I have been wanting to try this spot for a while after hearing such great things. We stopped by for lunch and had the tastiest sandwich and flatbread. The quality of meat and cheese and subtle sweetness of the balsamic glaze mixed with the fresh arugula was out of this world. And the texture of the fresh bread was perfection. The super thin pepperoni on the flatbread were so delicious and the sauce had a subtle sweetness flavor. There were tons of options I can't wait to try again and a bakery case full of treats. They serve breakfast too which looked amazing. We especially enjoyed the vibes on the outdoor sidewalk seating with Italian music playing as we enjoyed our food. Because this spot is in the historic downtown area of Clermont, street parking is your best bet and there is a public parking lot a short walk away. Excellent Italian deli in downtown Clermont. For my first meal here I ended up sharing a turkey sandwich with my brother who does not eat pork where because of this the sandwich was tad on the basic side for my taste. Having said that, the sandwich was still well-made and quite tasty where all the ingredients were fresh and the bread was still warm and appeared to be fresh baked in house. Nice! If I was eating this sandwich by myself, I would've asked for bacon on the sandwich, which definitely would have made it a top shelf turkey sandwich in my opinion. Being an Italian deli, the majority of the sandwiches do use pork of one kind or another where they looked and sounded quite tasty with a number of house specialties on the menu. Small deli with huge flavors in downtown Clermont. They have counter ordering with a few tables inside and other tables set up outside around the corner building. The staff was all very friendly and shared information about the food and just very friendly overall. I had the turkey BLT, but switched it out for grilled chicken and it was delicious. I loved that the bread was soft and not very filling. My youngest had the prosciutto and burrata sandwich (Prosciutto de parma 2) and the oldest had the caprese sandwich. Both also really enjoyed their food items. After dinner they had the Bischoff ice cream and we took home a Bischoff croissant, Bischoff donut, and Bischoff cheesecake (do you see the theme here??) We went inside and ordered and were given a buzzer to notify us when our order was ready. The vibe is super casual Italian deli atmosphere. While waiting, we hung around outside to wait for a table to become available, and luckily one did. Within about 15 minutes our food was ready. My husband ordered the super Tuscany and I ordered the muffelata sandwich. The bread is served warm and the meat and toppings inside are cold. Our bill fir all of this was $65.20 before tip so this isn't an inexpensive lunch fir three people...however it's a tasty and quality lunch. Service was pretty quick and we received our order pretty quick. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Inside there are three tables fir four and two tables fir 2 people. We dined starting around 2:45 pm and there was a line to order to the door after we walked in. We were lucky to get a table inside. That's great but with so many people inside without tables waiting fir their orders, it felt crowded fir us. They have deserts (cakes, pastries, gelato) and several packaged Italian products. I came here twice when they had just opened, and this was my third visit after several months. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the food this time. I ordered the Parma prosciutto sandwich, and I can say with confidence that it did not seem like authentic Parma prosciutto. I say this because I am originally from the area in Italy where Parma prosciutto is produced, so I know very well how it should taste. If it was authentic, then it was clearly not fresh. It tasted like prosciutto that had been sliced long before serving and left in the refrigerator too long. It was overly salty, and combined with the balsamic vinegar, it created a bitter, unpleasant flavor. I only managed to eat three bites before I couldn't continue. I left more than three quarters of the sandwich on the plate. To be fair, the atmosphere and the service were good. However, this used to be a place where the food genuinely tasted very good, which is why this visit was so disappointing. If you are going to advertise something as Italian, especially Parma prosciutto, it should be authentic and served fresh.
