The whole process from start to finish took less than an hour, the data port was shorting out, I thought they would need to replace the Mother board, but they were able to resolder the port. Went into COSMO earlier this week due to some kind of internal problem with my phone. if I could rate it less than one star , I would. I have never had such a horrible experience in my life. I came in with my iPhone 6s plus because the screen was broken and they told me it would be $160 because I needed a new LCD. When I agreed the person helping me tested out that my phone worked fine. He checked my thumb lock and that it was responding fine to his touch and it was all fine, he even wrote it down in their paper work. my phone worked great other than the fact that the screen was cracked. When he was done "fixing" my phone i paid and left. As soon as I got in the car I noticed my phone wasn't responding to my thumb print. it wouldn't unlock I had to manually enter the code. Then some parts of the screen wouldn't respond to my touch and it made texting impossible. the next day I went back in and explained the problem to a women named Jessica. She took my phone and said she would change the screen once more. mind you, I live an hour away and was only in pasadena for work so i had to drive all the was out again and wait another hour for her to change my screen. After she changed the screen she tells me that the phone still isn't responding to the thumb print but that it should respond to my touch. She then proceeded to tell me that I need to update my phone and that maybe that was the problem. I go home, update my phone, still nothing. The next day I call back and they tell me "bring your phone in again and we will change the screen for you one more time." for $160 I shouldn't have to go in 3 times to get it "fixed". I explain to Jessica that I live too far and I cannot drive out there everyday and spend and hour waiting for them and then still have my phone not work. I tell her I just want my money back and Ill just buy a new phone she then tells me no because I have their product. Your product doesn't work! I tell her then what do I have to do? Jessica tells me I have to wait for another iPhone 6s plus to come in and I have to come in again and get my screen changed one more time with a broken screen and then i would get my money back because they already threw away my old screen. On the receipt there is a 90 day warranty but that obviously don't mean anything to them. I didn't get my money back and my phone doesn't work. I would really appreciate some type of call or anything from someone other than the store manager Jessica who didn't do anything for me at all and took my money with no problem. The have the worst customer service and I will NEVER go there again and I will advice anyone else to just take your phone to apple. read more

MARK MY WORDS: This place is horrible, I had such a bad experience. Walked in to get a piece soldered on to my iphone 4 (for the battery to work). First they aren't sure if they can do it, and they have me wait half an hour in the store. Then they say they need more time and they'll call me when they finish. Next day I get a call, everything is ready to go, they say the soldering is good but it's very fragile (????). I get home, immediately plug it in and wait 8 hours. I check the phone: NO CHARGE, NOT 1%. I remember because they gave it to me with 13% battery (I'm guessing they couldn't get it to charge either). That's the condition I got it back in; poor connection with the battery because it WASN"T charging, therefore the soldering WAS NOT DONE RIGHT, IT NEVER WAS. I take it back in the next day and explain it's a bad connection and they take it back and continue working on it. The next day they say THEY CAN"T FIX IT NOW, it's IMPOSSIBLE to do, and they offer me a used iphone at a discount. I decline, and wish to have the $66 I paid them for a service I NEVER RECEIVED. They refused but offered $25 store credit to their bogus store. I'm furious, I received nothing for $66; I don't know how they can justify not giving a refund. on top of that they tried to blame me for the reason they couldn't give a refund; when i asked for a refund AMY said I had removed the connection myself (not true) and they already did the soldering i paid for (not true, it wasn't done properly: IT NEVER CHARGED). I feel like I got ripped off, I really regret coming here. and also, i just remembered, when I first went in they said 1 of the connections to solder was bad (which I do not recall, it looked clean and intact when I brought it in). By the last call they gave me it was 2 bad connections. SO they actually made it worse. Unfix-able.They said it would be impossible to do 2 bad connections, And that was all they could do, so I just told them to recycle the phone.. So yeah, I ended up without a phone, loosing $66, and having to make 3 trips to Paseo old pasadena for nothing. Conclusion: 0/5 stars , I would not recommend coming here; shady business. Especially for a fix that isn't as easy to do, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST, CANNOT BE TRUSTED. read more

Do not take your phone to them. They do knot know how to fix a phone!! My daughter brought in an I phone to have the screen replaced and they did not place the speaker back in properly which caused the screw not to be screwed in securely. The floating screw then short circuited the whole phone. When she called multiple times while I was listening on the other end the lady kept talking in circles, refusing to allow her to talk to the manager until she was able to get the manager to refuse to accept the facts presented by another, better qualified repair shop that opened the phone and saw the screw just floating around and the speaker miss aligned and missing a screw. They closed the phone and told us that COSMO's employee did a half ass job and fried the phone. The employee that broke the phone continued to block my daughters effort to resolve the issue. Then was down right manipulative and deceitful lying to her manager or looks more like her relative. These employees are reckless, sloppy, unprofessional, rude and unskilled. Gorillas can do a better job at both fixing phones and costumer service. Hell if they were not so shitty at fixing phones they would need little costumer service skills. read more

