We brought our sweet and strong willed puppy here for a 4 week boarding program. He's a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Gunnar and we struggled mainly with him jumping on people, being protective near other dogs and listening to us in distracting situations. I'm a professional runner so I also wanted to start the process of him running some miles with me. We missed him terribly but when we picked him up from his long term boarding, he was a different dog. Cosmic Canine and their team worked with us to teach us the commands, help us work with him off leash and he was even able to run 2 miles with me without going after squirrels and other dogs! We still have to work with him every day on what we want from him but we are able to manage his high energy personality through the training we learned at Cosmic Canine. I can't express how grateful I am to Maya, Craig, and the entire Cosmic Canine team for what they were able to do for my dogs. My 4-year-old Staffordshire Terrier, Jack, had always been nervous around strange dogs, but recently his behavior worsened and he began reacting aggressively and lashing out dangerously at home with our other dogs. He and my young male, Grimm, were unable to be in the same room without a full-on explosive brawl, and we had to keep them separated with multiple doors between them at all times. It got to the point where we were unable to leave the house with Jack at all -- even for walks. If he so much as thought he saw another dog, he would lunge aggressively, growl, snarl, and foam at the mouth. It was scary. He's a powerful dog, and I was not equipped to maintain control over him during one of these aggressive episodes. Our situation was truly dire, and I needed urgent help before someone ended up badly hurt -- or worse. Jack and Grimm both attended Cosmic Canine's board-and-train program, and I am absolutely thrilled to report that they are now able to live peacefully with each other. Jack is able to remain completely relaxed on walks around our busy neighborhood, even when exposed to some pretty big distractions and former triggers. Under the watchful eyes of Craig, Maya, and the Cosmic Canine team Jack was able to build his confidence, learn appropriate reactions, and maintain his cool in new situations -- all things that were difficult or impossible for him before. Meanwhile, Grimm was able to learn some solid manners and shake off old puppy habits; he's now walking well on a leash, is a better listener, and understands how to give Jack his space without overwhelming him with excited puppy energy. Together, Jack and Grimm learned how to coexist harmoniously, and today they are able to take walks together, eat together, take naps together, and practice obedience together without anxiety or fear. I still almost can't believe my eyes when I see them casually hanging out, and *choosing* to be in the same room together -- this is HUGE. Before his training program, Jack nearly broke through a solid wood door to get to Grimm, and tonight they ate their dinners 3 feet from each other and then both went outside for a relaxed walk. Jack's reactivity and fear-aggression will require a lifetime of careful management and supervision; Cosmic Canine gave me the tools, knowledge, and support to ensure that I can confidently give my dogs happy, full, and peaceful lives together. read more

I have never written a bad review, but I want to help other dog owners avoid all the repercussions I'm facing after leaving my dogs here. Protect your dogs and avoid cosmic canines at all costs. I'm SHOCKED they do not have more bad reviews. This dog training facility is extremely unprofessional, disrespectful, and negligent to the dogs. My dogs left cosmic canine with a virus after staying one week! My dogs are sneezing red/brown/dark yellow mucus, and coughing non-stop. They also lied to me about the training that would be used for my dogs. I found out through Instagram that my dog was using an e-collar and prong collar instead of a gentle lead. They dodged all my calls and never returned my voicemails. One of my dogs wasn't anxious before, and now she screams and throws everything on the ground in public. My other dog wasn't human aggressive before, and now he lunges and tries to bite every human he sees. I was horrified when he randomly lunged at a person and tried to bite their back. read more

