How does this location have stellar reviews? This has to be the most horribly engineered Costco Gasoline location. You have to snake through the parking lot, deal with the congestion of other shoppers trying to park or leave their parking spot. This location is a nightmare! The gas should have its own independent entrance and exit away from the main Costco. Also the lane between the gas pump is very narrow. I had to say a prayer as I drove my SUV through. The only positives is that I came here on a Friday at 3pm and the lines were short and of course the prices in comparison to typical gas stations. read more

This isn't my normal Costco gas station, but I was in the area and needed it right away. This station is honestly a pain to get to. By far the smallest parking lot I have ever seen for a Costco and that leaves for a lot of activity. This station is also much smaller than the one that I am use to frequenting. Either way, I was able to quickly get my gas (assuming you go before or after rush hour) and you can always count on Costco to have the best prices around. Why write another review for Costco Gas? Because. I definitely prefer the Costco Gas station along Telegraph Rd in Commerce. It's way easier to get to the pumps, although the lines can get pretty long, too. With the Alhambra pumps, you have to go around the parking lot and then into the gas area which isn't big to begin with. That's pretty much what I wanted to say. Someone hit my car and it made a large dent... this happened on a Sunday. People were aggressive and busy. People being aggressive and busy is not Costco's fault. It was a hit and run. There was only ONE PERSON assigned to the whole parking lot near the gas station. So he did not see what happened... Also THERE ARE NO CAMERAS IN THE PARKING LOT. Inexpensive gas prices ftw! Though if you come during peak hours you'll be waiting in line for at least 10-15 min depending on the day. I'd still go slightly out of my way to come here. You, of course, need a Costco membership card to activate the pumps and then any credit card to pay. And don't worry which side of the pump your car requires, they have one way flow of traffic and the pumps have a long nozzle so it can accommodate either side. read more

I think my cousin may have converted me to utilizing Costco gas... Ever since I can remember, my parents and I have been using 76 gas. But seeing as Costco's gas is 20-30 cents cheaper! WHOA. The only issue? The lines! Oh my gosh, I have never waited in line for gas for this long! And when I arrived on Thursday, my cousin said this was the fastest/ shortest line she's ever experienced. I can't imagine how terrible the lines must be and there are only about 10 gas tanks! This has to be the crappiest layout and customers that I have an issue with here. You have to get through the lot first, wind through because of all the blocked lanes. Ugh... just writing about this place gives me a headache. Cheaper gas than the surrounding areas, but is one of the more expensive Costco (probably because of the location, and it being the only one within 20 miles - closest ones are in Burbank, Azusa, Industry.. just to give you an idea). Long lines, idiots who block the ONE entrance so you can't make it to the shorter lines (actually no such thing, but a line further inside the station). I love Costco Gas.. don't get me wrong, it's just this location is just one big FAIL. God forbid that they're refilling fuel at the station - they close two lanes. TWO! 5 stars for cheap gas! They are open way before Costco actually opens. Came on a Sunday when Costco opened and waited less then 10 minutes. When you enter the parking lot, just follow the sign to enter the gas area. When leaving, there is only 1 direct way out, the other lanes are blocked off. There are about 7 lines with 2 pumps each. The line seems long but it moves pretty quickly. By far the cheapest gas you can find anywhere over 626. And they take VISA!!! read more

