Great store. Should always check prices as they sometimes don't have the lowest, but they mostly do! I love their return policy as they do not hassle you. Hope people don't abuse this excellent policy. I would give them five stars if they would fix the parking problem. It is the biggest reason many people won't go shopping there because they hate the parking issue. The return policy can not be beat. Costco is the first place we look for any purchase that they may carry. Lots of great products at great prices. My only real gripe is the Eugene stores Tire department. I have used them 3 or 4 times, and always walked away with a great deal, but unhappy with the service. For me, this is a trade off I reluctantly accept. read more

I love visiting different Costcos when I go to different cities. Yes, I am a Costco fanatic and so is our whole family. It's always fun to see the different setups and to find different items offered at different locations. This location was clean, but the design seemed a little on the older side. The people that work and SHOP at this Costco are awesome!! Their staff is always friendly, even when harried and you have a difficult request (ie. returns or a forgotten card). Pharmacy, Photo, Eyeglasses, Jewelry, Electronics... nothing but great customer CARE. One time, my husband left his just purchased cell phone ear-jack in the shopping cart. 4 hours later, I called Costco and, surprise - some kind shopper had turned it in to Customer Service! A few months later, his wallet fell out of his pocket while testing an office chair he purchased. When the chair was brought out to load in the car - his wallet was returned. A fellow shopper had turned it in; fully intact. If only Costco sold memory chips for forgetful husbands!! I have visited other Oregon locations, and find this the best. The Maui Costco can't hold a plumeria-scented candle to the Eugene store for selection. read more

How can you sell bags of coffee beans and not have a grinder like the other Costcos? Making cold brew coffee, I need coarse ground coffee not fine or drip ground. Other Costcos have two machines, this Costco has zero. I just don't get it. Who wants to grind up huge amounts of coffee in the little home grinder? Their coffee sales would increase enough to pay for the grinders, and have happier customers. Also this Costco doesn't sell the Kirkland parchment paper. But, on the bright side, their are optical department is really good! read more

This rating is about food - specifically the food court! I'd pay the membership fee just to eat here! This is by far one of the best values in the state (anywhere where Costco is). Hot dogs, Pizza, Hot Turkey Sandwiches, Chicken Bakes, Caesar Salad, smoothies and Hot (& Cold) Mochas. I'm sorry but I'm a sucker for cheap quality food and this place has it in spades. Yeah the selection is limited, but it is still on my regular list for places to get a quick meal - especially with the kids. I LOVE taking he kids to get samples then stopping at the food court. The downside - I occasionally walk out with a 6 month supply of toilet paper or some other bulk item. But even then, much of Costco's shopping selection caters to middle class shoppers with quality prepared foods. I usually top off my gas tank here as well - usually the lowest priced gas around. read more

This has always been a place my parents go, since I was really little. I always went with them just to eat the samples. But they have pretty decent deals on most things! I mean besides the membership, but that's a small fee once a year. I've always loved going here just to get... Well, anything really. The many people that work there are generally nice people too. Especially the old ladies who give samples :) Also the gas price is really low. I don't get gas there though cause A) my parents are the ones with a member ship and I'm not paying for it, and B) it's always a cluuuuuuuster fuck! So many people I can't stand it. When I first knew my now-husband, he had no concept of the beauty of Costco. In fact, on his first visit there with me, he was so overwhelmed by the mass of humanity that he was compelled to sit down on the first bargain-priced leather recliner we passed, just to regain his composure. Since then, he has embraced the concept, and, wherever we travel, he wants to compare and contrast the local version of Costco. In South Florida, pickled herring and matzoh; in Mexico, exotic peppers and Spanish language books. Here in Eugene--great deals on really good things. The seafood events are great, super values on books and dvd's, a decent wine section, super cheap one hour photo finishing, great deals on tvs and electronics, FABULOUS Italian aged Reggiano Parmesian cheese, the most consistently perfect avocados I have ever found....I can, and might, go on and on. Especially I love Costco's rep for treating their employees well. Rare these days especially in the discount chain world. I am glad to support these people. A PS: In some places, like the Costco in south Florida we have visited a number of times, you box your own stuff. Not in Eugene. We have the friendliest Costco--and they will box your haul efficiently, and with a smile. read more

