I've been coming here since it opened and now I'm letting my account lapse. I've bought multiple sets of tires and this time I was just getting a tire rotation. I called to make an appointment and the guy said - just come on in. When I got there he told me 2+ hours I said wait a second its usually about an hour if you don't have an appointment and he said no that's if you do have an appointment. I definitely don't want too wait an hour if I have an appointment either but that's not the case , this guy had his information wrong and he, pardon my French, was a dick to me and my son. It was just a tire rotation cause that's what the sticker said to do that you put on. Down goes the sticker and our business. Last year I got my smallest rewards (2700.00)...never again. read more

Costco extended warranty fraud / marketing gimmick. 'Costco Concierge Service' is just a marketing gimmick and a totally useless service that just wastes your time and energy. Our TV stopped working after 1 year but months before the 2 year warranty period under Costco. After waiting for hours several times on music on hold, we finally got hold of the rep, and then their warranty department. They sent an email for us to take pictures and email them, called two weeks later and they had not yet reviewed the pictures. Then they requested to re-email higher resolution pictures, promising that they will send a Tech with the right parts etc. to fix the TV. After more than a month they now say that they reviewed the pictures and determined it to be a 'non manufacturing defect' - totally BS. Please do not waste your time buying electronics and appliances at Costco and their extended warranty fraud. read more

Usually love coming to this COSTCO but I had a bad experience recently . I forgot my membership card at home but was shopping with my mom . She also has a membership card . We are linked to the same card . Anyway I was paying with my debit card but using her membership card . Her name and picture are on her card but he asked us a million questions then had management check if it was my moms card . He was really rude and I didn't understand why he was questioning us . I was given incorrect information in multiple occasions, I was hung up on 3-4 times, and I was placed on hold for over an hour. I was told by a supervisor named Patrick, that he'll get me Lauren, who is a senior manager of customer service, to assist me. She was rude, disrespectful, and it was obvious she had no intent on solving the problem. Lauren is not the type of person who should be in customer service. She needs to be in a job that requires no contact with other people. I will be canceling my membership. Amazon is much better than Costco, or at least this Costco location. read more

The pharmacy here is a joke! We have been told 3 things by 3 different employees and then the stories change. We get here and were told that my daughters Rx was not here when we were at the dr office when he electronically submitted them and then called to follow up. We stand in 1 line for 10 minutes without an employee in sight and then she says go to the "drop off" counter since she can't see where Rx was called in. After being thoroughly ignored at the "drop off" counter for a solid 5 min we discover they DO have Rx but they misspelled her name. Employee tells u Rx will b done in 10 min (1:25 pm) but they closed for lunch at 1:30 so to go stand in the other line now. Go back and stand in other line for 10 min and at 1:25 we are told that Rx not ready. Apparently the only problem is that Rx is not in the white basket. Politely ask employee to move Rx to correct basket and she agrees. Comes back and says still not ready though. Then she proceeds to tell us that they don't close for lunch... All I know is that we have been waiting for 45 min for Rx that they promised 35 min ago. This was our own fault though for allowing dr to call Rx into Costco, our daughter did not realize she should've requested Lily's!!! read more

Costco Tires: June 1, 2018 Costco Tire Center replaced the tires on my Sequoia. Upon pick-up of my vehicle I was informed my car had been left outside during a torrential rainstorm with the windows down. They had sent an employee to Walmart to purchase ArmorAll to try and repair the damage from the discoloring on my interior door panels. My car is soaked.... leather seats, carpet and door panels. I am in complete dis-belief of the lack of care the employees placed in my car and then trying to cover their error. I will never again use this service. read more

