Not a fan of bulk buying. It's just me at home. Everything was super expensive. Produce was ok. I'm a huge produce girl and wasn't impressed with their selection. I spent $60 and it wasn't worth it. I bought a container of cherries for $9 and they are hard and not sweet. I do like all the sample stations throughout store, that was fun. Checking out is no fun, hordes of folks trying to grab a checkout station, and one lady stole my sisters station when she turned around for 1 minute, not cool people. No grocery bags, have to bag yourself with their leftover boxes. Nope not for me. Buying a $60 membership was a waste. I doubt I'll go very often. But! In general, I would give over all Costco 5 stars. I really like the company and most of their stores are great. This one is a bit older and I belive most of my grievances would be resolved if it was bigger. They can't exactly make that change easily. I just hate how crowded it is all the time. It would be nice if they would let executive members in an hour early. I remember them doing that in other states. The specific reason to prompt this review today was an incident while making a return. I was trying to return a hairdryer that I bought but it stopped working. I still had the original packaging. This was my first visit at this Costco location and most of the employees were nice. However, upon self checkout, two employees were having a conversation and one was blocking an open checkout area. She hardly scooted over once she saw me and my boyfriend go up to it, ignored us, and continued her conversation with the other coworker. Nobody bothered to scan my card or say one word to us. I felt like we were interrupting their conversation and taking up their space. I had to move over to allow HER to stay. Today I came to Costco to get a membership so I walked into the exit. Kristy who was checking the people leaving their receipts said dogs are not allowed so I walked back out. About 20ft away I discuss with my friend what we are gonna do, meanwhile for no reason Kristy keeps screaming at us probably about my dog while we are outside, left when she told me to yet uncalled continues to scream. Since I moved to Summerlin it's been a joy coming here. After many years of being Costco customer, today I experienced one of the poorest customer services that made me change my mind coming here at all anymore. That's how bad my experience each time I go to this effin' Costco location. They always have a problem with customers. Seems like they are always having a bad day. Most of their staff are rude. Costco really need to step their game up on getting and putting out QUALITY PRODUCE ! If you walk out of Costco and your bill is a 2 digit number, YOU ARE A GENIUS!!! I have been guilty of walking in to get milk and walked out with a frigging CAR!!! Yes, a car!! Their auto program is one of the best. Costco has deals with car dealerships where you can get your car at Costco price, which is way less than the MSRP and the best part, no haggling at the dealership. Of course everything at Costco is a deal from groceries to furniture, appliances to jewelry. Your membership fees pays for itself and lot more. Their car insurance offered thru Ameriprise is one of the best pricing you will find in the market. The summerlin location gets super busy, parking is always a hassle. Even walking inside the warehouse is like driving thru Los Angeles at peak traffic, bumper to bumper. I am glad they started self check out, or else the check out lines were soooo long. Summerlin Costco always has helpful staff working I've asked for help multiple times and every single time the associate helps! I'm fact they are so helpful they go above and beyond. For exp: today 3/2/22 @4:01pm I was in self check out Emmet help ring up all my items and even checked the computer to search an item for me. They showed no log of getting the item so he checked every Costco to help locate the item. His help didn't stop there he confirmed the time of operation at the Costco that had the item and even insured me that they had plenty in stock. Just moments ago, I drove into parking lot- line snaking into parking lot of people with carts!!!! There wasn't room for two way traffic in the parking lot. I went to return some items. Then saw what was the cause: they are now scanning everyone's membership card at the door- and a huge photo of everyone's face comes up on screen of their devices. (I know they had talked about implementing this). The line continued to increase- of people trying to get in. This process has caused getting into the warehouse just to shop- a total mess. I left. I don't want to stand in line for 20 min to just get in. Many others left as well. Wow Costco. Way to go- you are screwing up your own magic formula. read more

