PHENOMENAL!! Before…read morecoming here, I had gone somewhere else for my earwax impaction. The OTHER place was extremely rude and unprofessional. I was hesitant to try another audiologist. When I came to Atlanta Hearing Associates, it was such a warm, friendly, welcoming and professional place, right from my first step through the door. This was a night and day difference from the other place I went to. As a clinician myself, I appreciated her warm, friendly, and informative approach, unlike the other place I went before. Best of all, she was able to clear my impacted ear within 3 minutes (which the other place said would take 2 weeks worth of visits to do). I could not have had a better experience. Thank you Dr. Prince!

I sent them a message via the website over the weekend to get more information about the ear wax removal process. Rhonda replied Monday via email answering any questions I had. I then made an appointment for 10:30am Saturday. I was running a little behind Saturday but they were understanding. When I got there I filled about 3 pages of information and then Dr. Jodi came and took me to the back. She was very nice and personable. She was telling me what we all already know, don't use a tips, lol. She then checked my ears. To my surprise my left ear was clear so she only did the process on my right ear. The amount of wax that she got from the ear wasn't much but at least it was gone. It's $30 per ear for the ear wax removal process. They don't take insurance but you do have the option to use your HSA to pay.

Have you ever fallen into the weird dark side of YouTube and spent hours watching videos you…read morewouldn't have watched otherwise? I was watching a Buzzfeed video and stumbled upon an ear wax extraction video and the dark hole began. There's something really satisfying (albeit gross) watching ear wax being removed from people's ears. I was always interested in getting it done, but I thought it was too expensive and didn't think I needed it done. BOY WAS I WRONG. For the past week and a half, my right ear was super clogged and it was really hard to hear out of that ear. Usually, if I leave it alone, the problem resolves within a couple of days, but unfortunately it seemed like it was getting worse. I tried using ear wax softeners, but that didn't really clear up the problem either. I was tired on not hearing clearly and felt like I was annoying people by asking them to repeat things over and over, so I decided to finally bite the bullet and get my ear wax removed professionally. I sent a request for information about their services on Sunday night and received a phone call from their office on Monday morning. Super prompt service! I was able to schedule an appointment for the next day (today). Insurance doesn't cover ear wax removal, but the prices are very very reasonable. It only costs $30/ear but the results are well worth it. The doctor will take a look to see whether you have to do both ears or not. Although I was only having trouble hearing out of my right ear, I decided to get both ears done because I was already doing one ear - why not do both? The process was relatively quick - less than an hour to clean out both ears. The doctor explained the process beforehand and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. It is a little uncomfortable with the suction so close to your ear, but it's surprisingly very therapeutic in a weird way hearing the ear wax being extracted. As soon as she removed the ear wax from my right ear, I could instantly hear better and a whole new world opened up. After she removed the left ear, everything sounds 10x clearer and I'm disappointed I didn't do this earlier! Even though I wasn't having problems with my left ear, it was surprising (and really gross) to see how much old ear wax was in my ear. I'm not sure how I could even hear with all that junk in my ear. I highly recommend everyone to get your ear wax professional removed at least once if you can. I can hear things so much better now (it's actually jarring how loud things are now) and it's relatively inexpensive considering the benefits that come with it.

The whole process of becoming a new patient, the online forms, and the cheerful welcome by Brandi at the front desk made for a great first impression. Dr. Ali in the Decatur office is terrific: he very patiently, skillfully performed what can often be an irritating, anxiety-laden procedure using micro-suction and water flushes - he did a thorough job with minimal discomfort. I appreciated his questions, comments and instructions as he was both warm and kind. I will go back when this procedure is needed again and would definitely consider AHA for any other hearing-related needs. I'm a very satisfied patient - thank you!

I lost 85% of my hearing in an accident in 2015 when I was out of town visiting friends. Upon…read morearrival back to Atlanta, I immediately went to the Doctor at Advanced Hearing Centers and got an examination. (the exam from the doctors office was covered by insurance) ... please note... The Exam Only. Right away (even the Doctor) was more interested in getting me fitted with hearing aids than diagnosing the damage. This was my first "clue" but there is nothing that can be done when you are at the mercy of a Doctors' diagnosis. I had lost my hearing, and I was easy prey. Next, I went downstairs to have another hearing test done, and that was where the scam started revealing itself. But again. when a person is at a disadvantage there is nothing you can do - after the fact. Insurance does not cover hearing aids no matter how you lost your hearing unless you are willing to forgo years without aids and shell out thousands of dollars until your case is cleared. The cost is on you so please do your research! I was treated by a very young audiologist (wish I could give you her name!) and I am not an elderly person. She spoke to me in a very disrespectful (demeaning) way which by itself made me irritated, but she seemed to be robotic in her nature. Never made direct eye contact with me, and never addressed me as an individual...etd..etc. She spoke more about her upcoming wedding than tuning the hearing aids! After much inquiry about the different models displayed she insisted on Starkey Hearing Aids as the "very best on the market" blah, blah...well... what do I know? I didn't have a clue as to which devices were better than the others I couldn't hear and I needed help! I purchased the Starkey Z series ($5,475.00) which came with a Sure Link unit ($500.00 extra) to be able to hear phone calls and television thru it. She was so excited to sell me these "new technologies".. uh hunh. I see, you get a commission from Starkey, as I would assume you would get from any other models displayed in your office, but STARKEY must pay you higher. Here is the result and reason for my complaint - I have had to replace the first unit for a manufacturing issue, and now the "replacement" has failed, and you guessed it, the warranty is up. That's right... $700.00 to replace the 2nd unit for faulty manufacturing. When I spoke to this (same woman) audiologist at (advanced Hearing Centers) she announced in the waiting room in front of waiting clients... "You are the only person with this problem" WOW! ... sure I am. I have checked with Consumer Affairs and seen numerous complaints about Starkey so no - I'm not buying your BS for a second time! How utterly disrespectful she was and had been, throughout the process of adjustments which has taken a FULL YEAR of monthly visits to "get it right". I wish I had someone like myself warning me about the practices at this place... I would have found somewhere else to go. So, Buyer Beware! Starkey will NOT support you as customer - like Advanced Hearing Centers they are only interested in milking you for money.

Good hearing aid center is tough to fine. After being thoroughly disappointed with cosco "hearing…read moresales technician" we went to visit this place because it is run by an ENT group my sister had visited. Anyway, they did a good job making appointments easy for my Mom, and were able to get her a pair of hearing aids that have made a huge difference. She's been back a couple times to have them cleaned and checked and has no complaints. Fair simple and easy to deal with!
