When we started our search for a new car we visited several car buying websites and submitted our contact info to get pricing. Immediately the phone started ringing, the emails arrived and the text messages began with salespeople from all over the area wanting our business. Have to say the most persistent of them all (and there were so many) was Steven Collier from Suburban Buick-GMC-Cadillac. He called once or twice a day, texted often and wanted to earn our business so badly we decided he was the salesman for us. He had patiently answered all of our inquiries and when we were ready to buy we visited the dealership and were very pleased with the VIP treatment Steve and actually everyone there gave us. We negotiated a deal we all were pleased with, then sat with Ty the finance manager who was very pleasant and accommodating. Not pushy at all which was so nice. We then sat with Steve in our new automobile as he instructed us on how everything worked before driving off into the evening in our beautiful new vehicle. (after having our photo taken -- nice touch!) The next morning, Steve called to follow up with us to ensure that all was well and that we were happy. Couldn't have asked for a more pleasant car buying experience. We've had the car for a month now, and I thought we had left a Yelp Review but I guess we didn't. They deserve this 5 star review. Getting my car serviced now and I'm in the waiting area. When I arrived, service writers were chatting and I waited while they finished their conversations. Said I had an appt and I was asked who made it. So when I called, my appt was never put on the books. Bring up an email to show the writer I think I have a special price for servicing only to find out it is their normal price. Luckily, I find an email from yesterday for $10 off and the writer applies that.Service writer says I have a recall and I acknowledged and he said they would take care of it if time allowed. My first thought was if the person taking the appt the day before told me they had the parts for my recall I could have scheduled for an earlier time. Writer mentions washing my car and I opt out after the writer tells me that takes the longest if I'm in a hurry. As I sit in the waiting area, I overhear all the car sales men's issues- not interested! They bargain with one of the wash rack guys to wash their cars and now I know why it takes the customers so long to get their cars washed! Best part of this place is the hot beverage machine! Won't be back. Go to pay and not only is my $10 discount applied, but the original cost is more than quote- Bad business. Wait about 10 minutes for the boss to show up and eventually I get out of their. Update: My 2 year old car begins leaking oil hours after I arrive home. Next day I find oil on my newly finished brick driveway. Very frustrated that I have to return to this place. Take my car back to a lame excuse of a faulty part, but i took it by DeLillo for the real story and the "part" wasn't fastened properly. Of course the dealership won't fess up to it, so I won't go back ever. Worst part is I dripped oil on 2 other driveways that used to use this dealer- no more. Oh boy, where to begin...OK so my husband and I have been car shopping for the last couple of weeks all over. We stopped by this dealership since they had a few pre-owned vehicles we wanted to look at. At this point, so far so good. We were greeted by Joseph (Joe) when we pulled up. He brought the keys to the vehicle we were looking at...a Jeep Grand Cherokee, still so far so good...We test drove the car and it was ok, at which time he mentioned that he had just taken up a trade in vehicle that was not available yet, but would be soon and it would be about $12k, so my husband asked "Can we see it?". Joe was more than happy to show it, brought it down, we looked at it and of course it was just traded in, so it was still dirty...no biggie. At this point we were still in the process of selecting a vehicle. Joe said the car would be ready by Weds. once all the proper inspections were completed and the car was cleaned up. We drove away thinking we would be coming back on Weds, but we ended up going back and asking if we could go ahead and look at the numbers since we were still in the area and avoid having to come back if the numbers don't add up. We proceeded to start the paperwork and at this point he brought a paper with a price tag of $15,695 (worse case scenario, but it "won't be that high").....I expressed my concern with such a jump in price, he insisted that it's normal since it was just turned in. We left with the impression that the price would be closer to the original $12k he mentioned. A couple of days pass by, I receive a text from Joe stating they're still working on getting us the deal we were looking for, I asked him to contact my husband since I was not available. He proceeded to contact my husband and all he mentioned was that the car was not ready and would call back the following day. The following day he called again and again just mentioned that the car was still not ready but would be ready by Weds. and he was having a different manager working on the deal and it should be "easier". Finally Weds. comes, the car is not ready, my husband asked if he needed anything from us and he said they had everything they needed. Ok, so Thurs. comes along we receive a call, the car is ready...since