Cora at Jewelry counter is an angel and gives EXCELLENT customer service. My one day off I like to shop and I can spend my money anywhere but I enjoy such good service and will be back!

Love this TJ Maxx! It's fun to walk around this store to check a huge variety of stuff - from home decoration items to dog toys. Speaking of which, they have a huge selection of dog toys. Found a little-lamb squeaky plush toy looking exactly like the one we had at home that our dog loved so much. The only difference was that the one we had at home had one of his ears already chewed off by our dog, lol, so I was so happy to find a brand new one. Our dog will go bananas when she sees the new one :)

Popped in with a friend. Loved all the Christmas options. I needed a Christmas outfit to wear at the local animal shelter for a few upcoming events. We did a Christmas Donation Drive and also 2 days of photos with Santa. Thank you TJMax for having just what I needed. I didn't want to spend too much- visions of it being ruined at the shelter. My dress is going strong. I plan to use it again next season. As well as stock up on more holiday items. I also stocked up on doggy toys. Such a great assortment. I always check out the flavored coffees as well. My parents love all the different flavors I find. A great, yet inexpensive way to show I remembered them, and think of them. Parking has never been a problem. I like to go in the morning- less crowded than later in the day.

    Free cockroach!

I love TJ Maxx, but who doesn't? I could get lost circling the store for hours in search of cosmetics, clothes and home goods that I desperately want but don't need. Recently, they have stepped up their game though. As a child, clothes came with a small toy or accessory. My adult self misses this small details almost as much as I miss justifying a McNugget Happy Meal. I was pleased to find that TJ Maxx is now offering additional items to go with a purchase!

Happy holidays to him. Tj maxx... taking hot to the maxx

It is a really nice department store that sells Men's, Women's, Junior's, and Children's clothing, cosmetics, shoes, toys, books and gifts. They also had a sale going on for clothing. The staff greeted us when we walked in. The inside was one huge space that was decide into different departments. I was immediately drawn to the beautiful displays of stationary and gifts right when we walked into the store. This store reminded of me of a store called Gottschalks department store that used to exist in Fresno California. They closed in the early 2000's. I loved that store and this place brought back many good memories of shopping there. Everything was so orderly and displayed so beautifully. The staff were exceptionally personable and friendly. I loved it here! They had a really nice men's department and shoe department. I didn't have a chance to thoroughly look at the women's section. I'll have to do that, the next time I come. I loved the kitchen items they had on display for entertaining. I ended up finding some really cute kitchen towels with kitty's all over them. I also found a nice baseball style hat with a lovely floral design on it, in the stationary section. They had lots of great gift ideas and unique items. I would definitely come here again in the future. I saw online that they have more locations in the North and East Bay, as well as Stockton. I hope to check out some of the other locations when I'm visiting those cities.

How much does a tissue paper cost?…read more Today I took my 83 year old mother out shopping to buy a baby shower stuffed animal. Her total purchase was $31. (2 stuffed animals purchased separately) I also purchased 3 baby books totaling $31. My mother asked for one of the stuffed animals to be wrapped in tissue paper to stay clean, and the woman who assisted her was very friendly and very accommodating to her disabled condition. However, the manager, D.Green, who checked us out at the register was reluctant to give us one more piece of tissue paper for the second stuffed animal when my mother asked for it - because it did not make the $20 minimum purchase gift wrap requirement. My mother did not ask for it to be gift wrapped. She asked for a piece of tissue paper, just so the fuzzy animal stayed clean. When the manager told my mother the purchase did not qualify for a piece of tissue paper, I spoke up and said I just bought $31 of books, does that qualify? She replied, 'no, that's on a different receipt' We left without the piece of tissue paper. I called the Store, and coincidently the Manager is who checked us out. I spoke to her because my mother was very upset and is a local resident. I do not live in the area. The manager stated she was following the policy. McCaulou's on Clayton Road just lost a local customer over a 5 cent piece of tissue paper! As a Manager myself I would never argue with a customer over a piece of tissue paper. The woman who wrapped the first gift was great, the Manager, however, needs customer service training as we were not rude or inconsiderate at any time towards her or any staff members.

