodge committed to replace all 4 of my tires with a specific premium Michelin tire that, when specifically asked, they confirmed they had in stock. (I had called Best several times to confirm availability after online research showed that Michelin had discontinued this tire and it was no longer available at any of the retailers I checked. Note that this tire was proposed by Best and they provided me with a written quote.) When Best did not respond to calls for 2 days, I drove to the dealership simply to confirm availability. The Service Manager I spoke to said they did, indeed, have the tires in stock and further suggested they save me time by installing the tires immediately. This plan became even more attractive when he told me that since the original quote, the tire was now offered on a buy 3 get the fourth one for $1 deal. I quickly agreed and went to wait while they changed my tires and realigned my car's front end. About 45 minutes later, the Service Manager told me that they did not, in fact, have the tire that less than an hour earlier he told me was in stock. He told me they could instead install an "equivalent" Bridgestone tire. I felt very pressured since it was already getting late in the day, service had begun and I was far from home. They assured me that the Bridgestone tire was just as good as the Michelin and I said if that was indeed the case, they could go ahead. I was now very uncomfortable and after a few minutes, asked the Service Manager specifically what Bridgestone tire we were talking about. He did not know but quickly found out from the service technicians and I started researching the tire online. What I learned is that while the Bridgestone tire has the same specs as the Michelin (except for warranty), it is not equivalent in terms of performance. Of particular concern were repeated reports that the Bridgestone tire performs poorly in winter conditions involving more than very light snow or ice. This limitation is unacceptable for my needs as a year-round, high-mileage driver in New England. (Something which Best knows very well). I immediately brought this to the attention of the Service Manager and told him I was not comfortable going forward with this tire. He spent a considerable amount of time trying to talk me into the Bridgestone tire and when he finally understood that I was not going to move forward with that tire, limited his help to simply checking the availability of alternate tires I was now trying to figure out on the fly. He made no attempt to stop the technicians from installing the Bridgestone tires. It was now late afternoon, and I only had 2 choices: (1) Accept the Bridgestone tires so I could drive home (almost 1 1/2 hours away) or (2) rent a car and leave my car at the dealership so they could install the tires I wanted the next day. Best pressured me further to accept the Bridgestone tires by telling me they would charge me $199 to de-install the Bridgestone tires and they would not loan me a rental car. However, the Bridgestone tires were a non-starter (driving safety is always my highest priority) so I took the second option. The receptionist provided me with a written contract to rent a car for $35 a day and I agreed and went home. The next day, after the new tires were installed, I paid my bill and was surprised to see I was charged $50 for the rental car. When I questioned this and reminded the receptionist I have a written contract quoting $35, she simply looked at me dead in the eye and said the cost is $50. In other words, I had to accept the inflated rate if I wanted my car keys. The only good news in this story is that based on the short time I have ridden on my new tires, I am very happy with how they ride. In the end, the misinformation, mismanagement and bullying behavior of the dealership cost me an additional $249.00

During those two weeks, I had been communicating with Justin Culhane, who told me that once the vehicle was available, I could come see it. The dealership knew I was specifically coming in to look at that car. I came in expecting to see the 2022 Toyota RAV4 listed on their website for $31,994. Instead, when I arrived, I was informed that the vehicle had already been sold. I was then shown a 2023 Toyota RAV4 in the exact same trim and color for $36,000 instead. Had I been informed beforehand that the original vehicle was no longer available, I would not have made the trip. Expecting a customer to suddenly increase their budget by $4,000-$5,000 after arriving at the dealership is unreasonable and extremely frustrating. I felt, and still feel, very deceived by the lack of communication and the inability to negotiate anywhere remotely close to the price of the vehicle I originally came to see. This experience felt very much like a bait-and-switch tactic, and it left a terrible impression. I worked with Justin Culhane and John Faucett, and unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning.
