This Costco is probably one of the more mellow ones on the island--at least during weekdays! Lucky for me, it's not too far from where I live. But let's be real, weekends are a whole different story. Parking can be a nightmare, and you'll need patience to handle the lines at checkout. If you can swing a weekday visit, though, it's a much more pleasant experience. One of the things I love most about this location is their selection of local goodies. They carry everything from fresh poke to Portuguese sausage, sweet potato and taro chips, furikake party mix, and even Honolulu Cookie Company treats. The local flair really sets it apart from mainland Costcos. The store itself is clean and well-organized, and the staff here are always welcoming and friendly--they really embody the aloha spirit. I only spend about $5000-$6000 a year here, do I not deserve at least a smile? The store itself is great, clean, organized, not AS crowded as the Iwilei location, but for the hideous service I have gotten from 1 women alone, over and over for YEARS---DONNA--damn women I cringe getting in your check out line. Makes my large photo envelopes roll under the belt as I am clearly trying not to have them damaged, throws my apples and bread as if they can't get smashed and bruised, never looks me in the eyes, and has THE WORST customer service in all of the Costco's combined...how is this allowed?? Maybe because there is simply no way to let a manager know? Try calling to speak to one---not gonna happen!!! I have tried on every occasion of having this witch check me out . FICO impact: All of you new Costco Visa card members. You probably received an e mail recently which states "Citi won't be assessing late fees for payments due June 20‑July 31, 2016." Well, check your billing statement because they charged interest instead. The amount may appear insignificant, say $1 or more. My closing date was 6-20-16 which was the first day of the changeover from Amex. I googled and found there were 50,000 Amex Costco card holders. Assuming the majority of Amex holder became Citi Costco Visa card members, Citi just made at least $50,000. All of us need to call or send a message via your account message sender to dispute the interest charge. It is a matter of principle. Either deception or stupidity on Costco's part. read more

I'm giving this 2 stars because number one the fridge is absolutely beautiful amazing quality just an amazing French doors, great quality product however. The delivery is another story if you're going to be having delivery from Costco, please think again they told me two weeks to deliver that I had to order online,,,,which turned into one month and one week later. Also, when the white glove delivery people shows up they can't even install the ice line because they can't figure out how. Costco is a huge life saver for us! We live just a few blocks away and love having the convenience of a Costco so close to us. Their prices are amazing on the things we eat in bulk - like eggs, asparagus, oats, apples, etc. I just wished their carried everything we bought - the grocery stores here in Hawaii can be expensive. I think my wife buys so many eggs that they call her the egg-lady and recognize her on the way in. We've had nothing but great experiences with Costco - great prices, great service, great return policy, and in Hawaii Kai - great community feel. I'm new to yelp and want to review a few places I've frequented and share a bit of knowledge with everybody... Don't go here! Any time, day night weekend, Wednesday, Monday, whatever Costco is always packed! Yes they have good deals on bulk items but so do other bulk suppliers like SAMs. Why you I have to wait 20 minutes to find a parking stall? Why is it cart bumper cars in there every single time I go? Like I need to take a 5 hour energy before I go in just to stay on my toes!! There are definitely better places to find great deals on bulk items without the headache! read more

High quality merchandice, great prices. But what really clinches it for me is their really good return policy. Its a pretty much no questions asked return policy, you dont have to hang on to the receipt they keep track of it. Only draw back is for certain items like TVs and computers its limited to 90days - I guess too many people were taking advantage of the returns and getting free upgrades. I still love the place - and the food court is a super cheap place to eat. Their optical department is also a great place to get your contacts or glasses. read more

This was our favorite place to go for groceries but during this pandemic we had to avoid going there because of the crowded people buy tons of toilet paper and sanitizers. Before the pandemic we would shop there weekly getting the best prices in town buying in bulk. We enjoyed the fresh fruits and vegetables. We especially liked the beef and bison choices. The customer service was always great. The workers always had time to assist us and answer questions. We miss going here hopefully next month we shall return. Thank you very much. read more

I hate going to Costco. No matter what day or time it's a challenge. The parking, the lines, and I'm not sure I need most of the items I'm buying in bulk anyway. They never have anything new. Same ol stuff all the time. Except the one thing you need. They will be out of that or have moved it somewhere that you can't find. The employees are less than friendly. Mainly came here to say that the customer service here sucks - especially with KATHLEEN who was suppose to help me with my membership but instead was super condescending and didn't even let me get a word in regarding my issue. She asked me "Do you want to speak to my manager so they can tell you the exact thing?" When all I was doing was trying to explain what was said to me the last time I was there. AUWE - refund counter SUCKS - had line going out the front door and shift supervisor did NOTHING. we know it is near closing time but use common sense, had 5 staff tend to 1 refund counter. hope Manager of store reviews his security tape and sees how HAPPY their CUSTOMERs/members were . no response nor acknowledgment from staff wen we got to thel front aftah 35 mins . or at least open another counter - COMMON SENSE read more

I was happy to see they had many organic fruits and vegetables in bulk. Where else can you get 2 pound bags of organic blueberries? On the islands it's a little more difficult to find organic foods without spending a fortune. Costco makes it a little easier. read more