I remember when some T-shirts were $2.99 or $3.99. now it's like $9.99 or $10.99 just for a T-shirt. the better bargains are in the bath/body/cosmetics department; and socks. Service was ok. waited in line for what felt like 8 tomorrows. only two cash registers open but all the cash register number lights were on. The Manager on Duty clearly saw the check-out line was already snaking around the corner and she pretended to not notice. not sure how this store works but I was always under the impression Managers also help out with check-out when needed. ‍maybe I'm naive to continue to still think this. but if that's the case and Management doesn't help out at cash wrap when the line is consistently building to check-out,... that's a horrible plan of management and good way to lose customers bc Lord knows no one wants to be standing in long line waiting for forever and 6mos to pay for their merch KNOWING there's only to cash registers open and all three are doing returns and repurchases at the very same time. great knowing and seeing the manager on site just walked up and down the cash wrap pretending to look busy and then staring at the check-out line for a few seconds and then go back to pacing. other than that, a new cash register opened and the young man who was our cashier was very kind and very thorough with his customer service! A+ for him. Service: 2.5/5 Selection: 2.75/5 Value: 0/5 for everything BUT cosmetics/hair/body/socks

Bargain Hunting Day at Marshalls - Episode 3, the Final Episode!…read more This was our final Marshalls stop of the day--and let me tell you, it couldn't have come soon enough for me. (If you've read my last two Marshalls stores reviews on this day, you'll know my supporting enthusiasm for bargain hunting had reached its limit! :-) That said, even in my bargain-fatigued state, I could see why my significant other was excited about this one. According to her, this Pleasant Hill location had the best selection of the day--and judging by the crowd, plenty of others agreed. It was the busiest of the three stores we visited, and while that meant things were a bit scattered (thanks to customers leaving items everywhere), the merchandise itself was impressive. I spotted a lot of familiar brand names on everything from shoes to clothes to home goods. This store seems like a solid place to find quality items without paying full price. While she was happily exploring, I hung out near the entrance and ended up chatting with a couple of staff members. Even though they were clearly busy, they were still answering questions and helping customers with genuine smiles. It was actually kind of fun to watch. We wrapped up our day with a few more great finds. She was happy--and that's a win in my book.

The store has seen better days for sure. Disorganized and scattered. Summer everything was on clearance and very limited. I did manage to luck out with flip flops and found some Reef flip flops marked down to 14$. I stood in line for so long my husband walked outside so he wouldn't get frustrated. I would have left too but I really want these shoes. They have a now hiring sign and it looks like they need employees fast! Another note, the employees that I did encounter were less than friendly. The entire store kinda has stale icky energy. Maybe if your current employees liked their job you would be able to attract more employees. I will probably visit again in the future but with low expectations. Maybe management will read this and fix it. Maybe build up your team morale;)

I slipped once and tried to write to write it off as a fluke but I slipped again shortly after and told an elder employee hanging clothes up to put out some cones because I just slipped twice, and I know they don't want anyone to get hurt. this encounter was the first time I had observed a fold out style caution sign but it was not in an aisle or walkway that was wet, it was folded up tucked between clothes on a shelving rack and the main support of that rack. I continued browsing in a part of the store where the flooring was not being mopped (the man was still walking the big mop around the main tiled aisles of the store). when I wanted to go to try on my items I walked towards the fitting rooms which was on the tiled walkway, still being cautious. I saw the fitting rooms were closed so I proceeded towards the checkout area when I suddenly slipped and fell on my knees. at this point I was furious. I hollered for a burlington employee but no one came. I was actually that person screaming in the store which is never a good look, I admit. I ended up having to continue walking on the wet and slippery floor all the way to checkout where I had to STILLL request for a manager despite being heard all throughout the store. this is where I met Jen. Jen was obviously not happy about my behaviour but proceeded to tell me they just have to do their job (the man mopping) and that there were cones out all over the store. I saw the one cone mentioned previously and only ONE other cone in an aisle that wasn't even for the wet floor it was for a spill that had occurred and there was the absorbent material that is poured over larger spills to soak them up. this whole long winded review to say I asked Jen for a corporate number, she rudely directed me to internet. I asked for the store number, she rudely directed me to the internet. there were no attempts to deescalate, no offer of an incident report, nothing. I even asked why isn't the mopping done before the store opens so they don't have to worry about this, no response. If someone is already injured or compromised they will really get hurt and if the way I was treated is any indicator of how someone who is truly hurt will be, it won't be great. It's dangerous.
