This one is hard to judge. The store is fine, the issue with Costco is when you order online and have an appliance shipped to you. We were out a refrigerator for 2 weeks. The first attempt at delivery resulted in a cracked base, where the warehouse strapped the base where it says DO NOT STRAP. Then when the order was rejected, Costco Logistics was contacted on a Friday early afternoon. We were told it would be expedited and to expect a new delivery the following Tuesday. I called the following Monday to confirm a time only to discover the representative from Friday NEVER ENTERED THE REPLACEMENT. It was only reordered on that Monday morning. The second delivery attempt was the following Thursday, when it was discovered there was a huge hole in the box and a major dent in the front. After 2 failed attempts and over 2 weeks without a refrigerator, we decided to cancel and take our business elsewhere for failure for the warehouse to check for damage before loading. Logistics didn't communicate with each other too. NEVER ordering appliances from Costco again. It may be cheaper, but there's no guarantee you're going to receive it undamaged or on time. read more

Do NOT buy any big items from Costco!!! They use CEVA logistics for delivery. I ordered a shed from Costco and the guys just left the 400lbs box in the middle of the driveway. It was horrible we couldn't move it. I asked them to move it but they flat out rejected me and kept pointing to the paper. I looked at the paper and there was no indication it was supposed to be on the driveway. They just wanted to leave. These guys take no accountability whatsoever. This Costco has been my favorite, I'm here at least twice a week. Customer service used to be top notch, but in the last 6 months it has tanked. I had a cashier reprimand me for not going "all the way around" when returning from talking with a supervisor. (I had parked my cart inside, near the first checkout.) Why should I have to go through the front again? Today I was shopping and saw an item I had been wanting, for a really good price. I tossed it in my cart and headed to check out. Turns out, the signage was incorrect and they would not honor the price. They acted like I was the one who changed it. These are just two recent interactions, I have more. Their latest Food Court Roast Beef sandwich is hefty but, they are using pickled red onions and too much mustard confusing the taste buds into wondering if they're enjoying it or not. By the time we drove back home, unloaded the car from our purchases from Costco and settled down to eat the extra wet stuff rendered the bread too soggy far too soon. Our local Costco is a good Costco. I feels just right in this location, that visiting others feels a little off. I do appreciate that they do have gift cards to local dinning. Kirkland paper towels are the standard imho, and their croissants are delicious when properly toasted. Oh and steaks? No need to go anywhere else. Their USDA Choice rated beef is more than sufficient to satisfy your craving for the whole family. I love Costco but this location isn't the best. Unfortunately, it is the closest location. I am not sure if they are trying to be open to too many markets but they seem to switch out their products all the time. The popular products they sell out of never seem to come back on the shelves. I would think if an item is popular, you would continue to get it. Also, the best part about Costco is the samples and they never seem to have that many. They might have 3 booths out at peak times during the day. On a good note, the staff has always been very friendly and the cashiers check out everything fast. Be careful going to this Costco. The stockers in the back were very RUDE (a couple were mexicans and an older Caucasian man). They were just pushing through their carts/dollies, not waiting for customers to pass through without warning. I saw the Caucasian man push his big orange cart through, squeezing himself between customers' carts, customers stopping because he was just pushing though without minding everyone else around him. I went here yesterday and the lady who helped me to pay for all the things I bought and she charged me instead of 12 bottles of honey she charged 24 bottles. But I sympathize with her because she is too busy and everyone will make mistakes sometimes. I went back and talked to the staff here happily and without irritation, but in exchange for their handling. After they check the camera again and give me back the money 12 bottles of honey yesterday was charged extra then they said I have to pay extra $17.99, did I ask her what do I need to pay more? She told me that yesterday the lady didn't charge for the trash bag, I took 2 boxes but the lady only charged 1 box. But I showed her in my bill it was 2 boxes and she said no, I took 3 but the lady only charged 2 boxes. But I'm sure I only took 2 boxes yesterday and the bill already charged 2 boxes. Then she called the manager or someone came out to talk and when she came and show me the camera again and said I took 2 boxes but the lady only charged 1 box. And I said that in the bill 2 boxes were charge. Then they didn't said anything and turned away, not even an apology. Neither did I. I think when they looked at the camera again from yesterday, if they think I haven't pay anything, they should check the bill before telling me I need to pay more. What if I don't know speak English? It took me years to find this Costco. When I find discover this Costco it was located where the gas station is at now. They built a much bigger building in 2007/2008. This location can get busy. I have gone here when it was not insane like Concord and Richmond. Getting gas at Costco is not insane like Vallejo or Concord. Easy to pump gas and get out right away. The inside of Costco is bigger compare to the old location. Their food court pre 2007/2008 was outside. It was not a good due to birds trying to get your food. Their Photo Department and Optical is not busy. This Costco did have a self check out but it was remove within a year. Costco in Antioch is the place to go to. read more