I admit that Costco is superior to any other buyer's club warehouse but I did not have a favorable experience when buying an extended warranty with our large screen television purchase several years ago. My fiancé and I were told by a Costco sales representative, in no uncertain terms, that if we did not have a claim during our television's extended warranty period, we would be refunded the full amount we paid for Costco's extended warranty. Based on the information the Costco sales person provided to us, we went ahead with the extended warranty purchase. After the extended warranty elapsed, I had remembered what the Costco salesperson had told us at the time of purchase and I began the painstaking process of getting Costco to make good on it promise. First I contacted the warranty company to make certain we did not have any claims in the time period covered by the extended warranty. After thoroughly confirming that no warranty claims were filed, I attempted to secure a refund with Costco Concierge Services. Though the representative could not issue the refund, he did provide me with some invaluable information directly out of Costco's policy book. The paragraph that applied to my particular case read as follows: "Members can return the warranty at any time and get 100% refund excluding taxes. They bring the service plan letter back to Costco. Refunds are to be handled per the normal Costco refund policy. No 90-day restriction. Do not place returned envelopes back in inventory. Please always process the return to the RTV according to the instructions in SWI." I was instructed by Costco Concierge Services to contact Costco Member Services. I spoke to a sympathetic Costco representative who listened to me carefully. When I read her the paragraph from Costco's policy manual regarding warranty refunds, she sided in my favor. I was instructed to contact a Costco store manager at the location of purchase and I did so. The manager would do nothing on my behalf. My Costco Member Services representative said if I was unsuccessful at the local store level I could appeal my case and my claim would be given to the Costco regional manager for evaluation. My member services representative indicated I should expect a phone call from a regional manager in 2 to 3 days. Almost two weeks went by without a response. I contacted my Costco Member Services representative again and she sent another request to the regional manager to contact me. This time, the regional manager contacted me expeditiously. Though I found his approach rather terse, I was hoping for a favorable outcome. I did not receive one. In fact, no compensation was offered to me whatsoever. I made the effort to research the matter further. What the Costco sales person failed to disclose when he sold me the extended warranty was that any refunds on the warranty must be made while the extended warranty is still active. Had I sought a refund the day prior to the expiration date of the extended warranty I would have received my money back. By the way, refundable extended warranties do exist. HP offers such warranties on at least some of their products. Live and learn. Sometimes the hard way. Update: After letting my membership lapse for several years I decided to provide Costco with another chance and rejoined. I was startled by how far this wholesale club had declined over the past few years. Costco is so inferior terms of product selection, value, and customer service, I have to admit that BJ's Wholesale is now number one. Even Sam's Club outscores Costco in many areas. Let's face it, how much rotisserie chicken can one person eat? Among the problems: Customers cannot use coupons in the self-checkout aisle Costco still doesn't accept American Express. No Wi-Fi for Costco customers. Diminished product selection and value Apathetic employees Horrible customer service Unacceptable product return experience (see below) No way to cancel member online Long wait times for online chat help Long hold times for Costco phone support I received a better deal on a rental car without having to join Costco. I could not receive a refund for a frozen asparagus product that was so fibrous that it was absolutely inedible. I had to settle for a Costco credit. This is your average Costco with slightly better service and less availability than I'm used to. Still a good store and when I need to buy bulk stuffs this is where I head. A huge positive here is the gas station is right next to the store so you can get your goods and then get gas or vice Versa. They also have self check-out which is really nice when I'm with my daughter and don't want to pass the cart through with her in it or risk taking her out of the cart. One note, they just changed their chicken and the quality is much lower than it used to be. Of special note is the organic boneless skinless chicken thigh has been replaced by a very low quality organic boneless skinless chicken thigh and leg mix. It has a TON of cartilage and skin still left in it and all the sinews which cook up tough and completely ruin the texture of the meal. I bought it and after making two meals with it, I had to go through and clean it up and grind it into sausage. Even that way it was not the best. All the organic chicken seems much lower quality (more blood in the meat, poorly butchered). read more

The busiest place on Earth, or so it seems. Dropped by at noon on a Wednesday thinking it would be empty, but had difficulty finding parking and felt like it was Saturday at 2pm here! I give this Costco a perfect score because I never have issues with the employees. I needed to return something without a receipt and it only took me a few minutes. Perused the store and tried a sample of some popcorn after being prompted by the vendor. She was very friendly, which was the only reason I tried her product (I normally hate popcorn). Deals are always good here, so I'm not surprised that it stays packed. I like the self checkouts, but I think they do not accept cash, meaning you better have an AMEX on hand since that's the only card they take. read more

I usually go to the Costco in Duluth, but I was in Alpharetta this time and the bf needed to stock up on some stuff. I think this Costco is a little bigger, and absolutely busier. They only take American Express in the self check out line. If you want to pay by cash, you'll have to go to the cashier. They also have a liquor section attached adjacent to the bigger warehouse. We came in to browse, but I don't think the prices were a steal. They were relatively similar to Total Wine. read more

We have always shopped at this location. This Costco is huge and you can pretty much find anything and everything at this location. It kind of beats Sandy Springs and Brookhaven Costco's in terms of availability and variety. Given the popularity, the parking at this location is a big challenge. They have ample space. The membership is worth it if for no other reason than the gas, tires, and every day stuff like shampoo soap and the like. It you are considering a big purchase like a TV or something you have to consider Costco. There are tons of uses for the membership afterwards, and since Atlanta has so many Costco stores why not take advantage of some "economies of scale" warehouse places. Also, I know times are hard. Check out the gas prices if you already have a membership. They are consistently lower than any of the gas stations near by. I was paying $2.95 when QT was at $3.15, and QT is the cheapest of the stations. $2 savings per tank (mine is only 10 gal) over a whole year does add up and should cover the cost of membership on its own. Also, Kirkland vodka is surprisingly ...almost disturbingly good. I know my review has been a little chaotic but this is a good place. read more

The staff is A1, always helpful. Don't be discouraged by the long checkout lines - they go so fast, way faster than Lidl wher you have to pack your own cart. You can keep large or heavy items in the cart, the packer will scan them there. Rarely out of stock on items. read more

We especially like the organic milk and brown eggs. The meat dept is great too. The produce is good but the produce in the refrigerated section doesn't seem to have as long as shelf life as it did in the past. Best to going during the week. Weekends are packed!! read more