They didn't have my size in something today, so told me to call other Costcos, and see if they had my size. I called Summerlin, unfortunately. The woman who answered the phone was so incredibly rude. She asked me if I wanted her to go and look and I said yes please, if you don't mind. To which she responded well I'm going to have to go and pull out a bunch of things now, with a horrible attitude. They are a Costco. That's the best I can say about the store. Management is weird. Rude. Overly-aggressive. Very unfriendly, cold, and ugly toward customers... and you can see it in the faces of everyone who works there. I can't explain why this is, other than to say I asked a question about where I could find something and nearly had my head taken off in the process: I was polite, didn't interrupt anyone, waited until my presence was acknowledged when I asked my question. I thought management was there for customer service, to help their customers. Left the store without buying anything -- the first time ever in 41 years. We spend an average of $11,000 a year at Costco -- not including buying cars, tires, fuel and automotive services through them. Never coming back here. Ever. On January 13th, I witnessed an employee having to pull about 20 carts with just a rope over his shoulder. I don't understand as much money as Costco makes they can't afford an assisted machine to help move the carts. Costco's carts are bigger than the normal carts you would see at Albertson's or Smith's and they have a machine that assists in moving multiple carts. You can improve caring about quality food, and customer concerns regarding that. After the third time of purchasing Siete Almond flour tortillas to open them and find them moldy I decided to thoroughly inspect them as much as I could through the clear part of the wrapper before I left the store . Two out of three I picked up had mold on the edges. I found one I thought could pass and when I took all of them up to register. I let the cashier know what was going on and that I was going to open the one I thought was good to inspect it before I purchased. The cashier had a hard time getting a manager over there and when someone did come by I did not feel it or I was taken seriously. Upon asking about my problem I was nitpicked about the process. I chose to open the package before I purchased it. Absolutely I'm going to open it because I'm not coming back and I'm not gonna stand in a line to return it when I could simply open it check and move on or give it back if it's moldy. The concern about the quality of their product was nonexistent. The formality of the situation was where the attention went, to my shock. I thought I could also help improve the situation by letting them know that most places that offer this product keep them in a freezer. That tip seem to be irrelevant. I wasn't asking for a refund even though I paid about $40 and tortillas that I've ended up in the trash. My main concern goes out for my own health as well as everybody else who is buying these that me are unaware that probably 90% of them are moldy. Costco executives, please hear my concerns! They are valid and it should not even be a question but I feel I have to come here and make it public for anything to be done or even properly acknowledged. At minimum, this is now here for others to see and use this information as they choose. I have given this place several visits, but just can't. I love my Sam's Club!! This place is so disorganized. Imagine trying to safely cross a busy highway. There is no courtesy shopping in the aisles. People just cut across randomly in different directions. Trying to get to the registers is another hassle. It's all like a labyrinth. I should have taken pictures. Sam's Club is organized and they have it setup to flow like traffic. The registers have scanners in case something is heavy. You can find the registers better. They also have an app so you can skip the lines. read more

Super busy day on Dr. Martin Luther King holiday. In my opinion, purchasing a club membership card alone is worth the gasoline savings at their gas pumps near the store. They offer top tier gasoline and the prices are about 50 cents cheaper per gallon in comparison to other gas stations in the community. I use an app called Gas Buddy and it always displays that Costco gasoline is always the most affordable option, even while traveling out of state. I always dread super crowded stores, but going through the self checkout was quick and painless even with a line. They have several self checkout registers and employees that use a wand to scan your items in your baskets to expedite the process. They also have a pharmacy here with helpful employees. There is a tire center as well, however I have not utilized their services. I do like that they have several motorized shopping carts available, but would highly suggest that Costco reserve several additional handicap spaces. There weren't any. My dad recently had his washer go out on him so he decided to purchase one from Costco... The washer was advertised with free delivery & installation/removal of old washer, which was a good deal with him being 71 and not able to lift anything too heavy. The delivery drivers showed up and within seconds said that they would not install due to "The cold valve being too tight". Well, the valve has no purpose if the water is off to our house anyways... They refused to touch anything on his washer over a valve that is irrelavent. If these guys are hired with the skill and knowledge to install washers then they would have had the knowlegdge to know that they can disconnect a hose with the water being shut off. They mentioned to my dad when they got there that this was their last stop as well, these guys couldn't wait to get out of there to get home and it showed. Not to mention that they came to the job without a leveling tool as well. They also were also supposed to move and take the old washer. Which when my dad talked to costumer service, he was told that they will take the old one. Upon getting off the phone the delivery guys said they were leaving and that they were not told to take the washers. My dad ended up calling customer service again and they granted him a $25 credit... 25 dollars? No, we NEED THE JOB DONE. Unacceptable customer service! read more

