If you want to shop at a grocery store to be patronized and to receive absolute insolence/disrespect, come here to Montclair Costco! They have the worst employers (Kevin) and worst employees (Andrea). I came here to shop for my ill grandmother's medicine and resources, expecting to only spend 50-60$. After waiting in a excruciatingly long line (40 mins) with my cousins, I was greeted by a senile woman, with a semi-dark complexion. Her name is Andrea -- one of Satan's spawns. As I tried to inform her to separate the first and second purchases (between my cousins and I), she immediately gave me attitude and disregarded my request. I repeated the request a second time, and she continued to ignore me. A third request, still nothing. After yapping, "Can you please separate our items," she finally heard me and stated, "Cannot do that it's not our policy." She then proceeded to combine the items/order and ask me for my membership card -- Mind you, I was purchasing groceries for my ill grandmother, while my cousins shopped for the family. After showing her the membership card and paying close to 200$. She then scornfully stated, "you know I'm letting you use your grandmother's membership card, right?" I then asked for her name so I can inform the manager of her poor customer service and she sarcastically snickered "Andrea." I then went to the manager (Kevin) to submit my negative experience and and merely stated, "sorry that's our policy, there's nothing I can do." I ordered picture holiday cards online. They were supposed to be ready by 11:30 am. When I went to pick them up, I went at 11. They said they weren't ready and would be ready at 11:30. I waited and came back at 11:30. I asked for the picture cards again. The guy was rude and said they aren't ready they have thousands of pictures that need to be ready by 11:30. THIS REVIEW IS STRICTLY ABOUT THE COSTCO WIRELESS KIOSK AT RANCHO CUCAMONGA! IF YOU WANT A PHONE AND STELLAR CUSTOMER SERVICE - GO HERE!!! Sure the club is nice but I didn't go there for a shopping trip, I went there because the Costco Wireless closest to me was staffed by a set of complete jerks that treated my family as if they were beneath contempt. My issue was with an iPhone which had been purchased at another Costco in Northern CA and sent to my mom as a gift. The phone was sold as 'new' but in reality it was an older iPhone 7 that was defective in multiple areas. Apple was of no help (NEWS FLASH - iStore 'Genius Bar' is Anything but!) and the mental giants at SB Costco told her to return it to the store where purchased. All they wanted to do was argue despite being told that location was 400 miles away! That's when I stepped in, called the Rancho kiosk and talked with Cheyenne who had a replacement phone. She put it on hold for me and we were off to RC. This occurred during the Christmas rush and by the time I got to the RC club, Cheyenne was gone. However, this was a plus because that when I became acquainted with the man who should be manager of that store. His name is Steven! Due to the bad treatment we had got at the other club, I was ready for resistance BUT Steve (although swamped with customers...) was more than glad to assist. We had to wait a while but it was worth it after the hassle we had been through! I work in I.T. and explained the issues with the phone while 'demo-ing' them in real time so Steve could see for himself. Steve made it clear 'swapping' the iPhones would not be a solution for multiple reasons, not the least of which was Apple's current practice of sending bug-ridden updates to their users! (YEP! If you're an Apple person, you're their beta tester and not getting paid for the hassle. Nice, eh?) After considering the options; Steve got my mom into an Android phone that is much better than the Apple. He was kind, thorough and took time with her to explain different features while making sure she was comfortable with her choice. He took time to make sure the transaction was completed properly and even took time to train her a bit on how the phone worked being Android is much more flexible than Apple. Steve and the entire staff at this kiosk was customer focused and willing to ensure the client was satisfied. In fact, Steve made sure everything was complete and was determined that this issue would be resolved that day. Steve is a man of his word and despite the time it took (we were the last customers to leave Costco that evening ...) every issue was resolved and my mom had a new phone that did and still does work great!! All thanks to Steve, Cheyenne, Peter and the rest of the team at Costco Wireless Rancho Cucamonga, CA. When I need another phone, I will go there. Thanks again Steve - You ROCK!! read more

I've recently moved from Chino Hills to Upland, and one thing stands out to me as a consumer, customer service. Chino Hills by far exceeds Montclair. I've come in numerous times and I've never received service that is friendly or inviting. The only department that says hello and acknowledges your presence are the nice gentlemen in the meat department. They great you, ask if they can help in any way, take you to the item and even give you suggestions. The cashiers here are not hospitable, they seem consumed in getting you out of the way. I understand. This store is all about getting you in and out, but some social interaction keeps people feeling like they're business is appreciated. Costco is a awesome corporation, and I love shopping at the retailer. Hopefully someone takes note. read more

