    GMC Sierra EV Denali
    Kevin W.

I purchased a brand new GMC Sierra EV Denali from this shop. I got a great deal, great sales experience. I left a very happy customer. Two months and 4k miles later the traction battery failed while on a work trip 200 miles away from home. The dealer I was unfortunately towed to was AWFUL as they clearly had a malicious prejudice towards EVs (Stowasser GMC). Stowasser had my truck for about 3 months as they were unable or unwilling to run a complete diagnostics on a brand new GMC product. Stowasser was a nightmare. What's scary is that I didn't get my truck back until Sergio and Booke (from Costa Mesa GMC) stepped in to help me. Upon getting my truck back from Stowasser, I was discovered they did an incomplete job of replacing the traction battery as they did not bother to update the software even-though it was part of the job of replacing a traction battery. And I was ensured by the service manager at Stowasser that the software would be updated. Stowasser also returned may truck back with a daytime running light nonoperational. I was just glad to get my truck back with Brooke and Sergio's help. Brooke fit me in the day after I got my truck back and they got the daytime running light replaced along with updating the software and fixing the tonneau cover a few days later. Just in time for my next required work trip. 4k problem free miles later. I am only sad that I've moved out of Southern California, so I won't be able to go to Costa Mesa GMC for any needed service. Their EV techs are TOP OF THEIR GAME The service department really sells the next car. The service department at Costa Mesa GMC provided me with some of the best customer service (EV or NOT), even when my truck wasn't even in their shop!!!! From the shuttle drivers who dropped me off and picked me up. They really treat their employees well and it shows. Everyone cares! Pro-tip. If you rig breaks down and you find yourself at an awful dealer far from home, you can take use of GMC's reunite program. I wish I had known about it. If I had, I am sure the awesome crew at Costa Mesa GMC would have had me up and running within a few weeks and not MONTHS Stowasser left me brewing because of their political hate towards EVs! Thanks again Brooke, Sergio, the tech who fixed my truck, and the shuttle drivers. I would gladly make the trek and buy another truck from you just for the white glove service. My GMC Sierra EV is the BEST EV I've ever owned. It is the "cybertruck" Elon Musk should have built as it Out Cybers the Cyber "truck". Thanks again Costa Mesa GMC! I appreciate the empathy! 4k miles later and I am still problem free!

    2025 Chevy Colorado Z71

I bought a 2025 Chevy Colorado Z71 and am incredibly happy with the whole process. Umer was really easy to work with and got me the deal I was looking for. I would recommend.

    Nobody around part 1 GMC.

