Customer service manager is very arrogant. I renewed my membership online. This Costco still wants to charge me another membership fee. One of the employee find my online renewed membership. A customer service manager came in and blindly said she cannot see the renewed membership. She is lying. Because our bank account clearly shows that the Costco charged us twice. This manager has a very bad attitude. She is very snobby and keeping telling me that she let us shopping at Costco. I am wondering why this Costco would promote a manager like that. If there was a PeopleofCostco.com I think I would end up on there a lot more than I care to admit. I do the full Costco deal, up and down every aisle, check the diamonds out (blang blang!), clothes, books, food, booze, meds, candy, magazines, office supplies, auto care, kitchen supplies, make up, every damn aisle is a friend of mine. The customer care is okay- use to be a lot better. I think too many people take advantage of polices and staffs gotta crack down! wuh-PSSSH! They certainly get those lines moving until you get behind someone who "lost their card" or "needs extra boxes".. which is whatever, gotta expect it. Gives you time to rethink any impulse purchases. Its the like the old saying "before you leave the house remove one accessory" well before you check out of Costco, remove one item. Food Court: Oh what what.. love this place. Why would you not eat here? Oh you don't eat pork? Me either! All beef hot dogs baby. Oh you don't eat meat? Been there, order a cheese pizza slice. Vegan? Have a fruit bowl or churro... (I think that's vegan?) Like it all or nothing? Get that supreme 18" pizza for $10, don't forget to add 3 scoops gelato for the walk back to car. The reason I went with four stars is because of the parking lot. Its too bad Yelp doesn't have a "crappy parking" check box to let Yelpers know this location requires some patience! I have a love-hate thing going on with this store... I hate the parking situation here - have literally waited 15-20 minutes to find a parking spot in an area that didn't make my nose bleed. I hate how crowded - no RIDICULOUSLY crowded - this store ALWAYS is, especially on the weekends. I'm telling you that it is a fire, safety and any other type of hazard you can think of on a Saturday or Sunday (or Friday afternoon, etc.). YOU GUYS AT COSTCO REALLY NEED TO BUILD ANOTHER STORE IN EITHER BELLEVUE OR REDMOND!! This is nuts! I get totally stressed out just going through it to get my stuff and how people just abandon their carts in the middle of the aisles to waddle up to every single sample lady and grab them some food. People have you seen yourselves in the mirror lately? Your badonkadonk doesn't really need that extra bite of Brownie Bit that nice lady is dishing out! And please curb your carts so that those of us that wish to drive by can without pushing all your carts out of the way. Word to the wise: If you can come here during off hours mid afternoon or mid morning Monday thru Thursday, you'll find it a real pleasure to shop. Friday's can be horrid and worse after 3pm. Forget Saturday and Sunday altogether. Okay, now that the rant is out of the way... I love the quality of their food - and their prepared foods and cheeses are truly great quality. We especially love their take and bake pizzas. Meat Lovers and Hawaiian are our fav's but I'll share a little secret that will make you all run out to this hot mess of a store and buy one of these. We buy their cheese only pizza and get a bunch of fresh garlic. We squeeze A TON of garlic on the pizza, spread it around, then bake it. It's like garlic bread pizza with all the oozy cheese. Crazy good. I love the value you get here for your money and especially for the high quality of products. Their prices can not be beat. Oh yeah, you buy enough to survive Armageddon, but it's worth it. We're also looking forward to when they start to sell liquor there - I'm sure their selection will be great (their wine selection AND priced are really AWESOME). I love that Costco offer gas around 49 cents cheaper than any other stations around. Its also convenient that you can pull up when its your turn getting gas & the hose reaches to either side. The last time I was at this location I had difficulty using a hose (1st set of pumps) & had to move to another pump. Not that big of a deal, I suppose. I dont like that people dont pay attention to when to pull up which can cause a delay. Always really clean station on the positive note! read more

The reason Costco is so great is that you know you're consistently getting a B+ product at a C- price. And it's not depressing to be in. 80% of what they sell is a good or great deal. The prepared food is also very good. I buy mostly food, books and occasionally housewares. Their rolling metal shelves are really kick-ass for your garage and $72 per set. The food court has been improved - they have a way to have you mostly inside now. I'm not sure how you can bag on this Costco for not having gas... I think it was the original Costco, wasn't it? Anyway, as some reviewers mentioned they don't have enough parking, despite buying up more space, and gas would only make it worse. read more

