Ok so maybe I don't need the giant box of condums they sell here or the god knows how big it is jug of lube. That stuff aside though Costco is great for parties and those essential items that don't go bad. If you have a large family the large quantities aren't so bad either. Overall the items sold at Costco are of high quality and a good value. Weather it is the ground beef, Starbucks coffee or giant bottle of Laundry detergent costco has you covered and at a much better value then there competitors. The concession stand here is also great and a common lunch spot while at work. Were else can you go and get 2 giant slices of pizza and a pop for under $5. All and all a great value. read more

had to stop by here to get some supplies for a big brother/big sister event. needed to get 50 plastic spoons, but had no choice and had to get 500 for almost 9 bucks... they did have a 200 napkin option though... also grabbed some kirkland earth-friendly laundry detergent on the way to the cashier... large costco, yet quick checkout despite the fact that they seem to have less cashier stands than the average costco i'm used to in california... still smooth and efficient. read more

Nothing special about this place and that includes the employees that seem just a tad more happy then those at Sam's. I do like the kirkland's brand of detergents and the like. Lots more health suppelments and foods than Sam's... One thing I didn't like is when me and the roomate go to Sam's we both can use my card, but at Costco the checker told her that next time she had to use her own card. read more

Good Costco overall. It is a little darker than some other Costco's I've been to and the layout is a tiny bit different, but prices are the same. Every employee I've dealt with has been friendly. This Costco branch went above and beyond! We purchased a rice cooker there in June 2016. 3 months later it was recalled. We followed the manufacturer's instructions to cut off the cord, mail it in with the form, and dispose of the rice cooker. We were supposed to receive a new rice cooker within 6 months. That never happened! 2.5 years later I've occasionally emailed the company about the replacement but a few months ago they ceased responding and the company went officially out of business. I'd meant to ask at Costco multiple times but quickly forgot. Today I remembered. It has been 2.5 years, I got married, got a new Costco account (no longer mooching off my parents'), and moved to a new state. Today Costco refunded our money after a rather fun jaunt through memory lane and email history. Thanks Costco for a very satisfying customer service experience. I just wanted to share my experience at the Naperville Costco. I had stopped by this Costco with my son and while entering Costco the lady at the front checking membership allowed three separate white parties to enter without asking them for their membership but when me and my son approached we were singled out without hesitation and asked to see our membership card. I asked the lady why she singled out me and my son and why she did not ask the several white people in front of us and she immediately became defensive and said yes she did when clearly me, my son and other people saw that she did not ask the other three white people in front of us for their membership. I'm Filipino and have been shopping here for many years and this is the first time to encounter such a racist individual hired on by Costco. I spoke to the manager and explained the situation and all he did was nod is head and did absolutely nothing. read more

I have been a memeber since they opened and the employees have always been helpful and nice. Other stores could learn from them. Prices are somtimes good and sometimes not - you need to watch for the Costo Coupons as they don't take manufactor coupons and shop the sales. The meat section is great and you can never go wrong with their roasted chicken. Now that the Bolingbrook store has opened the traffice is not as crazy except for weekends. I like to go on a weekday when they open as it is usually wide open. read more

Love shopping there, they always have a good selection and the staff is very courteous and helpful. Their automotive services are also pretty good, the staff is very professional although tire selection is a bit limited. What's not to love about Costco? I avoid this place on the weekends because it's a zoo. Their meat is good and cost a lot less than the grocery stores in the area. When I do buy in bulk here, I normally split the meat for 2 or 3 meals. Every month they release coupons, so sometimes you save even more! Be prepared to spend at least $100, if not more. I normally go in there for a couple things and end up buying more. I need more self discipline here. :) And what's not to love about their $1.50 hotdog and drink? and their soft serve too. :) Which reminds me, I need to make a Costco run this week. Oy! read more

Tire Center sucks! Buy your tires somewhere else. The give you the run-around when you want to get your tires rotated or balanced (which is free when you buy tires at Costco). I'm guessing Costco doesn't pay the tire changers commission when they do maintenance work, so they act like they're too busy and hope you just go away. read more

