This review is about the play area only…read more I'd heard that Living Spaces had a fabulous play area so I took my 3 year old over to check it out. Because I'd also heard that they get quite busy and that there can be a long wait to play, so we went over at 10 am (when they open) on a Tuesday. It paid off as we were the only ones there for about 10 minutes. So, the play area is pretty great- my son played independently for about an hour. Things to know: You have to fill out a waiver for each kid each time before they can play. Online forms are coming at some point. Word on the street is that weekends are so busy and crazy that they should be avoided. Parents are required to stay in the play area with kids 3 and under but are required to leave kids 4 and over with the attendants. They have an interesting looking cafe right outside the play area but it wasn't open while we were there.

I took a screen shot of the second one as proof, because it wasn't clear they were actually checking the product while I was chatting with them. Sure enough, the recliner gets here, and doesn't have the very capabilities they said it had. I contacted customer service and they said that I would have to pay the restocking fee (plus the pick up fee) even though I have PROOF that their sales people flat out lied to me. I made another appointment for a different optometrist last week was cancelled due to the blizzard. I had to have two appointments. One on Wednesday for the exam then return on Thursday for the contact lenses. I was able to do it all during one visit at Dr Gunderson's office. The office is a bit small but Costco isn't going to give up any more precious floor space than they have to. I thought it was weird to make an eye doctor appointment at a Costco but it turned out to be one of the best appointments I've had at an optometrist. Doesn't seem like they are able to bill a lot of insurance plans. My insurance approved them but they can't bill my insurance. No real big deal as the whole appointment for contact lenses including the retinal photo was only $149. I'll submit for reimbursement. Although it was a very quick appointment, I did not feel rushed. Everything was explained to me and was thoroughly impressed. Anyone who has a hesitation, like I did, about not going to a "real doctor office", should feel at ease.

I had my annual…read morecheck done here and due to their low selection of frames, I had to purchase from Eyeconic, VSPs recommended supplier. When returning to get my frames adjusted, they refused saying they don't follow VSPs policies. I was, in fact, invited to take my business elsewhere. Since I made the mistake of also getting my 6-year-old daughter's eyes examined, and they would be her doctor, she is left without an eye doctor. Shameful. These are supposed to be medical professionals. If you value you and your family's vision, run from Best Eyecare Associates. They don't care and will leave you high and dry.

The staff are always super nice and they've gone above and beyond to help me find the perfect lenses for my sensitive eyes. One thing to note: you will have to pay for a retinal screening out of pocket with the specialized machine. It's not optional and it's not covered by insurance. This charge was $49. I don't love that this not covered, but I pay it because it's an early diagnostic tool that catches issues which lead to vision loss if missed. Well worth it! They have a lot of good frames there for a smaller shop, and the Target brand lenses are a top brand under their label to help save customers money. Overall, it's a great place and setup to get your glasses and contacts with, or without insurance. If budget is a concern, which for most of us it is, be honest and ask them to guide to you to the most affordable frames or contacts for your needs. They are happy to help!

This is my second year at Target optical. I normally go to the one on 120th. I called and made an…read moreappointment and was not informed of any construction occurring at the 120th location. I showed up for my appointment at that location a few minutes early only to find it completely closed down. When I asked a Target employee where I was supposed to go for my 2pm appointment, she said "I have no idea." I called the same number, explained the situation, and they said, "oh right. We are on 144th. We are taking all of the 120th location's patients currently. We usually try and tell people about the construction but sometimes that info is not relayed." (Clearly) They told me if I could make it to the 144th location within 10 minutes that they would try to get me in still. I raced up there and the doctor got me back for my exam. It lasted all of maybe 7 minutes before she booted me out. She had minimal "bedside manner" and when I asked about my new prescription and how much it changed from last time she just handed me a paper that I guess had my new prescription on it? I ordered glasses and sunglasses with my new prescription and even after my insurance being applied, was charged over $375. They told me it would take 3-4 weeks for them to arrive which seemed like an absurd amount of time. Luckily I did not have to wait that long and received a text yesterday telling me my glasses were ready and to come get them. Today I showed up and only my regular glasses were ready, not my sunglasses to which they replied, "oh shoot. Yeah we usually try and make sure they're both in before texting you to come grab them. The sunglasses should be in sometime later today or tomorrow so I would come back then for the sunglasses." Thanks for wasting my time and making me take 2 trips unnecessarily to your location. I am super disappointed at the horrible communication, horrible prices, and even worse customer service by the entire staff. I will be switching to a different optical place for my exam and lenses needs.