The BEST Ice cream Berry sundae I have ever had, hands down - a huge 16oz for like 1.60 or something ridiculous. Even without a membership, you can come here to EAT. They also have free samples of almost everything in the store so you can taste the food before you buy it. The cafe outside is dirt cheap. Their tire center is pretty great. I ended up getting my new set of tires there, and their staff knew all about the tires they're selling. I quizzed them on all the tires I researched and they were right on point. I had to special order the tires on Monday night and they said that it would arrive on "Thurs or Fri." I was a bit worried because I really needed to use my car on Friday night, but sure enough, they called me on Friday morning and got it installed. I love it when people come through! Being a single yuppie, you would think that there's nothing for me at Costco -- what am I going to use 10 pk of toothpaste for??? ha! There are actually plenty of reasonable stuff I get from Costco and they're all quality. A lot of their things are really not as big as people make it out to be. Some of what I like to get are: 1 lb boxes of ready-to-eat organic baby spinach (or mixed veggies) for 3.99!!! READY TO EAT!!! NO WASHING!!! YESSSSSSSSSS!!! I can munch on it, cook it, munch on it while cooking food, munch on it while cooking it... the possibilities are endless. Vitamin Gummies. The bottle is just slightly bigger than normal. I never forget to take my vitamin gummies :b.... The childproof lid is also great to keep my coworkers at bay. Kirkland brand trash bags -- Somehow these are my favorite trash bags. What? You don't have a favorite trash bag? Canned Dole pineapples and other canned fruits. Fresh fruits? BAH! maybe cuties! Champion socks!! These are the greatest socks of all time. They stay soft and elasticky for evar! When my shoes are off, I've had people come up to me and say, "hey! Who does not love Costco? I've really come to trust Costco, and their attention to the importance of some things, including providing high quality products that are often conscious products as well. They offer what people are looking for... whether it's non-GMO, gluten free, vegan, healthy. I love that their Kirkland brand dog foods are grain-free. I love that their Kirkland brand shampoo/conditioners aren't tested on animals. I love that they make their own prepared foods. I love that they treat their employees well, and pay them well. Everyone is always busy looking, and in any of the area locations they are constantly busy! Oh, and their pizzas from their concession stands are one of my favorites. They provide a huge value on their ON protein powder, that are isolates, and their pre-workouts. I can't find that deal anywhere else. I was able to get a picture printed on canvas and wrapped for less than $30. BARGAIN!! I would really love for them to provide free-range eggs, and more consumer conscious meats and fish. I decided to use the this program to buy my slightly .used car 2012 Acura from Lynnwood Acura First I filled out an on line form and my membership information. I listed the car I wanted to buy and my zip code. I was then given the dealer that participated in the program and names to contact at the dealership. The main reason I used Costco was so that I would not have to hassle with prices, they provide a list of prices for car you are interested in and then beat the price by $500.00. I even did better than that lowest price, so that is the first benefit of using Costco. Second, is that you get a huge savings on the tack on items that you might want after the cost of the car, for instance I chose the body and interior protection package, that was listed at $1,200 and paid $900 for it because of membership. I also saved on the Service Package that included oil changes and tune ups. After this Costco sent me a certificate for $200 off of parts or service to the dealership. I used it to buy products for my car. If you are thinking about buying a new or used car, consider using the Auto Buying Program, what can you lose? Five Stars for me! Believe me...Costco will back you up if you have ANY problem with the dealership just let them know and they will get to the bottom of the situation and make things right, I know they helped me solve some issues and they wanted to know if I was happy with their service. This review is about the Tire Center only. There is a man working here named Jin who was so extremely rude to me and flat out lied to me. I dropped my car off first thing in the morning as a walk in (which they said they accept 4 walk ins per day) Great! They said I'd have to leave my car there all day but they would call me when it was ready. So I leave my car there and have to Uber home and mind you I simply just needed them to patch a leak. So I wait all day and finally about 20 mins before they're suppose to close I decide I'm going to just Uber back there because I need my car back regardless. So I get there and notice my car is in the exact same parking spot I left it this morning. I walk in and nobody is at the front desk. So I wait a few mins and good ol Jin walks in quickly through the doors and looks at me and aggressively says "WERE WORKING ON YOUR CAR AND WILL CALL YOU WHEN ITS READY!" doesn't even stop as he is walking to the shop door. Doesn't even give me time to reply... I'm just standing there like wtf... you're not working on my car because it's still sitting outside and by this time they were closing in 10 mins. He proceeds to go into the shop and I can hear him bitching to the other guys about me. I literally didn't do anything to be annoying because showing up to get my car even though they hadn't called... I was so freaking nice to them. So anyways I just stand there waiting like an idiot and right at about 6pm when they're suppose to be closing my car gets pulled in. I nicely asked if they couldn't patch it for some reason to please put the spare on. So I see them take the bad tire off and check in for 5 mins or so and then go to the trunk and take the spare out... great. Then another gentlemen who was very nice comes out and explains that they couldn't repair the tire because of how the nail was jammed into the tread.... Oh okay so we put your spare on and off your go. Next day I go to Discount Tires on 124th. They got me in and out in 35 mins and found 2 nails in