we were unable to go, we went Friday. Now here comes the "bait and switch" part. We head over to the dealership, we met with Joseph and Benny (sales manager), they were so happy to shows up the paperwork: $16,550!!!! Not only did the price NOT go down to the "approx. $12k" quoted, but it substantially increased, by over $4k!!!!! At this point, we asked the obvious question "What happened to the original price?" Well, it turns out that Benny had no idea of what we were talking about. I told him we were quoted "about $12k" originally, he replied he had no idea of what I was talking about and where I got that price from. So, I told him, Joseph did...this is when Joe sheepishly raised his hand and said "I did" and had not said anything Benny or anyone else. What type of establishment does that? No communication between the sales rep and the SALES MANAGER??? Benny seriously told my husband "Don't look at me, I didn't quote you that price."!!! We were, of course, extremely upset and felt bamboozled, Joe had us going out there past 7:30 during rush hour just to give us something we did not agree on. He had multiple opportunities to talk about the price change, he actually changed the subject when asked about the price when my husband asked on one of the phone calls. This morning they had the audacity to leave a message telling us how hard they worked on our deal and they would put $500 down for us and how good of a deal we were getting...SMDH! To end our very long story, we ended up going to CarMax in Costa Mesa where we were treading like real customers without the lies, deceit, and they made everything super easy. We purchase a beautiful Cadillac that was actually way better than the vehicle we were planning on getting from there. So, lesson learned, DON'T BELIEVE JOSEPH FLORES FROM BUICK GMC in Costa Mesa. He's very shady and I see that we're not the 1st ones to experience this. Too bad I can't give them a ZERO!!! read more

I came here a couple months ago and was looking for possibility buying a car. The car salesman was really professional and accomadating with our requests. I could decided if I wanted a Buick or Cadillac and I was so iffy about anterior and interior color and additional add ons. I think we walked the whole parking lot getting into at least 20 cars. The salesmen didn't mind. And we drove a couple of cars off the lot for a test drive. At the end, I still was so still iffy about it. And when I asked him what he thought I should choose, he didn't try to sell me the most expensive car. He actually explain why he chose the car and how it applies to my daily use and its efficiency. Although I ended up not getting a car there, which was my first pick, I got a really good deal from my boyfriends family. Very professional. Today I'm back again to service my car and boy! They outbeat a lot of other dealerships I've been to for servicing in the orange county, LA area. (Comparing other GM dealers) I am not car savvy. And Sal was so helpful and understanding. He really made my experience satisfying. Also, the waiting room is not smelly or stuffy. And there is shuttle service! Friendly staff! FRED LOCKETT IS SHADY AND LAZY!! GO TO TUSTIN CADILLAC!!!! I went in for a recall and the service advisor Fred Lockett was so lazy he told me he was unable to help me unless I was in the system (which is weird because I had an appointment with him). Not only did I have an appointment to see him....but he had his head so far up is @$$ that if he would have looked me up he would have realize that I am in the system because I did a fuel injection cleaning service with him before on my CTS. During which, he told me that the repair was covered under warranty, which it wasn't and I ended up paying for the service on some O2 sensor (which he said was covered). He told me he had to order a part for my recall and I haven't heard from the dealership at all (it's been a month). Paul at the service desk is great to work with. My car had a recall and the passenger airbag needed replaced. I hadn't purchased from them nor used them for service previously and yet he treated me with the upmost respect, professionalism, and service. He arranged transportation between the dealer and my office, return transportation a few hours later, and even washed my car. I bought a brand-new Escalade luxury that the factory did not quality control properly and it leaked through the sunroof due to a malfunction. They not only took excellent care of me, while they had to wait for the parts to be sent in from the factory, they put me in a beautiful brand-new Escalade for a loaner. Their customer service is beyond amazing. Jim kept me advised every step of the way as what was going on with my vehicle. Wow....Im reading through all the reviews and wondering if they are reviewing the same dealership. I have always had excellent customer service, from the service department to finance. Big kudos to Jason, Jim and Sal in the service department!!! They have always gone above and beyond. They are your advocates for service. They will fight to get you covered under warranty. I have not had much interaction with Fred but I cant imagine him being that different from the rest. Jane in finance is a miracle worker....Jane is straight forward and honest. I have sat in her office and I hear her on the phone fighting with lenders to get deals done. So if you aren't