That said, the drying cycle could use some improvement--the blower isn't very strong, so water spots can be an issue. It would also be great if the tire cleaning was more thorough. Was a frequent customer here for a year but few months ago decided to stop coming here altogether. Every time I stop by it's usually young men who don't want to be at work, on their phones, rude and give attitude, or simply no where to be found. I like asking or being asked if I want a free car air freshener and past 4 visits the employees are showing each other their cars and goofing off on their phones in the parking lot, no where to be found, or they avoid eye contact so they don't have to speak to me... always a weird and unpleasant experience. Ruined my car!! I came in for a car wash, paid for the Beary Best... and hoped for the best... but this was the worst car wash experience I ever had... As I pulled up, the young guys kept pointing my tires to guide me in... but after I put my car in neutral (after they told me to) I heard alot of crazy metal noises around my tires and things got crazy... I had to tell the guys to stop the automatic belt and another guy had to tell me to move my tires around? What a mess... never had a horrible experience like this before in 20 years I've been driving cars... With the Rainbow car wash at Coal Creek Parkway/Duvall Ave & Sunset Blvd/900 closed for improvements, I tried the Brown Bear car wash in Factoria. I was a concerned about the recent negative reviews. But it was fine. They were super busy but get the cars through super fast. I think the Rainbow car wash washes a little longer, so I'll probably be back there when they're open again. I recently signed up for the monthly brown bear car wash, I've only been here three times and out of the three times my tires got stuck in the little stoppers and ever since that incident my tire pressure has been low and my tire pressure light keeps coming back on, they were nice enough to explain everything to me and told me that the wash doesn't damage tires.... But I didn't have any issues with my tire or tire pressure until after my car got stuck in the car wash the second time I went through. Then after my third wash which will most likely be my final wash guy had my car inspected and they noticed scratches all over my car which was not there before and tiny cracks on my windshield all over, which were not there before I signed up for this membership. I tried calling customer service nobody picked up on either the monthly membership or the normal brown bear customer service. Nor have I heard back from any of them due to my complaint. Seeing they probably are not gonna do anything about it or fix the damages, based on the reports that I've read on Better Business Bureau. That $50 a month membership just cost me thousands of dollars of damage to my Audi. I'm honestly wondering why people even use this brown bear car wash since it's so busy all the time.... I would never use one of these again based on my personal experience I've had. read more

Brown Bear Factoria is further away from home, but I'd drive here than having inferior car washes in Renton. (Got screwed many times) Fortunately made the right choice. Most of the time I just vacuum internal area of my car , so I don't carry whole amount of quarters and they accept credit card payments which is very rare. Free rags are offered for convenience. But better avoid busy time periods and drive here when no ones on the line. Only thing dissatisfied: The driveway/wash bay is a bit narrow, not compatible for large sized vehicles. read more

The automatic car wash did a great job of cleaning my car. This location has stations you pay at then drive forward to confirm your selection with the greeter. Then you are off! Put your car in neutral and let the car wash pull your car through the sets of scrubbers. There wasn't any line so I was in and out really quick. They also have vacuums so you can clean the inside of the car also. I think they take quarters. read more

When I find myself in the big city and needing a car wash, I intentionally make my way to the Factoria Brown Bear. This location is super convenient, the staff is friendly, and they have a long row of vacuuming stations so I can detail my car after getting it washed. There are always a ton of free towels (and spray) to use so I can get my vehicle shiny and clean, and speaking of vacuums theirs have incredible suction and are only 25-cents per minute ($1 minimum). If you get your car washed frequently, be sure to check in to their unlimited washes program. It's only $20/mo which is a steal if you go more than a few times! read more

This Brown Bear gets extremely busy, it's also tricky to turn in if you're not on the right side of the street since there's those barrier things that block you from coming in on the other side of the street. Granted, it's really organized with very obvious instructions of what way the line is going so it doesn't leak onto Factoria Blvd and block public road. The different tier of washes are $8, $11, and $14, you can also buy a month pass of $20 which will probably motivate you to come often to keep your car clean. There's a vacuum center, but no self serve wash so I only take the car that I don't really care about here, it's so quick and convenient. You don't even need to park your car and run into the gas station to buy a wash, you just drive right up to the machine and select your options, it takes cash or card. If you need help, there's a giant red button to call for help and somebody will come running toward you. When I had my surgery and couldn't reach far, to grab my ticket, I pushed that button and homeboy came here faster than the speed of light. Very friendly people here that are excited for you to get your car wash by a machine. It's also a really fun and cool activity to do with kids while also getting an errand done. He was driving on Factoria Blvd, and apparently, Luna saw the bear statues in front of the car wash and had a complete freak-out, barking very loudly at them, basically right in John's ear. It's a simple location for a weekly or bi monthly wash of the car. In seattle it's a good idea to wash your car regularly as nobody wants to ride in a dirty car. This place has free rags and spray bottles to clean the inside of your car. You have to pay for the vacuums but otherwise it's a great location. For a car wash. As a sidenote don't be that guy that has some weird contraption on the back of his pick up and complains when he screws up the car wash. Take everything out of the back of your truck anyway or wash it by hand. It makes me laugh when I hear the attendants turn away some dude with a pickup load full of stuff who either forgot or didn't realize that the automated brushes will pull that stuff up and out. Do you know where this place would be better is if you got free vacuum with the car wash. read more

I really love this Brown Bear Car Wash out of all those that I tried. They are the friendlies by far, and my car always comes out the cleanest of any other car wash I've tried. I'm kinda anal with my car, so I always tell them "no brushes" and just go straight through. I always request a towel at the end of my journey through the wash so I can wipe down the nooks and crannies, and vacuum out the inside for a $1 if I'm super motivated. Just like most brown bear car washes, fast and efficient. This is one of the longer tunnel washes than some of their other places. Which means it will clean the car better. Only problem is that there could be traffic all around the gas station and on to the road causing even more traffic. It's a small lot size and people that need to fill up, can't even do that. This is the only place I get a car wash from. Someday, I may buy a pass but I have not yet. I drive my car so much that if I go through the wash every time it gets dirty, I would be in there every other day. But, I do like the option that I can buy a pass if I want to. They have plenty of bays for me to hand towel my Escape after I pull it through the wash. There are lots of towels and spray bottle to use even when all the bays are packed. This Brown Bear is the best of any I've ever been to. I've taken my car to several Brown Bear car washes in the area and this one just seems to do a better job. Super efficient, plus free window cleaner and clean towels! Vacuums are $1 in quarters. The only problem is that it's by T-Mobile and Newport High School... Literally thousands of people rely on this car wash. On a sunny day, the line to use the car wash can get so backed up that it backs up Factoria Blvd. Prices are $8 for basic, $11 for the middle, and $14 for the best, tax included. It almost makes the $19.99 monthly pass feel worth it! I believe they take off a couple bucks per wash if you buy 8 gallons of gas or more. For my Chevy Malibu, that's when it gets just below ¼ tank. read more

The service here is the best out of all of the Seattle metro area, with the one located in Inter-Bay/Magnolia being #2. The guys that work here are quick, efficient, hard working, and they always have towels and spray bottles of cleaner/windex available. The staff at this Brown Bear location is over the top friendly, and I'm always satisfied with the job they do cleaning my car. Obviously, the drive-thru car wash does the bulk of the work, but the staff here always greets me with a smile, runs to my car as if it were high priority and they're overall super friendly. As a somewhat new owner of a car, I haven't actually been to other car washes on my own -- but with Brown Bear being as reasonably priced and friendly as they are, not to mention the close proximity to my house, I don't really have a reason to visit other car washes... hooray. read more