I've been shopping here for one year and I've only found a handicap cart twice (my right foot is injured). The parking is non-existent even with a handicap placard! Because of these two hindrances I only shop here once a MONTH or less and I used to shop once a WEEK or more when I lived by the Roseburg store. The optical staff act like they hate their jobs; twice now I have been standing there while they are talking badly about the previous customer. When I called to find out if my glasses had arrived it was as if they didn't want to check- and the item was actually there. Costco pays their employees pretty darn good- maybe they could invest in some customer service classes for the optical staff! read more

I went to the costco in Eugene from Florence for a hot dog and a yogurt, I knew that i was not able to get a sausage dog. but when i found out that i was not able to get a yogurt that was screwed up. ended up going to DQ for one. Needless to say, I was bummed. I bought what i was going to buy since I was there anyway. But I might reconsider since I am coming from the Coast to there next time. Cost alot of Diesel to get there. My girl friend bought that ice cream and hated it. she said it was nasty. tossed it in the trash. Other then that the customer service was as always was outstanding. loved that part of it. This Costco is like every other Costco I've been to. By now, I think almost everyone knows that you can buy your food in bulk and get some decent deals on furniture, alcohol, clothing and electronics. They have an optical center and a gas station too. Their yearly membership costs $55 but they try really hard to sell you on the premium membership where you pay for two years up front ($110) and then get money back at the end of the year after shopping there throughout the year. I did sound like a good deal but I was starting to get annoyed at how hard the sales woman was pushing the premium card. I told her I was using the membership for work and she continued to tell me how much it would benefit me and would be great for my company etc. I know some people get bonuses with signing people up but I said no a few times and would have appreciated it if she had just given me what I asked for. Other than that the employees who I interacted with after that were cheerful and very nice. I came on a Monday that was actually a holiday so it was packed and finding a spot in the parking lot was a little crazy but I think that's just part of the Costco experience-trying to not run over a little old lady with her 30 count pack of toilet paper and 50 pound bag of cat food. The optical center has their own Yelp page but my experience there was decent and I was in and out pretty fast. This is a great place to shop for pillows, mattress toppers, produce and frozen food especially if you have a big family. I probably won't do most of my every day shopping here because it's just myself and my boyfriend and they don't carry any high quality pet food. Vitamins and alcohol are other great things to buy here because you get a great deal buying those things in larger quantities. read more

I love Costco, but stay away from this one. My 90 year old mother who walks with a cane is a member. She had a handicap parking pass. Unfortunately, they have very few handicap parking spaces and those that they have are always taken by 500lb slobs who have no business using them. Add to this problem that the low IQ staff won't let anyone else use a member's card, unless the member pays extra to put them on the membership. In addition, they are always moving things around so that one can never find things he or she wants to purchase a second time. Finally, the cashiers are dumber than the rest of the staff and incompetent to boot. Stay away. read more

This location is so bad I'm going to write to corporate and complain, and I encourage everyone reading this review to do the same. Every other Costco I've ever been has been clean, had good produce, and had a tempting and frequently changing supply of random stuff you didn't think you wanted to buy until you saw it there in the middle of the store while you were pushing your leviathan of a cart. This Costco is dirty, the produce is lousy, and I have yet to see something awesome, like a 20 color pack of glitter pens or one of those other Costco impulse purchases I remember so fondly from other happy Costco shopping experiences. But the worst thing is the STAFF. WTF IS UP WITH THE STAFF. Oregon has, what, 200% unemployment? Like, even if you have a job, you're still unemployed, right, because you live in Oregon? So could someone please explain to me why there are so many bad employees here? Especially working for a great employer like Costco, it makes no sense. No sense! The people at this Costco look and act like they work for Saruman or something. Costco pharmacy does not fulfill mental health prescriptions for Trillium (Oregon Health Plan). Not a single worker there, including the pharmacist knew (or was willing to say) why. I found out from somewhere else that it is because Trillium does not pay them enough. I had no idea this was even a possibility. I usually like Costco, but this has tarnished their reputation almost completely for me. read more