the tire, patched them both and off I went. This review is for the Costco Optical in Kirkland. Extremely disappointed and upset that they ruined my frames. I brought a pair to have lenses made for frames I purchased online. The optician who I ordered through made a point of telling me several times they weren't a good frame for my face, and my very high Rx and that eventually the lenses would warp. Every time I said I understood, and I would deal with needing to get new frames made in a year or so. For the record, the frames fit my head at this point. Upon picking them up, the frames were stretched so big they didn't even rest on my ears. Also let the record show I have a pretty large head. And again, they fit the first time around. The optician working at this point said plainly "oh yeah, these won't fit" and went into an explanation of how due to the thick, heavy lenses required to make my blind eyes see, combined with the large chunky frames I picked out (sorry but that's what's en vogue these days) they'd be too heavy and large to wear. This information would have been REALLY helpful when I dropped them off. I asked why they'd go ahead and make them - and charge me money - if it was an impossible feat. She really didn't have an answer but continued to tell me it was a lost cause as she gave a half genuine attempt to heat the plastic and mold them to my face. My personality doesn't lend itself well go managing frustration so I left with glasses that didn't fit. Before pushing it further i was able to heat them up under a hair dryer and they fit a lot better. Frustrating that optician #2 couldn't take the time to do that. So the truth is I don't read long Yelp reviews and usually feel like people should take it up with the place rather than typing it on yelp. But I'm annoyed and I'd hate for anyone else to sacrifice super cool frames they found online because the folks here don't fairly warn you of your options or take 5 minutes to resolve a bad situation. read more

Wow, the tire shop here has the worst service I have ever experienced. Not only do they not fix emergency repairs on tires you buy for them without making you wait multiple hours, they also don't even honor their appointment system. After them refusing to fix my tire without a 3+hour wait, I made an appointment. When I showed up 15 minutes prior to the appointment they said hey would get me in as soon as they could, even with an appointment. Over an hour past the appointment time they are just starting the repair. Never again............. read more

Parking is horrid; on a weekend, save yourself 15 minutes, park in the far lot and get some exercise :) I am always confused by the family in an SUV/minivan that will wait (impatiently) for another family to pack their 3 shopping carts of stuff into the trunk--this takes around 15-20 minutes sometimes... My strategy for lines has been to lean left--most people shop counter-clockwise, so finish the clock instead of getting in one of the lines next to the pharmacy area. Cheap bulk stuff, crazy-lenient return policy--awesome. Recommendations: - Foster Farms Breast Nuggets (frozen): very simple ingredients, easy prep, delicious - Gummy Vites (medicine area): delicious vitamins that taste better than most gummy bears IMHO--candy bears are too sweet, these are just right - Hearts of Romaine: 6 romaine hearts for $2.99? I love Costco. My main 17th birthday present from my dad was him getting himself a Costco membership and getting me a subcard. I'm not kidding. That was it. And it was AWESOME. Cue almost five years later, where I am the spoiled brat whose daddy stocks her apartment with a monthly trip to Costco. Yeah, I'm a lucky girl. This is my favorite location of Costco because it's close to my apartment and always seems to have newer, fancier things in stock [compared to our other frequent Costco, the one on Aurora in Shoreline] -- favoritism to Kirkland? Obviously as people have pointed out, not everything is cheaper... but bleu cheese salad dressing, mozzarella cheese, huge bags of spinach, Lactaid pills and Aranciata/Limonata are always on my list. I recently took some of my Japanese foreign exchange student friends here for sample hopping... they loved it! Some of my other friends have asked me to take them here, too! It's a Costco, items in bulk on the cheap with a paid membership & cheap (price not quality) food (giant hotdogs & slices of pizza) served at the little food-stand-like thingy on the outside. Nice to be able to buy certain items for a significant savings from stores outside (things like maple syrup, organic brown rice, organic quinoa, etc.) & a very generous return policy. The only gripe I ever really have about any Costco is that their parking lots absolutely suck. I know that the Kirkland Costco is currently re-doing their parking lot so it's currently worse than normal (is that possible?) but in general the layout is just horrendous. It's like they purposely asked a blind man to draw what he thinks a good parking lot design is using a paintball gun to shoot at a piece of paper 50 feet away, & then they actually use it. The parking lots never seem to make sense, always having people with their oversized carts full of oversized packages pushing their carts through crowded & busy isles only to cross a main isle where all the cars enter/exit & not expect them to get hit. The motherland of Costco in Kirkland! I have not seen the Aloha Chips in California for several months, and oh man, was I super happy to see that it was in stock at the Costco in Kirkland. Of course, this Costco would have it! Notes: - Parking can get tedious and difficult to find. - One thing it does not have is a gas station. - ~30+ Minutes from Seattle. I only went here because I wanted to see the Kirkland one. If