approved its not because of lack of effort on their part. Lisa is awesome...she always goes out of her way to say hello and ask if there is anything I need. Granted I don't necessarily like the all day experience of waiting and the back n forth, when purchasing a vehicle, but I understand the process. Like any business there are good days, there are bad days and always room for improvement, but in my experience they always make every effort to fix, solve, or rectify the problem. **BEWARE OF SCAM** DO NOT GO HERE FOR NEW OR USED. ASK TO SEE A CURRENT CARFAX REPORT FOR THE DATE. I went in looking to compare the Lexus IS to the Cadillac CTS coupe. After test driving the CTS, I wanted to see what they would offer me for my 2013 Hyundai Elantra. I have near perfect credit, so the deal was really going to be in what they would offer me for my car. At the very beginning of the conversation, I let the salesman know that I had wrecked the car 6 months after ownership. After he got all the basic info, he went to his sales manager to see what they could do. He came back with a ridiculous, even insulting offer. It was clear that they wanted to add my current loan on to the back of this new car. The offers that kept coming back from the sales manager where outrageous. When I told them to take my car out of the equation and that I wanted the current national promotion that GM was offering for the CT's ($1500 down and $339/month) that was being advertised on the side of a CTS on their lot (and I had read up on the offer details online) I was told that the signage was wrong and there wasn't that promotion. The salesman kept telling me that I had negative equity in my car and I wouldn't be able to sell it. You name it, they came at me with it. He refused to give me an actual number of what they were offering me for my trade, nor would they show me the sale price of the new car. After FOUR AND A HALF hours, we finally came to a deal that I was comfortable with. I should have left after the first offer. When the finance guy was finally ready for me, he looked at all the paperwork of the deal and said "wow, you got lucky. CARFAX isn't even reporting your accident." I was floored. They were using the accident against me because I was honest about it. I immediately contacted CARFAX when I left the dealership and they confirmed the accident was not on the report. I faxed them the $8300 repair order and they IMMEDIATELY updated it. I found where the dealership has it listed for sale in their used inventory (funny, the salesman told me they couldn't sell it and it would go to auction) and it is advertised as nearly perfect with only 2,000 miles and the manufacturer warranty. THIS IS NOT TRUE. DO NOT BUY THE 2013 HYUNDAI ELANTRA VIN:KMHDH4AE5DU491588 IT WAS IN AN ACCIDENT IT WAS SOLD WITH 28,000 MILES I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT THIS CAR Please do not make the same mistake I did and go to this dealership. Be warned if you have an ad from them. 2013 Labor Day weekend Sale. San Clemente newspaper add shows discounts on 2013 vehicles. Example; "over 20 2013 Acadia (SUV) available for $7000 off MSRP ($5000 dealership, $1500 GMC & $500 for Labor Day). The bottom line is the dealership did not honor their ad for a 2013 Acadia Denali in their stock. I had the ad in hand to show them. They said they sold 17 Acadia's and several of them with the $7K discount. But they will not sell one of the three Acadia remaining in their stock for $7000 off MSRP. Tosca Walker, internet consultant, telephone me and said there is an additional $2000 off for being a current GMC owner (loyalty) and also owning a luxury car. This discount was not available when I visited the dealership and was told Tosca was new and made a mistake. I accepted this as a mistake but expected them to honor their print-ad. They did offer me a $6000 discount off the MSRP and was told by Jeff (lead salesman) the offer was good until the next day. So I went home to think about it. On the second day I visited them, the sales manager, Ken, revoked the offer and said it was only good the day before. He further added that even if I took the offer the previous day, he would have rejected it because it was too low and the GM still has to have his approved as the Sales Department manager for final sales. Furthermore, the sales manger (Ken) said the ad with $7000 off the MSRP was old and used a finance footnote for another vehicle in the ad [i.e. percentage rate expiration date] as the ad's overall sales ending date. This is wrong and incorrect. This shows their level of integrity and honor. Last, their email reply to me included the following: "WE WILL BEAT YOUR BEST DEAL BY A $1000.00*" *Must bring in signed purchase order of a vehicle with exact VIN number & MSRP and we will beat it by $1000.00.Vehicle must be in dealer inventory and within 75 miles of Orange Coast Buick GMC Cadillac. Although I did not have a signed purchase order from another dealership, I did have emails from other dealership with VIN, MSRP in their dealership inventory within 75 miles and Orange Coast would not honor the $1000 off. I accepted this as a 'nearly impossible and not very practical advertizement and was okay not getting this but would like the $7000 off per their ad. Kyle Chernack, sales consultant, is very nice and knowledgeable. Sometimes he has his assumptions incorrect. When