I have had problems with this Costco for along time and it's obviously related to the store general manager. First, they seldom if ever answer the phone. You can get General Information or reach the tire shop. The tire shop in undermanned unprofessional and overwhelmed. This too is the fault of the tire shop manager. I complained and nothing ever changes. It appears that the management staff just lets these complaints roll off their shoulders and since it's popular they don't care about angry customers or have any intention to fix any problems. Love the Costco way of doing business but these two managers should be fired immediately. read more

Best store ever. Their policy is not to mark anything in the store up over 14%. They treat their employees well (i.e. decent wages, insurance coverage, not being open at all hours, and closed holidays). They aren't overly wasteful (hence being open during daylight to utilize skylights, not using plastic bags, etc.). I consider this place to be a BEST VALUE store. It may not have the cheapest stuff, but what you get is quality and they stand behind it. My motto is if Costco doesn't carry it, then you don't need it. read more

I wouldn't recommend their Tire Store. First of all, they didn't have my tires in stock. I'm guessing that a large percentage of people who are getting new tires are doing so because they have an immediate need. Second, I was told my tires would be sent and available in 3-5 days and was told the store would contact me once they were received. After 7 business days without hearing from Costco, I finally called the store. I had to let the phone ring for over 3 minutes before someone bothered to answer, and then sat on hold for another 16 minutes. Then I sat on hold for another 4 minutes while they looked for my tires and was told that my tires were delivered but they hadn't got around to calling me yet. Then I had to wait another week before they had an available appointment. To say that I am less than satisfied with their service is an understatement. read more

I received a gift card for $100 for Christmas to Costco. In March, my wife and I went to the Eugene store. We showed the gift card at the entrance and the person was quite pleasant. We found a few things we could use and went to the check out stand. When we presented the gift card the cashier did not know what to do and called someone over. We spent $114 and I paid the balance with my debit card. About a week later when balancing my checkbook I found that I had been charged for the entire purchase. I called customer service and was routed by phone to the Eugene store. I was asked if I had the receipt, which I did not. The person asked who gave me the card and I told them. They told me they would investigate and call that person and that the best they could do was give me another gift card. I told them I did not want to buy another gift card, just a return of my money. They said that they would investigate and get back to me. They called the person that gave me the card and confirmed what I had told them and also confirmed that all cards they had given at Christmas had been used except my card. I waited a few weeks for them to call me back as they had said and they did not. I then called the direct line that I had supposedly been given and asked for the appropriate person and they didn't know what I was talking about and said it sounded too difficult for them. I was told I would be transferred to someone who would help me. I was put on hold for at least 15 minutes and then the phone hung up. At this point I called my bank to stop payment. They did a 10 day investigation and since I didn't have a receipt they could do nothing. I am sure Costco intends to be a fine company and do the right thing most of the time, however, in this instance they failed miserably. I would never, ever return to a company that I believe to be no more than common thieves. I got double charged, they confirmed I got double charged, and still decided that the best course of action was to steal my money. read more

Have been a member for 19 years and just received the worst customer experience from asst supervisor Sean. Family runs thousands of dollars through costco, came in on december 2nd to get a phone that was 380 dollars off but seems my 78 year old dad who is head of the firm and renews it yearly waited in a long line 2 weeks earlier and they told him to come back which he hasnt been able to and it lapsed nov 30th 2 days earlier. Sean was unable to perform simple basic customer service to allow me to buy phone because thats " how they lose thousands of dollars". I guess loyal customers who have been members for 2 decades and lapsed by 2 days are out to get costco. Sad because i have always been loyal but it takes one little supervisor with little mans syndrome to destroy such a long relationship. Always had good experience with everyone there until I had to deal with Sean, definetly the weakest link in what is an otherwise hospitable team. read more

DO NOT BUY TIRES HERE!!! You will not get service because they are completely understaffed. For the last 40 years, I always went to Les Schwab but wanted to save a few bucks, turned out to be the worst decision since ever. Appointments are not on time, when you try and call, it rings and rings and rings, no one answers. One of the worst customer experiences I've ever had. Right now, I have a flat tire and have been on hold for a long time, just waiting to see if they'll fix my tire if I bring it down. In a few more minutes -- News flash- they just answered and said that they would fix my tire, if I got it down there, BUT, the first available appointment is Sunday, (it's Wednesday). He said that it's relatively slow right now and could come down and probably get taken care of. HAHAHA, I'm not falling for that. I'll pay Les Schwab to fix it. read more
