While it was a simple purchase, I appreciated that the Dude checked and monitored that the replacement charger worked, inspected my phone, and then identified a minute yet reasonable flaw in my original charger. I have not written a yelp review for a long time. This place made me want to so here it is. This place is clean, friendly, and located in a plaza with stores to shop at while you wait. That's a plus. Before I came in I called to see if they had an iphone5. I had broke my phone due to an unforgettable night where i dont remember anything. i woke up the next morning trying to get my backup phone to work but it wouldnt charge since the battery was water damaged. They told me they had an iphone5 with 32gigs and it was a white one! yay! i drove to pasadena to pick up this phone. it was in mint condition but the phone wasn't wiped so i had to wait 30 mins for them to wipe it. thats fine since i walked around the mall and did some shopping. i went back, they sold me the phone, gave me a free charger and a free case. so far so good! i'm a happpy customer! they promised me the phone was unlocked so i drove to tmobile and bought a new sim card because i didnt have a nano one for the iphone. then i find out the phone wasn't unlocked...and i couldnt use it... and i just drove here, dealt with pasadena parking, paid $20 for a sim card...and i dont have a phone. i drive back to COSMO and showed them the phone. they were willing to work with me, refunded me the money, gave me a battery for my backup phone and a nano sim adapter so my backup phone would work till i get another phone. All the while i was giving them a bad attitude cuz i was really annoyed at this process. overall i would give them 5 stars for customer service but someone there has to have an iphone...it wouldve been helpful if they tested out the phone before selling it? Will probably change my rating after another chance to do business with them. P.S. prices here are fair. an USB charger is $20, a case is around there and up. They had the iphone5 at $500 and an S4 for $500 also. read more

Brought my Samsung Galaxy S4 after dropping it and cracking the top portion of my screen. Actually, before I even brought it in, I called them after reading all the great reviews here on Yelp. The person on the phone gave me a fair estimate, explained how they fix it and informed me that in some cases they may price-match. They were just very informative and thorough on top of being very polite and helpful. When I brought it in, the staff was very upfront about the risks and policies, which I appreciated, and the phone was done within the one-to-two hour time frame they gave me. Great job on the fix! I had damaged the LCD a bit in cracking the screen so they pointed it out and explained to me how it occurred. Barely even noticeable, I wouldn't have noticed it if they hadn't pointed it out, but I appreciated it. Besides that, the screen looks perfect! My only gripe is that I also purchased a bumper (to hopefully protect my phone from my clumsy self in the future) and four days later, the bumper is already cracked. I haven't dropped it since but I did remove the bumper a couple of times because of some unrelated issues I've been having with my phone (Ever since the new Android system update, my phone has been overheating and shutting off pretty frequently if I have a couple of programs open. Anyone else experiencing that???) I don't know the brand of the bumper that I purchased but as far as the store's service (customer and technical), this place is top notch! I would most definitely come here again and recommend it to everyone! read more

A few days ago I dropped my phone and thought nothing of it until I picked up the phone later and was horrified to find that the screen was badly shattered. I immediately looked on Yelp and saw the positive reviews for COSMO. I called and was told exactly what they would do to repair the screen and given two prices depending on the placement and depth of the breakage. I told Michelle that if it turned out that I needed the more expensive repair, I would use my Verizon phone insurance and get a new phone, which I really did not want to do. I took the phone in and a couple hours later I got a call - the phone was already repaired and ready to pick up. I went back to COSMO, and my phone looked brand new. Amy informed me that my case did not provide adequate protection and suggested I buy one of their cases. I told her that I had ordered one online. She was so concerned that her work would be ruined that she gave me a nice case to use until I received the one I ordered. She also put a screen protector on my phone. I am very impressed with this place and with Amy. I hope that I do not need another phone repair, but if I do, I will not even think twice about going anywhere other than COSMO. read more

Perfect customer service, but beware, they do not cover their repairs after 90 days. My repaired/replaced item went bad on the 91st day. And Cosmo could not do anything about it unless I paid the full price for repairing it again. read more

I took my old iPhone 3s to this place a few months back to see if I could get a new battery for it. He kept it over night and I picked it up the next day with him telling me it could not be fixed. The phone was in excellent physical shape as it had never been without a case from the day I purchased the phone. I recently examined the phone again to discover that he had most likely swapped out my phone or some its parts with some other phone or at least the back which was now completely cracked and the places where the screws go were broken out. I thought maybe I was wrong until I pulled out the old SIM card and found that it was not my SIM card that was in this phone in fact my SIM card as well as its holder was still loose in the bag I had brought it to him in. So while I can't prove it officially, the evidence is pretty convincing that there was something underhanded done. Looks like he maybe swapped out some of my parts to use on a working phone he may have had in the shop. Not sure I would trust this place... Buyer beware. read more

Service was OK. Nothing special. On the first repair attempt, they replaced the glass on my iPhone but this left "bubbles" near the top of the screen. Brought the phone back and they had to replace the entire LCD screen. Charged me the difference for the repair as they credited what I had already spent on the glass replacement. However, the fact that I had to bring the phone back was inconvenient. Overall satisfied with the repairs in the long run, but the service was not great. Staff was not necessarily friendly or apologetic. read more

after shattering my screen I stopped by after work and was greeted by Jessica. She's the best I swear she explained to me how quick it would be to replace the screen and yup sure enough 20 minutes later as she promised my phone was fixed. While at the store she sold me on their iPhone cases which has been put to the test since I always drop my phone and I have not broken this one. My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to repair her iPhone screen that was starting to lift off the body. I've had this problem before with my phone and was quoted between $100-$150 for a screen replacement at other stores. We went into Cosmo and were helped by Sean who was extremely friendly and insightful. He examined the phone screen and determined the safest solution would be to replace the screen, which he quoted at $65 but was willing to do it for $50 for us!! Even though we decided to replace the screen through the phones warranty, Sean was nice enough to put adhesive as a temporary fix to keep the phone safe until then, with no charge at all. Would highly recommend this establishment. Never been to a repair shop with such a knowledgeable staff with such reasonable prices. Definitely coming back for all my phone needs in the future.