Costco is a little slice of heaven for me. They have EVERYTHING - if it's not in-store, you can get it at costco.com... While Costco used to be partnered with American Express as the form of payment, that's changing. Will be interesting to see what that does to membership numbers. The Alpharetta location gets superhigh marks from me on inventory, cleanliness and service. The staff here are unfailingly helpful and courteous. We shop here for everything: food, wine, electronics, snacks, vitamins, tires, outdoor stuff, gasoline and spirits. We've also been customers of the optical area for several years - the hours are convenient, the eye exams thorough and the selection/price for eyeglasses are better than any other provider. Costco really focuses on quality and it comes through in their prepared foods section. We're big fans of the salmon, stuffed peppers, chicken pot pie, shrimp salad and other items in this section - the portions are large, the food is fresh and well prepared. In addition to the prepared food section, their "food court" is a good option. Although selections are limited (think hot dogs and pizzas), again the quality is high. It's a good option for a quick bite while shopping or to pick up a large pizza to go. The only cloud on my Costco horizon is the crowd. This location is SO busy that walking the aisles or lining up to check out can feel like driving on 285. The staff works hard to get people through the checkout lines as quickly as possible, but if you go on a Saturday, be prepared for lines. We've found one of the best times to go is on a Thursday evening or a couple of hours before they close on Sunday. Once checked out, you'll have to navigate the huge parking lot to get to your car (watch out for other cars - we've had two close calls with drivers who don't understand right-of-way). The Costco lot has one main entrance and one "side" entrance that pops you out a little further down Windward Parkway. Use the side entrance - the main one will back up and take you forever to exit. read more

Costco is not for everyone... You have to be okay with crowds, patience in long lines. But they offer good prices on large volumes of food. Even though there's just three of us, I can shop here and use up the food I buy before it spoils. The biggest drawback is that you will spend more than you anticipated. I can go for three items, and end up spending over $100 easy on stuff I didn't need....but the savings is worth it. read more

A coworker of mine was going to Costco at lunch to pick up a few things so I asked her if she could bring me back a slice of pizza. To my surprise when she came back, the pizza looked like it had come from Mellow Mushroom! I took one bit and couldn't believe that it was so much better than Sam's Club's pizza (and almost on par with MM). I am not a member but if I was, I think I would eat here way too much. Sure, you have to pay for membership and the only time you see the staff is at the checkout line or when they're giving out samples, but with prices this cheap how can you NOT love costco? Yes, you do buy in bulk - but that just means we only go there every other week or once a month instead of all the time. They're constantly giving out samples if you want to try some of the goods before getting a 3 month supply. The bakery and butcher stations always have a huge selection of fresh bread and meat. The other goods have plenty of stuff for ethnic eaters. On the whole the selection is very good, the aisles are plenty wide to navigate, and the prices are CHEAP. read more

We joined Costco only because they were the one store during the pandemic that carried the dishwasher that we wanted. Appliance Installers Inc., the installers that they use, is not responsive. Twice now they have failed to call the day before the appointment with the window of time that they'll arrive. They don't respond to text messages. Their voice mailbox is full so you can't leave a message. Costco's website gives you no information. It's difficult to get a live human being. When you finally reach someone, the rep tells you that they are not responsible for the installers and that you have to reach the installers. We won't be using Costco for any future appliances. Home Depot and Lowes at least call you in advance. The installer people themselves were very nice and polite. read more

This is the most comprehensive and efficient bulk warehouse store of any chain I've ever been to. Has a well designed gas station out of the way of the parking lot and immediately available upon entrance. Also features a full liquor store available as a side out next to the entrance. Rare among warehouse stores, but I've literally stocked my bar multiple times with the great deals here. The store also features the normal awesomeness that is the tire center, photo center, food, and goods. Nice thing about Costco is you can use the pharmacy even if you arent a member. The prices here are stellar for prescriptions. The food court is always busy and offers super cheap options that are really good. Pizza, hot dogs, and massive ice creams for but a couple bucks. Photo center is at the entrance and does a very good job, reasonably priced. Electronics are a steal if you find the right item at the right price. (Have purchased several tvs for hundreds below INET pricing). Love their selection of office supplies, sporting goods, and small kitchen appliances. The bakery and wine selections are vast, as are the seafood and meat area. They have a huge walk in cooler for fresh fruits and vegetables, and of course the frozen food area offers all kinds of staples plus organics all well priced. I always stock up on toiletries here and they carry most of the big brands everyone wants. Need something for work? Plenty of ready to eat or pre-packaged items too. Love the gift card selections that all save about 20% immediately... same thing with movie tickets. The only thing I dont buy at Costco is soda... because it's actually more expensive here. Overflowing lines at the cash register requiring long wait times and to add insult to injury, they now have overflowing lines at the receipt check line!!! I know it's Covid but this has been going on for a year and they don't adjust. I don't want to sole-source thru Amazon but Costco is really disappointing since they often also are out of stock on staple items. "Getting it now" at Costco is often not worth the headache of dealing with them. I hope they'll do something. read more
