This is a really good Costco. I almost like shopping here just as much as going to the mall.. It can get crowded on weekends, but I don't mind. The only problem might be if a person is on their new iPhone 6 and is not paying attention to pushing their cart when there is somebody else behind them.. Anyway this Costco has about everything you can want and there is plenty of free samples to try. There's deals on alcoholic drinks that you wouldn't be able to find anywhere else. The only reason I wouldn't give five stars is because the area they have to sit down and eat doesn't have a huge selection. Just got Costco gas for the first time and am very impressed. I always avoided it because of the long lines and wasn't sure how it worked but decided to give it a try and I had no problems. This is the first time I've used the Costco carwash. for the price it does its job and it's convenient. You pay the box then you wait for the employee for instructions. Easy peasy. Of course it doesn't do a thorough job, but you can expect a wash similar to any other drive through washes. I wish they had them at Costcos near me! read more

Well, today wasn't a good day. Showed up for appointment and couldn't half understand the gentleman in the office, had to ask him to repeat everything he said. I asked two different service men if the spare tire would also be checked cause I was going on a road trip. When they finished rotating the tires I verified if the spare was checked. I was told that I had a small tire, like the donut. Do SUV's even come with donut spares? I disputed that because I had a full size tire. He bold face LIED about the spare, probably hadn't even bothered to look at it. I was told they were really busy but if I get the equipment out they would check my spare. A service man "figured out" how to lower the spare and I had to ask him to pull the spare from under the vehicle and visually inspect all sides of the tire, which he kinda did in a sarcastic manner. Not so satisfied with this visit to Costo's Lancaster Tire Center. Surely hope being busy doesn't mean safety is being compromised. read more

Best place to shop in the AV. Safe and clean an no panhandlers like other shopping centers in the AV. It does get crowded so you have to time it right - especially for gas. The AV is need of a 2nd Costco. read more

While I enjoy going to Costco, I don't go into the store very often unless I am purchasing something in particular. The parking can be a bit difficult because for this area, everyone seems to go to this Costco. If can also be crowded with quite a bit of stop and go. I did utilize the tire center where I purchased four new tires. The service tech was very helpful, took his time explaining the differences of the tires and which set would be more beneficial and cost efficient. They were able to balance and install my tires in less than an hour while I shopped inside. I would recommend this Costco. read more

I went in last week to purchase a few items and ended up getting a case of mangos while I was there. It appeared that there was supposed to be 5 in a box. When I went to check out, Maria and Juan both told me that I was short 1 mango and showed me how to check the quantity on the side of the case. Issac is the one who went and picked the missing mango for me. All 3 of them were extremely helpful. read more

I'm a big Costco fan. Usually good merchandise for a fair price. That being said some of the staff here can be rude. I forgot my card one day (I only have the Amex one) and tried to pay with a Costco cash card. They would not let me pay with the card (understandable because people try to use them to get around buying a membership), and were unable to find my membership in the computer. I was pretty much treated like I was doing something wrong by the cashier and assistant (grocery bagger?) because of their inept computer system. I had to leave all my stuff their and leave...not a good time after shopping with 2 little kids!! read more

I returned to Lancaster Costco after a decade. I used to go to Goleta. It's hard to articulate what's wrong with Costcos, but in ordinary supermarkets, people waiting in line treat each other with respect, and people who arrive first are first in line. Costco lines are free for alls. You will never here the words, "after you" spoken by a Costco customer. You will not see an orderly merger of lines. I cannot account for this phenomenon because it seems universal to Costco rather than the city in which it is located. This is a great place to shop every time I go there people are friendly we can find somebody to ask and I can always tag you are it is and they always show you play almost always have everything in stock it's a great Costco and they even sell propane gas a lot cheaper than anybody else so if you have tanks bring them there they also have a great pizza and a fantastic price 18 inch pieces in there always good never had a bad one but you have to get the ones that are cooked you can't buy the ones in the store they're different and I hear lady say they bring their kids there and get them samples for their dinners that's a great idea if going ladies keep your kids happy read more

They have catering platters. All your needs are right inside and the staff are always so friendly and professional. It has a really family friendly centered feel to it. Some people do yoga, some may go to a day spa I prefer Costco. You can never go and "try" to spend less then $80.00... then again you know what your gonna get into anyway before you get greeted at the door. My average day at Costco start off in the jewelry, mosey over to the lcds/plasmas, grab a roasted ck, head up and down every aisle making friends with the sample personal, pick up some odds and ends and think " my life would be perfect with this $27.99 lucky brand sweater and a twelve pack of deodorant" I do my rounds in the odds and ends aisle pick up as much Christmas decorations as possible and check out. In the end I spend close to $400.00 on decorations and an imagination, $1.50 on a hot dog and a coke, my car is full and super shiny. I Love Costco!!! read more

Always find some great deals here. The place is always clean and organized. The weekends and holidays tend to be a bit of a mess and the checkout lines can get long. Eye exams here are really affordable as well as photo printing, ink cartridge refills, and the food court. The lines for gas can get ridiculous but it is the cheapest in town. read more

