This is one of the finest dealerships I've purchased a car from. The entire staff, the General Manager Mike Udell, the Brand Manager Patrick Pepper (what's a Brand Manager?), the Used Car Manager Gene Hensley, our salesman Dean Sarwan, and the finance person Chrystie Muncy were all very helpful. They truly seem like they enjoy working there and they enjoy working together. I really can't say enough good things about them. I bought a used 2011 Nissan GT-R (5 years old). It had only 16 thousand miles and was priced thousands less than other 2011 GT-R's I've seen in this area. Mike showed me some emails from the owner of the dealership explaining the provenance of the car. The prior owner of the car, who is a friend of the owner of the dealership, had purchased the car from a Suburban Nissan dealership in Michigan and traded it in to the Costa Mesa dealership a little more than a week prior for one of those 700HP Cadillacs. Prior to placing the car for sale, the dealer had taken it to a GT-R certified Nissan dealer for the recommended service, and they had completely detailed the car. (I guess that part is fairly normal.) The car was available for sale at 10AM that Saturday. I made an appointment to see the car immediately after seeing it on-line at 11AM. With the approval of my primary adviser (my daughter), by noon I stated my intention to purchase it. Our transaction was complete around 4PM. One evening I had emailed the Internet Sales Department from Suburban Buick GMC for an inquiry on a 2017 Buick Regal GS AWD. The next day Tommi from Suburban Buick GMC called. At first i was thinking about writing a negative review after all the circles they got me going through. A loan did not go through and my check for down payment was still cashed. That got me really mad after a week of trying to get some answers i finally get a day off of work and decide to show up in person. Not even 5 minutes after arriving they sit me down, they offer me a water and a few moments later i receive my check. That was great. I also wanna thank them for going above and beyond and giving me a jump. My cars battery was having issues so they got one of their mechanics actually check it out for free and they got my car running at no charge. I went to Orange Coast Cadillac because my old beater finally gave me its last tank of gas. I started looking for cars on the internet. I went used because I didn't need that big of a car payment for a new car. Anyway I looked at Orange Coast found a 2005 Chevy Monte Carlo for a great price. I called they still had. So I went to look at it. While I am there a salesman by the name of Bruce Deloye. Bruce is awesome. He talked to me about the history of the car how a female traded it in because she got a promotion. He even offered to let me have her number so I could talk to her. We went on a test drive and he continued to tell me how a couple of service guys wanted to purchase the car. But they couldn't. When we got back i asked my wife what she thought. she said it fits you. So we started the paperwork. let me say again Bruce is a hell of a guy. Awesome. I don't have the best credit but man did they work with me. I left with the car. A 2005 Monte Carlo on 20 inch rims and 52k miles was a nice Saturday for me. That was my buying experience. So, after I had the car for 59 hours my check engine light turns on. I was so disappointed that that was already happening to me. I got to work and emailed Bruce. He called me back telling me to bring in the car. I went later that day to Orange Coast and met with Bruce he said dont worry I will take care of you. He did. He had his manager send an email to the service department that I wiould be there at 8:30 am the next morning. Bruce even put a handwritten note on Krissy's desk. just to give her a heads up. When i pulled up in the morning its like they all new because they saw me drive up and pointed at Krissy. I wasn't even in the dealership yet. She was awesome as well. Hooked me up. FIxed what the problem was. got a car wash and got a full tank of gas. I mean it is a used car. I was so pleased and happy with the way i was treated. After my last experience, I wasn't too happy with this place.. However, they have definitely changed my mind.. All due to the professionalism and follow through of the Service Manager, Jim. Jim called me and wanted to make sure he got to the bottom of my issues. They took my Denali back in and worked on it until they could fix my problem.. Jim kept me updated throughout the entire process.. My Nav screen works like new, without issue so far. My transmission seems to be operating much better, whether they concentrated on that or not.. The only reason I didn't give them a full 5 stars is because the knocking on my wheel well is still there.. Jim knows about it and is researching to try to find a solution. Also, the loaner car situation was pretty crappy.. Suburban didn't have any and they sent me to enterprise.. Enterprise wouldn't give me anything even close to comparable to my vehicle.. And they vehicle they did give me was dirty.. They didn't even wash it.. I'm grown used to Lexus type service.. And driving a 60k+ car, I was expecting the same with GMC. Jim and Fred are trying their best and I commend them for it.. Might just be a reflection on GMC and maybe the dealership in whole.. But I do appreciate the extra steps and courtesy that Jim and Fred have shown me to at least try to get my issues fixed. Let's see if they can come through and get me back to 100%. read more