I hate this place because I can't get out of here without spending less than a few benjis every time we go. Seriously who needs $80 worth of coffee than apparently my family (which includes two adults and 2 small dogs). We've been asked a number of times why a couple needs membership to a wholesale warehouse store, but I can't picture our lives without Costco now. I personally like the Naperville Costco because taxes are better (and when you are spending hundreds each visit, it adds up) and the staff is friendlier and more helpful than other locations. We always get lots of free samples, and leave with a frozen yogurt. We have upgraded our membership to executive and took out the Amex card just because we were missing out on racking up the points for spending an ungodly amount of money at one place. My husband likes clothes shopping at the Naperville Costco because the always have slim fit CK button downs and he doesn't have to try it on. Just find your size on one of the pallet tables and move on to the bulk liquor section. My beef with this Costco is you have to park in the back forty and the mass amounts of fellow Costco worshipers who make their weekly wholesale Mecca the same time that I do. Nobody cares if you have to get by them to get to the veggie chips, they will shove their XXXXL cart in front of you to get that last egg roll sample. The children that come here must think it is a form of punishment to accompany mom on a Costco trip since they are all screaming. Overall, I can't live without the deals at Costco. We love it and will deal with the crowds to keep getting bulk quality goods at discount prices. read more

I don't do any shopping her because this place is always PACKED with people. The parking lot is an absolute nightmare, but in my experience all Costco parking lots are unfortunately. Aside from that I have come here many many many times for the pizza in the cafe and am always pleased! You can't do better than 10 bucks for a giant delicious pizza!! read more

This particular Costco I've been going to since it opened and for sure, this place is a ZOO on Saturdays and Sundays and especially holidays. Even during the week, this place is packed but if you're not a fan of fighting to get through people, this isn't a weekend stop for you. But they always have incredibly fresh produce and meats, their samples are superb, the checkout staff is always friendly and accomodating, and we've even had talks with the butchers in back who will recommend different types of meats if you can get a hold of them. Their pre-made food is always delicious and their staff is golden for how overworked they must be. I'm impressed how clean the whole place is, even after a tornado of customers have come through. And if you're ever missing a product, simply ask one of the customer service staff and they can figure out what happened to it. Sometimes they move products in and out like lightning so one week they will have tubs of cream cheese, the next is bars; one week the butter will be in the front cooler and sometimes in a side cooler. Costco is one of those companies where it's not cheap to shop there, but you're getting good deals on bulk items and quality food. It's a bit like the Whole Foods of bulk stores. Personally I love it and I'll shop here forever. read more

I have been a member for many years now! I have spent thousands of dollars throughout the years. I am extremely disappointed on how I was treated at COSTCO today! To be honest I am still in disbelief! At check out an item rang up more than expected! I asked to speak to the manager since I believed that there was a lot of confusion on where the price sign is located, ROBERT the "manager" met me where the item was! As I walked closer, I could see he was already frustrated and not ready to do his job, which is to help me, the customer! As I try to politely explain to him my confusion with the sign, (there where two signs for two different items, they were almost identical, it was hard to tell which one was which) he wanted to dismiss me as soon as possible, but I still wanted to know the difference between both items since I was still interested in making the purchase, I asked him if he could explain to me the difference between both items, he without any knowledge of either items blurred out, well obviously this one is better, I explained to him that it was not obvious to me and that's why I was asking! Since I was feeling very disrespected by Robert the "manager" I just said thank you and proceeded to customer service, where maybe someone would be willing to help me. There I asked to speak to the store Manager, the same "manager" comes back, by this time he is furious (everyone can see it) and he begins to ask what the problem is! I again ask to speak to the store manager (3 times). Finally the store manager comes and we walk to the back where the items are located, I explained to him what the confusion was, he also tries to explain to me how they set up their items, by this time I could care less about the lights and I just wanted to let the store manager how disrespected I felt by Robert, the other "manager." He decide to give me a gift card (for customer satisfaction he called it) he told Robert the other manager to hand it to me, the other "manager" refused to hand me the card and even to apologize for his behavior towards me! I pointed out his behavior to the store manager, he clearly saw how the "manager" was treating me (extremely rude)! The store manager told me he was going to have a talk with him, but just incase he didn't, I wanted my experience to be known! My membership expires soon, I'm debating if I should renew or not! I'd rather do my shopping where customers are valued and are not disrespected or belittled! Hopefully if Robert is reading this he can think twice on how he treats customers next time! Hopefully this can remind Robert of rule number one in customer service, which is that the CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT! read more