So just to clear up some if these 1 and 2 star people I see down here. This is supposed to be a rating for the store itself and I would say multiple experiences, but to each their own. Anyone who buys produce and doesn't look at it, well... Enough said. Costco even gave a $25 gift card and the girl rated them a 2 star??? I don't understand. It's because of Richard in the tire center, Tim who holds down the front and the tire center, Brenda who is all over, Jules the Packers Fan who has the best greetings ever, Carlos who holds down the front, Alex who holds down the front and the tire center, Hugo one of my favorite cashiers, Corey another favorite cashier, and to my guy that always greets me with "Welcome Home My Friend" his name slipped my mind but he makes sure Costco is clean and the floors are sparkling, Ches retired now but held down the greeting spot, and all the other friendly faces that I should know their names but that's okay because they are all AWESOME! My Costco in Lancaster is about the employees and not about what "Corporate" policies are. My Costco in Lancaster is nowhere near as packed as any Costco I have ever been too. The gas station is open early and closes late. The car wash is on point for a quick in and out but bring a rag to do some additional drying. The Meat, especially Prime, is top notch. I buy fruit sometimes and have not taken home any with mold because I open the container. Sometimes I take a taste test because what's next a 1 star for sour grapes because that's Costcos fault? LOL! If anyone dare compare Costco to Sam's shame on you because the people are not the same and neither is the atmosphere. However Sam's does have the Scan and go which I must say Costco is technologically behind in incorporating. So after going back and forth to Costco tire dept. I write this review. on Friday May 21st I was welcomed during the morning hours by a young gentleman. great customer service. i was looking for a set of BF goodrich A/T KO2 tires. They only had three tires BF Good rich A/T tires due to a cancelled order so he ordered a fourth tired for me. since it was a cancelled order he wasnt able to charge me due to the pending refund of the previous customer that had cancelled. after him searching for all discounts posible he priced me at $1020 for everything out the door. he informed me that the fourth tire would arrive in maybe a week. he took my name and phone number. i never get called. so i go next friday june 1st, same gentlemen in the morning helps me out and he informs me that the tire arrive. he gives me the same price $1020. so as he is imputing all information he infoms me that the tires dont apear on the inventory. he checks with his manager and comes back and ask me if i could come back in a couple of days. so the manager can inventory the tires. confusing but thats what i got from the gentlemen. due to him being polite and curteous i didnt mind. So Monday June 4th i show up around 7:40 evening to check the status on the tires and it was a different staff at the tire dept. it started of good by him saying " oh yes tires are ready, they been on hold for you" great news right? well he rings me up and now priced me at $1067. i know, i know, its only $47 more right. well i explained to the staff member and pretty much he wasnt concern, he stated "thats the price that comes up, and the only discount is on michellin tires. he didnt bother verifying of other discounts that the prior staff had searched. so i figured its Ok ill jist come back another day and deal with the same gentleman i did the first time. No big deal. So i informed the tire dept rep. that ill come back and check with the first gentlemen that had helped me out and his last words were "its ok first come first serve" or we will just probly send them back. thats what got me upset but i had my two daughters with me so i just left. So today thursday june 7th around 3:00 pm i show up to costco tire dept. hoping to find the first gentlemen that helped me out initially but no luck. so i figured Ok ok ill pay the extra $47 dollars. so i asked the tire dept sales rep at the desk and i dont know if he was tired or maybe its good to go to Costco in the Morning that every one is fresh and happy. i informed him what happened the previous time but before i even finished he just says" those tire are on hold, we have them in stock but they are not inventoried. so as im trying to tell him that i was here before and that they were able to sell me the tires but he insisted they canot sell them. he yelled outloud to the back of the werehouse to one of his staffs "those BF Goodridge tires not inventoried" and some one replies "the ones by the restroom, not yet! pending refund!" so i tell the guy i been coming back and forth. so i ask the tire rep. would it be faster if he just puts in a new order of BF goodrich tires. he goes to his computer and prices me at $1095. as i tried to explain to him that its been three diferent prices he quickly replies"I dont know what those other guys were looking at!" meaning that every staff has their own pricing. as i was about to show him a $60 costco discount for bf goodrich tires on my phone through my E-mail he just tell me. "you can go ahead and order them online"That really put the icing on the cake, i had enough. really let down by costco tire dept personel after all the recomendations and positive feedback i give to people/co-workers who dont have costco membership to enroll. I immediately went to Americas tire in lancaster. and wow! price match and beyond. ordered all Four tires BF Goodrich A/T KO2 for $989.66 the only reason for the two stars is that the first young sales rep that helped me out regardless of the situation was curteous and great customer service. i feel bad for the long review and most likely i dont think anything will come out of it but just expressing my experience. Costco is good, great prices but for this time im just expressing my experience with the tire dept. read more

Have been going to this Costco for over ten years dating back to when they were located at Valley Central Way and they have never let me down. Although it is always crowded, the lines go fast and there is always someone there to help you.