Where to start!? I have never had such a great time at a dealership in my life. I like most people dread going to dealerships because it seems like the salespeople are like sharks smelling the blood in the water and the feeding frenzy begins. I was in store for a shock. I had been talking to Dennis Bala for about a week on an Escalade 4wd. He was always so nice and attentive over the phone. I was blown away when I realized he is the general manager. I used to work at dealerships and general managers like him are far and very few in between. He sat down with me and he structured the deal on the pc and showed me everything. He was very straight forward, polite, informative and even treated me to a Diet Coke and Cheezits. In Finance I was helped by Karina Vasquez who was just a doll. My wife and I were putting too many miles on our cars and our daughter would cheerfully borrow any of them if hers needed maintenance, so we decided to look for a "grocery getter" as a spare. After looking at Hondas, Toyotas and others, we found one at Orange Coast Buick-GMC-Cadillac on Harbor in Costa Mesa. It turns out it was a trade-in: a 2002 Jaguar S-Type with a V-8 and 61k miles! We were met by Fred Knapp in Sales, who was really friendly, very personable, and if he didn't know something (he doesn't normally sell Jags) he found out. I usually hate buying a car at the dealers, but he turned my wife and I around with his good nature and great sense of humor. They went through it perfectly, new brakes and discs, actually quite a list, including new tires. It had a couple of small scratches, but the Service guy in the back, Alfredo Ponce, fixed those, repainted the entire front bumper and armored the car completely. He was meticulous and a great artist who made it look factory new! You'd expect to pay a lot more for all that strength and beauty, but it was $8,000 out the door, about $2,000 less than the comparable every-day run-around car we were looking for. Our experience was the worst we had.... the first night we had an apt @ 8pm to test drive an used vehicle from the lot, got there and drove the car around the block, we came back to the Dealer to see if the vehicle was eligible for extended protection or to buy a peace of mind warranty and unfortunately the vehicle had over 100k miles, then Chris W(salesman) told us that there was another vehicle in the lot with lower miles and also on sale, we decided to see and to test drive the vehicle but the sales manager came out and said an unprofessional comment, " hope you guys weren't thinking of buying the vehicle tonight because we all have families and places to be", that's something we called not taking care of a potential sale and or future referral . Long story short we received a phone call from Chris W. after a few days announcing that if we were still  interested on the vehicle and that is on sale, we asked Chris what was the current selling price he mention it was for 28,995 but was going to speak to a manager cause usually the vehicles are markdown every Friday, and he was going to call us back, he did called back and left a voice message saying that the vehicle was on sale for 27,900 and will be available at anytime tomorrow and to come on down(voicemail is available), I decided to contact Chris to verify the selling price of 27,900 and he confirm with me over the phone and I decided to tell my wife that we had an apt on Sunday for a test drive at orange GMC, well on Sunday everything came loose from the vehicle not being at the current sale price that it was offered and to not make an offer at least trying to sell the vehicle at a lower price than 28,750. Manager never came and apologize for driving 60 miles just to get there and wasted half of my day at a Dealer with the family. read more

I have never had the great experiences from any other dealership that I've had at Suburban Buick GMC of Costa Mesa. From the initial purchase (in my case, lease) the salesman, finance people, shoot -- even the receptionist who took my initial call were wonderful. They were more than professional...they were friendly, they were "human." I've gone back for servicing twice. Both times they were ready for my appointment and had the work done and car washed in the time they said they would. The second time I went for regular servicing I was having a terrible week....the service man, I think he name was Dwayne, gave me a hug and a word of encouragement and told me if things didn't get better come on back and he'd give me another hug. This place is a class act all the way! I received a recall notice that the Takata airbag needed to be replaced immediately. Since Suburban Buick GMC is the closest GMC dealer for me, I gave them a call. From my first call to picking up my repaired car I had excellent customer service. I would recommend them highly to anyone. I first had to take my car in for evaluation and once it was determined that the airbag did, in fact, need to be replaced Sal ordered the parts and had the guys wash my car before I left! What a nice treat! It made my day :) Once the parts were in about 3 weeks later, I made an appointment for the repair but when I arrived I was told it would take longer than the 3 hours allotted and Cruz was kind enough to provide me with a wonderful loaner car to use so that I could leave my car there for the repair rather than having to come back at another time. What a relief! I was in & out of there in a wonderful loaner car within about 10 minutes! It was convenient and professional & I truly appreciated the excellent customer service. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant, helpful and professional. Also, the loaner car was a new, beautiful Buick Envision that I had a hard time returning because I was loving it so much! haha :) THANKS Suburban Buick GMC for everything!! Very poor service especially on warranty parts. Took the car in on February 19 and they were supposed to order parts and I was told it takes 2-3 weeks. I kept calling to check on the status and they never bothered to return my calls. Finally in May they called and I took the car in. After having it all day they called and informed me that they lost the parts. I took the car to another dealer and they had the parts in 2 days and fixed it. I will never take my car there again. read more