Sure this Costco is the BUsIEsT location in probably all of USA but only they carry the most Asian things that you won't find any where else! Compared to other locations, I've noticed that even the meats and produce are much fresher because of the high turn around rate. After all, if that many people are constantly in and out buying products, inventory won't be sitting there for a long time! That's one thing I really like about this Costco. Everything is waaaaaaay fresher ( is that a word?) but the lines are 30 min or more deep! Expect playing bumper carts and saying EXCUSE ME!!!! a lot here. How's the parking? Hahahaha Good luck! Costco gas became my default gas station after realizing they are cheaper than other local gas stations around my area. PROS - gas is cheaper, not sure if it's like Chevron Techron quality but hey, it's Costco! Everyone loves Costco! Even their gas! They do have assistance for members that are not able to pump gas on their own freely at certain times. Which is very very thoughtful and maybe it's by law that assistance are required. The gas station have new hours now! CONS - sometimes the line does get long. Also, you need Costco membership card AND American Express/Costco American Express/Debit Card in order to pump. This place has great prices for gas but there is a downside. The horrible layout of the parking lot that this gas station is located in makes you drive through an obstacle course in your car prior to even getting in the gas line. Also this parking lot is almost always jam packed with people trying to make their way inside Costco or souplantation. So add on pedestrians with carts that you also have to maneuver and be careful of. Be prepared to wait around for a couple minutes before actually getting gas because this gas station is poppin. We Asians know where the deal is at and we come flocking. The only time I didn't see a long line at this gas station was a few minutes before closing. read more

Living so close to this COSTCO is convenient, especially at 5:30 in the morning. The gas is not the cheapest of the COSTCO-Branded gas stations, but is clean and maintained well, just as all the others. One distraction to this location however is the crowds, which seem to be more so than any other COSTCO I've been to. The secrets to this COSTCO is to arrive extremely early, or near closing. Otherwise, it's a zoo getting gas, which if time were included, might be same as just going to a station that offers Ralph's or Vons discounts. Watch out for closed dispensers in your line, or fueling barricades on the left islands. If you're lucky, the attendant will allow some opening, which relieves traffic throughout. If you so desire not to spend a lot of time waiting to fill up, I would advise you to go here early to miss the daily traffic that can build up here as the hours go by. You really can't beat Costco gas prices! It looks like this Costco gas station is a bit more expensive than others according to other reviewers, but as I cannot be bothered to drive to the other Costco gas stations I have not verified this price discrepancy. And even if it is true, this is still the cheapest quality gas station in this area! The only problem is that the layout for the gas line is really ridiculous. It's this odd maze that allows for other cars to cut in at several points (which is so annoying), and often ends up with the entire street intersection being blocked by cars waiting in this line. Who designed this parking lot and decided this was the best layout for the gas line?! So strange. But since it is really close to my work, I still end up coming here almost every week. COSTCO, THE $100.00 STORE! Way back when, this Costco was the first Price Club my fam belonged to. It was where mom purchased her first microwave, dad probably purchased his first oversized something or other. It was the only shopping we did as a family. Woo to the hoo!! Family night at Costco. Oy!!! Anywhoo, it's been a Costco since the merger in 1993. Not much has changed, still offers enough raw, frozen, and cooked food to feed several Armed Services, as well as drugs, both script and OTC, household items, auto items, entertainment items, HECK!! It offers pretty much anything. And if you've ever been inside a warehouse full of "stuff," you know, it's not easy walking out the roll up doors without spending at least $100.00. Which isn't bad if you have a big family, or purchase wisely, purchasing items that will last longer than a couple of weeks. Most items found at Costco are typically less expensive than anyplace else. When Beloved Hunter, Springer Lab, was recovering from cataract surgery I had his scripts filled at Costco. Since his condition wasn't covered by insurance, and he was on so many scripts, I had to determine the least costly place that would satisfy what he needed. Costco was the place. Even scripts for me that aren't covered under my insurance are less expensive at Costco. And we all know, based on peeps repeated check-ins and posting of petrol prices to Costco gas is typically less than anywhere else. Sure, you need a Costco membership to shop, even fill up the tank, but do the math, I betcha the membership is paid for within a couple of months of just filling your tank. Maybe a bit longer for hybrids. The downside to filling up at Costco are the lines, however, Monday-Friday they open at 5:30 a.m., Saturday and Sunday 6:00 a.m. there aren't too many peeps filling up at that time. It's fast and easy, no walking to a booth or inside a store to pay and retrieve change. Just swipe, pump, and go. It's easy peasy!!! Having trouble pumping?
