Needed to stop in for some goodies to send off to my friend on the mainland. This Wholesale Unlimited Express shop im Kaneohe is a little store in the corner in the strip mall behind Zippys. Although they are small, they do carry many of the snacks that you would find at their main store in Waipahu. They have a wide array of mochi crunch and iso peanuts as well as seeds, gummies, cookies, beef jerkey, and other local treats. The variety is so big that it was a little hard to decide what to get. I love that most of their goodies come in different sizes so you could get smaller amounts or bigger amounts if you wish. The employee that assisted me was very friendly and helpful. She offered assistance and answered all of my questions. This is a great to shop visit for your local goodies on the windward side.

Seed selection seemed to be limited compared to that of. the Moanalua location. They had a good cookie selection (Betty's Best). Their kakimochi (arare) selection takes up a whole wall. Waited in line while the clerk tried to process a gift card for a. customer in front of me. After a number of tries the customer ended up paying with a credit card. Service other wise was good.

Looking for a special gift? How about some omiyage? Need a housewarming or Christmas present? Is someone's birthday, graduation or retirement party coming up? How about a candy lei? A Gummy Bear lei? A mochi crunch lei? Our dear friend is leaving soon for a year in Florida and I wanted to get him a special lei. Flowers look and smell nice, but perhaps a foodie lei would be more appreciated? I chose a Gummy candy lei so he can chew on something while pondering and thinking about his friends in Hawaii... with sweet memories... Wholesale Unlimited Express in Kaneohe may not have everything that the other locations have, but they sure have enough of a selection! There are pre-assembled gift baskets, bottled dressings and jellies, pancake and kulolo mixes, cookies, beef jerkey, li hing mui and preserved fruits, etc. I thought about these gifts that need to be carried. A lei for the Guest of Honor is hands-free and is visible to everyone! There's free parking, good lighting and great air conditioning in this tidy shop. The service is satisfactory and helpful! I'll return for more gifts (or a snack for myself) for sure!

A great place to buy snacks! I used to always buy from the Kahala location which is gone to make way for the new additional stores of the Kahala Mall Shopping Center across the street. I live right up the street. Oh, wells. Now, I just buy from any of their other locations that they have. So, far I went to the one in Waipahu and this one in Kaneohe. When I am in the area I drop by and pick up some snacks! I like that they have the bigger 14 ounce packages and the snacks last a little longer. The smaller 7 ounce packages is good for when you want to try something different. They have pretty much anything that you can imagine in snacks! This place is easy to get to, plenty parking, a quick in and out and you are on your way. I like this location and I will continue to come back for my snacks or for presents(care packages) to give away to friends that don't live here anymore and they miss Hawaii.

Some newer items like old school style maki rolls...not the overly sauced and smothered in crunchy distractions like deep fried scallions or crunchy garlic...but the type of rolls I grew up with. With these sushi rolls comes a couple packages of Japanese wasabi that actually real wasabi root in it. That really took me by surprise. Also included are Yamasa shoyu packs as well as some small packs of ginger also from Japan. The rolls are cut into 8 pieces and run $13 ish. A great deal. The other new-ish thing they have is a pack of marbled blue and monterey cheese slices. It looked super interesting so I picked one up...that sh*t is delicious. I'm gonna have to pick up more and put it in the freezer since like most things at Costco, it will inevitably disappear from the shelves. And speaking of things that disappear never to be seen again is the garlic spread Toom. That was super garlic forward with a hint of lemon juice. It was sold as a dip but I used it in so many sauces. I'm sad to see it missing from the shelves.

But really, we all love this place despite this, and the workers are super efficient about trying to get us out as fast as possible which is really nice. Their poke has new items now which is really cool. Salmon mango ceviche sounds awesome and not sure how au poke tastes but would love to try them in the future. Finally got to try their Hazelnut beignets and they were fun sized, delicious to boot. I come here almost weekly and probably will continue to do so in the future. The only thing to add is that there never seems to be enough parking but not sure what they can do to add more.

Even if I could prove that the product is counterfeit, they would not give a refund and would only allow an exchange. I had to go through a stressful exchange with my credit card company of having to dispute a credit card purchase for the first time. This place is generally great if you are a jewelry maker. They have a great selection of crystal beads and genuine freshwater pearls. However, the guy tried to convince me a $600 string of greyish-bluish pearls are genuine "Tahitian pearls" and even the tag says "Sourh Sea Pearls." I made the mistake of not rubbing the pearls before I purchased. Generally, genuine pearls have a slightly gritty feel, and never completely smooth, when rubbed together or when rubbed against your teeth. So when I rubbed it after I purchased, I walked back to the store about 10 minutes later asking for authentication for the pearls and was told there was none. The guy has a language barrier so he took me to the lady next door who also tried to convince me the pearls are genuine even when I told her the pearls are rubbing smoothly. Also -- even if this purchase wasn't such a huge flop, I've been to this store a couple times before I purchased anything. The guy was on his phone the whole time which made a couple of sounds that iPhones make when you take a photo or take a screenshot, so I felt suspicious that he was taking photos of me maybe because he suspected that I'd steal. He was generally disinterested in having to service me.

Shopping in Honolulu's Chinatown…read more.. My friend, Jules, and I were strolling around Chinatown, when we took a detour and stopped inside of a shop called A1 Trading. Even though the door was open, I could feel some air conditioning! (Even though it's "winter", February is still warm in Hawaii at noontime)! The wall to the left was filled with all kinds of bracelets, lucky jade charms and keyrings! I got some good luck (red with a Chinese coin) bracelets that were 4 for $10 - for when I go to Las Vegas with my mom and sister. I also found a cute Hello Kitty key chain that I can give as a nice gift some day! Jules was looking at the jade bangles. They were different prices according to quality. They were offering her a discount on something that fit. However, she wanted a different bracelet that was larger and had a darker color. Maybe she will ho back after she thinks about it more... Anyway, the service was friendly and helpful. The shop had some nice items that I would get later. Now I know where to shop! Note: we went on a Sunday when metered street parking is free!
