I had an unfortunate flat at work after it looks like I ran over a razor blade. Since I purchased the tired at Costco they look to see if they can repair it. After calling around to a few tire centers for an estimated time frame some had a 7 hour wait. While others had no appointments until the following day. 4.5/5 Service Upon arriving they informed me it would be a 2-3 hour wait, better than 7 at other locations. They didn't answer the phone but this location was closer to home. They assessed the tire and unfortunately it was not repairable. They prorated the other tire since I still had a good amount of thread remaining. There is a website to make appointments but I had a tire emergency so needed the quickest option. 4/5 Parking A lot of members park in the designated tire center spots which makes it difficult to find a spot nearby. This Costco tire center has always come through for me. Although not for tires but for the batteries. Whenever I'm in need of a battery the tire center has been able to help me. Costco carries the Interstate brand. If not in stock they will help you find one at another Costco location or order it. Don't forget to bring your core so you don't get charged. Service is great only thing is there's always a wait. Usually a line of customers and it's always just one employee at the register helping them. It's the Costco experience I guess and after it's all said and done you're a satisfied Costco member. read more

I had a very frustrating experience at the Costco Tire Center in Azusa. I scheduled a 10:00 a.m. appointment and arrived at 9:55 a.m., only to be told they weren't ready for 10:00 appointments yet. If showing up five minutes early is a problem, what's the point of making an appointment? Even more frustrating, they accept walk-ins alongside appointments. Despite having a scheduled time, I still waited about 90 minutes before my car was actually serviced. That completely defeats the purpose of booking ahead. My time is valuable, and waiting 1.5+ hours with an appointment is unacceptable. When the work (a single tire replacement) was finished, I wasn't notified. I had to keep checking back to see if my car was ready. Customers shouldn't have to chase down updates on paid service. Lastly, they replaced my custom tire valve cap with a basic green cap without asking. It's a small detail, but it shows a lack of care. I've been a longtime Costco member, but this will be the last time I purchase tires here. America's Tire offers similar pricing with much faster and smoother service. Can't beat their prices, but service can be better. Always make an appt or you're going to be told the wait is 4-5 hours! Thankfully I had an appt, but waiting in line hearing them give the estimated time was excruciating and long. They really should have two lines, one for appts and one for walk ins. They do call you when the car is almost ready, which is cool, but don't tell you to walk up to the roll up doors and knock to get your car. Waited in the line again to find that out, then they are annoyed you knock on the roll up doors wondering why you're there. Told them the desk said to knock and proceeded to finally get my keys, but again as if I was annoying them. Also had an issue where my tire sensor light came on shortly after I left. They took care of it quickly enough, but made me feel like I was bothering them. A bit annoying as I had to make a second trip back. Worth the savings? Not sure. Second time coming here. First time they damaged my powder coated rims but said damage was already there when it wasn't. Damage was clearly "fresh". Second time I come at 10:40am for my 10:45am appointment. Take my time shopping and come out to see 12:30pm my car hasn't even been started on. I'm here for the free tire rotation to keep in line with tire warranty. They obviously skipped me for paying customers even though I had an appointment. 3 hours to complete a simple rotation with an appointment is just ridiculous. The staff and Jong the manager was awesome! I bought all my tires from Costco and brought in my car for a tire rotation twice prematurely, once because I thought it was time after 6 months and then a 2nd time because my car was alerting me for a week that tire rotation is due. I haven't setup any notifications on my car, my mechanic does it as he has done it for my oil change. It was my fault I brought in the car prematurely before the 6k to 8k miles, but John was great an made an exception since it was close and it was my 2nd time bringing it back. Worst service ever! You can't get through by phone, when you actually do they give you false information and have no interest in helping you. They trick you to go to website to make an appt but appts can only be made if you are making a purchase, I needed repair for my new tire. I called back and made an appt for the next day and when I got there they said it was for the day I called which was a lie! Why is Costco allowing this tire service center to sully their good name? It might have just been bad luck for me, but my experience with this tire center was terrible. I ordered new tires 3 weeks ago and scheduled an appointment. The tires arrived a few days before my appointment day. I guess the first screw up was scheduling the appointment at 11am. I showed up at 10:15am and even though there were only less than 10 people in front of me, by the time I got to the counter it was 11:10am. I get to the counter and the gentleman said only 2 out of the 4 tires were delivered. I asked when the other 2 were going to be delivered and he said he doesn't know. Then he tried to upsell me on another 4 tires they have. The only positive was the refund was a breeze. I would definitely make appointments if you can, the waiting time for walkins were 3.5 to 4hrs. read more

Oscar refused to get my car keys after my tire rotation. He demanded I push my cart of groceries around to the side door and keep banging on it until someone answered, which noone did. Had to push my cart back inside to once again to request my car keys. Oscar was still too lazy to get my car keys. Literally no one else there, but he outright refused, and demanded I once again push my cart of groceries around to the side door, outright lied through his teeth, saying the side door and garage door were now open, which they still were not. I don't like to give bad reviews especially to Costco but I had a very bad experience at this tire store. The rest of Costco is great. Has an appointment showed up early because I know their line moves sloooooow. I overheard a guy in front of me didn't have an appointment and they waited on him taking their time letting him pick out tires while people with an appointment wait. This made me late for my appointment which would make me late for picking up my daughter. I read reviews here of them helping out other people who don't have appointments. It's not good biz. If I am scheduled at 12 I want to be in at 12. They don't tell you ever the phone that you may not get the time of your appointment. What's the fucking point of taking appointments if it's just going to be a free for all. Sorry Costco you 100 percent lost my tire business. 800 bucks is going elsewhere. read more