Growing up, Costco was and is still a big part of my life. Whether it's cruising inside the store and eating their samples or getting gas from their gas station to ordering online, Costco provides the best deals for members in home appliances, outdoor patio furniture, electronics, eyeglasses, prescription, and at most times, groceries. You can find jewelry or high end watches such as Breitling and they even have a tire shop. I also find most value in their generous return policy, so I can buy with 100% confidence from Costco. Being a Costco member is very convenient and worthwhile for me. This particular location is my favorite one since it's the one closest to me. The parking lot is vast and huge. It's also easy to navigate through when it's very busy. The layout is very beneficial. Like all Costcos, the employees are friendly and welcoming; the store is clean, spacious and nice. Everything is organized. There are still free samples stations propped around the store. The food court has a new system. You can stand in line to order (they only have one window for this and it's cash only) or use the multiple self checkout kiosks to order yourself. When using the kiosks, you then bring your receipt to the window so they can get it for you. I love how this makes it more accessible for folks who don't have cash. I thought it was pretty cool. Overall, the Antioch / Pittsburg location is very nice and clean. This will location will continue to be my main one. read more

This Costco is nice and has different merchandise like most Costco. Its merchandise is geared towards the general demographic. One thing I do notice is this Costco has a semi self checkout. It has a total of 4 but only 2 were operated by employees. They will scan the items for you due to the high theft rate in this particular store. The reason this time was my other half wanted me to go there and look for new glasses, I didnt want to but I finally agreed. This is our 3rd or maybe 4th time getting glasses at Costco. This time we had Joseph helping us. This is the first time we have had him and he really made it a pleasurable experience. He is the first Optical person who ever kept going back to the board and pulling glasses for me. In previous times they would just take what I chose but no one ever offered any advice or suggestions. Joseph went above and beyond and even though I probably tried on 30 pairs of glasses he never lost his patience and we eventually found ones I can live with. It was a great experience. I talked to him about working in retail, something I have done my whole life and I know exactly what he goes thru on a daily basis. When I came to Costco they appeared to be out but on my way out I decided to ask the front desk. The front end manager was able to view that their location had 200 packs in the freeze storage. The produce section requires careful perusal. Don't be misled by what seems like a sweet deal and end up with a bunch of sour grapes. Poke, prod, grope, accost those melons if you have to, damnit! (If you think I didn't open up those plastic cases to inspect the soul and spirit of a Granny Smith apple, you're dead wrong.) It's your life and you better live it, mon cheri. Ain't nobody got time to get home with your precious finds only to realize you've bought a bunch of unripe junk you can't savor for weeks. The deals are on deck here, but bring that discernment too. I was totes ready to buy the biggest box of K-Cups poppin' but realized there were better prices elsewhere. (Told you, I'm a-slavin' to these savin's.) Recently moved to the area, this is my local Costco now. I'm very pleased with this warehouse. The staff are friendly and helpful, the inventory and selection is extraordinary, and the food court is acceptable. This location has a much wider selection of snacks than the other locations nearby and friendly staff as well. Also very important-the coffee bean grinders work as expected. Nearby Concord location has very rude staff, poor inventory selection, and their coffee grinders don't work. Antioch Costco ftw! read more

I came to return an Apple Watch that was a surprise Christmas gift along with the Apple care. I didn't know that this return would take almost an hour, with the clerk, Tim, talking to the manager, all his coworkers, his supervisor and an Apple person on the phone. But... I was able to return the items! Tim was very calm, pleasant, understanding and patient the whole timer constantly thanking my mom and I for our patience with the whole experience. While this return took MUCH longer than expected, I have to give this Costco a huge props for excellent customer service at a time of year where it is probably the most stressful for those in retail. I purchased a watermelon on a Saturday. We cut it open on Monday. It was a spoiled watermelon. I called to see if I could get another one. Wouldn't have been a big deal if they refused the return because of Covid. But whoever I spoke with said I needed to bring the bad watermelon back for " audit purposes". Took my new prescription for glasses all of a sudden you are not allowed to bring your own frames. Have been taking my own frames for years now all of a sudden NO. 2 years ago they even lost my glasses no explanation, blamed it on the lab. This is how they get you to spend money on their frames. I have honestly avoided Costco for years because I've always hated the parking lots and lines. Sams club was always easier. I finally renewed July and got my card last week. Chanced a Friday night and it was not crowded at all and lines were ok. Writing this review because a worker, Lauren, went out of her way just got go get me more chocolate muffins because she said there was a BOGO deal. Usually very happy with my experiences shopping at this Costco but the past couple of times an employee named Shoulaine finds a way to make my experiences very unpleasant. I feel like she goes out her way to be very rude. I go to her line and say hi and she completely ignores me , makes a face and just continues to scan my items with a horrible attitude.
