I visited Cosmic Comics on my way home yesterday and I had an absolutely great experience. After reading up on some of my fav characters, I decided to look into reading comics. As someone who knew barely anything at all, I was a bit overwhelmed and lost while looking through their selection (which is very well presented and organized). Nick, an employee there, was so helpful in assisting me as I looked for certain titles, explaining how comic cycles work, and how their store operates. They even checked their back stock to see if they had certain issues I was seeking! My fav comic shop I have ever attempted to look through. I even signed up for their really cool subscription plan! TERRIBLE SERVICE - Won't Be Back FIRST - I walked in and the person behind the counter just stared at me. No "Hi," no "Hello," no "How can I help you"... NOTHING. I had to introduce myself and explain I was there to inquire about selling some Pokémon cards. He then told me they only buy in bulk. Fine - I actually came in with a huge collection plus a rare Dragonite V Alternate Art 192/203 (Evolving Skies Full Art Alt Art). SECOND - I asked if he wanted to at least look at the rare card. He declined without hesitation, then added that shops "only pay 20%-30% of the value." That is completely FALSE. THIRD - After all of this, I said "okay" and wrapped it up. But was I thanked for coming in? Was I told "have a good day" or even a simple "bye"? Nope. Just another blank stare. This shop clearly does not value its customers or show even the bare minimum of courtesy. Even if they don't want to purchase something, the least they could do is provide basic customer service. Instead, I walked away feeling disrespected and dismissed. Absolutely awful experience. read more

Was driving by and decided to check this place out when I passed. This is a cool comic and toy shop with a little bit of everything. I'm more of a comic head so that was my focus. They had new and vintage floppies, covering publishers from Marvel to Image, however they had no books. They had plenty of toys and lots of random funko pops from various media. Staff was fast with my checkout, but otherwise unobtrusive. Definitely worth another visit! read more

They have LOTS of comics, not all new. Many golden age comics as well. The staff is Knowledgeable and friendly. They also have many non-comic collectibles too and seem to be reasonably priced. read more

Gotta update my review. Three years after my last review Cosmic Comics is still #1 in my book. They're my first stop every time I'm looking for a book or collectible. The staff is still friendly, professional, and you can tell they really care about the people who walk in the door. They recently updated the look of the inside too and I love it. Still meticulously organized with some new cool art on the walls. I'm so thankful Cosmic Comics is still alive and well during these tough times. Be sure to swing by and show your support. This place is old school and brilliant. Comic prices are very good. Mike the owner is awesome. 30 seconds into the conversation I'd already learned something new about comic book covers. Looking for a place to drop off some of my old comics to get graded by the CGC, I stumbled upon Cosmic Comics. They were the best option since Fort Worth does not have any comic vendors that offer CGC grading and we had to drive to Dallas that day anyways, so it made a lot of sense. Walking in, this place brought back memories. For those who collected comics as a kid like I did, this place is untouched by time, set up like all those comic and collectibles shops we loved to go to in the 80's and 90's. The proprietor is cool and very knowledgeable and I enjoyed talking with him about how the comics industry has changed and what things are trending now compared to when I collected comics as a kid. While I was at it, they have a great selection of current comics as well as a good stock of older comics, so I went ahead and took a trip down memory lane and grabbed a few new comics from my favorite titles as a youth to put with my order. I'll also note that this place was very popular with the Magic and RPG crowd, so if that is your thing, also another good reason to check this place out. I'll definitely be stopping by should I need to drop off more of my old comics to get graded, or if I just want to take another stroll down memory lane. read more

One of the best shops around hands down! Huge selection of comics, cards and collectibles. There's also room in the middle of the shop so you and your friends or even other customers you jut met can play/duel against each other. The owner Mike is really cool and knows his stuff! A Comic Shop sells more than just comics - it sells the concept of Third Place, and it does it well. If you're someone who just wants to casually pick up and issue or two every now and then, Cosmic Comics is a welcoming enough place and the staff are friendly enough that you won't feel unwelcome...there are no Simpsons "Comic Book Guy" types here. However, if you're a regular, you are treated like family, and that goes a long way towards getting my business. Great staff and great prices. Probably the nicest and accommodating owner of the dfw comic shops. Parking can be tricky during the weekend due to tournaments but you can just park in the back. They carry all the different trading card games, sports cards, statues, and of course comics with great selection. read more