While the parking lot may be a bit challenging, patience is a virtue that rewards you in this scenario. My fondest memories when I was a child was grocery shopping with my parents. I think that maybe be one of the places my love for food stems from. When you first walk in to your left you are witness to a bevy of electronics, from big screen tvs to Ring security alarm systems, etc. then you go to the center aisle to my favorite section, the snacks. I'm personally a fan of the flavored popcorns and jerkys as their varieties are seemingly limitless. Then keep goin up the middle you have a variety of quality clothing, and sets of clothes for the children. Their pre-made meals are fantastic from their chicken enchiladas to the tortilla chicken rolls they're all can't miss. The frozen food section also has great value and quality items. In my opinion Costco costs a bit more than other competitors but they have more quality products. Their meats are always stocked and high quality as well. Fresh produce and dairy round out a glorious shopping experience. And don't forget to get your hot dog and soda combo on the way out! Still only $1.50! read more

I'd normally not consider reviewing a Costco but I feel I need to say something about my experience today. I asked one of the butchers stocking meats if they had any wagyu since I had bought some before. It was an Asian guy named Danny I was speaking to. He said something I didn't hear so I asked again. It was at this point where he started giving me attitude and answered in an impatient tone, "Like I said, whatever I have is one this aisle." I then asked him If he knew what stocks they had and again, I got the same answer in an even more impatient tone, "Like I said, whatever I have is down this aisle." He could've either 1) shown me what they had 2) said what they had of what they didn't 3) said I don't really know but let me check The guy might have been having a bad day, or it may not have been his job to face customers but there are always better ways to say no than be rude. I drove there to pick up some stuff after a long day and I was told I can't shop there with my brother's card, that's fine. Let me start off by saying most employees are nice and sweet! But I've had a bad experience at this location with employees being extremely rude. I was helping my dad (he's handicap) do his two orders separate one with cash and one a card. I grabbed the cash from him after the lady rang everything up. I went to hand it to her and she THROWS her hands up and starts yelling at him and said she's not dealing with this and called someone else over. Tire Center was very fast with their Tire rotation service for my Tesla. I dropped off my car thinking it would take 1-2 hours and went inside costco to kill time and walk around and shop until my car is ready, turns out it was ready in less than an hour and this was also during the weekend. Addressing the issues, everybody is herded in here like cattle from the second you're about 100 ft from the parking lot. You don't have time to look at the variety of items because you have 5-8 oversized shopping carts coming towards you from multiple directions. There isn't enough room in these stores for this many people to shop at the same time. After you stand in the unorganized cluster of carts to check out, if you want to try any of costco's food on the way out. That is an entirely different hill that you must climb. I want to try it for the prices obviously, but refuse to deal with the mess that they force onto you in these stores. I bought the $120 membership at Costco blindly when I moved to Las Vegas 4 months ago. I have yet to have a good shopping experience in Las Vegas Costco's. I use my moms card occasionally for her because going to this location particularly is super stressful for her. I never have issues when I'm at self check out. Today we went to shop at Costco in Summerlin Nevada. Upon entry the card checkers informed us that our 4lb registered SERVICE dog enclosed in an approved carrier told us we could not enter with us. We've been Costco members for over a decade in three different states and have never denied entry into any Costco at any time. This dog goes everywhere with us. This dog is a direct support for my military related PTSD. This dogs presence allows me to go into crowded stores and to be around a large number of people. We requested to speak with the manager and she also told us the dog was not allowed. The importance this animal holds as both a registered SERVICE dog and also as a registered emotional support animal and as a member of our family to us is the equivalent of telling a parent that their child in a stroller is not allowed into their store. We made a decision on the spot that we will no longer provide our money to a company that hates animals and doesn't support military veterans that we eagerly handed our membership cards over to Julie, the manager.