I'll own it: I'm a bit particular. Not "difficult," just the type who reads the fine print and expects the headline price to be the price. No test drive, no trade-in, no financing gymnastics--I wanted the advertised 24-month lease and to pay it in full. That should be "easy mode," right? Reader, it was not. If you've ever ordered a pizza online for $15 and had the driver show up asking for $25--plus a mandatory "anti-theft pizza lock"--that's basically my weekend at Costa Mesa GMC. The setup: Sunday around 10:30 a.m., I requested lease pricing for a 2025 Hummer EV. The GMC site showed a 24-month lease totaling ~$15,000. That was the starting line. Spoiler: we did a lot of laps. Communication? Like trying to text a brick. I had to call and follow up multiple times just to get a confirmation. At 12:45 p.m., I finally got a call: "It's about $25,000." No documentation. I pointed out that this wasn't even close to the website price and sent proof. Plot twist #1 (aka "The yo-yo"): At 1:56 p.m., the number magically became about $16,000. Progress! Then I asked for a written quote and spotted a stowaway: KARR security--5 years for $1,045. Not on the dealer site. Not on GMC's site. But apparently on my bill. Why this add-on felt especially wrong: This is a 2025 Hummer EV--a rolling supercomputer that already comes with built-in security features and OnStar/connected services. It's like being sold an "extra seatbelt" at the door of an airplane. The truck already has the safety net; charging another grand for a third-party alarm felt redundant at best and predatory at worst. I said "No, thanks." They said "No, actually." I asked to remove the add-on. The dealership refused because they'd "already taken a significant markdown to get to my price." Clarification: "my price" was the advertised price. "Apply online," they said. "But you still have to show up," they said. I completed the GMC online application around 6 p.m. Sunday. By 10 a.m. Monday, radio silence--then an email from the sales manager at 10:21 a.m. asking how they were doing. I replied quickly. No response. Plot twist #2 (aka "We lost your homework"): After more calls/emails/messages, at 11:30 a.m. I was told they don't receive the application from GMC and I needed to fill out a new one. I did--within minutes. Finally, a heartbeat: After several promised call-backs that I had to chase, I was told at 5:00 p.m. Monday that everything was processed and good. Pickup day, bring a book. I scheduled 12:30 p.m. Tuesday to sign and pick up, asked that everything be ready because I was short on time. I arrived 10 minutes early expecting crowds. There were none--not in GMC, not in Cadillac. A dealership tumbleweed moment. The Hummer? Not charged, not detailed. I waited another hour to even get into the signing office. Plot twist #3 (aka "Now you see five years, now you see three"): Once in the signing office, the $1,045 KARR "5-year" suddenly became a $1,000 "3-year" alarm. Still unwanted. Still unadvertised. Still mandatory. I asked to remove it--again told no, and that the earlier number was "priced wrong." And again--why that's absurd on a Hummer EV: Between factory theft-deterrent hardware and OnStar's connected capabilities (you know, the stuff built in so you can ping, lock, locate, and get help), selling me a bolt-on alarm felt like charging admission to use the door handle. The truck already speaks fluent "security." Credit where it's due: Abraham and Berenice were kind and tried to help. It felt like they were pushing a boulder uphill while the back office kept greasing the slope. The finale (cue confetti cannon that jams): I did get the vehicle I love--from a dealership I would not recommend to anyone. The "brand new" car had minor scratches, dents, and interior imperfections--like it spent the night wrestling a shopping cart.

    Do not buys from them

I personally regret doing business with this place. I recently purchased a 23 GMC from them last night came in with a Capital One approval and it took them two days to make the deal. The first time I went in they treated me like crap and acted like I wasn't buying when I was already preapproved. Then when I went back the very next day, they gave me the runaround made me run my credit to put another inquiry saying they could beat the rate I have and they could not!! Just put another ding on my credit not to mention the process took over four hours, just to process paperwork. They also would not give me a full tank of gas because they said it's a used vehicle and did not offer me two plates on my vehicle. I would not recommend this place and will never do business with them again be aware of their tactics they just give you the runaround if you don't know what you're doing. Don't listen to anything they say. There a waste of time. And don't deserve your money

Typical bait & switch by the team at Costa Mesa GMC. Attached AutoTrader photo shows their current advertised price. I called ahead of time to assure there wasn't a catch or added accessories required to purchase. There wasn't according to them. BUT, pricing had suddenly changed, and "auto trader is a 3rd party and they had it wrong,".... Then it changed to supposedly the pricing was expired from last week and not updated on the site. Somehow their pricing went up at the end of the month while their advertising "Black Friday" blowouts on their website. Be aware of this dealer.