asked a second time, he often is very sure of himself instead of double checking the facts. A couple of things later shown he was incorrect such as cross bar, chrome rims and window addendum sticker on a Denali. But he does know a lot about the Acadia features and is always eager to be helpful. Upon a second visit to the dealership, he should have coordinated with his manager(s). BTW, Kyle's business card has an email that does not work. Giving the circumstances, I rate Kyle higher but is a 4 out of 5 because he may be behaving the way he is because of his managers/bosses. In summary, the rude and unprofessional part was returning the second day to negotiate further or accept the previous day offer when told, after driving 90 minutes, the offer was revoked and no longer available. This was after I had called in advance and told them I was coming. The combination of not living up to their ad, second day visit with a lack of coordination and not honoring their own previous day offer is why they get 1-star rating. p.s. John Liddy, GM, who was in the dealership, would not make himself available on the second day to follow up with me who revoke his offer. I was at the dealership on the second day for 4.5 hours. read more

I recently had the best new car shopping experience in my over 50 years of buying autos. I was lucky enough to meet Dean Sarwan at Suburban Buick GMC Cadillac in Costa Mesa while looking at the new Buick Encore. As I did not have the time that moment, i asked Dean to email me the details of a lease for the Encore and told him if they looked attractive I would return the next day with my wife (it was for her!) and we could talk. Needless to say, Dean responded in less than an hour and the lease terms were INCREDIBLE. We returned at 10 am the next morning, met Dean, test drove the Encore, and the decision was made. An amazing new small SUV with bells and whistles found on Beemers and Benzes, but for half the price. Dean and I worked through the deal, letting my wife return home. The dealership itself is incredible with a huge lounge and big screen, gourmet coffee, and a truly friendly staff. To summarize, if you really want a great experience when considering a Buick, GMC or Cadillac, go see DEAN. And even if you are not sure of what you want, talk to Dean. I am writing to share the superior experience I recently had with the service department at Orange Coast Buick GMC Cadillac. From start to finish, the customer service that was shared with me was top notch. I brought my car in for an appointment to have the AC fixed, alignment fixed and oil changed. When I arrived about five minutes prior to my appointment, I pulled into the driveway and didn't have to wait at all. Mr. Fred Lockett in the service department immediately greeted me car side and checked in my vehicle. He was warm and friendly and quickly assessed my vehicle. I did end up having to leave my car overnight for the repairs needed, and Mr. Lockett kept me up to speed with any updates he could provide during that time. He also managed my expectations very directly with all pricing and time estimates for completing the services needed. Mr. Lockett responded to all of my phone calls and texts promptly - it was quite impressive. He even responded to a text I sent at 7:00 a.m.! In addition to the service Mr. Lockett provided, I was also provided with a courtesy shuttle to get from and to the dealership. I was fortunate to have a wonderful driver named Andreas in the shuttle. Andreas must have a map of the area engrained in his mind. He didn't need GPS and got all of his passengers where they needed to be - taking the routes with the least traffic possible. He was also friendly, engaged and courteous. When I came back to pick up my car, Mr. Lockett was waiting for me. He personally escorted me to the counter to pay, explained all the paperwork and then also personally went to retrieve my car. I'd also sprung last minute for a full detail (hence the 7 a.m. text...), and let me tell you, they did a WONDERFUL job! All of the repair work on my car was done well, but it also looked like new! I felt like I was driving a new car off the lot when I left. In the end, because of Mr. Lockett and Andreas, I actually felt like dropping off my car for service was an experience. I will definitely be back to see Mr. Lockett and his team the next time my car needs a little more TLC, and I applaud the dealership for providing great personalized service to their clients from start to finish. read more

One evening I had emailed the Internet Sales Department from Suburban Buick GMC for an inquiry on a 2017 Buick Regal GS AWD. The next day Tommi from Suburban Buick GMC called. In the end Tommi was able to put together an awesome deal for us. We went in to sign the paperwork and were in an out within a few hours with our new car. While the bank was processing and the dealership was preparing our car, we were able to have some interactions with the Staff. Dennis the General Manger was very friendly and had provided customers with fresh deli, Matt from Sales greeted and congratulated us, Casey and Shaun from Finance provided a clear sales contract and Mike from Internet Sales helped set up our OnStar and went over features on our car. I have dealt with Sales Associates from other dealerships in my life, and Tommi was by far the most professional, courteous and genuine.