Groceries, prescriptions, clothes and now glasses are all the things we shop for at Costco! We just went for our optical exams and bought glasses. Dr. Tomich was very nice, quick and knowledgeable. She knew about other optical places and what they offer also. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of service we received from the women at the Costco Optical desk. When we chose frames, they helped us choose lenses and gave very good advice about what would work for us individually. I was skeptical at first, thinking they were just trying to upsell, but they weren't. The young lady helping me had me choose different frames because of the thickness of my new lenses. Apparently with the bigger frame, the sides of the lenses would be thicker and thus distort my peripheral vision. She helped me choose a smaller frame, closer to my old frames that would not cause any distortion. And they were $10 cheaper than the original frames chosen. Wow! I am very happy that we decided to switch over to Costco from America's Best. The people at AB always made me feel awkward. Costco staff are so much nicer and professional! Since we buy so much using our Costco credit card, why not optical too? It's just more you get back at the end of the year. read more

I'm usually not one to write reviews but I feel like this store is heading in a bad direction and I really hope they take the time to look at these reviews. First thing that upset me was the fact they they filled up the vestibule with plants instead of carts. Seriously? All the other shoppers that I was around were all confused as to where we get our cart as there were no signs saying where and no one was directing us. Fast forward a couple weeks and I head back into do some shopping since it was a rainy day and they still had all the carts sitting outside!! Seriously?? I had to go my entire shopping trip with a soaking wet cart because someone cant get their stuff together and realize having those plants there is a terrible idea. Now on to my latest trip, I was very happy to see the carts were back in the vestibule, but during my entire shopping trip I had to listen to the annoying cashiers ringing cow bells and yelling out donations that people were making for their hospital fundraiser. Now comes my turn to pay and one of their supervisors by the name of Nisa was walking one of the former patients of the hospital from register to register having this kid show every customer his baby picture in an attempt to guilt shoppers into donating! I'm all about supporting a good cause, but come on, let's have some class Costco. The fact she was doing this made me upset so I chose not to donate and when I said "no thank you" the supervisor Nisa started to pressure me to donate! She just couldn't respect my opinion and kept trying to push me. How unprofessional. I'm seriously considering canceling my membership because of the direction this store is turning. *BEWARE TIRE SERVICES*Drove to this Costco the other day (it's about 20 minutes from my house). I needed to have my tires rotated...which they do for free because I bought the tires there. Little did I know that they decided that they are only doing tire work on an appointment only basis now...so needless to say, I did NOT have an appointment and was turned away! I had to drive another 45 minutes to the next Costco (Bloomingdale) where they don't do appointments and got the work done. It ended up taking me 3 hours just to get tires rotated! So, if you are considering buying tires at Costco, I would say it's not worth it...too much of a hassle to get your car back in and most Costcos are not convienent to anything else if you have time to kill. (Sorry I cannot shop in a Costco for 2 hours)! Unless you happen to live 5 minutes away from a Costco, don't bother with the Tire center! read more