mirror image of the oil leak I showed to Cruz upon the initial drop off

I feel taken advantage of and ripped off- I brought in my Cadillac for service, an oil leak and my transmission. I expressed exactly where and what it was one my engine I even showed him the leak. This place mis diagnosed my leak and reassured me my car was in good hands, kept my car for over a month. I had to rent a car to go to and from work. I rarely got an update on the progress or status of my Cadillac. I left messages with Cruz the service rep. I left messages with Sergio the Service Mgr. not one was returned until I went in myself to get an update. Finally I was told by Cruz my transmission was on back order not to worry. I then asked, "how's the oil leak repair going I know it is a major leak.(my oil leak was to the point it was literally dripping out from the second cam) and Cruz response was, "we have not started that yet because we are going to do it all together with the transmission." 1 more week passed and I got a call from Cruz telling me ,'Your car is ready all done," I returned his call and I asked wow how could that be if the transmission was on back order just last week?" Cruz- "we got it in the next day and we got everything done." (again no update on the progress) I picked up my car and the check engine light was still on! Mind you a Master mechanic supposedly passed my car off to me like this with the check engine light on. This was the biggest red flag that the mechanic or whomever the work did nit get done properly. Sergio the Service manager brought out his little apparatus and proceeded to attach the device to turn off the light. At that point I told him my car is not right, It still smells like its burning oil and I hear a strange noise. I even took him with me in my car to point it out. After driving he said, " take the car bring it back if anything goes wrong we guarantee our work." Here I am not even 2 months after with the oil leak present and I took it back to Costa Mesa Cadillac and I have been treated like I am an idiot. I have been disregarded and told this is a new leak coincidentally in the same area my cam. I asked Sergio to please honor the work and diagnosis his staff made that this is the same leak I originally came in for and he refuses to. I bring my car to Cadillac to avoid things like this and I will be following up with the BAR.

The truck the this dealership didn't want to sell and I bought from a much more reputable dealership.

Update....again...dealership continues to call even after ive stated how horrible this dealerships tactics are. I've written a review AND updated it and yet they continue to call. I do not recommend this dealership.

Well, my beautiful GMC terrain AT4 kept telling me I was due for oil service lol. I actually purchased my vehicle through Boulevard GMC in Long Beach, but decided to try out Costa Mesa GMC because it was closer to me. I'm glad I did! The service was five star from the initial phone call to schedule my appointment, to drop off and check in, to phone communication and pick up. Jessica in service was wonderful and they even washed my car before pick up! This is what you would expect from a great dealership with great customer service and I was thrilled. Ignore any of the wishy-washy reviews you may read and go here! Not only was the service five star but the place was impeccably, clean and service oriented!

On January 23 ,I dropped my truck off to have the breaks done .Made a appointment for Saturday service, they confirmed that I had a 8A.M. appointment. They informed at 4PM that my truck would not be ready until Monday at 10 A.M.,I picked my truck up at 10 ,they gave me $20 off for the inconvenience. I proceeded to drive off their property .After making 2 left turns on to Harbor Blvd., getting up to 40 MPH the left rear wheel fell off. They didn't put the lug nuts on, the tire proceeded across the medium and struck another car head on. Luckily no one was hurt .It's been over 9 weeks , I haven't got my truck back from them. You would think the last thing they would want is a Yelp review like this.No one calls to give me a status; just say they're waiting on parts .

I shopped around for a month for a used GMC Sierra and this was the only dealer that got to the point and wanted to get me a good deal. They didn't give me what i was expecting for my trade in but other than that I was in and out with a truck in a little over an hour and happy with the experience.

I was shown a vehicle they had in stock and simply said I didn't like the color and asked if they had one in white or black. The manager came over and repeatedly acted as though my preference about the color was ridiculous. At one point, he literally wrote "COLOR BLIND" on a piece of paper. He also repeatedly brought up my credit score and made it clear that he believed I wouldn't be able to get a better deal anywhere else because I was already with Toyota Financial. I told him multiple times that I was not ready to trade in my vehicle that day and wanted to take some time to figure out my options. Rather than respecting that, he continued pressing me with, "Well, what do you need to figure out?" He then told me that if I didn't take the car that day, I would eventually end up without a car and would have to Uber to work. I was also told that my lease buyout was about $4,000 higher than the amount stated in my lease agreement because of a "certification." That didn't sound right to me, so I decided to step back, review my actual lease paperwork, and get an independent opinion before agreeing to anything. I left feeling pressured, belittled, and honestly pretty shocked by the way I had been spoken to. Then comes the part that really says it all: the very next day, I received a voicemail from the dealership saying they were suddenly able to get the color I had originally asked for. So after being told they didn't have the color I wanted and being pressured to take what was available that day, suddenly the color I wanted could be found. I completely understand that dealerships are businesses and that negotiating is part of buying a car. What I don't appreciate is being pressured, having my credit score repeatedly used against me, being told I would essentially be stranded without a car if I didn't make a decision immediately, and being made to feel ridiculous for having a simple preference about the vehicle I was considering. I had a genuinely positive experience with this dealership in 2023. Unfortunately, this experience completely changed my opinion. I would strongly recommend anyone considering doing business here to know the terms of their lease, get the buyout numbers in writing, and don't let anyone pressure you into making a decision on the spot.