Cosmic Canine changed my life. I had two small dogs most of my adult life & they both passed a year & two years ago, respectively. I had already adopted a stray, Jessee, a shepard mix and the first "big" dog I had ever owned. She was five months & a bit of a handful at first but finally fit in well with my little pack. She grew up with my little dogs until they passed. When they passed, I decided Jessee needed a companion and adopted another female German Shepard mix. Both were three, shepard mixes, and both females. I was so happy to welcome Lillee into her forever home. I had no qualms about handling dogs. After all, I had a trusting vet & years of experience. Boy was I in for a big surprise! My adopted dog Lillee had trauma issues of her own and after a while, she began picking on Jessee & attacking her. I had no idea what to do, I just knew I did not have the expertise to handle the situation & ensure they were both safe. For a couple months, i tried everything, contacted numerous rescue groups & shelters in an effort to find Lillee a new home, but no one would take an "aggressive dog". However, at the same time my heart was breaking. I did not want to give up on Lillee.. most of the time she was such a sweet & loving soul. I had also hired a couple of trainers in a desperate attempt for help & to keep Lillee in her forever home. But that wasn't working either. I finally stumbled upon Cosmic Canine & sent yet another message with a desperate plea for help. The owner Maya immediately contacted me and told me she could help and had successfully rehabbed many dogs over the years. In talking to Maya, I could tell she had a genuine interest, wanted to help & calmed my fears. I had finally found an answer to my prayers. Shortly thereafter, both dogs were in the board & train program. Craig was their primary trainer & did an excellent job with both dogs. It's been a couple months now that my girls have been back home & I'm amazed at their transformation. Now they both play together & are the best of friends. Jessee's little mischievous personality is back & there is now peace in my home. The girls love going for booster trainings & get so excited when they visit. Maya and her team trained my high-energy large dog well. If it were not for them, I don't know if I would have been able to keep my dog, she was just too uncontrollable. The CC team worked with me to help me understand the way my dog thinks and behaves, and how my behavior affects the result I want to see. I highly recommend Cosmic Canine, and am so grateful that they were there for me at a critical time. The dog I adopted truly has a heart of gold, but as a stray, just had no understanding for the structure of household living. My trained dog, my other dog, and I now happily live together, and I fully credit Maya and the Cosmic Canine staff for all their work to help that result come to be. We were unsure of what to expect from Cosmic Canine. We dropped our puppy (a 17 week old Sheepadoodle) off with apprehension. She is a sweet dog but high energy and needs a lot of attention. What we picked up was an angel the was well behaved and well trained. My wife and I literally sat there with our jaws gaping open as the trainer showed us what our pup learned. They also spent time making sure we were prepared to continue the training once we got home. We still spend daily training time with her and she has continued to get even better. Our pup, Calix, completed the month long board and train and has made a complete 360. Calix had a hard time with separation anxiety prior to his stay. We had tried various kinds of kennels and he always found a way out. We would then come home to a wreck of a house because of this. Calix's manners and commands were not very consistent as well. Finally, after months of trying everything we could to help him, he found Cosmic Canine. We are soooooo PROUD of all of Calix's accomplishments, all thanks to cosmic canine. I was the only one in my class for manners 1. I was looking for an obedience class, maybe they have a different way of teaching. Trainer Lauren is good though, I would recommend her. Cosmic Canine did an excellent job training our 8 month old Doberman, Lincoln!!!! We enrolled Lincoln in the advanced obedience training for the full four weeks course with boarding. The results have been amazing!!!! Lincoln in calmer, confident and consistently follows verbal commands. The follow up classes to train us (the owners) and reinforce Lincoln's training was invaluable. At first, I thought the follow up sessions would be inconvenient and unnecessary. However, it has allowed us to reinforce Lincoln's training and get a better understanding if we had questions regarding the full execution of all verbal commands. We have become super confident in our ability to manage our sweet Lincoln. Walking him is easy. He obeys and enjoys following commands! Though Lincoln is now an obedient puppy, he still has his sweet and spunky personality. My husband and I are so glad we chose Cosmic Canine (we researched several dog trainings). They made a believer out of a skeptic. We had a new lab puppy that was really out of control in the house (I know, shocking..) and making things pretty challenging at home. My wife found Cosmic Canine's board and train program and admittedly, I thought it sounded a little too go to be true. We spoke with Maya about what we were facing and decided that we didn't have a lot of other options, so we did it. I was fully expecting to feel like I got ripped off when we went to pick up our dog 4 weeks later. I WAS NOT. Yes, It is very expensive. But it is also worth every single penny. What left as a crazy out of control pup who was ruining our house came back as and a calm, well behaved lab capable of being off lease and a actually listening to us. He's a you g lab, so he's still no angle, but the difference is - we can mange it now. We could t before. There are several videos out there that Stan (trainer) has taken of Cash (black lab) in our follow up visits that demonstrate just how big a transformation we experienced. And just to be clear, Cash was not one of those easy, well behaved dogs that just needed a good trainer. Cash is very strong willed, has a very hard time with impulse control and very thick headed - but they still got through and made it click for him. I wouldn't think twice about handing over another $2500 when its time to find Cash a sibling. read more

This is the first time I have ever written a review, but I was so disappointed with Cosmic Canine that I created an account just to speak up. I skipped their "puppy kindergarten" and signed up for their "super puppy" class. First of all, this class was cancelled 3 times and ended up starting a month later than the date I signed up for. Then, when I got to the class they told me I needed to use a "head collar" on my dog because she was aggressive (5-mo old puppy in class for the first time, barked before classes started but did not lunge at or otherwise show aggression towards any of the other dogs). The class itself was way to simple and easy- we literally learned nothing new the entire time. Both my dog and I were bored to death by the end of each class. Moreover, the classes start late, end early, and there are breaks in-between. Lastly, the staff are not at all cooperative or helpful. I had to miss two classes because of school and was told that there was no way that I could make up the lost time in training. I would NOT recommend Cosmic Canine to anyone. Youre better off spending your time and money on books and training at home. I would give 0 stars if I could, but thats not an option. read more