Costco photo shop is horrible especially for making photo books online. The site crashed every 1-2 minutes and had to reload, without saving what was last done. Also, the website says you have the option for overnight or 2 day deliver which is a complete scam and falsely advertised. Somewhere hidden on the website is that it can take a total of 5-7 business days for the book to arrive. Why would you pay extra for that, when you can pick up at the warehouse for free in a similar time frame?? When I called customer service, they did not help at all. I was promised a phone call from the supervisor by two different agents which never happened. For such a big company to do nothing for customer satisfaction is not acceptable. The customer service was awful and they put me on hold for about 25 minutes each time for me to speak to the supervisor and then said that they would take my number and call back...which like I said never happened. I wasted so much time on the phone for absolute nothing. I will never recommend the photo center to anyone and know that there are much better companies that can make really nice photo books with much faster delivery and pick up. It would have been nice if they even were willing to refund me the $10 delivery charge. I just can't believe how they did nothing to remedy the situation after 2 lengthy phone calls that ruined my Friday night. It was a book for my Mom's 60th birthday that took me days to make and definitely won't make it in time for her birthday party. I will never use Costco again. Just to reemphasize, the website is horrible and please don't waste your time because it is not a deal and you will be sorry. read more

LOVE this store! This is a bulk product store that requires an annual membership, but is worth it IMO. Not everything is in bulk, but most. They also gave items such as patio sets, clothes, toys, liquor, etc. They carry the best meat and produce and baby items such as diapers and formula. Costco is not the best choice for purchasing Electronics. If you have a problem with your electronic you have to work directly with the manufacturer, which requires you to send/ship your item to the manufacturer (which is time consuming), and you're informed by the manufacturer if it's a computer that your data will probably be lost, so you will need to purchase a data/hard drive (about $100 or more) to store your data before sending it to them. Then the process goes on and on and on! Electronics should be purchased from an electronic store, where you can get assistance/support from the store directly if you encounter a problem. Costco boasts about their return policy being so liberal, but it's for merchandise that doesn't really matter like small household items, and food. When don't support/back-up your return on your most expensive and necessary purchases, if there is a problem after 3 months or on the 91st day. read more

I love costco as a whole. Its a great place to get all the household things i use, at a great price. Recently tho, I had an experience at the printer ink refill counter. I brought all my cartridges in to get refilled. The girl (behind the counter, named Paris) took my cartridges, said it would take an hour, took my cell # and said she would call when done. I shopped while they were getting done waiting for the call which never came. Picked up my ink, mentioned i never got a call, got some major attitude about how busy she was, and left. When i got home, put the cartridges in the printer, and 3 are blinking no ink! I called costco, got the ink counter, and a gentleman told me that the girl (Paris), probably forgot to reset the cartridges so the printer registered them as full. I would have to bring them back. At that point, i could not just run back to costco as its not just around the block. I needed my printer to print right then, so i had to run to the nearest grocery to buy new ones! So much for the convenience of getting them filled at costco. It ended up costing me more than twice as much! Think i will shop Bolingbrook from now on. Awful experience! read more

This costco center have different customer service standards for minorities. You can clearly notice this at checkout and returns. The people customer service people are horrible at service. They give you hard time with returns. Tire center is really bad. They always give you huge wait times for tire rotation. I have had better customer service experience at walmart. Recently I bought an iPhone X from Costco cellular Kiosk. Its face ID worked one time and stopped. Next day we went to Costco and talked to Malcolm a sales rep at the cellular kiosk. After listening he strongly suggested not to returned the phone and wait for new software update. He said "you have 90 days return policy on cellular phones" and can return anytime. He even showed us 90 days rule on our receipt. I waited for a month and still there was no sign of working phone. So I decided to return the phone. We met the same Malcolm guy and now we saw totally new side of his. He totally refused to accept what he said month before. He clearly denied and said return policy was 14 days and we can't do anything. He just disappeared soon and the other girl rep was there hiding other side. They were both so rude and not ready to listen or talk. There was no other responsible person to solve our problem. I spent $900 and felt totally cheated with this product and worst service you can ever imagine. I will never buy phone again at Costco and strongly recommend to all my friends to think twice before you go to cellular phone kiosk at Costco. It's not worth it. read more