About two months ago, the manager called me back and tried to guilt trip me into removing the review. He said, "Did we really deserve that one star? We tried everything we could to fix the problem." I told him, "You didn't fix the problem. That's just an excuse. "The reality is you did not fix the problem." He said, "Well, at least give us some credit. We put in new rotors and the pads." I said that was nice but it doesn't fix the problem, and they keep lying over and over. Lies over lies. This isn't just shady sales tactics; we are talking about serious criminal acts, actively withholding forged documents I'm legally entitled to, and straight-up lying to law enforcement in official investigation statements. Here is a summary of what happened: Aug. 23: I bought a car and signed a finalized Retail Installment Sale Contract (RISC) in person with sales rep Aiden Simmons and finance manager Juan Carlos Ortiz. Sept. 15: opened a letter from the lender, Wells Fargo, and the loan account summary had multiple discrepancies. Upon speaking with the lender, it became evident to us that the dealership forged a signature/printed my name onto documents, dated Aug. 26. This is impossible because I was at school all day in LA and they never told me they were creating a new contract. Also, they put identical signatures on both the buyer and seller lines that look nothing like my actual handwriting. In this document, they inflated the balance, threw on an extra $570.24 in charges, covertly packed in an unwanted warranty, extended the loan term, and shifted my payment due date. Wells Fargo Fraud Risk Management confirmed the visible fakery and opened a formal investigation. When I called management on Sept. 15 to get clarification, Sales Manager Eric Yun claimed I signed in person on Aug. 26, read off fake terms, refused to send me the documents, and hung up on me. Subsequent callbacks were deliberately dropped. Eric, Juan, and Finance Director Gregory Hammann refused written communication, blocked access to audit logs and call recordings, and tried to force unrecorded phone chats to dodge a paper trail. Corporate has not responded. Sept. 17: Wells Fargo sent me the forged RISC, and the Costa Mesa Police launched a criminal investigation. The dealership staff lied to the investigating officer: Eric claimed he had no access to the Aug. 26 RISC (directly contradicting his recorded call), and Juan claimed he emailed it to me (which server logs completely disproved). After police contacted dealership staff, GM Edward Dooner called me, but refused to let me record the conversation, so I told him we will only communicate from now on via email/text. He later emailed trying to brush the whole thing off as a minor "communication issue" involving just a $467 licensing fee, completely ignoring the fact that his team committed literal forgery, identity theft, and loan packing. He offered me a choice between a $467 refund or returning the car, but neither fixes a criminal fraud. Wells Fargo confirmed I can't get off the hook for this fraudulent loan until my lawyer submits a formal certification. I requested Edward to share the documents sent to the lender, signature audit logs and IP transmission metadata for the August 26, 2026 transaction, alongside all internal call audio recordings between management and me. Sept. 18: Edward refused to address the facts or commit to a timeline. Also...isn't it fascinating how this dealership suddenly received a sudden influx of glowing reviews and positive edits on Google right around the exact same week a criminal investigation was opened against them? Especially weird considering that for the past month, they've been getting many complaints from people calling them out as scammers and unprofessional. Even some with similar experiences as mine, check out the reviews on Google.
