Let's see where to begin, food was good. Beer was was a hassle to order. Understaffed,only two waitress the older gal is not to kind still tipped her. Love this place. The happy hour was totally a steal and included things like fried zucchini's, mozzarella sticks, onion rings and so much more. The beer of the day was amazing but even if it wasn't there are tons of other options for beers. Delicious IPAs and knowledgeable servers who can give a decent recommendation. I went with a large party and the large table accommodations are fun and unique. They have tables with combo seating including chairs on one side and a couch on another. Our table felt like I was in King Arthur's court. It was a giant dining room table that allowed me to see everyone. Unlike the skinny narrow tables most restaurants have. Super fun atmosphere. Everyone in the party ordered something different for food. Whether it was a steak, a sandwich, a burger or pasta. Everyone at my table loves their meal and the appetizers would've made up for the dinner if they didn't. This place rocks. Good service too. read more

Natalie, Julio & our lovely bartender made sure our guest were taken care of from start to finish! They were all so very helpful even before the event started! They were fun and approachable and very customer service oriented. All of our guest raved about the venue and what a beautiful location it was!! The food was also the top talk of the night! Ive been coming to metro in the tavern for 4 years as a regular. I asked the new bartender James for an appetizer at 830 he had 2 customers and he said he doesnt serve food. So I had to walk upstairs to order my food Gonzalo brought it down for me. The bartender James was nowhere to be found in the tavern. This is an inconvenience for me as seeing with all the new restaurants in town it seems I may just have to go to them to accommodate me. James was rude and lazy also as I was going to leave I noticed other food was being brought down guess who it was for that's right James funny how he could accommodate himself horrible customer service on his part. read more

I've been here a few times and I have not been disappointed. It has not been crowded when I go so, the food comes out pretty quickly. I usually get a burger and they are delicious but the reason I go back is the delicious zucchini fries. The waitresses are friendly and efficient. Me and my girlfriend absolutely love this place except for one thing , for a dive bar in pomona the beer is over priced I mean c'mon $20 for a pitcher of craft or $8 a glass !?!? But the bartenders are very engaging with the customers and the happy hour is great too. We're glad the bar is literally down the street so that added to my rating. Awesome place, underground bar with pool tables and beer pong table. A lot more space than the other pub across the way. Lots of T.Vs all over. Some of the food can use some help such as the Mac & cheese. I loved the buffalo wings had the taste I was looking for, the sampler was good. The chicken strips were good as well. The dessert bread pudding was delicious drizzled in chocolate. They have good happy hour half price on well drinks and draft beer. The BEST experience EVER! Daniela was AMAZING!! Extremely helpful and was there whenever I needed her. I cant forget the general manager and our host (I forgot his name) but they constantly checked in to see if everything was taken care of and also went out of their way to assist. These people pl le have created an amazing atmosphere! My wedding was absolutely beautiful! I fell in love with all the character of the building! Food also was DELISH! The chef was very friendly and his food was tasty! It was hard to pick what we wanted! To many delicious foods. I could not thank metro ale enough for this amazing experience! Since I work near by, myself and a coworker ate there for lunch. Ordered veggie soup; soup was very salty had to add lots of water, which cooled it down. Diet coke was flat, told waitress, she brought another one still flat but not as much. My coworkers sprite was nothing but carbonated water. My husband and I had lunch today for his birthday, the food was amazing! We also had the pretzel and beer cheese appetizer also amazing. Our server was Mercedes she was awesome!!! She was always checking on us making sure our glasses were full!! I had the chicken pesto sandwich my husband had the buffalo chicken sandwich they were really good.
