They are closed on Mondays so plan ahead. They accept walk ins as well! They were super nice when I called ahead to ask about pricing and if I could walk in for my first visit. The most solid treading salon in Hicksville is, unfortunately, in the most difficult place to park - but don't let that deter you. This spot has been around for decades, pretty sure this is the first place I ever had my eyebrows done back in high school (so we're talking at least 20 years). This salon is clean, welcoming, and no frills. But who needs lemon water when you have precise threading services done quickly at affordable prices, am I right? I came here on a Friday night and there was a bit of a wait, maybe 15 minutes or so. Before I knew it in was in the chair and hair was flying off my face as my threader worked quickly and diligently to get all the fuzz of my lip and give my eye brows more shape. In retrospect, I should've asked for just a clean up - she really went in! They came out a little thinner than I typically like, but that's on me for not speaking up. I'm so happy that I found a new threading salon that is reasonably priced. In NYC, I've paid up to $10 for a thread but Cosmo charges $8! They are closed on Monday's but accept walk-ins. If you sign up for their loyalty program, you will get notified of discounts. They also charge $45 for a haircut so I may give them a try in the future! read more

I've been looking for a place to get threaded at for awhile and finally decided to try this place out. I went in and waited no more than 5 minutes. I asked for a clean up, no shaping since I wasn't sure how everything would come out. I was pretty happy with what I left with. She did put extra attention to some areas, but when I got home, I realized there were still some strays. I've done threading for years and there's always strays of some sort. I needed a clean up bad and for $6, I couldn't complain. Yes, I will be back, but I will also be on the hunt for some other places in the area. read more

I definitely would not recommend getting your eyebrows tinted here. I went to get my eyebrows threaded and tinted and wound up paying $45. This is absolutely ridiculous when other places charge $10 for tinting she made me download an app to save three dollars. read more

The workers are always in a hurry to get you out even if no one is in the store. In the morning they are more concerned about stocking up for the day than the customers. They talk to each other and not focused on their job. Walked in for an eyebrow clean up because I liked my eyebrows thicker and ended up losing 30% of my eyebrow hair. They blame me for not being specific. That it was my fault they took off too much hair. At the end one eyebrow is thinner than the other and they called it "perfect" and wouldn't even offer anything to make up for it and insisted that they are not at fault. read more

She's so accommodating - I can get appointments whenever I need them (usually open 10-8 except Mondays) so you can get things done the day of, before or after work! I've come to appreciate so many things about coming here - not only is she knowledgeable in hair removal but also hair/skin care in general. My first time threading. They're quick. The prices are good too. The lower rating is because my eyebrows were mismatched and I don't like thin eyebrows so I just have to wait for it to grow back (and draw in the meantime). I told her not to shape my eyebrows and just to clean around them but one of my brows definitely has a arch that the other doesn't have. On the plus side, they wax quickly and painlessly. read more

Cutting ties with Cosmo as my eyebrows have been coming out really uneven and way too thin after each visit. Even after specifying just to clean them up and please don't make them thin. The wait was also starting to get lengthy at times if both women were working on other client's haircuts. The place is cheap, but unfortunately it isn't worth it for my eyebrows. Came here for the first time today on a whim to get my eyebrows threaded (as the girl who normally does mine just had a baby thus I had to find a new place to go) and was very pleased. Shareen (sp?) was quick and easy and did a wonderful job on my brows. It was also half the price of the place I usually go to and is closer to home. #winning Also watched a woman get her hair blown out while I waited and the stylist did a great job.