I came today to fix my Samsung galaxy S 3.. i was so depressed because its screen has been broken for almost 2 weeks and so many places refused to fix it since it was an international version, or many other places asked for a higher price to order the international version for me and a longer time ( 3-7 days for the screen to arrive).. i found them yesterday night on yelp and called them first day in the morning, and the guy John was so friendly, he told me that if the screen isn't in stock he will get it for me right away from one of his vendors.. and that what happened... i left my phone, went for some shopping in Paseo mall.. and in less than 2 hours they called me and told me that my phone is ready... they even didn't charge me fees for same day repair.. other stores asked for extra fees for that... i have been using the phone for 5 hours now and its functioning perfect.. they also give 90 days warranty.. so i dont have to worry about anything. Cosmo was awesome! I dropped my phone head first on concrete and the top portion of my screen was pretty shattered. Brought it in and they could have fixed it in about an hour but were flexible when i asked if I could come back to pick up the phone after work. Reasonable prices and they have a pretty good selection of accessories. Everyone was really helpful and hopefully I don't break my phone again anytime soon; but if I do need a repair, Cosmo is definitely where I'll go! read more

This team KNOWS what Customer Service is all about! My 3 yr old son broke my iPad. The first time I visited Cosmo, they treated me with such care. I was already a very happy camper. But about two weeks later, my son broke the screen AGAIN! I'm just a hustling single mother. I know the accountability was on me, as the customer, that my child broke the screen again. But, because I was treated so warmly with my initial interaction with the Cosmo team, I felt inclined to ask them for mercy. I have never asked for this type of favor; and I accept accountability for this. But, because I simply could not afford to replace the screen again, I thought it couldn't hurt to ask. The Cosmo team was kind enough to work with me when they didn't have to. They could have thrown a bunch of policy guidelines at me and sent me on my way. Came in with a Groupon to fix a shattered iPhone screen. Called for an appointment and the man was very nice. He verified the phone version I had to make sure he had the part. I didn't know whether I had an iPhone 4 or 4s, so he made sure to set aside parts for both phones until I could call back later to confirm. This place is a God send!! I dropped my Samsung Galaxy S4 and cracked the glass (while in its case too!-still not sure how that was possible). I found this place on Yelp, and also found a groupon for my glass repair which helped; it was about $80 at the end of it all. I have insurance too but that would have cost me $100 + time waiting for a new phone. ANYWHO-The guy who helped me was very informative and nice, he was up front about the possibilities of when they go in to remove the cracked glass the tiny shards could damage the LCD and they could replace it but it would cost more-he said it was unlikely but he had to let me know. I took my chances and got the glass repaired. He also let me know the glass they use for all their products is OEM. If I ever have this problem again I will definitely be back. It only took about 2.5 hours to replace the glass, not bad considering the alternative!! I dropped my phone off and went to the gym! LOVE THIS PLACE! read more

Broke my screen and decided that I wasn't going to fix it because I couldn't find any place that would do it less than $110 so I accepted the crack. Then one lovely evening I was scrolling through Groupon and found Cosmo repair! They repaired it for only $95 and even threw in a heavy duty screen protector! The person who helped me out was Zack, he was honest and assured me that my phone was in good hands. The store is located in a really nice area so if you drop off your phone you could walk around grab a drink or lunch and your phone will be done before you know it! Please give them your business! They are so professional and so awesome - words cannot convey how I feel about them but I will try. First, the staff (sorry I didn't get your name at first, but she was asian) was super friendly and looked up how much it would be to fix the screen of my daughter's iPod Touch 4th generation. She told me it would be $89.99 regularly, but that there was a promo price that she could offer for that day. Problem was, I didn't have the iPod Touch with me. Well, she asked her Manager, Amy, and Amy said that she could honor the promo price if I paid that day and just returned the next day with the iPod Touch. Normally, I don't like paying upfront. But her sales associate and Amy herself was giving out such a cool vibe that I said "okay", paid and made an appointment to come back the next day at 11 am. Amy said she would leave all the information for Ben, the technician, and that it should only take about 2 hrs. That afternoon I was shopping about town when I get a phone call. It's Cosmo- confirming my appt for the next day- even though I just left them that afternoon! wow! Nice & professional. The next day I arrive back at Cosmo and meet Ben, the technician. He confirms everything that Amy said, takes my device and I go off to meander around Pasadena for 2 hrs (didn't want to waste gas going back to La Crescenta, parking etc). Within the 2 hr mark I get a call from Ben who informs me that the LCD on the iPod Touch isn't responding and he has to change it but doesn't have a black interface but he has a white one. I approve changing the interface and Ben says it'll take another 30 mins. After 30 mins, and after exhausting all the shops around Paseo, I go back to the store where I meet George. Now, George is uber-professional. Goes and checks on my device. Then very nicely informs me that the white interface wasn't responding like Ben thought it would- so Ben went and got the black interface and would be back shortly. All delivered in such a professional, empathizing way. So even though it didn't take 2 hrs as they first told me it would, their professionalism, plus how they make it up to you, is really what would make me come back here. Oh, and how great they fixed my daughter's device. It looked so good I wanted to keep it for myself :) ..... they fix all devices so bring your cell phones, iPods, iPads, tablets etc. And don't forget to ask about their "spray screen protectors" thingee...I don't really know how it works but it looks awesome on the iPod touch. read more
