Ever since obtaining Costco membership for the last couple of years I've always gone to Costco to re-fuel as well. This review is for the Alhambra Costco location. I recently came here after work to fill up on gas for the week. Upon arriving to the driveway to Costco it was a long line to get in from all sides of the traffics light on Palm Ave. Cars were backed up from the gas line all the way to the street. Costco is currently undergoing construction so movement around the parking lot has reduced significantly. Hmm like it hasn't already? This is a pretty busy Costco. Gas prices are low, but getting into the vicinity is a long wait. FYI, Costco will also be doing construction on the gasoline area and are scheduled to close. Anticipation of re-opening is November 15th, 2018 as listed on the gas pump. read more

Came near closing and the line was still super long, going far down the street. The Costco warehouse was already closed so the line was able to go through the parking lot better. It looks like but actually went by fairly quickly. It snakes through oddly, but it's efficient. No complaints! read more

I used to hate coming here, but now I come here all the time to get gas after they installed 3 gas pumps per line now. Getting gas is super convenient and fast. I forgot to bring my card one time, so I showed them my Costco number using my Costco app & the staff used their card to help me get gas. Their staff there is also super nice, attentive, and friendly. read more

This is by far better than the others. Reason why I think so is because this Costco gas station has 3 areas per aisle and they have eight of them. Not bad for the evening time, but much better to get it in the morning when they first open up. That way there's no other crowd to deal with. read more

I've been coming to the Alhambra Costco Gas for over a decade. Every time, its a hassle to get in and out of the place and even after re-doing the gas station by adding more pumps its still a mess. People don't know how to NOT BLOCK the lane so someone is always stuck cause even more lines to get in. But, prices are unbeatable. read more

I can imagine that if this is your first time to fill out it can be to navigate the Costco parking lot get to Costco Gas. Just follow the line of cars and don't really look for the signage on where to turn in. The cost of gas is slightly cheaper than outside gas stations, maybe 5 to 10 cents depending on where you fill up. So I think that people fill up here not just for price, but because they think the quality in their mind is better than the gas at say Arco or no name brands. What I like about Costco Gas is that they have the pumps hoses that are long enough to reach no matter what side your gas fueling port is on on. Tip: You don't personally need a Costco membership to fill up, just have family or people who trust you enough to let you use their card and your own American Express card to put the charge on. read more

As prices of gas goes up everywhere people are flocking to Costco gas stations. The lines are long but it's the price one needs to pay for slightly cheaper gas. At least the lanes are clear of debris for the most part. If you want Costco gas but don't have a Costco card. Ask one of your friends who do to go get you a Costco reusable gift card so you can use it at the gas pump. read more

Hahahaha I should have gotten gas then, today it's 3.29 a gal Costco still has the best prices in town. 7-11 and Arco has it at 3.29 but that's for cash only. Non top tier USA Gas is at 3.33 it's not bad gas I've used it with no issues. Shell is at 3.55 a gal ouch!! Crazy long lines at Costco, but they have 3 pumps on each side so the wait is minimal. read more

When my car is crying for food, what better place to go make it happy than Costco gas?! I prefer this location mainly because it's "on" the way home. Technically, no cuhs i have to exit the freeway and drive all the way down, but I tell myself its on the way home. :) There's usually ALWAYS a long ass line, but that's typical for Costco Gas stations. I love that they FINALLY put up what I've been envisioning for the longest time, signals to show that a station is open in front of the car you're at. There's been so many times where I'll be waiting in the back and I see that a lane is open at the 1st pump, but the person in front of me doesn't see it, so we both are waiting for the back two pumps to finish before all moving to the front. Now that they have signals, I can always just see which pump is open and automatically move there. Costco gas is usually cheaper than most gas stations out there. Depending on the location of the Costco gas, prices all vary, but they're fairly similar, not too far off. You do need a Costco card of course, and they only take VISA credit cards. On July 13th, l filed my car up with $72 premium gas at alhambra Costco. After drive 5 minutes, my engine stopped running. I had to call the tow truck and had my car towed to the lexus dealership. It took them five days to find out what the problem was. As a last resort, they drained my gas tank and discovered water mixed in with my gas. The repair of my car was over $600! Costco will not take any responsibility. Let this be a warning, that costco as is terrible, l will never go to Costco again. Incidentally, my car has a locking gas opening, so no one could put water in my gas tank. Has anyone else had this problem? read more

Sometimes there's no one there. Sometimes you have to be patient. Be patient. No accidents happen when people are patient. The lines can get long but I've never waited a tremendous amount of time, maybe 15 minutes at the most. It's worth it though with the way gas prices can get high. You need a Costco card, but that seems silly to say because you need a Costco card to get into Costco so why wouldn't you need it for the gas too? NO CASH! 5 Stars for the Costco Gas prices, but 3 Stars for the Costco Gas long line and wait. I've passed by this Costco gas where there are cars lined up in the street waiting to enter the gas area. I suppose it's because there isn't another Costco Gas nearby (like there is in LA). The process is insert your Costco membership card, then pay with your ATM card. Alternatively, you can insert your Costco Amex, then pay with that card. Then, pump away!! This Costco is very close to Qualcomm Stadium, so I can only imagine how busy it is on game days/nights. Alhambra definitely strive for better service. This location was upgraded last year to three pumps for each line. Although the lines are faster than before but Costco need to figure out how to let us the driver know which pump is open. They could put small light on each pump so that the driver could see if there is middle pump that is available. Car flows also need to be maintained orderly when exit the gas station. The long lines and intersection sometimes so overwhelming that people cutting lines left and right . Hopefully we all could avoid any accident. read more

Such a bad layout to get in line to get gas. You've got a serpentine path through the parking lot just to get to the entrance of the gas station area. I would suggest going here on off-peak hours. You will save yourselves some frustration guaranteed. It's such a bad setup. If you have the unfortunate experience like I did, you will see what I'm writing about. read more

GO TO ANY OTHER COSTCO... you're welcome. This is the most crowded location I've ever been to for shopping and gas. I will never return to this location. It's not just that there are way too many people trying to get gas, it's that there isn't enough space for all these people. I give Costco credit for having their gas attended direct traffic and making it as efficient as possible but unfortunately this isn't enough to better the experience of members. It's this attempt that allows me to grant this gas station a 2-star review as opposed to just 1 star. If people know what they're doing and can pump their own gas in a timely manner, this is the place to go. Staff (rugged gentleman in work boots) is helpful and nearby. You can't beat Costco gas prices. Avoid rush hour times because the lines look like the US-Mexico customs check border. read more