This used to be a decent place to shop (much like any other Costco) until they started accepting EBT a few months ago. It now resembles a chaotic ZOO and the parking lot has assumed the atmosphere of a state-fair demolition derby. Most of the shoppers now appear to be either more aggressive or completely clueless (e.g., the lady who was yelling it was because of her ethnicity that the Costco employee asked to see her receipt upon leaving the store--I guess she didn't notice that all shoppers were being checked). Finally, it was once possible to try a food sample or two while shopping. Now, all of the sample stations are either tied up with large families or the shopper who parks after accepting the free sample as if the sample station is a drive up restaurant. Courtesy. This is in regards to the food court out front. usually Costco pizza is some of the best pizza you can find when you need a quick fix..However the pizza I ordered last night was miserable. We were told a 35 minute wait, so we did some shopping and ended up coming out of the about 45 minutes later. Waited in line to pick up a hot and fresh pepperoni pizza, and I was told "oh we just put it in the oven, it will be about 8 more minutes." Waited another 8 minutes and walked up to the window and was handed a pizza..Usually you can see the pizza pulled right down off the racks and handed to you. My pizza came from somewhere out of my field of vision. We got home and started putting our Christmas tree together and I went to grab a slice and here's where it further went downhill. The pizza was covered in bright orange grease, no big deal right? Wiped it off and then realized that the pizza looked funny. Half of the pizza looked like it was thin crust and they other half was a bloated under-cooked mess with some of the crust missing. Not to mention the pizza was cut horribly with lines and cuts everywhere..(how hard is it to cut a pizza). Beside the point bad pizza is still good pizza..typically. However taking the first bite I found our pizza had little to no sauce. All I could taste really was grease. Usually Costco makes great food, this fell far short.I wish I would have taken a picture. Side note* The optical department was spot on with my girlfriends new glasses and how to take care of them. They also taught her how to use the progressive lens. ***** Five stars for them. read more

This costco is like usual ones, busy but a bit dirty. Be careful when buying fruit from here. They don't check the freshness in their fruit. We had a hard time finding watermelon that didn't have mold or soft spots. Then we moved on to other fruit and found old fruits again. Come on costco if I wanted old, moldy or soft fruits I'd go to the 99 cent store. read more

Apart from those dirty and delicious L.A. hot dogs wrapped in a slice of bacon you get from the people w/ carts after getting outta the bar/club/show at the end of the night - these are my favorite dogs. -some onions -a little relish -mustard -(f@#k you ketchup!!!) -CHOMP! Uh Costco is the best. Well worth it to buy all your sundries there. To make room for things like paper towels and other paper products that don't have a shelf life is well worth it. Plus when they have seafood roadshows the crab lobster and shrimp are excellent and fresh. I have also purchased cakes and baked goods. Full disclosure I was a price club employee (for 4 yrs) a long time before Costco and Price Club merged. All I can say is that a monthly or bi monthly trip can save you hundreds of dollars per year. If you have the space in a freezer or pantry, it's well worth it to buy the meat and freeze it in pounds or servings for as big as your family or just yourself. So that your local weekly grocery trip at the regular grocery store will be for small amounts of fruits and vegetables. But remember you can always buy with your neighbors and family and split the cost. Their products are far superior and the food moves off the shelf quickly so I have never had a problem if I was not 100% satisfied. read more

While ringing us up he was he encountered a problem with my insurance, I told him that I would return if I could figure out the problem over the weekend. After spending what seemed like a lifetime of going through the run around with my insurance, I returned back to only be greeted by Stephen once again. He remembered my mother and I and helped get us out of the in a timely manner. Moved to Upland and honestly compared to my old Costco in Los Feliz, Burbank, and Rowland Heights this place is a freaking dream. Less people, less cars, less traffic. Oh and the gas pumps aren't crazy lines. Don't carry all the usual items we get but gets the job done. Only think I couldn't understand was the weird line set up for the food court. It zig and zags. I think simple straight lines would suffice. Overall we are pleased. read more

I have been to different Costcos across the country and have never seen this low quality control on the products, I have so far experienced the following things go bad: Quinoa Carrots Sweet Corn Pizza tastes horrible here(I have tried pizza at other locations and it always tasted much better) It seems they don't take out the items even after they have gone bad Just for comparison sake I went to Costco in Azusa and they had waaay better item selection and fresh produce. I cannot understand how people come to this Costco in swarms and lined up all the time. Some of the people in membership are really good but some have an attitude, not sure why. This review is about Costco gas. Even though people say that all gas is the same I disagree. Whenever I pump gas from here I get more miles per tank than when I buy gas at different places. My driving is pretty much the same weekly. I think that Costco has top tier gas, which does make a difference. Sometimes you have to wait up to 10 mins to pump gas, it's worth the wait. read more

Costco is an anomaly in the realm of big business, for real. It's like they actually care about their customers. Like, there's no way they're making money off of their hot dog/Polish sausage (what even is a Polish sausage) combos. Like, they for sure knew that the table I returned was bought solely for the use of beer pong the night before, but they still accepted it with no questions asked.