I usually have good experience with Costco, but today I have to vent my frustration. I called the Tire Center a little before 3pm about a replacement tire and asked if they were busy today. The guy on the phone says they can probably take one more and to come over. When I got there, the guy told me they are no longer accepting new customers. WTF, I just wasted my time and gas driving over there! I explained to the guy that I had called in earlier and was told to come in but the guy just brushed me off. First off, I really like Costco and the services they provide. I always think Costco first when it comes to purchasing anything. I decided it was time to try their tire department. I call and ask about tires for my 2019 BMW M4 that from factory comes with non-run flat Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The person I was talking to was asking me for my tire size instead of the car. I think this is a huge issue when it comes to buying tires as most people won't know what the full tire size is or even means. They'll know if it's like 17 or 18 tire but nothing like 255 35 ZR 19 with XL load rating. I told this person that I had staggered fitment and he kept insisted that 255 35 R19 was the rear. I kept repeatedly telling him no and that my rear was 275 35 R19. He finally asked for what the model year of the car is and what rim is on the car. He was telling me that I needed runflats and that my Michelin Pilot Super Sport are "ZR" tires because ZR means zero pressure, he was obviously incorrect and insisted that the Z stood for zero pressure. First of all, Michelin Pilot Super Sport never came in run flat form, BMW M cars never come with run flats. I insisted that I wanted the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S and he gave me a quote, he was like this is just an estimate and could be like 20 bucks more. I questioned, "why would it be more?" "I didn't include taxes, fees and installation". I don't think quotes work that way, and tax on a set of tires that are 1300 dollars is at least 100+ and installation is another 20 dollars each. Another thing was that if I were to buy the Pilot Sport 4S from Costco, they said I would have to document that I didn't get run flats and I would have no warranty. Highly highly recommend running away from this tire shop. Since I know my car and I used to work in the auto industry, they can't confuse me or try to scam me and purchase run flat tires for a car that never came with run flat tires. I guess since it was covered by the warranty. They told me it would take three hours to get done, so I agreed, gave them my keys, and went to go do some grocery shopping with my gf. For the first time ever Costco Tire Center has completely FAIL me when it comes to tires and their so call "warranty" .. I went in for a tire warranty and showed them the tire defects and they saw it themself and agree but according to Costco Policy their warranty coverage that is not mentioned when buying tires is mentioned Which it has be less then 5 years, yet my tires have only been driven for 19,000 miles and the tires have a 70,000 mile warranty per Michelin Tire , which by the way Michelin Honors at any of their authorized Michelin Dealer , and according to Costco Tire representatives they are NOT an authorized Michelin Dealer .. On my way to SoCal from the Bay Area, I hit a flat on I5. I was super fortunate to have a spare tire that I was able to change out, but was worried about driving back to the bay on that spare. Good thing I had purchased my tires at Costco. Because even though I bought them here in San Jose, this Costco in the 626 was able to help me with my warranty and everything and got it changed out for me.. hassle free! The guys here were super friendly and fast on assisting me to take care of things, especially since I was in a hurry (since I was only going to be in SoCal for a few days). I bought tires for my Toyota 4runner. Granted it's a 2007. It had been raining so I hadn't had the car washed. I bought 4 Michelin tires on sale for over 1000.00. I went back 2 days later to have what I already paid for installed. I was told with an appointment it would be 1 -1.5 hr install. I arrived 15 min earlier my appointment time. It took 3 hrs hanging around. I would have thought they would have removed all the stickers off the tires, cleaned all the chalk and spill marks off the tires and ensured I had 4 valve stem caps. I had 2 with a Toyota logo , 1 generic and none on the 4th tire. I think they could have done 4 new generic and given me back my 2 Toyota ones or something for the price paid and the long wait. Though I'm sure that the times increase during their busier times but I went in on a Saturday as a walk in and was truly impressed! After having tire trouble and getting it fixed (I thought), my flat tire light came on again and my head about exploded. I drove over to Costco, which was where I was headed anyway and on a weekend morning, wandered over and asked if they had room for walk ins. Erik (?) was soooo helpful. The wait was an hour and a half, and he actually decided to just come and take a look at my tires to make sure I won't be wasting my time. He checked my tires, checked out the pressure - reset the pressure, and then set my tire pressure monitor and showed me how and why my car's system was finicky and crazy. AND he didn't accept any money and said he was happy to be able to help. Um, we're coming here from now on, because they're fantastic. I came in to Costco to have (1) flat tire repaired. The initial wait time was 2-2.5 hours at 10:45 am. Excessive wait time? Yes, for one tire. After two hours I checked and my car was still not even looked at. I waited and waited and waited and waited some more. I finally received my car at 2:45 pm, unbelievable!!! 4 FN hours ridiculous!!!If I could give negative stars I would. Never buying tires here again, even it it cost less than other places.
