While this Costco may tack on a ghastly 3% tax on foodstuffs (... gag), its Optical department rocks. My family always gets their glasses done here. If they don't have the frames they're looking for, they'll at least get them adjusted here because they swear up and down that the service here in unparalleled. After seeing them work on my mother's Ferragamos, I can't help but agree. Christine helped fix my mom's glasses with the utmost patience and care. Two thumbs way, way up for that! If you are thinking about seeing the optometrist at Costco please read this. Five stars for Costco, 0 stars for the optometrist at Costco. I went to get contacts and though the optometrist was ok, not over friendly, not overly rude, he did seem to rush me out of there. He not only gave me an incorrect prescription, he also sized my eyes wrong. I spent about 2 weeks with contacts that were driving my eyes crazy and I finally went to a Lens Crafters in Southlands (great btw) and the optometrist there told me that it was good I came in because the contacts I was wearing could have seriously damaged my eyes. Because they weren't the proper size, bacteria and microbes etc could get under my contacts while I was wearing them. Also, they were keeping my eyes from producing tears and that caused my eyes to become extremely dry when wearing them. Go to Costco for your food/tvs/clothes etc, but stay away from the eye doctor there!!!!! read more

I had a great experience here with a purchase about two weeks ago. I had been in search of a tool box for over two weeks. They kept selling out at my local Costco. I called Jamie, the manager, and she went above and beyond what was needed to help me out. I drove up from Colorado Springs to get it, and she even had it next to a register up front to make it easier for me. She also spent about 15 minutes finding the keys for me since it was a floor model that she sold me. It was awesome when they built this Costco in Parker. It's so much closer to my house and 10 times less busy than the one by Park Meadows, which isn't saying much. They're still busy. There's the usual Costco selection here: industrial size toilet paper, pop, etc. We come here once a month, buy 5 different types of items and leave $200 lighter. But you do get good prices... assuming you have a place to store it all. read more

I went to Costco and got a refund for my membership. They were very willing to do it and even gave me the entire cost of my membership back, so they've redeemed themselves somewhat in my book. I'm still very annoyed that only my bank's debit AND credit cards aren't accepted, but at least Costco allowed me to get my membership refunded. read more

Normally I LOVE Costco... today as I arrive in the checkout area I was two people back and they approached me to see my membership card. Then when I got to the register they asked for it again (normal) when I finished checking out they started to explain their credit card and whatnot to me. I politely said no and they just got pushier from there. I had the woman blocking my cart so I couldn't leave. I said no no I'm good no thank you and they continued to push me. When someone says no to something leave it at that. Costco you have lost my business for a while. This Costco is so convenient to get in and around. So many of the other stores are impossible to even get in and get parked. Here you can get in and get right to shopping. If you are hungry, you can get a hot dog and a soda for $1.50! Then you can shop for anything and everything else. If you are having a BBQ then this place will save you big bucks. Costco has a wonderful international selection of cheeses at very affordable prices. Another good buy are their flowers. They are very high quality and the roses last at least a week unlike roses from the grocery store. If you need a quick dinner grab one of their ready made pizzas for a great price. I have had nothing but great experiences at this local Costco. Since I had my wife's car, I went across the parking lot to use the Costco gas station. I pulled around the pump where I could access the fuel fill. I was on the phone with one of my business associates. As I was filling up, someone yelled at me "Sir, you will need to move your car". I didn't hear him immediately until he said "Sir, please put down the phone, I told you you will have to move the your car now". I told my associate that something was wrong and I will need to call him back. Really, there was not a better way to handle this? Okay, if I was paying attention, I would have seen the arrows pointing in one direction. The Costco gas attendant could have handled the issue more tactfully and with less embarrassment to me. Perhaps a career in law enforcement is on his horizon. I'll continue to shop at this location. Buying my gas - I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Costco is great! I have had a membership with them for about 15 years. We have a large family, and costco has everything we need! Great for party food! Very high quality! The photo center is also amazing! Great quality and fast service. You can order pictures online and pick them up at the store for free. Their return policy is also great. I had a food processor for about 4 years when the button broke, I got it replaced for free. In addition, we own two small businesses and this place is the best for office supplies. read more