you need a Costco for goods, I suggest choosing the one closest to you. Fun Facts: Milk containers are flat, which may appear normal if you're a local at this Costco. Maybe the Costco in Kirkland likes the top of their milk containers flat. Didn't have my wig on me that day so I couldn't go around for seconds. Other than that, the staff is friendly and helpful. I cannot believe I'm giving four stars to Costco...I spent my 20's avoiding this place at all costs and mocking anyone who shopped here. Don't get me wrong - it still freaks me out on many levels. The clientele is mostly terrifying, whether due to sheer girth, cart speed, or number of screaming children in tow. God knows why I agreed to accompany my mom here on a shopping trip yesterday (well, actually, I do know why: because if I go shopping with her and I'm very good, she buys me stuff. Like I'm eight. It's awesome.) She had to get new hearing aids (she would KILL ME if she read this) and I guess the Kirkland Costco can hook you up with that. I got to sit outside the soundproof booth for almost an hour waiting for her, and watching Costco shoppers in their natural environment. So my mom finds the right hearing aids, some really cool ones actually, and then she buys me 2 shirts, some sunglasses, and a 3-pack of bras - nice. And then came the BEST part of all....the snack court...Oh my GOD, I had no idea this was even possible. We both got dinner and I got dessert....for a grand total of $4.34. It was delicious! I got a huuuuge thing of fro-yo for a dollar thirty-five! And a hot-dog and lemonade for $1.50! I know, everyone else has known about this for YEARS. Yes, I have been living in a cave. But that is a kick-ass, rockin' good deal. Turns out, you don't need a Costco card for the snack bar either. Sweet! One of the nicer Costco locations I have been to but the clientele in the area seems to be completely unaware of what is happening around them. It's the feeling where you are trying to navigate through and obey the "rules of the road" but nobody else seems to care. I think it would be kind of fun to live in Costco for a week. Sleeping in the beds ... Eating their unusually good fast food hot dogs ... and maybe bathing in one of the stain wash demo stations? glad that this Costco is about 5-10 min from my place...but can't stand how the parking lot is set up. Sometimes, I feel like iI'm going through a maze, and the worst part are the people who don't pay attention when they are driving. It's like they try to speed up when a pedestrian is trying to get across or just speed up because they don't have the patience for the car in front of them who is trying to be cautious...going faster doesn't mean you'll find a parking space any quicker. It's always crowded...doesn't matter what time or day I go, I'm always stuck in the crowds. The prices are the same with any other Costco stores. I have a love and hate relationship with Costco. I love that they have everything I need in LARGE quantity so I don't have to make multiple or frequent trips to the store. I hate that they have everything I should not be eating also in LARGE quantity so I keep having trouble with my diet plan. Chips, beacons, candies, etc... Their customer service deserves a 10/10 as well. They take back anything you don't need/want and no question is asked. This review is for the Kirkland Costco optical department. I had an eye exam this morning and arrived on time to have the receptionist tell me and my family that they would "try their best to squeeze me in there." The optometrist I had was named Dana Bauer, who I later learned from the receptionist is the only doctor in the department that double books patients. There was only one exam room being used and this optometrist was seeing two patients simultaneously. Both the doctor and the receptionist made the environment feel very rushed and as though they did not care one way or the other how the examinations went so long as they finished it in a timely manner. The receptionist even took a call AND made a call while giving me one of their final eye tests. They were unprofessional to say the least. If you do make an appointment with them, I highly recommend asking who your optometrist will be and if it is Dr. Bauer, choose a different day to go in or go elsewhere. read more

I do not care that the parking sucks (even though it does). Once inside, I fill up on samples and forget about parking hell. Although... I will never forget the old bat who poached my parking spot after I was waiting in front of it for like 10-minutes. She then proceeded to tell me that she 'was there first'. Yea lady, I will never forget you. May a pallet of kitty litter fall on you on your next visit! Then again, if you have been here hundreds of times like I have...you figure out the best times to go to avoid the minions of hell. Try early mornings, 2:30-4p (when school gets out and the soccer moms have to get their soccer babies) and after dinner (but you miss out on the samples then). For being in Kirkland, you'd think this would be the best Costco ever, right? Well it's not. Tear the thing down and start over. The food court is mysteriously outside. Parking is atrocious. There's no Costco gas. Honestly, I think it's probably the WORST Costco I've ever been to. PROS: It's Costco CONS: Food court outside. You have to park a mile away. Giant warehouse may create anxiety problems for crazy people. read more

Oh boy... Costco is great but the people that shop at this one are out of control. Parking really really really sucks at this location. Good luck finding a spot. Costco crowds are all similar but most of them don't have the fake east side women lurking around every aisle. Props to the staff for being so friendly, they did a great job at check out. read more
