Saw a person just out of ophthalmology school. He noticed the beginning of a cataract that I know…read moreabout and immediately suggested surgery. No! I can see fine; I just needed an updated prescription. Clearly he was looking to make money and not recommend the best thing for me - his patient. We Went through all of the steps and the prescription he gave me isn't correct. I don't know if he wrote it down wrong or what but the script is wrong. I have been to this practice for several years and all of the providers I saw previously were outstanding. I think it says a lot about the practice that all of those other ophthalmologists have left and only newly graduated, inexperienced ones are there now. I am not going back.

We've worked with both Dr. William and Dr. Elizabeth Atkinson and they are both patient and through with everyone in our family. They have an online portal that keeps all our info, prescriptions, and bills in one location. They also use external sources to make it easy to automate your contact lens purchasing. We will continue to stay loyal and hope that COVID doesn't impact future visits.

Approximately seven months ago, I went in for an eye exam and purchased a pair of glasses,…read moreincluding frames, lenses, and a protection plan, totaling around $700. Within two weeks of receiving them, I returned because my vision was not clear the lenses were blurry and uncomfortable. At that time, I was told the glasses only needed adjustment and to give it some time. Over the following months, I returned multiple times with the same concern, explaining that my vision was still not correct. Each time, I was told to "get used to" the progressive lenses, or that changes in vision with age might be the cause. Despite my repeated visits and concerns, the issue was never properly resolved. Recently, I sought a second opinion from my previous eye doctor, who confirmed that the prescription in the glasses I purchased from there is incorrect. Since returning to my old glasses, my symptoms dizziness, headaches, and nausea have completely resolved. Additionally, the lenses I purchased are now scratched, and despite having a protection plan, I have been told that this will not be honored. I find this unacceptable. When I recently spoke with management, I was told that too much time had passed for any resolution, despite the fact that I had been consistently returning to the office over several months attempting to correct the issue. I was offered the option to pay for another exam and receive only a 50% discount on new lenses. I do not feel this is fair, as the original issue stems from an incorrect prescription that was never properly addressed. Furthermore, I was disappointed by the tone and manner in which I was treated during this conversation. I felt dismissed and disrespected. I was also informed that my past records, including a prescription from 2018, were accessed without my knowledge or consent, which raises additional concerns for me. To be clear, I did not requesting a refund. I simply asking that the lenses be remade correctly and that the protection plan I purchased be honored. I also requested the contact information for a district manager or someone above the current manager. I was told there is no one I can contact directly, and that if I submit a customer care ticket online, it would simply be routed back to him and result in the same response. I do not understand how that is possible.

I purchased my glasses in December, and within 30 days I had to bring them back due to a crack in…read moreone of the lenses. After the lenses were replaced, another crack appeared in the exact same spot. When I returned to the store and expressed my frustration, the manager said he would replace the lenses free of charge, but he acted as though he was doing me a favor. The repeated inconvenience of having to come back multiple times for the same issue has been significant, yet the manager showed little concern. He told me he "can't help with my life problems," as if the inconvenience were my fault rather than the result of faulty lenses. He also mentioned that this issue only happens to about 1% of the thousands of glasses sold, implying that the problem was mine--not LensCrafters'. At no point was there an attempt to offer a partial refund, acknowledge the hassle this has caused, or take responsibility for the repeated manufacturing issue. Considering the circumstances, I expected better customer service and a genuine effort to make the situation right. My wife and kids will not become customers nor will I ever buy another pair from them again. Too many competitors that will welcome our business.

I usually don't like to leave bad reviews but I don't want other people to fall on the same trap…read more In November at the front desk person recomandation I purchased for my daughter 6 boxes contact lenses from them which were supposed to last for a year, but unfortunately, she started experiencing issues with them after just three months. She began to have headaches and sometimes even blurry vision, especially when there were bright lights around. We approached Julie, the store manager, for assistance, but she was very rude and dismissive towards us. Instead of greeting us, she demanded to know what we needed. Target Optic redid another eye exam and claimed that the lenses were correct, but they did not address the issue of blurry vision when there were bright lights around. We chose Target Optic based on good reviews, but our experience was a great disappointment. It is unacceptable that my daughter is facing issues with the contact lenses and the store manager was so dismissive towards our concerns. I hope that Target Optic will take our feedback seriously and work towards improving their customer service and quality of products. They know a kid vision may change during a year so I don't understand why they pushed so hard to sell 6 boxes of contact lenses. Overall, I would not recommend Target Optic in Algonquin based on our experience.