Excellent selection of food. My family and I purchase most of our business and household good through Costco. The other day my children asked for a smiley face to be drawn on the back of our receipt. A trivial event which both of my children fight over each time. The associate told me that the act of drawing a smiley face on the back of a receipt was no longer allowed. I spoke with Rita, a manager, and she had no explanation for the event except a member must have complained. I would highly suggest Costco to rethink their policy. It;s Costco. I think they are pretty much the same everywhere. Our household is tiny so our membership is mostly to stock up on things you will buy once in bulk and then perhaps never again ( I am looking at you 20lbs of restaurant quality aluminium foil). Or at least once a year (here's to toilet paper and paper towels). I actually for the most part found that most of their other food items are not all that much cheaper then if you shop the sales at king soopers or other grocery stores. For things you will buy in bulk ( flour, rice, sugar ect) and that last forever it really can't be beat. Also great for entertaining or party planning. I also love their brats in the ready to eat section and their pizza is a great deal!. This location is clean, the lay out is straightforward but I do wish there were signs telling you (even vaguely) where things were located as you can waste a lot of time trying to find say 15lbs of butter. You can snack your way through the store which is always a plus. I have never been to another bulk warehouse store so i cannot compare or contrast but maybe next year we will give Sam's club a try, which is less convient of a location but considering we go to Costco only a few times a year that is a moot point for me. read more

Well I hate to be the dissenter but...have been a Costco member for many years in multiple states. Recently moved here (2 weeks) and have been to this store 5 times, spent about $2k and the best service I had was indifferent. The optical department won't even look up and acknowledge your presence, the service desk never has enough staff and so doesn't even bother to be friendly, the snack bar wouldn't split my sundae between 2 cups for my grandkids tho they would give me cup to do it myself (a messy job) tho every other store I've been to cheerfully split it up (said it wasn't their "protocol"), the phone department that needed to transfer my data to new phone "forgot to check progress" so it took another 45 minutes and the cashiers were busy talking to co-workers. Checkout lines were long with only a few open and only one person on the door. Watched a guy in the next line get his box of chocolates smashed into a box and ruined. He wasn't happy. No hustle anywhere. What's wrong with this store? read more

I cannot say enough good about Costco. I do not like to shop but love going into Costco - any of them in the Denver area but the Parker store is closest. I buy clothes, meat, car batteries, patio furniture, TV's, and lot of other misc items - but mostly food. I love their customer service, their parking, the handiness of an independent liquor store adjoining Costco. I recently bought a car battery there and the service person in automotive was happy, smiling, and helpful. Thank you Costco - you are far and away my favorite retail store. read more

Who doesn't love Costco? This location has a place to fill up your car with fuel AND it has a liquor store attached that has really great pricing. I called the store and had them hold another jacket for me, and called back through out the day to see if anyone had turned it in. Customer Service was very helpful, friendly and polite. I wish I could give this location more, I should, in reality I should give them one star for cashier service I have received the last three times, I've checked out. The first complaint is they are always unfriendly, always. The second complaint is the cashiers give me a hard time bc my Costco card had my pic but hubby's name. I just figured thats how they were, I mean Costco gave it it to me that way. I WAS PAYING CASH. The next time I came in, I hadn't changed my costco card and used my check book, they gave me the hardest time. Then the last time I went in, I had my Costco card and his just in case but, I wanted to use his debit card. My husband pays for food, why on earth would you give his wife a hard time about buying bread, eggs,coffee and salad?????. They act like I'm a criminal buying groceries, I mean come on. It's just ridiculous. If you are married and have a valid costco account together, you should be able to use either card and not be given a hard time ( threatening to put back food, suspicious looks, manager calls). Costco is starting to get really expensive. Have started shopping at King Soopers and Sams more and more. It's not bad enough that the cattle pushing carts in the store can't single file to save their lives, Costco has decided that they need to put a sample cart on the end of every aisle to feed the oompah-loompahs and their fat little kids. There are only a couple things that I buy anymore at Costco. Have started to do Sams also because a)they carry brands I actually buy(no weird organic, earth muffin crap-try buying Stove Top stuffing at Costco around Thanksgiving!) without discontinuing them every season and 2) I can get in an hour early to avoid the slow pokes. And no, Sams doesn't feel like they have to put a road block every 10 feet in the form of a food cart. They don't put much info on the computer cards/ads so you can't compare processors. If you find a product you like that they've branded(frozen waffles, etc.) they're gone in 3 months. I don't get it. I know they think they rule the big box realm but I really don't get it. read more
